MLP Crossover Convention: Episode 1, Season 1: The New Home
"Our king is dead." A one eyed being with a stick like body known as a demon unit said to a crowd of demons. "That is why we are here today to crown a new king." He held up a crown and walked towards a demon on a pedestal. "This demon will lead us to victory!" He crowned him. "All hail the new king!" The crowd roared.
"Thank you! But now let us focus on the problem. Our first king failed because he took on a kingdom that he couldn't win against. But that's not going to happen again! We will destroy weaker kingdoms and increase in power! Then we will rise up to the pure army, and send them to hell!" The crowd roared again. "Get your weapons! We have kingdoms to destroy!"
Not very far from the demon castle was a small town of bipedal creatures known as rabbids. They had very similar bone structures to the mythical humans, except that they their legs ended in a hoof like form and they had the face of a regular rabbit. Much like the ponies hoof from a town father away. Beyond the dark, tainted forest known as the Everfree Forest. Many say that it never ended, the dark, gloomy trees would go on for miles. In truth, almost every tree looked the same so beings would end up going in circles. On the border of the forest was two young rabbids, one was named Ravings, A seven year old male rabbid, he was playing with his best friend Rachel.
Rachel was also seven years old, she was a female rabbid. The only difference between them, besides gender was their eye color, Ravings was a shade of blue, while Rachels were a teal color. it seemed like an ordinary, beautiful day, but none of them knew of the destruction that was about to fall upon them. A couple of yards away from the town, on a hill, the demon army had come, they were all being led by their new king.
"Look at them, they think that it's another normal day. They are not suspecting the slight chance of a disaster to hit them." The king raised his finger at the unsuspecting town and yelled in a language that only demons could under stand, to other beings, it would only sound like pointless roars. Soon, the entire army was charging for the town, all except deformed, type; snipers and some deformed, type; bazookas, They stayed on the hill with the king and started to aim at the town. The deformed were bipedal creatures as well, but as their named states, they were deformed beings.
The sniper shot a spike projectile at the town, it then penetrated the skill of an unlucky rabbid who was walking home after buying some groceries. Luckily, a guard saw this happen as he was passing by, doing his monthly inspection of the town to check for criminals. He got out a quill and paper and started to right a note, once he was done, he took out his bow and loaded it with an arrow that had the note attached to it. He shot the arrow at the castle, hoping it will not hit anybody. He then put his bow away and got his sword out while giving commands to the civilians for their safety.
Meanwhile at the castle, two guards stood at the entrance, doing their job in making sure no one got through without a valid reason. The left guard saw an projectile come in the distance. He soon was able to make detail out of the projectile, it was an arrow. An arrow headed for his face, without thinking, he side stepped to his right just as the arrow was less than five inches away from his face. The arrow nudged itself in the stone wall that made up the castle, the guard grumbled to himself, saying something about jealous lesser guards. He then looked at the arrow again and saw that a note was attached to it, he grabbed the arrow and took off the not, he than began to read what the note said. When he was done, his eyes widened, taking the note with him, he ran into the castle, leaving the other guard alone and confused.
"O...kay." Looking away from the entrance and back in front of him, he thought aloud. "Are we rabbids getting weirder as the years go by?" He sighed as he resumed his job. Meanwhile, the guard holding the note was running through the castle, he personally hated the castle. He did not hate it because he was jealous, he hated it because it is such a big castle, it was time consuming just to get from the front to the back, and that was were the king was located. He was now running down a large hallway, pushing other guards out of his way, doing so, he got the occasionial 'Hey!' or 'Watch it!'. But this did not matter to him at the moment, what mattered to him right now was getting the note to the king. After he was through numerous hallways and pushed through many other guards, he finally reached the door to the throne room. He ran into the room, bursting the doors open like a mad-man, gathering the attention of the king.
"Guard! What is the meaning of this?" The king asked.
"I'm sorry, your majesty, but we are being attacked." He said while showing him the note. The king looked at it carfully.
"You are sure this is not a joke? We have not been attacked for years."
"Your honor, everyone knows it is illegal to send somrthing like this. Even so, there is allways the cahance the we can be att-" Before he could finish his sentence, there was an audible explosion that could be heard. Letting the king know that this was no prank. He looked down at the two guards that were standing next to his throne and said to them.
"Go and gather all the guards and knights in the castle." With that said, the two nodded and headed off. "You too." He said the the guard that brought the message, he then nodded as well and went with the other two guards. After the doors closed, the king got up and headed for his own room. He opened a hidden door, behind that door was the king personal armor and sword, much stronger that the average knight armor. The armor was passed down through generations of kings, the name of the material that was used to make this armor was forgotten long ago. He took the armor out from the secrete room and begun to put it on. Once the armor wasd on, he took the sword, still as sharp as ever. Sharp enough to cleanly cut through the flesh and bone. He smirked while holding it, he was confident he would win this battle, a little to confident.
Meanwhile, the demon army was now closing in on the town, ready to get the first blood. But the one that got first blood was the guard that was patroling town, he had shot his arrow directly into the eye of a smasher. It screamed in pain as the arrow head pierced his eye and fell over dead, blood coming out of its wound. The guard reloded his bow and aimed at the army again. He shot again, his time, hitting a chow-chow in the mouth, it slowed down as it was slowly dying of blood loss.
'I really hope that the king got the note. I'm not going to be able to hold these thing off for long.' His thoughts were interupted when an explosion sent him flying. His bow went flying in a different direction, a direction that was now in the demon armies possession. He looked at his bow, but made no attempt to retrieve it, he took out his sword and stood in a fighting position. The first demon that made it to him was a dragon rider, an advanced demon unit wielding a sword while riding a small dragon. It charged at him with the sword aimed at his head, but the guard swiftly dodged it by jumping out of the way, he then proceded to attack. Lashing his sword at the dragon, its eyes widend in pain as it was pushed back. The dragon rider was about to attack but was unable to due to a arrow hitting its head. The guard looked behind the rider and saw that the army of the king was heading for the demon army.
