Chapters Sleeping was supposed to be peaceful, it was meant to help all sorts of creatures to relax. It was meant to help put any creatures mind at ease from what had happened during the day. Well, not tonight it seemed...
There was a beautiful blue crystal palace in the middle of a kingdom that was long forgotten and believed to be a myth. The inside was beautiful with blue crystal colours along the walls, ceiling and floor. The floors had a red mat in the middle, belonging to royalty as you walked down those corridors. There were currently guards patrolling the corridors, making sure that everything was in order.
There were currently four Princess’ at the castle, one was raising the sun and the other raised the moon as well as lowering it. They were sisters but in recent times, the one raising the moon had not had a good relationship with her sister who rose the sun. The third Princess was someone who could detect love within a creature as well as see how dark some creatures heart is. Then was the final Princess, the Princess Of Friendship. Albeit, she is not happy with the title one bit. Not after what had happened.
A few months ago, there was a wedding to be held. The Princess Of Friendship, or as she is also known as Twilight Sparkle had been confused at first. She had been invited to a wedding that she did not know at first. It turned out that it was her older brother’s wedding. She had no idea who he was going to marry at first.
When she found out who it would be, she had been thrilled. It was the Princess Of Love and her old foal sitter. Mi Amore Cadenza or Cadance as she preferred to be called. Twilight had been excited but was angry at her brother for not feeling her about it. She then found out that there had been some sort of threat from the outside. Well, it had made sense but she was still angry at the time. She was then told that she would be the best mare and she forgave her brother.
Then the problem started.
When Twilight got to see Cadance, it was very weird. She was like nothing Twilight remembered her like. Of course, with the threat and wedding going on, Twilight did suspect that perhaps Cadance was just on edge. But that was not the case, Cadance was overall rude to everypony. Twilight then told her friends about it. They didn’t believe her. They believed it was like Twilight suspected first, her nerves getting to her from the threat and the wedding.
The sad part about all of this? They only said that because she was a Princess. Twilight had not earned her wings then, it would take a few months before that happened. They did not even know Cadance as well as Twilight did. Spike did know her so she thought that he would have some common sense with her.
Apparently not.
Twilight then went to the place her brother and Cadance were staying at only for it to be revealed that Cadance we're putting some kind of spell on him. Twilight rushed away from there and she had a plan for revealing what it was she saw.
When they were practising for the official wedding, Twilight rushed inside and declared that the Cadance they saw was not the real Cadance. Twilight explained what it was she saw happen in the room and that she believed that fake Cadance was using a spell on him. Everyone was shocked. The fake Cadance ran off crying her eyes out.
Shining Armor was angry with Twilight and explained what the situation was. He was practising for the wedding, patrolling Canterlot and the castle because of the threat that had been sent by an outside source and several other things regarding the wedding and the royal guards. The spell was used to take ”away” the headaches.
Twilight had been shocked and realized her mistake. Shining had walked towards the exit of the room they were in. The same room that would be used for the wedding. He told Twilight to not bother to come to the wedding or even be the best mare. It had broken Twilight’s heart. Her friends turned their backs on her, even her mentor...
Twilight had started to cry, she realised her mistake. Perhaps it was the nerves that were getting to her old foal sitter? Then, the fake Cadance walked into the room and used a spell that sent her down to the caves of the castle, a forgotten place. The last thing she heard before the spell had been sealed was evil laughter that echoed in her mind.
Twilight woke up a few minutes later after falling unconscious. To her shock, she was greeted by a disoriented Princess Cadance. The real one this time. Twilight had been shocked but she wanted to still be sure that it was the real one. She could not afford to be fooled once again. This Cadance knew the Lady Bugs song and the dance movements. This was the real deal.
Cadence explained to Twilight what had happened. That the fake Cadance was in fact, Changeling. A creature that could shapeshift into different creatures, including the one’s you love. They feed off from love as well. Twilight had been shocked. She had been right all along...
Together, Princess Cadance and Twilight went through a tunnel that would lead them to the exit of the caves and hopefully, stop the wedding before it commenced fully.
When they had reached the exit, that we're met with Cadences’ former bridesmaids that were in control of the Changeling Queens magic. They attacked them but Cadance threw a bouquet, distracting the three mares. Twilight and Cadance had rushed towards the ceremony room, hoping that it wasn’t too late.
