Princess Skyla's backstory (The origin of Princess Cadence)

It's been two days since Skyla arrived to Ponyville. She was already getting warmed up to the small town's inhabitants. She was still amazed at the warm welcome she got. Apparently, she will even get a welcome party this weekend. Though she missed her family she didn't regret coming here. She knew that leaving her home was the best thing to do for now.

Skyla is starting to get bored. She didn't have much to do today. She would've just spent the day reading with Twilight or hanging out with the Mane 6 and Starlight or even play with Spike. But they were all busy today. The Friendship School's starting today so they have to go work. She figured she would just roam in town today. Just then, Starlight appeared, all ready to go to the school.
"Hey Skyla", she greeted
"Hey Starlight. Ready to go to work I see."
"Yeah. Twilight's already gone since she has to prepare and check some stuff before officially starting. What about you? You think you'll be good alone?"
"I'll be fine. Bored but fine. I'll just roam in the town and chat with somepony."
"You're sure? You can always come with us and visit the school, you know."
"I don't wanna be a burden. I'm pretty sure you have so much work to do especially that it's first day."
"It'll be fine. Teaching's pretty fun at the Friendship School. And maybe you can teach something to the students. You'll be like a guest!", said Rainbow Dash.
"Will Twilight approve of my presence there...?" Asked Sky, worried about how the friendship princess will react if she goes there.
"She'll be delighted, darling!" Replied Rarity.

The mane five were all there. Their eyes were all pleading for the hybrid to go with them. Skyla looked at them, unsure of what she should do. She didn't want to disturb them. But then again, they said she could be a guest. And, she had nothing to do. Yet, she hesitated because Twilight didn't say she could go. But she knows how much Twilight loves showing her school to others. So, she should be fine.
"Fine. I'll go. But if anything about me disturbs you, be sure to tell me."
All of them squealed and hugged the Lynx princess.

The seven mares arrived at the School of Friendship. Twilight was a bit stunned, but excited to see Skyla with them.
"Skyla! I didn't expect you to be here! Are you here to visit?"
"Yeah... I hope I won't be a burden to you..."
"A burden? You're a guest here! You are welcome to come anytime you want!"
"Told ya." Whispered Dash to Skyla. The alicorn-lynx just rolled her eyes but smiled.

They entered the school. It was still empty since the students won't arrive until 9. It was only 8:15 so they used the extra time to give Skylenza a tour of the building. She loved every single part of it. She was amazed to see the unique organization of the classes. It looked more of a playground and a relaxing place rather than a school. She was excited to see the classes proceed though she already knew it would be fantastic.

Six creatures arrived at the school. It seemed they were the first students to arrive. They all smiled seeing the violet building that formed their friendship.
"Ah. I missed this place." Said the changeling.
"Same. Feels good to be back." Confirmed the green pony.
"Yona excited to go to class with friends and see professors!" Said the yak, presumably named Yona.
"Yeah. But it's cool to be able to come back to this place where I can prank someone without being thrown on the streets", smirked the griffon.
"Oh you're so funny, Gallus! But most importantly it'll be fun to finally be together with you guys again!", squealed the hypogriff.
Everycreature agreed to the hypogriff's words. One seemed quieter than usual though.

"Smolder, are you okay? You're awfully quiet." Asked Ocellus, the changeling.
The dragon, Smolder, seemed a bit in the clouds, deeply thinking. Yet, she still replied to her friend.
"Huh? Yeah I'm fine Ocellus. Just thinking about something."
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
"Oh don't bother. It's nothing. Let's just go inside."
Ocellus was skeptical but let it be. She knew her friend needed some space. And plus, the student reunion is about to start so she'll talk about it later.