"CHARGE!" The army yelled while rushing at the demons. Meanwhile back at where Ravings and Rachel were, they were watching as the battle took place.
"What do you think they are doing?" Rachel asked.
"Maybe...I don't know, I have never seen anything like this before. They might be doing some kind of new cellabration." Before they could say any more, they heard somethink coming from thier side, they turned and saw a drafon coming for them. The dragon was also part of the demon army, but not as big as the average dragon . "What in the name of the king?!"
"It's a dragon! But I thought dragon did'nt excist."
"Well this one is alive, and it does not look happy!" Ravings said. The dragon opened its mouth and shot a fireball at them, it was going to hit Ravings, but Rachel pushed him out of the way and took it herself. "Rachel!"
"I'm fine," She said, but it was obvious she was not. "just go! I'll buy you some time!"
"I can't leave you with this thing!"
"Just go and save yourself!" Rachel said while picking up a rock and throwing it at the dragon, with perfect aim, it hit the dragon in the eye. Causing to grunt in pain as it gave chase to Rachel. Ravings could now only watch as his best friend was risking her own life for his. He got up and started to sprint for the forest. He would have made it, but the demon king saw him, he snapped his fingures at a nearby deformed unit "bazzooka", gaining its attention. He pointed at the fleeing rabbid, telling him to shoot it. The deformed took aim at him and shot at Ravings, it sailed through the air, destined to hit its target. Though it did not hit him directly, it was still close enough for Ravings to be caught in the blast radius. It sent him flying towards the forest, the last thing Ravings saw, was his home town set ablaze before he passed out.
Ravings awoke some time later after feeling drops of water, he looked up and saw it was about to rain. He looked back at his town and saw the worst thing he has ever seen. His home was burned to the ground. He saw no movement of any rabbids or any other creature. Ravings was starting to tear up, everything he has ever known, was now gone. His home, his friends, and even his family. It was bad enough when his farther was killed by some uknown creature. But this was to much for him. He got up and started to head for the forest again, he was limping now due to the explosion from earlier. He did not look back at his town, he did not want to see it in this state. He slowly procceded into the forest, but what he did not know was that this was his destiny.
The forest was as dark as the rabbids discribed it, not only that, but Ravings seemed to become more depressed than he already was. It was as if this forest was surrounded by deppresion, but that did not stop him from ventureing forth deeper into the woods.
'These woods are very dark, I can barely see.' Ravings thought, he continued walking but he that ran into something, causing him to stop. He held his head as it pounded, he released his had and tried to make out what he ran into. But with this blinding darkness, he couldn't see it, he put his paws on it and tried to make out the material. He ran his paws against it, it felt smooth like stone, while he was still feeling it, his paw pushed part of the wall in. He recoiled in shock, he was scared he had he set off some kind of trap. But instead, the wall seemed to be splitting apart, as if they were some kind of door. It was reviling some light from the other side, it was dim, but it was still something. carefully made his way to the opening. He then saw the inside, it appeared to be some kind of ruins.
Nature has taken its toll on the ruins as there was vines hanging from the top of worn out statues and roots of trees forcing themselves through the wall surrounding the ruins. The three statues seemed to be a sword, a staff and a shield. In the middle was a building of some sort. The top of it was only supported by columns, there was a pedestal in the center as it was surrounded by stairs. Ravings slowly made his way towards the middle, curious of this place. He got to the ruin and started to go up the stairs, to see if he could see beyond the forest. When he got to the top, he could see a town in the distance. This ressured him, maybe he would not die alone in this forest. When he was about to leave the top, the ground started to shake beneath him, he saw that the sky was being filled by the colors of the rainbow in a spectacular fashion. He could not keep his balance and fell off the stairs onto the pedestal. Luckuly it was not a big drop and he was only hurt a little bit. After that incident, something strange started to happen, Ravings began to float. The pedestal was glowing white, Ravings did not know what was going on.
Soon his entire body was being consumed by the light, he assumed the worst and closed his eyes, awaiting for whatever was going to happen to him. The light that had consumed him was now vanishing from his body as he was gently being set on the floor. Ravings slowly got up from the expirence, his entire body felt like it was full of energy. Like he just woke up from a well deserved nap. Not only that, but he was not depressed anymore, but there was something different. He could not tell what was different at first until he looked behind himself. What he saw shocked him, Ravings now had a pair of wings on his back. He did not believe it, he was wondering if this was still reality.
He tried moving them but couldn't, he just could not find the right muscles that made them move. He stopped worrying about it and remembered what his objective was, he needed to get to that town he saw. He left the ruins and ran in the direction he saw it. Ravings still felt strange though, there was something in him that was wanting to come out.
"Glorious work demons!" The demon king yelled. "It's only been one day and we have destroyed three kingdoms!" He laughed. "We will continue the next day, for I have a kingdom in mind that I want to destroy."
Ravings was still making his way through the forest. He had no idea how big this forest actually was. It felt as though he would never make it to the town. Just then, Ravings heard growling, as the air was filled with a horrible stench.
'Uhg, what is that smell? It's worst than a skunk!' He then heard the rustling of a nearby bush, he turned towards the sorce of the sound. As he saw what it was, his eyes widened, it was a wolf like creature that was made out of wood. These creatures were known as timber wolves. Soon, two more came from behind the first one, before Ravings could do anything, he was tackled to the ground. He was now pinned under the wolf, Ravings closed his eyes and blindly punched the wolf. What happened next was unexpected, when the punch made contact, it sent the wolf flying into a nearby tree. Where it exploded into pieces of wood on empact. Ravings was shocked at the sight, was he given super strangth?