Twilight flung the door open just in time before the fake Cadance and Shining Armor was wedded to each other. There were a lot of noble ponies there, they were good friends of Cadance and weren’t snobbish.
The ponies were shocked when the real Cadance showed herself. It was then revealed about what had been going on for the last few weeks. The element bearers felt guilty and tried to apologise but Twilight pretended to be focusing on the Changeling Queen.
Together, Twilight and her former friends fought the Changelings trying to get to the Elements of Harmony.
They fought and fought but it seems to be futile. Princess Celestia had been knocked out by the Changeling Queen. Twilight had been fueled by anger at that. How could the sun princess be so incompetent? She had the magic of the sun and she did not use it on the Changeling Queen? Perhaps the Princess was getting lazy from all the cake-eating.
Cadance and Shining Armor kissed and their love for each other swirled around them, sending them into the air. The magic was pure of goodness and light. No taunts of corruption, the corruption that was making Shining obey Queen Chrysalis has whisked away from his mind and body. He then had ”woken up” from a kind of sleep.
When Cadance and Shining kissed, there was a shockwave that sent the Changelings flying away back to their kingdom. Everything seemed to be looking up. Twilight on the other hand was not happy. She had just fought several Changelings and she had not even been given an apology. Yes, Applejack tried to earlier, Twilight will give her that but at the time, she was too focused on the changelings. What was Applejack thinking? Apologising in the middle of an upcoming battle?
Cadance and Shining Armor were going to have their actual wedding that day. Twilight would be the best mare. Under normal circumstances, she would have accepted the proposition, but after what her brother had told her, she just couldn’t.
She never attended the wedding. She left the wedding and travelled back to Ponyville. From what she knew, they had not noticed until she had gone on the train by Pinkie Pie who had been watching outside the window, feeling guilty about what happened. She had exclaimed and shouted for the others to come and look. When they saw Twilight enter the train, Cadance had rushed towards the train, trying to stop the angry mare but she couldn’t. The train started as soon as she was close enough.
For the next few months, Twilight was miserable. Yes, she was at fault for giving an accusation with no apparent proof, but should they still not have believed her? She would expect Celestia to, considering she is the aunt of Cadance. She must have been too focused on her cakes to notice anything.
Twilight was currently inside of her bed chambers in the Crystal Empire. She was angry and frustrated. She was tired of feeling betrayed. She was tired of being anywhere near her former friends. All she wanted to do was to live her life without seeing them cause harm.
Maybe she was being slightly unfair? No. They had their chance, they should have believed her, she knew Princess Cadance the best out of all of them, maybe except Princess Celestia, but she seems to have been proven wrong in that department as well. She could not help but shake her head in disappointment.
She worked so hard just to make sure that they were alright over the last few months and then they treat her as if she is nothing more but an annoyance.
She could not hold in her emotions any longer, she had to let them out. If she didn’t, she maybe would end up doing something she would truly regret. She started to cry for her friends, mentor, sister-in-law, former brother. Her younger brother... son. Spike, her number one assistant. The one who she believed would be by her side.
She turned towards the left side of the bed, facing away from the crown that had been to her right on a bedside table. The crown that showed she was the element of magic and Princess Of Friendship. She couldn’t face it anymore. She was no princess, she was just... broken. Like a shattered stone that cannot be rebuilt.
She suddenly heard a door creak a little but she did not care. She had a feeling it was one of her former friends. She heard a small sound of magic and she turned to the right to shout at them but she stopped when she saw it was neither of her friends.
In the air hovered her crown from whomever the unicorn was. The unicorn looked startled but she noticed the tears running down the cheeks of the alicorn princess.
The unicorn was hiding behind a black cloak but she lowered down the hood of her cloak, revealing to be a mare with red and good mane and tail that were in streaks, making it have the illusions of flames. Her eyes were moderate cyan and her coat was amber. She looked at Twilight with some hint of confusion but also, concern.
”Hey,” The unicorn weakly, greeted. There was no appropriate way to start a conversation, she was stealing the Princess of Friendships crown in the middle of the night in Canterlot or wherever she was. Had glanced out a window and recognized nothing but maybe Yakyakistan?
”Uh,” Twilight did not know how to respond to the greeting. She did not fully mind the stranger of a mare who was stealing her crown. Maybe it was for the best? At least she would not have to be reminded of that day, her failure . The unicorn moved towards her, her hooves making very small echo sounds around the room but did not draw the attention of the guards.
