“...yes.” Spoiled said. “And it was the last secret we ever had together. I owe him my sister’s life. And through it… my own. My new life, as Spoiled Rich.” Wryly shaking her head, she looked back toward the dresser top. “So yes, Thunderlane. I married Filthy for the money. And I am damn proud to be known for that. No matter what heat it brings my way.”
“Well then…” Thunderlane didn’t want to think about this for long. If he’d lost his little brother Rumble the way she nearly lost Spoiled Rotten, who knows what it’d do for his personality? “I’m happy to take some of the heat off, Miss Rich.”
“Thank you.” Spoiled said. “Sorry about the monitor thing. In case you can’t tell, our marriage is quite open - on both our approval.”
“Right.” Thunderlane stood up. “Tell you what; I’ll explain to Dia what she heard before I go.”
“You would?” Spoiled asked. “I-I mean… of course you should. It’s only fair for disobeying me.”
Thunderlane gave her a knowing grin. “What can I say? I’m a dirty little rulebreaker.” And he slowly slipped out, zipping up his flight suit again as the door closed.
Spoiled waited until she could hear the gracious Wonderbolt’s steps disappear before turning to the note. Unrolling it, she saw the blocky cursive; too angry to be her own, too hasty to be her sister’s.

Spoiled crumbled up the letter, her breath hitched up through gritted teeth. Storming to the wind, she prepared to throw it out into the afternoon sky. The second she arched back her hand, however, the trembling fist unclenched. The note fell to the floor.
Losing her nerve, Spoiled reached down and picked up the ball of parchment, unfurling it enough to reveal the bottom half. Gulping harshly, she read it again, the spot past her mother's words. This writing was neat, gracious… almost hauntingly perfect.

“C-certainly.” came the breathy response. “J-just give it a minute before you head down. Applejack’s so shy about being seen naked in our house.”