'Power.' Ravings heard a strange voice say. 'Defender.' Ravings looked around, but it was only him and the wolves. 'Magic.' At this point, the other wolves were running at him, Ravings put his paws infront of himself as if to try and stop them. But instead, a white orb shot out of his paws and hit the wolves, destroying them as well. Ravings could not believe what had just happened, he really did have powers. But what he did not understand was what the voice ment by "Defender". Was he suppose to defend something? He pushed it out of his mind and headed for the town again. But at the same time, he kind of wanted to stay to see if he could learn more about these powers.
Ravings has been traveling for quite some time now, but he finally made it to the town, but he was surprised to see the kind of creatures that lived here. They were ponies, multicolored ponies, some had horns, some had wing and some had neither. He was considering to make himself known to the town, but it was not his choice. As he was hiding in a bush, his stomach made a growl. He realized how hungry he was, he scanned the town to see if there was some place to eat.
His eyes finally locked on to a target, there was, what appeared, to be some kind of giant gingerbread house. His stomach made another growl, as if it was telling him this was the place to eat. He slowly made his way out of the bush, which was harder than he expected, since he had to build the confidence to do so. He started to make his way to the house, on his way there, he was reaciving looks from the ponies. It made him feel awkward, he felt as though he was an outcast. Some of the ponies brought their kids closer to them, as if Ravings was someone who wanted to hurt them.
He had finally made it to the house, he looked at it with hunger. Once he took one step, there was a pink blur that shot out of the door, ramming into Ravings. Luckily, it did not hurt him much, he guessed because of the powers, but he could not say the same for... whatever hit him. He got up and looked at the pink mass, lying on the ground before him, was yet another pony. The pony was pink in color, had a cotten candy like pink mane, and had, what appeared to be, balloons on its flank. Its eyes opened almost immediately, looking up at Ravings, it then jumped up.
"Oh my gosh! Some pony new!" it was now quite obvious that it was female, by her voice.
"Ex-excuse me?" Ravings asked, taken back by the energy this young pony possessed.
"Your new here! That means a new friend I can make! I know you are new here because I know everyone here! And I never saw you before! So, what's your name by the way?" Her mouth was going a hundred miles per hour. It was hard for Ravings to not just stand there with his mouth agape.
"Ravings." He said.
"Oooh, do you know what we should do, we should throw a party for you!"
"A party?"
"Yes silly! A party will help you make more friends! I can give you invitation to give to my good friends! I'm giving them to you since some live in cloudsdale, and I can't fly up there because I don't have wings! But you do! So it should be easy to get up there!"
"I don't know how to use my wings though, I only got them today." Ravings said, he sort of wanted to get out of this.
"You might be able to learn soon though! Ok, here is four invitations, one is for Rainbow Dash, a blue pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail. One for Fluttershy, a yellow Pegasus with a pink mane and tail, another is for Applejack, orange pony with a yellow mane and tail. And One for Rarity, a white unicorn with a purple mane and tail." She gave him four blue invitations.
"O...k. By the way what is our name?"
"Pinkie Pie!"
"Ok, well, do you have something to eat?"
"Yes, I'll be right back!" Pinkie dashed into the house and came back out with a cupcake, handing it to Ravings.
"Thank you, Pinkie Pie." Ravings said as he headed to the gaint cloud, which he assumed was cloudsdale.
Ravings looked up at cloudsdale, marveling at how big it was. He looked back at his wings, unsure of how to use them. He did not want to disappoint Pinkie pie so he needed to learn how to use these wings. He closed his eyes to try and find the right muscles to control his wings. He moved every muscle in his body, trying to locate the wing muscle. He was about to give up, but just then, he felt them move. It was not much, but they did move, Ravings found the muscles to move his wings. He used the same muscles again, and got the same result. He was thrilled to know that he learned how to controle his wings, but that soon faded when he realized something else.
'How am I going to fly?' He question to himself. He looked back at them and had an idea. Raings started to make a flapping motion with them. At first nothing happened, but soon, Ravings found himself slowly being lifted off the ground. He was thrilled yet again, he looked up at Cloudsdale as he put more energy into his wing. Causing them to move faster, he was now flying to Cloudsdale, but was becoming increasingly tired. He soon made it up to Cloudsdale, once he landed, he tried to catch his breath. He was surprised that he was standing on clouds, but his attention was diverted when he heard voices. He looked up and saw three pegasi bullying another pegasus, yellow with pink mane and tail. This was Fluttershy as Pinkie pie had described her. Ravings hated bullying, he could not stand it at his school. He nearly tore off the ear of the bully at his school when he she was bullying one of his friends.
"Hey!" Ravings called out, gaining the attention of the four,
"Who are you?" The brown one called out.
"That does not matter now, what matters is that your three are bullying her!" He said angrily.
"So? She's pathetic!" The gray one said.
"So, I'm giving you five seconds to leave!"
"And if we don't?" The dark brown one said. With that said, Ravings concentrated power into his paw, causing a small white orb to appear. He then glared daggers at them, as if he was ready to bash in their skulls.
"You will be in for a world of hurt!" He said, the tree seemed to loose all confidents as the orb appeared. They all struggled to get away from him, practically climbing over each other. As soon as they were far enough, they took to the skies. Ravings relaxed a bit, casing the energy ball to disperse harmlessly. He than walked over to Fluttershy. "Are you alright?"
"Y-yes." She said barely audible, Ravings could see why her name was Fluttershy.
"Are you Fluttershy?"