”Are you okay? I know this is not appropriate but I am concerned for your well-being.” The unicorn said. Twilight only looked at her as if she was a stranger. She was as well, Twilight had never seen her before so why did she felt like she needed to answer the mare? Why did she feel like doing anything with this mare? Twilight shrugged at the mare.
”I was betrayed.” Twilight answered simply. The blue bed covers in her bed were pushed away by Twilight. The tears in her eyes remained. She glanced at the amber coated mare who looked at her confused. She placed the crown back on the bedside table. She sat on the bed and waited for Twilight to elaborate.
”Care to elaborate?” The mare asked. Twilight just looked at her, did she trust her? Not really, but who else could she trust? ”My name is Sunset Shimmer by the way.”
Twilight acknowledged with a nod of understanding.
”My older brother... he was getting married to my old foal sitter, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza.” Twilight began and she glanced slightly at Sunset Shimmer and saw that there was a flicker of strong recognition and something else as well. ”My older brother, Shining Armor, had neglected to tell me that he was getting married. I had received the invitation from Princess Celestia, my mentor. It informed me of the wedding.
”I was both shocked, angry and happy. Shocked because I did not believe my brother was dating. Angry because he was not there to tell me so personally. Happy, because I knew he deserved happiness in his life. He was my Big Brother Best Friend Forever. Was...
”My friends and I had been invited to come along, and my little brother and assistant, Spike, was there as well because he was a younger brother of Shining as well. When we arrived in Canterlot there were a lot of royal guards and Shining Armor was there giving orders around. I confronted him about the whole wedding ordeal. The invitation was out of nowhere, I had no idea he had been dating or the fact that he was even seeing somepony. He then told me about an outside threat that had warned them about the wedding so they had been on high alert. He could not come personally because of that. I understood but I was still angry until he told me that I would be Best Mare.
”I will admit I did feel a little happy but it felt sort of like a bribe so I went back to being angry about not being told in person. I stated that I did not know the pony he would be marrying. I will also admit that I was being a little overprotective here, which I should not have been considering he is a few years older than me. It was then he told me who he was marrying.
”Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, the niece of Princess Celestia and my old foal sitter. She is the most amazing pony there is and she is stunning in every sense of the word. She is kind and generous and very understanding. There were times where I felt like I was below her because I was just a normal unicorn while she was an alicorn. A princess...
”When she showed herself, only, it wasn’t Cadance, it was a Changeling named Queen Chrysalis. B ut I did not learn that until later. I noticed the mean demeanour that the fake Cadence had. I was so sure that everypony else saw it but they just said it was wedding stress.”
”I would have believed it if it wasn’t for the fact that she was completely weird. She was so mean and was nothing like the Cadance I knew. She made ugly faces at everything she saw. She had no sense of morals at all. I tried to tell my friends this, but they just repeated about wedding stress.”
”I decided to check on my brother after I had grown angry at my former friends, so I headed for the house they were staying in. I saw the game Cadance put on some spell that was without a doubt one to control him. I rushed out of there and I went back to my room at the castle to prepare myself for the wedding practices. But I was afraid for my brother’s safety, taking in the fact I saw something horrifying.”
”When everypony was practising for the real wedding, I walked inside and I declared the false Cadance to be just that: fake. I laid down pretty dumb reasons. The fake Cadance cried crocodile tears and ran out of the room while my former older brother stared at me angrily and told me about the spell being for his headache and then pointed out some other flaws that I do not care to remember. He then told me that I was no longer the best mare and that I shouldn’t come to the wedding at all.”
Sunset Shimmer continued to listen but felt angry at this Shining Armor. Kicking out your younger sister from a wedding?
”I was then abandoned by my friends and my mentor. I still remember Princess Celestia telling me coldly: ’You have a lot to think about.’ I was upset and angry so I cried my tears of sadness for the fact that I may have lost family that day. But then the false Cadance came in and sent me down to the caves beneath Canterlot. A forgotten place to my knowledge, and that is where I met the real Cadance.”
”She proved herself to be the real Cadance by dancing the Lady Bug dance. I knew then that she was the real Cadance and not some changeling. I then told her about my suspicions and she was the one who told me that it was changelings and the changeling queen who was impersonating the fake Cadance.”
Sunset had no idea what this ’Lady Bug Dance’ was, but she did not interrupt.