The hall was filled with many students. They were from every corner of Equestria and even beyond. The staff of the school all stood on the platform in front of the students. Everyone was there. The headmaster, Twilight Sparkle. Spike the Dragon, her assistant. The school counselor, Starlight Glimmer. The teachers : Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Apppejack and Pinkie Pie. Princess Skyla stood behind them, away from curious eyes. She was waiting to be presented, before showing herself. She was in her lynx form to represent her kingdom, Lynxia. She was a bit nervous of how the students will react. Lynxes were never known for showing themselves outside their kingdom, excepting some meetings or during war. She, herself, has never seen the Diarchs of Equestria, Celestia and Luna. She never accompanied her parents to the meetings they had with other royals. She didn't like meetings. Yet, she'd have to go one day since she's the Crown Princess of the Lynxian kingdom. But she's a little bit relieved her coronation will be retarded. Well, she doesn't have to worry about that, now.

Twilight started her speech : "It's very heartwarming to my friends and myself to see you here in this school, ready for a friendship school year. I'm sure all of you are excited to attend classes and make some friends. All of us, both teachers and students, will make sure this semester will be one of the best you will ever have. We will make sure that it will be engraved in your heart, making it one of the best memories you'll make." Every student cheered, showing their excitement and approval of what their headmistress just said. Twilight waited for a seconds to let the cheering die down, before continuing. "The rules in this school were specially made to let you have fun without making the others uncomfortable. I hope you will all contribute into following those few rules we have. Your dorms and schedules will be shared by my faithful assistant, Spike. We will get to that later but first we want to present someone." Skyla was getting more and more nervous. In about a minute she will have to show herself. She's scared because she has never shown herself to so many creatures before. She took a big breath to calm herself down. "I'm sure at least one of you knows about the legendary kingdom of Lynxia. It is the most powerful feline kingdom, inhabited by graceful Lynxes. And a few days ago, I had the honor to meet one. And not just any lynx. One who is powerful in both status and magic. And I also had the honor to host her in the Friendship Castle. I hope all of you will warmly welcome her. Now, I have the honor to present to you, Crown Princess Skylenza, heir to the Lynxian throne!" The announced stepped out from behind her friends. She had her head up, showing her nobility. The students cheered when they saw her, and they bowed, showing their respect for her. Skyla scanned every face. She did not see any hint of fear or despise. Only faces of excitement and welcome. She sighed in relief and began to start speaking : "You can all rise." They all stood straight, with bright smiles, waiting for what Her Majesty has to say. "It is my great pleasure to meet every single one of you. I admit I was a bit nervous for we are not known to show ourselves outside our kingdom. I am equally pleased and stunned by all your excited welcomes, despite my predator race. I am sure all of you are great students, ready for a semester full of friendship and happiness. I may not stay here forever but I sure will visit often. Because we all know that Friendship is the ship that never sinks. I'm sure we will all have a great-"
Before she could finish her sentence, an explosion was heard outside. Everyone's attention was immediately drawn to the unknown origin of the explosion.

Twilight and her friends were the first ones to get out. Skyla was too stunned and sensitive about the sound so she stayed behind. Outside, an emblem was carved in the place where the explosion was supposed to happen. On it, there was a magical parchment. Skyla finally managed to get out and paled when she saw the emblem. She almost fell back. Starlight took the parchment and read what was inside. She frowned.
"It's in another language. I can't seem to know which one."
Twilight took it from her and read it herself. She was also confused.
"You're right. It looks like an ancient language. I can't seem to identify."
Skylenza faced away, already knowing who sent the parchment.
"It's Lynxian. Eros sent it..."
Her friends were all suddenly worried, except for Spike, who was confused. Twilight put her hoof on her lynx friend's shoulder.
"Well maybe can you translate it for us?"
Skyla trembled when she took the parchment, not wanting to know what horrible message Eros sent to her. She opened it and started to translate it slowly.
"...Don't think you can escape me, Skylenza... I know where you are and I will get you back... And you will give me what I always wanted since we were little. So if you want to save your dear brother and protect your friends, you better come back by tomorrow.
Eros"
She teared up when she finished reading it and ran away. The others were worried for her and confused. One of them flew away to comfort her friend.