"Yes." She said, Ravings give her the invitation.
"Pinkie pie told me to give this to you. It's for a party." He said.
"Oh, ok, thanks." She said, seeming to become less shy. Just then, a shadow flew overhead, causing them both to look up. Ravings could not tell much detail for it was only a blue blur, it then it came down and landed next to Fluttershy. Rainbow mane and tail, blue coat, this had to be Rainbow Dash.
"Hey Fluttershy, who is this?" She asked.
"Uh, I don't know." She said, obviously not she around her.
"Ravings." He said. "Are you Rainbow Dash?"
"The one and only! Fastest flyer in Equestria!" She said.
'Sure does have an ego.' He thought. "Well here." He said handing her the invitation.
"What this?"
"An invitation for Pinkies party."
"You have already met her?"
"Yeah."
"Oh, ok, I'll be there." She said with a smile.
"Ok, I'll see you two there." Ravings said as he dove off the cloud, expanding his wings to allow him to glide. Though even this was tiring, it was much easier than flapping them. He then headed off to what appeared to be a farm, there may be where Applejack is.
Ravings finally landed near the farm. He could now see that there was apple trees with two ponies working on the farm, one orange with yellow mane and tail. The other red with orange mane and tail, Ravings knew that the orange one was Applejack, but he had no idea who the red one was. He slowly made his way to them, soon, Applejack took notice of him and stopped what she was doing.
"Uh, hello." Ravings said.
"Hi." She said back. "Is there anything we can do for ya'."
"Nothing, just needed to give you this." He said, handing her the invitation.
"Pinkie gave you this?" She asked, Ravings just nodded. "Well, I'll be there when I'm done on the farm."
"Ok, hope to see you there." He said as he headed off the farm.
Ravings stopped by Pinkies earlier to see where Rarity would be. She had told him that she lives at Carousel Boutique, apparently a designer. He had made it to the building Pinkie pointed to, as he knocked on the door, he heard a voice.
"Coming!" It said, obviously female. A few seconds later, the door opened revealing a white filly with a purple mane and tail. "Can I help you?" She asked.
"Are you Rarity?" Ravings asked.
"Yes."
"Ok, here." He said handing her the invitation.
"What's this?"
"An invitation to Pinkies party."
"Oh, well I will be there. Are you going to be there?"
"Yes."
"Oooh, maybe I can make you a suit!" She said as she bolted into back into the boutique. Ravings just shook his haed as he made his way back to Pinkie's.
"Keep your eyes closed!" Pinkie said.
"They are." Ravings said.
"Ok, you can open them now!" She said happily. Ravings opened his eyes and was amazed at the sight. There were streamers, balloons, a banner that read 'Welcome to Ponyville Ravings!'
"You did all of this in less than an hour? By yourself?" He asked, stunned.
"Yup!" She said happily. "My friends should be coming soon."
"Cool." Ravings said. Just then, there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" Pinkie said as she zipped off to the door. When she opened it, it revealed Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy on the other side. "Hi Rainbow! Hi Fluttershy!" She greeted them cheerfully.
"Hey Pinkie." Rainbow said.
"Hi Pinkie." Fluttershy said.
"I'm so happy that you two could make it!" Pinkie said, grabbing them both in a huge hug. Which seemed impossible but pinkie managed to pull it off. This may have been odd for other ponies, but this was completely normal by Pinkie's standards. She soon let them go. "Raings is already upstairs waiting for the party to start. You two should join him!"
"We are Pinkie." Rainbow said. Her and Fluttershy then made their way upstairs. They found Ravings sitting on the bed in the corner of the room, waiting for the party guest to arrive. When he caught site of them, he got off the bed and made his way towards them.
"Hey Rainbow Dash, hi Fluttershy." Ravings greeted them.
"Hey Ravings." Rainbow said, in a more excited tone.
"Hi Ravings." Fluttershy said, still shy around him.
"So, should get this party started?" Ravings asked and they both nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, Pinkie was still downstairs waiting for more guests to arrive. There was then another knock at the door and Pinkie hurriedly opened it, on the other side was a orange filly.
"Hi Applejack!"
"Howdy Pinkie." Applejack said as she came in side. "Ah'm guessing that the party is upstairs?"
"Yessiry!" Pinkie said, still with her enthusiasm. With that said, Applejack made her way upstairs. Pinkie Pie looked back at the door and saw Rarity coming with a red suit. "Hi Rarity, I'm guessing that is for Ravings?"
"Yes darling, when I read your invitation for the party to welcome him to town, I just had to make this for him as a welcoming present." Rarity said. After she and Pinkie greeted each other, they made their way upstairs to join the party.
The party was fantastic, it was also a great way for Ravings to get to know his new found friends. After a devastating attack on his him, he gained powers and has made new friends. Said friends were preparing for a slumber party, after getting permission from their parents. Ravings however was a little skeptical on the idea, soon agreeing to it, they were his friends after all.
After some games and fun, they finally went to sleep, all except for Ravings. He was lying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep, knowing that the army that had attacked his town could attack this place at any given moment. He slowly got up, as to not make any loud noises to wake his friends. He then slowly made his way out of the building into the field. As soon as he thought he was far enough, he sat down in the field, looking up at the moon.
'What if they do come, what is going to happen?' Ravings thought to himself. He heard hoof steps from behind hi, he turned and saw a half awake Rainbow Dash.
"Ravings, what are you doing out here?" She asked, in between yawns.
"Huh, oh, just... thinking." He replied.
"About what?"
"...Have I told you about the... army that attacked my town?"
"No."