”I was shocked but it made sense. She explained that they feed off from love and they needed a lot of it to survive. We then made our escape from the caves and we were on the edge. We were worried about what would happen if we were late. Well, Cadance was, I had stopped caring about my former family all together so it did not matter what happened to them.”
”When we made it out of the caves, Cadance and I made our way to the place where the marriage would happen but only after we stopped her former bride maids. I opened the doors with force before the ceremony could fully begin. Cadence then came in and showed herself to everypony. The fake Cadance and everypony were shocked by what they were seeing, including my former friends who acted shocked.”
”Well... they were shocked, but my anger was clouding my judgement. Chrysalis then showed herself to everypony. They were both shocked and frightened. My former friends and mentor looked disgusted at themselves for how they treated me.”
Sunset was shocked that her former mentor, Princess Celestia, did not believe Twilight. If anything, Celestia should have known Cadance the best out of everypony there. So what was Celestia doing? Playing dumb like usual. Always acting like she knows everything when she is just a pathetic excuse of a princess who does not even believe her student who knows Cadance just as much as she.
”I and my former friends ran to get the elements but they were in the end not needed. My brother and Cadance kissed and banished the Changelings back to their forest or wherever they lived. Of course, there had been an intense battle, but I do not want to get into it.”
Sunset nodded and looked at Twilight. There was something about the mare that felt... off. Like there was a sense of darkness enveloping her but it was not damaging her, but rather protecting her. Sunset felt bad for her of course but the darkness was both making her worried and relieved.
”What happened afterwards?” Sunset asked, laying her left hoof on Twilight’s back. Caressing her soothingly. ”Did you go to the wedding?”
Twilight looked at Sunset as if she was dumb. Why would she ask such a ridiculous question?
”No, I never went. In the end, I just left and gave them no signs of saying goodbye but I believe they all knew the reason when they found out I left. Even my former brother. I did see Cadance run towards me. I paid her no heed.”
Sunset waited to hear the rest.
”A few months went by and I got my alicorn wings after I completed a spell from Starswirl. I am here in the Crystal Empire to celebrate that very reason. Not that I am particularly interested. I am here with former friends and a former brother too who I have yet to speak with. Ever since that day, I have not responded to the letters he sent me. I just burned them.”
”And... here we are. You can take the crown if you want. It only gives me bad memories.” Twilight said, causing Sunset to let go of caressing Twilight’s back. She looked at her confused. Was she that desperate? To her rid of bad memories? Sunset then got an idea.
”What if I told you that you can be a princess still under my rule?” Sunset said, her voice holding a sense of authority and excitement. She could have Twilight be a princess and Sunset herself would be the Queen of Equestria.
Twilight looked at Sunset in surprise and wondered what she was talking about. She did not feel like being a princess and yet, Sunset here is talking about Twilight being a princess as if she had some big plan. But what would that plan entail? What would be her purpose?
She was supposed to be the princess of friendship but after what happened at the wedding, she is anything but a princess of friendship. She sometimes refused to wear the crown because of the memories it brought. It was not often she wore it but the second she was out of view of whatever creature, she took it off with no small amount of disdain.
Looking over to Sunset who was smiling and grinning at her, she realized she could get what she wanted the one thing she desired above all else. Revenge...
It had been on her mind since that day, getting her revenge would be nice. She would never have to worry about her former friends getting in the way. Right then and there, Twilight made a decision. One that could mean the end of Equestria.
”Tell me about whatever it is you are planning.” Twilight said, her voice holding eagerness of knowing what the plan entails, the destruction that it could bring giving the right time and place. Eager to sell her friends out, eager to force them to watch the destruction of Equestria, the nation they so dearly loved. The nation Twilight once loved and was proud to belong to...
But Fate has other decisions.
Sunset smirked.
”I plan on bringing the crown to a place called Earth, it is an entirely different dimension with different beings that inhabit the planet. If you and I go there, we can take over a small school filled with students who are oblivious to magic. You and I force them to abide by our rule and we can then take over Equestria, I will be Queen you will be a Princess and anyone else who stand in our way will feel our wrath. A force no creature would want to mess with.”
For each sentence that Twilight heard, she slowly smiled. Her smile wasn’t pleasant. Her lavender colour seemed to have almost been drained but it was faintly there on her. Her eyes shimmered in the night moonlight. Her teeth shined in the darkness and were terrifying. It looked as though she had fangs. Just like a bat pony or other predator creatures.
What Sunset had said, intrigued her. She could not pass up an opportunity about a different dimension or taking over Equestria. She loved the idea of getting revenge and leaving for a while she was sure she would not be missed. Her former friends and mentor made that clear on the wedding day.
Twilight turned to Sunset, her eyes filled with anger and hatred for being reminded of what her former friends and mentor did. Anypony would feel the same way if he or she felt the same emotion every day. Her body trembled slightly but she managed to gain control over her body movements. She would not allow herself to be seen like that. She would never again allow herself to succumb to her fears. She had enough of this version of Equestria.
The one Queen Sunset Shimmer just told her sounded so much better. It sounded like a place where no creature would have to worry about being betrayed or worried over the fact that false wordy will fill a creature. But Twilight did know that Sunset had not told her everything. And for that, Twilight will always respect her. If you tell some creature what you are going to do. They will mock you and tell you that it is impossible, that you cannot do it. What Twilight and Sunset Shimmer are planning is big and it is frightening to think about.
But there is one thing Twilight knows. She and her future Queen will win. That she knew very much will happen.
”So, Sunset, what will you do when we get back to this... ’Earth’ you speak of?” Twilight asked. Her voice holding anger and resentment just imagining what will happen when she returns. The amber coated mare just smiled at her but it looked more like a sadistic grin. One that Twilight returned because her future Queen just saved her some time from more lies her former friends and mentor would tell her.
”We will be going right now if you want to. You do not necessarily have to come along. I could give you a fake crown while I on the other side prepare the invasion, something that dear Princess Celestia will not be able to take on. She will fail like she failed her sister and me .” Sunset grumbled out that last part.
She still had horrible memories of when she was Celestia’s personal student. She did everything her mentor asked of her. She solved all kinds of problems that would be considered impossible if you take the circumstances into that account. Sunset did not have a specific memory she could use as an example because there are too many.
”Wait.” Twilight surprised, looked at Sunset. The amber mare looked down to the floor, walking down memory lane. Sometimes she was happy, sometimes she wished she had some friends. ”You were also a student of Princess Celestia?”
Sunset looked over to Twilight who had a look of surprise and some... pity? It was hard to tell with the lavender coated mare as her eyes displayed unchained hatred that seemed to not be able to be contained for much longer if Twilight does not get what she so desperately needs.
”I was indeed, but it was a long time ago. She took me in after I accidentally burned my orphanage so she took me in and taught me everything about magic. I was around nine or ten at the time so I was still very young. I did my best to be ahead of everypony in my classes, it was nice to be ahead. I got the best marks but I also got a lot of attention for being a student directly connected to the princess. Some ponies wanted to know me so they could brag that they are closer to the princess. I did not realize it until I was too late. But I then showed a side of me that I did not realize I had. Arrogance.”
Twilight knew where this was going. She had seen how Blueblood was and she would rather not see an idiot like that again. But she understood Sunset in this. If she had been used like that, she would also use arrogance to make ponies stay away from her.
”Come,” Sunset said, getting off the bed and grabbing the crown and putting it in her bag. She looked back at Twilight. ”We should go. Sunrise is in a few hours and I would rather not be here when the other princess’ is here.”
Twilight had a frown on her face but did not object. She followed Sunset out of the bedroom and led her down a hallway and passed by her former friends’ rooms but they were not spotted by anypony. Well, if that would have happened. Twilight would simply have put them to sleep with a spell she had found when she had trouble sleeping herself. She was about to use it when Sunset came and tried to steal the crown.
Sunset took a left and lead Twilight inside of a room that was empty of anything living but there was a mirror there. A mirror that had on the edges red dots. Twilight had no idea if this was the portal or not. For all she knew, Sunset could have planned this and was now kidnapping her. But she still followed her.
Her hooves were ten steps away from the mirror and Sunset closed the door behind her and headed for the mirror. She was tense from all the activities she had to do to get the crown. She trotted up to Twilight carefully as to not startle her. She knew that the new alicorn was thinking about the possibilities of Sunset kidnapping her.
Well, to an extent she was.
”Nervous?” Sunset asked quickly as she checked three times to make sure that the crown was there. She wanted to be absolutely sure that the crown was there so she could easily invade and take over Equestria.
Twilight looked over to Sunset and blushed as she nodded in confirmation. She was indeed nervous. She was going to an entirely different world. A lot of things were bound to be different. But she would be there just for...