"Well... an army attacked and... I... lost everything." Ravings started to tear up, he closed his eyes as he continued. "My home, my family, my friends. That's why I'm here." He felt soothing wrap around him, he opened his eyes and saw Rainbow Dash hugging him. He was surprised at first, but soon returned the hug. "Thanks Rainbow." Ravings said. Soon, they returned back to Sugar Cube Corner and went to sleep.
Ravings awoke to the smell of something burning. When he opened his eyes, he was shocked. Ravings was no longer in Sugar Cube Corner, he was outside, but everything was burning around him. His friends were no where in sight, neither were any of the ponies that roamed the streets.
"Just like your home town, huh rabbid?" A dark voice asked, Ravings turned to the source of the voice. What he saw was a black silhouette of a slender, bipedal creature with a crown and a cape. "So, how do you feel, Ravings?" It asked, Ravings tried to respond, but no words came out of his mouth. This only cause the figure to chuckle. "Hehe, well, I should have known better than to ask a seven year old." It said. Ravings felt something building up inside of himself, he felt angry at this dark figure. He started to concentrate power into his paw until a white orb appeared, he then launched it towards the figure. It hit it directly, but there was no physical evidence of any damage done to it. At first, it tried to stifle it's laughter, but soon it just let it out.
"Oh, did you truly think that that would work on me?" It taunted, it soon started to stalk its way to Ravings. Ravings was now encased in fear, he wanted to back away, but he was frozen in fear. Slowly, but surely, it made its way towards him, soon looming over the young rabbid. Though he could not see it, Ravings knew that there was a wicked grin plastered on its face. "I let you escape once, but this time, I will deal with you myself." It said coldly, it raised up its arm with its claw at the ready. As soon as it was at its peak, it came down at an incredible speed, right towards Ravings face.
Ravings awoke with a jolt, his eyes shooting wide open. He had sweat covering his entire body and tears in his eyes, he quickly looked around and saw his friends sleeping peacefully. He was relieved to see that they were alright, he looked out of the window and saw that the sun was starting to come up.
'Early, I guess that is good.' He thought. He looked back at his friends, 'I'm just glad that it was only a nightmare, that would e to much for me to handle.'
Meanwhile at the demon castle, most of the demons slept in, by their standards. Though it had only two weeks since the fall oft their first king, they were not use to the fact of being back in war. The king meanwhile was getting ready to attack his next target, Equestria. One of the more powerful nations, but he was confident that they would be able to destroy it. He started by going to the areas where the demons would sleep for the night. When he checked one area, he found all of the demons in there still passed out. He faced palmed at this, now knowing why his previous king called them a bunch of idiots.
"Got up morons!" He yelled, grabbing a unit by the neck and chucking it at a smasher. "We are about to fight a powerful empire! Almost as strong as the pure army, and I find you here, snoring your damn eyes out!"
"We are still not use to this, my king." One unit said, rubbing sleep out of his eye.
"Well get use to it!" He said while he started to leave the area. He stopped to say one more thing. "By the way we are attacking Equestria be prepared." He said, leaving the room, leaving behind a bunch of shocked demons.
"E-Equestria?"One unit asked, trembling a bit.
"The nation under the rule of a pony princess that has the power to move the sun and moon?" Another unit asked, rubbing his head.
"Also the one that defeated a being having dark powers at his possession, a soul of a chaos and a living nightmare?" The smasher asked. Smashers are big, beefy units that wear protective armor. Their weapon of choice is a chain and ball, or flail.
"He-He can't be serious, the princess alone can take us all out, with minimal effort." Another unit stated.
"Don't worry we'll just cut her!" The cutter said, drawing out his blades with a psychotic look in his eye. Cutters were psychotic killers, their weapon of choice is two small blades. They are much like the basic unit, but they had a bigger torso and had teeth at the bottom of their head.
"Though I slightly agree with the... psychotic killer. We will need a much better plan than just to charge at her like a bunch of idiots with weapons." A dark angel ninja said, grabbing his own blades. Dark angels are flying units, their are four different types of dark angels. The basic dark angels, warriors, mages, and ninjas. The ninja has two duel sided blades and is very fast. Making them a deadly unit.
"If anything, the king can just send in a bunch of dark dragon riders. Being that they are the strongest units this army has, their powers only being matched by an angel from the pure army. Even the heroes had a hard time killing them, their strongest hero, Gear-X, could barely kill them and get out alive." A dark angel warrior said. The dark angel warriors wear dragon skulls. They have duel sided blades as well but they are not as fast as the ninjas and are stronger.
"We can't forget about the giganaut, that thing alone was almost able to take down the pure castle. It also overpowered the army by itself." A unit said, the other demons nodded in agreement. A moment of silence passed before another unit spoke.
"We better head down, its better if we do not piss off the king."
Back at ponyville, the ponies had woken up some time ago and had already packed their things. They all started to head home, except Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, so Ravings decided to stay with them. They walked around a bit, talking to each other, but soon Fluttershy had to leave and went off into another direction. Leaving Ravings and Rainbow Dash, and Rainbow took this opportunity to talk about the army events.
"So... how did you survive the attack Ravings?" She asked.
"I don't know actually, they was an explosion that sent me flying, and I guess I passed out." He responded. Rainbow looked at him and saw a hint of fear in his face.
"You're scared, aren't you?"
"I... I am, what if they attack here? What will happen then, what will happen to you guys?" He said, fear becoming evident in his voice. Rainbow only gave him a reassuring smile.
"I'm sure everything will be fine."
"I hope so." There was a moment of silence before Ravings spoke up. "So, what do those marks mean?" He asked, gesturing to the rainbow colored lightning on Rainbow's flank.
"Oh, that, that is just a Cutie Mark."
"Cutie... Mark?"
"Yeah, Don't rabbids get those?"
"No."