”Hey, Sunset, how long are we staying over there?” Twilight curiously asked. There would only be a few days she slightly hoped. This was something she came to realize that she needed. Sunset looked into Twilight’s eyes and smirked in her direction.
”Three days. That is all we need.” Sunset said and walked towards the mirror and looked back at Twilight. She gave her a wink and walked through the mirror. Twilight’s mind should have been racing. But it wasn’t. She walked towards the mirror and felt her body stretch.

Swirling through the portal was like being stretched by somepony else. It was very uncomfortable but there was this sense of niceness as well. Like you get to stretch areas that you were not able to do before.
Twilight saw rainbow swirls and it was making her feel the start of a headache. She hoped that Sunset Shimmer knew what she was doing. She did not want to end up in a different dimension and get arrested for something stupid.
She was here to get her revenge not get into trouble for whatever reason. Twilight suddenly felt something hard on her stomach area. She felt her head spin as she raised her right hoof to her face. She opened her eyes and saw some stone under her. She felt her upper chest area hurt a little and it made her uncomfortable.
She put her front hooves on the ground and pushed herself upward. Her back hooves felt strange though as well as her front hooves. She looked up and saw Sunset standing like…
A monkey? That couldn’t be right…
Sunset was wearing black boots with purple glitter, an orange skirt with a purplish pinkish t-shirt with a sun mark on it. A leather jacket that Twilight had seen some of the wonderbolts wear back in her home dimension.
Sunset had long forehooves, or something else… her hooves did not look or seem normal. They had long pointy things. Sunset stood over Twilight, towering over her, but not in an intimidating way. It was rather in a friendly manner. Sunset smiled and stretched her hand forward but then there was a voice who sounded surprised and curious.
”Sunset?” Sunset’s eyes turned pinpricks as she heard the voice. Someone had seen them! What would she do!? She used both of her hands to grab her hair from both sides of her head. Her legs shaped as she turned back towards the boy she had broken up with.
Flash Sentry.
He was a teenage boy with blue rocky hair, wearing a white t-shirt with a blue shield and yellow lighting in it. Blue jeans and black shoes with a white area around the toe area. He wore a black jacket with a red and white line. The white line was above the red one and stretched around the upper chest area.
His vivid cornflower blue eyes shined with curiosity and wonder. He had hung out with a few friends of his who decided to break into the school to see what happens at nighttime. He had broken back out because it got boring and his other pals ditched him so he decided to go back when he saw Sunset and the other girl stumble out of the statue.
The other girl…
Flash Sentrys’ cheeks turned pink as he saw the girl. She was sitting on the ground, looking over her body. She looked confused as if she had never come across a body like the one she was in before.
Flash was all for conspiracies but was other dimensions possible? Did he just witness his ex and this girl come from an entirely different dimension? Did he even want an answer to that? He probably didn’t.
Sunset looked at him in a very nervous manner. He had seen all sides of her, the fake sides and the real sides. He knew when she was lying and when she was nervous. To him, she was like an open book.
Sunset regained her senses, stopping her shaking, crossing her arms, looking at the boy who wanted to be a rockstar with dead eyes. Sunset was good at that, looking at people as if she was dead, she loved the reaction she got from them. It meant she had authority.
”Flash, what are you doing here?” Sunset questioned. She did know that some people broke into the school to have some fun and look for paranormal activity but it was the first time she had seen Flash be at the school when it was completely closed. What was he doing here?
”I was hanging out with friends,” He started, his voice held embarrassment. ”We had decided to break into the school to have some fun but some of them must have bolted or left the school because I cannot find them anywhere. So I climbed back out and decided to go home.”
Sunset felt her heart beat faster. She still had her arms crossed as she looked at the boy’s face. He was telling the truth. She did notice that he said nothing else but she needed to know exactly what he saw.
”And?” Sunset pressed.
”I saw you and the other girl emerge from the stone…” Flash said. ”How did you do it? Was it special movie effects or something?”
Sunset knew she could not keep the secret for long, not even long enough for her lie to work.
”Flash, I do not know if I should tell you this or not, but me and this girl, Twilight Sparkle,” Sunset pointed at Twilight who was looking at Flash with blushing cheeks. ”Are from an entirely different world. A dimension.”
Flash just looked at Sunset. The reason why he believed in a different dimension before was that he had read a book about theories of different dimensions and that there was no way they did not exist. He did not remember the author but some of the things he read made too much sense for him. What if two dimensions share the same sun and moon without seeing each other? It would make sense speaking to the fact that no one knows how the universe was created.
Everyone says ”The Big Bang” but how can they be sure? For all they know, it could have been a war in a milky way with different species. A nuclear weapon hit the other planet and the ”Big Bang” was just a nuclear explosion.
Flash blushed. He got a little carried away there. Needless to say, he believed them but he would need some proof. Not solid, simply proof that there is a different dimension.
”Do you have any sort of proof?” He asked, his voice shaking slightly by the fact that there was potentially a whole different world! He could not pass up an opportunity like this.
Sunset looked at Flash oddly. Should he not be calling her a liar or prankster? Twilight was too busy poking herself all over her body to make sure it was all real. And try to understand her body a bit more.
Flash noticed her look and smiled sheepishly.
”I have read a lot of books and I have also noticed how you look at everything with calculating eyes as if you are trying to figure out how things worked. I know that it was a very stupid leap as it is a possibility that you had been simply abused, but it was not like that. You were healthy and smart.”
Sunset blushed a tiny bit as it was the first time she had heard a comment like that. She smiled a little. She did not know why. She moved towards the other boy who had his hands in his jacket pockets. His cheeks were pink.
Sunset, when she was one step away from him, hugged him tightly. Her arms were on his back, feeling his toned muscles from his backside.
Flash was taken aback by this gesture but accepted it nonetheless. He had broken up with Sunset after he found out she was only dating him to gain popularity. He also found out what she had done behind his back: bullying other students and blackmailing them.
He knew all of this, but he accepted a hug from her.
Why?
Why did he accept it, why was he accepting it?
They broke their hug and Flash felt his heart flutter as he saw Twilight attempt to stand up but she fell to the ground, he walked over and stretched his right hand to her.
Twilight’s cheeks burned in embarrassment. Here was a stallion she liked and she had made herself look like a fool! How could she allow herself to stoop so low? First, she trusts her former friends and mentors and now this? She was falling from grace that was for sure.
Twilight took the outstretched hand and felt how she was about to fall over but was stopped by the strength of the stallion.
Twilight’s face was rapidly becoming redder as the seconds passed.

On Tuesday morning around three, Sunset Shimmer had invited them to her apartment where she lived. Her apartment had a large lightbulb in the ceiling. Her living room had a large couch pressed up against the right side wall with a Tv on top of a Tv stand with some books she had left there. The floor was cold and sturdy and was made from wood albeit Sunset did not know what kind.
She had a very small kitchen with some small cabinets and some kitchen necessities. The walls had a darker beige colour. Flash and Twilight sat down on the couch, both of them feeling their bodies heat up from touching each other on the legs.
Sunset was grinning slightly.
She walked towards them and sat the opposite of them on her knees. Her face turned serious as she glanced over to Twilight whose face was now entirely crimson. She did try to hide it but it was difficult with a hot stallion beside her and a new friend who seemed to be trying to hook her up with the stallion.
”So, Flash, I showed you the portal but I apologize that I dragged you away from that sight.” Sunset said, her face filled with sympathy. Flash had been very excited when he learned that the portal was indeed real and that it leads to a different dimension. She had not told him about Twilight’s predicament, however. ”But we have important things going on, things that I believe you deserve to know. First, Twilight, would you like to explain to him why you are here of all places?”
Twilight’s face darkened and the room felt chillier than it was before. Flash looked around the room and saw no window in sight. ’Odd, why is it so chilly?’ Flash questioned.
Twilight was unsure of whether or not she should explain her tale. She felt like she could trust him, but after what her former friends did, she did not want to spill the beans. But she probably had to. Sunset had her in a spot right now.
If Twilight did not explain it, Sunset would.
”It all started …” Twilight began her tale, explaining who she was before she came to the human world, what she did and who her former friends and mentor were. She explained everything leading up to the point of her joining forces with Sunset.
Throughout the story, Flash felt anger towards her former friends. How could anyone do that to their so-called ”best friend?” They were not her friends from the beginning when they did that. They never cared for her, it is clear as day. Flash could not help but laugh a little.
Here he believed that Sunset Shimmer was a horrible person but here this girl comes, telling him her life story about how she was betrayed. Twilight’s friends were way worse.
’Maybe I should join them?’ Flash thought.