"Oh, well Cutie Marks show a ponies special talent. I got mine for creating a sonic rainboom!"
"Cool." 'Was that what I saw in the sky?' Ravings, unknowingly, made a sphere of energy in his palm and Rainbow caught sight of this.
"Whoa! What's that?"
"Huh?" Ravings followed her eyes to where she was looking. "Oh, that is just my powers. I guess I don't have full control of it yet." He shot it towards the air and it exploded into a spectacular fashion of white particles in a disc shape. Rainbow just stared at it, her mouth agape.
"Whoa..." Was all that came out her mouth, as she still looked at the area where the orb exploded in awe. Ravings just rolled his eyes, he should have expected this from her. Rainbow Dash was more of a tomboy, and the way she acts proves it. But under that shell is a caring pony that will comfort her friends when they need comforting. Out of the coroner of his eye, Ravings saw a dark figure approaching from the forest. He tried to ignore it, but then there was more coming. He turned towards them, and his eyes widened. There was the same army that attacked his town.
"No... no, no, no, no!"
"Ah Equestria, your peaceful ways, will soon come to an end." The demon king said.
"Uh, king? Do you truly think this is a good idea?" A unit asked.
"Of course, wouldn't do if I was not sure."
"That's what our old king said when we faced the pure army." A dark angel muttered. The king then pointed towards Equestria and again yelled in a language that only demons could understand. They all charged towards ponyville, weapons drawn and ready."
Ravings looked in horror as the army came rushing towards them.
"Ravings," Rainbow asked. "what's happening?"
"Hurry, get everyone to a safe building!" Ravings said.
"Town hall?"
"Yes, hurry!
"But what are you going to do?" Ravings stopped to think about this, what was he going to do? He looked at his paws, remembering his powers, and clenched it into a fist.
"I'm going to make them pay for what they have done." He said as he ran off.
"Wait! Where are you going?"
"I'm going to buy you time!" Ravings said as he dashed off. The army had spread apart, trying to surround the town. He ran towards a small group of demons, headed for the town hall.
"Is that a rabbid? Oh well, easy kill." A unit sad as it pointed its spear towards Ravings. It lunged, but Ravings moved out of the way and jabbed it in the side of the head. Sending it flying, it flew into a dark angel ninja, being severely damaged by the impact. The dark angel was nocked down by the impact but other than that was perfectly fine.MIt looked at Ravings and charged at him. Ravings was taken off guard by this and was cut by its blade.
It sliced him in his chest and sent him stumbling back. Once he was back on his feet, he glared at the dark angel and formed the white spheres in his paws. This startled the dark angel, it tried to attack him, but it was blown away by Ravings' attack. A bear had snuck up behind him and clawed his back. Ravings yelled in pain as he turned around and started to punch the bear, soon killing it. Ravings then heard a scream from the distance.
"Fluttershy?" Ravings asked as he flew off into the direction of the scream. It felt much more easier to fly because of the adrenalin fueling him. He flew over head, searching the ground below, he soon spotted Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy was cowering behind Rainbow, who was standing between her and a smasher. Rainbow was shaking with fear, but was not leaving her friends side. The smasher raised its flail and started to spin it, readying to strike. Ravings swooped down and aimed for the smasher. "You leave them alone!" He yelled as he punched the smasher in the back, it let out a scream of pain as it went flying. Ravings landed hard, hurting himself, but it was worth it for protecting his friends. He looked at them, Fluttershy was in tears and Rainbow was awe struck.
"That. Was. AWESOME!" Rainbow yelled. "You just came in and, WAM! Right to the back of that thing!"
"Yeah, yeah, Rainbow remember what you are suppose to be doing right now!" Ravings said.
"Oh right." She went over to Fluttershy and after a while, they went to town hall. While Ravings watched them off, the smasher had snuck up behind him and delivered the blow of its flail right into his stomach. Ravings was sent tumbling back as the wind was knocked out of him. He slowly stood up, trying to catch his breath, but the smasher was already over him. This time, it hit him in the side, sending him rolling. It was about to strike again, but something hit the smasher in the head. It blinked a few times before resuming its attempt to attack. But again, something hit his head, it looked around, partially annoyed. That is when it noticed a small orange filly, throwing apples at it.
"You mess with him, you mess with me!" Applejack yelled as she threw another apple. The smasher turned its attention to her as it was about to run towards her, but Ravings quickly grabbed ahold on one of its legs. With the sudden weight on its leg, it lost its balance and fell forward.
"Thanks Applejack, I've got it from here." Ravings said.
"Are ya sure, ah can always help you." She asked.
"I'm sure, I'm doing this to protect you guys. Now hurry and get to town hall." Applejack was a little hesitant but nodded and headed towards the center of town. The smasher was trying to get up, but Ravings sent a white sphere directly towards its head. It let out a scream of pain before it died. The demons has caught on that the towns residents were fleeing to the town hall. Ravings saw this and headed for the attacking army, he picked up a unit and tossed it towards a cutter. They tried to get up, but they both received a punch from Ravings. The other demons over heard the commotion and directed towards the rabbid.
"You want to get to them, you are going have to get through me!" Ravings yelled. The demons took this as a joke and thought the demons he killed were idiots. They decided to leave no survivors and go after him, but this was the biggest mistake they have made. One demon had shot an arrow at him but he easily dodged it. He took the demons bow and slammed it over its head. He then finished it off by punching it in the eye, a dark angel mage and reaper went after him next. The mage launched a magic wave that hit Ravings.
Once Ravings was on the ground, the reaper then went after him, ready to bring down his scythe on him. But Ravings tripped it, grabbed its scythe and decapitated both of them, he then threw it away and by throwing it away, he threw it at spider demon. This time a large group if demons attacked, dark angels, warriors, dragon riders, units, bears, and rhinos. The dragon rider was the first to attack, trying to stab him with its sword. Ravings flew over the attack, he then came down and landed a kick on the dragon itself. This dazed the dragon, rendering it useless for the time being. Meanwhile, Ravings friends were watching from the windows of town hall.
"Would ya'll just look at him." Applejack said, awe struck.
"He is so awesome!" Rainbow said, practically fangirling over Ravings.
"Though I disapprove of this violence, he's only doing it to protect us. Risking his own life for ours." Rarity said.
"Oh, I just hope he is alright." Fluttershy said, unable to look at the scene.
"OOOH! I just had this brilliant idea! We should throw him a 'Thank you for saving us' party!" Pinkie exclaimed, her smile as wide as ever. Meanwhile, back at the forest entrance, the demon king was watching as his army was pummeled by Ravings. His anger growing with each death. He already had to send in his long ranged units in, and even then they were still lossing, he now had no choice. He headed back into the forest towards his castle to retrieve his last stand.
A while later, back at Ravings, he was destroying the demons that tried to attack him and ponyville. He was now facing off with three dark dragon riders. One charged forward, attempting to stab him with its sword, Ravings jumped to the side and attempted to counter attack. But he was knocked away by the other dark dragon rider, who then attacked him by cutting his front with its sword. The third one used its tail to whip Ravings in the side. Ravings got back up and formed two white spheres and launched them at one dark dragon rider. But it barely flinched at the attack, the dragon itself roared in annoyance at the young rabbids attack. The rider charged forward and attempted to attack, but this time, Ravings jumped up and grabbed the rider. He then proceeded to beat the riders face with his fists. Once he was sure it was dead, he took its sword and stabbed the dragon in the back, killing it.
Ravings then threw the sword at the other dark dragon rider, it roared in pain as it hit its helmet. The third rider swung for Ravings but missed and instead, got its sword stuck in the ground. While it was struggling to get free, Ravings grabbed its tail and started to smash it into the ground. He then roundhouse kicked the dragon in the jaw, it cried out in pain as its jaw broke. The dragon rider were about to flee, but Ravings threw the sword at it and it penetrated both the dragon and rider, killing them both.
There was only one dark dragon rider left, it charged towards Ravings, the dragons mouth open, ready to try and bite him. He dodged, but was unable to dodge the sword, which cut him across the chest. He reclaimed his footing and threw more white spheres at its back. It grunted in pain, as the back was the least protected, it turned around and started to swing its sword at Ravings again. Though he was able to dodge most of them, some had managed to cut him. Once the dragon was close enough, Ravings kneed it in the jaw, sending it backwards, it fell on its back on the rider. There was a sickening crunch afterwards, Ravings then jumped up and punched the dragon in the chest, braking its ribs, killing it.
Ravings stood there, by the corpse of the dark dragon rider, panting. It was over, he had won, he could not believe it. He had just defeated an entire army, by himself. He had just saved his new home, front the same army that destroyed his old home. Ravings then heard cheering, he looked up, and saw that almost the entire town was there, cheering for Ravings win.
"Ravings!" Pinkie called out. Ravings had no time to react as she wrapped her hooves around Ravings and hugged the air out of him.
"Pinkie... air." Ravings gasped out.
"Oops, sorry." She said as she let go if him.
"Ravings, that was awesome!" Rainbow said flying over.
"That was a nice job you did there." Applejack complimented.
"You just saved our home Ravings! That was spectacular!" Rarity said.
"You did it Ravings!" Fluttershy yelled and hugged him. The fact that she yelled that loud surprised everyone. Fluttershy realized that she yelled and blushed. "I'm sorry, was I too loud?" She asked. Ravings only smiled and hugged her again. They all gathered in for a group hug. But the moment was short lived when there all heard a roar. Ravings looked up and saw gray objects headed towards them.
"Run!" Ravings yelled, they all hurried away as the grey objects made contact with the ground, exploding. They all looked back and saw a huge creature making its way towards them. It had one eye, it had slimy looking skin. There were rings around its arms and horns out of head. On top of its head was the king of the demon army. It looked like they fused together because only the top half of the king was there.
"You may have stopped my army rabbid. But you will not stop me from claiming this world as my own!" The king yelled at him. He then pointed towards Ravings. "KILL HIM!" The giganaut roared in compliance. It brought down its fist to tried to hit Ravings and his friends. They acted quickly and moved out of the way as not to get squashed, they were knocked back by the magical explosion of the fist when it hit the ground. They got up and were about to attack, but Ravings stopped them.
"This is to dangerous for you girls! It after me, so let me do this alone." He said.
"No way Ravings, this is to dangerous to do alone! We are sticking by your side all the way!" Rainbow said.
"Ah'm with Dash in that one." Applejack said.
"You helped us, so let us help you." Rarity said.
"Woohoo! This is going to be fun!" Pinkie yelled, hoping up and down. Every pony gave her a look. "What?"
"I'll help to, if that is okay with you." Fluttershy said. Ravings wanted to protest, but he decided against it, instead, he gave them a smile.
"Thanks girls." He said. They then turn their attention towards the king giganaut. "You're going down." He whispered, they all ran towards it and split up. Applejack, Rainbow and Ravings going one way, Pinkie, Rarity and Fluttershy the other. The giganaut watched Pinkie's group, while the demon king watched Applejack's group. Ravings went up to try to attack the king, but the giganaut turned around and smacked him down.
"I act as a second eye for this thing. Attacks like that won't work!" The king said. The giganaut turned back around and was about to attack the other group, but noticed Pinkie was gone. It looked around, trying to spot the pink filly.
"Hi!" Pinkie said, somehow behind the king. This started him as he turned around and tried to claw the pony, only to find she was not there.
"What the hell?" He asked. Pinkie appeared in front of the giganaut. She was holding a blue cannon, when she pulled the trigger, confetti, streamers and balloons shot out of it. Some of the confetti got into the giganaut's eye and it roared out in pain. It put its claws over its eye with fruitless results of the pain going away. "Are you crying over a little confetti? Come on! You are the giganaut, most powerful creature in my army, and confetti gets to you?!"
While he was not watching, Rainbow had flown up to him, she turned around and bucked his head. The demon king yelled in pain and clutched the back of his head. "Do something you sack of flesh." The giganaut roared, and the gray abjects started to fall from the sky again, Ravings was able to get a better look at them this time. They were a bunch of eyes with small tenticles in the back, once they hit the ground, they exploded into purple liquid, the liquid then dissolved away after a while. The giganaut was still rubbing its eyes, trying to get the confetti out and the king still clenched his head. Rarity had gone back to her home and brought back some jewels, she was reluctant at first, but decided to get them.
She then used the little magic that she did have and throw them at the giganaut. It grunted in pain as it swung blindly, try to hit somthing. It was to focused on the pain that the confetti caused, it was blocking out the demon kings vision. "You idiot, don't you see what I'm seeing?" The king asked, the giganaut stated to speak in the demon's natural language. Only the king could understand it. "What do you mean 'To much pain.'? I just got bucked in the back of the head!" He said angrily.
Ravings formed more white spheres and threw them at the king and giganaut. The giganaut grunted in pain, while the king yelled in pain.
"We are chipping away at it, keep ot up!" Ravings said. The giganaut roared again and the eye projectiles were falling out of the sky again. The six were trying to dodge as many as they could, but there was to many of them and they were moving too fast. Even worse, the giganaut was no longer in pain from the confetti and was getting its vision back. It locked its sights on Ravings, his eyes widened as a claw was coming for him, he tried to run, but it was to fast. Ravings was now pinned to the ground, his friends tried to rush in to help, but the giganaut summoned more exploding eyes, surrounding it and Ravings.
"You have caused me enough trouble rabbid, this is where it ends. I'll finish you first, then I'll go after your friends. So long, Ravings." The king said, Ravings then felt himself being squashed by the giganaut, he yelled out in pain as he was slowly being crushed. His friends cried out to him, Fluttershy fell to the ground and covered her eyes, Rarity covered her eyes. Pinkie started to tear up and Applejack and Rainbow were trying to find an opening.
The giganaut was about to finish Ravings, but something unexpected happened. There was a burst of energy that emitted from Ravings, enough to stop the eye storm and send his friends back. The giganaut covered his eye due to the sudden light. When it was gone, it lifted its arm, only to find Ravings flying there, he was slightly glowing white. He opened his eyes, reveling that they were white as well. Before they could act, Ravings hot towards them and started to rapidly punch the giganaut. He then kicked it in the jaw, sending it back some.
The giganaut threw a fist at him, but Ravings had caught it, he then grabbed hold and lifted the giganaut up. He then slammed it into the ground. He then flew into the sky, the giganaut regained its footing and looked for Ravings. He than started to come down at an incredible speed, his fist at the ready, it then became engulfed in power, resembling a falling meteor.
"This is your end demon!" He yelled as his fist came into contact with the giganaut. It gave one final groan before exploding into giblets. Ravings landed on the ground and turned back to normal. He turned back to the area where the giganaut was once standing, all that was left was the upper torso of the king, somehow still alive. He walked over to him ready to end him, the king looked up at the young rabbid. Ravings raised his fist into the air and brought it down, only to hit nothing. He looked up and saw that the king was picked up by a demon falcon and was headed towards their castle. The king looked over his should and said one final thing.
"I'll be back hero, and you'll regret ever interfering with my plans!" He yelled as he was taken out of sight. Ravings turned back to his friends, only to be tackled by them. He found himself in a group hug, he gladly accepted this and returned the hug.
"That was amazing Ravings!" Rainbow said, hugging him.
"You are like... like a hero Ravings." Applejack said.
"Indeed he is." A majestic, soft voice said. They all looked at the source of the sound and found a tall, white, horned and winged pony wearing a crown. She had a majestic flowing mane and tail that was pink, green and blue. Every pony around them started to bow, soon, Ravings friends bowed, he saw that this was royalty and bowed as well, getting on a knee. "You may rise." She said, they all got up and looked at her. "Allow me to introduce my self, I am Princess Celestia, and you must be Ravings, the Defender of Worlds."
"Defender... of Worlds?" He asked, confused.
"Yes, those powers you aquired are the Defender of Worlds powers. They have been around ever since I was a little filly. They are only granted to those who are trustworthy, to thos who will not use them for evils bidding. To those who can harvest the powers it grants you, and it chose you. I knew the army was coming to ponyville, but I did nothing to stop it. I only did that so that you could relize your true potential. And that was to be the new Defender of Worlds. I thank you for defending my little ponies." She said with a smile. "Now, if you come with me, I can have my royal guards train you so that you can easily fly and have great agility. You will have to find what powers you possess on your own." She said as she turned around and headed towards a chariot.
"Wait!" Ravings called out. Princess Celestia turned her head towards Ravings. Who also turned his head back to his friends. "Will I be able to see them again?" He asked. Celestia smiled.
"Of course, once you get older and I have the construction crew make a home for you, you can live in the town with them." Ravings face brightned up at these words, he once again found himself in a group hug with his friends. He closed his eyes and hugged them back.
'This is it.' He thought. 'This is where I will live, this is my new home, with great friends, and I will defend both them and my new home with my life. Ravings the rabbid: Defender of Worlds.'