Of course, he is usually against bullying and beating up people for no apparent reason but this called for it. Well, he did have a reason, but if he was to meet Twilight’s former friends, then he would be essentially attacking them for no apparent reason as they have never even met him before.
Ding!
Sunset’s alarm went off and she got up from her knees and walked to the door. She knew who she was expecting and would be more than happy to let them inside. They had been loyal to her for the last few years.
She had texted them when she walked with her friend and ex-boyfriend to her apartment.
She reached the door and opened it. Outside stood two boys who looked sleepy. Probably because they had been asleep. Sunset for the first time in her small life felt guilty.
She needed them though.
One of them had a strange shade of orange skin with freckles and greenish turquoise hair. He wore a red t-shirt with a green jacket and light beige pants and red shoes. That was Snails.
The other one had opalish grey skin with brilliant orange hair. He wore a black t-shirt with white scissors on it. He wore jeans and green shoes. His eyes were black just like Snails’.
”Good morning, boss…” Snails tiredly said and yawned as he stretched himself a little. He failed to notice that Sunset smiled at him in appreciation. He may be tired but he looked ready enough.
Snails had fallen asleep standing up.
Sunset chuckled lightly and it went unnoticed by Snips who was trying to shake his friend awake. Sunset opened the door for them and they walked inside like zombies who were half awake and half asleep at the same time.
The two friends walked into the living room as Sunset closed the door and followed them. Snips was surprised to see Flash Sentry there, hadn’t he and their boss broke up? He was not that tired, was he? He hoped he wasn’t seeing things.
”Sentry?” Snips said in surprise and placed Snails beside Flash who gently took Snails and allowed him to sleep beside him. Flash smiled slightly at Snips. He looked over to Twilight who Snips had not noticed before.
”Hello, Snips, this is Twilight Sparkle.” The lavender skinned girl looked over to Snips and felt a little surprise in seeing somepony she recognized from back home. Had he travelled over here? But that was not possible! Unless ...
”Hello, my name is Snips and that is my friend Snails.” Snips said, first pointing to himself than his friend who was sleeping on the couch with his head on Flashes' left shoulder.
”Pleasure, my name is Princess Twilight Sparkle.” Twilight introduced before she could stop herself. She was met with blank stares as Sunset walked into the living room with two cups of warm chocolate for her two tired lackeys. She also heard what Twilight had just proclaimed.
”That is indeed true, Snips, Snails and Flash.” She is a princess from another world. The world where I come from.” Sunset said in some profound disdain.
”Equestria?” Snips sceptically asked. He did believe his boss of course but it all seems so sudden. Flash just looked at Snips. He had heard the name before but he had not believed it was the name. He was proven wrong.
”Yes, Equestria is the nation run by two alicorn sisters who are known as Princess Celestia and Luna.” Sunset said, knowing the three boys would be shocked. Who wouldn’t be? When you only know them as Principal and Vice-Principal it is hard to picture them as something else.
Right on her prediction, Flash, Snips and Snails, who had just woken up, their jaws dropped to the floor as they just heard what Sunset said so casually as if it was normal. She must be joking right … right?
Flash was shocked! His two principles were princesses’ in another dimension! If it was true that is. There was still a large possibility that it was all just a well thought out prank.
Before Flash could counter though, Sunset started speaking.
”I know you all have questions but they will have to wait for another time. Right now, I want you, Twilight, to explain to them what happened to you and what the plan of action is.”
Once again, Twilight explained what happened to her leading up to the betrayal. She did not cry or show any emotional attachment to what happened. She only showed an empty facade. A facade that unnerved the rest of them par Sunset who was amazed by it.
Snips and Snails we’re deeply disgusted by Twilight’s former friends’ acts and vowed that they would punish them severely for their crimes. Flash simply looked angry. How could anyone ever be so cruel?
He made his decision then and there, he was going to join her and no one would stop him. Maybe, he would even get to marry her …
Flash shook his head, he had an important task at hand, he could not be daydreaming right now! He looked over to Sunset and only saw her slight smirk.
Flash blushed.
Author's Note
Only one more chapter to go. To anyone wondering, no, I did not take requests. I needed to revamp this because it did not fit the original storyline. After this one, I won’t be accepting requests so do not bother asking. Sorry if I come off as rude, I had a very bad day today.
It was truly happening, everything was set in stone by now. The new regime would finally happen and Twilight would have her revenge. She was dancing with Flash Sentry, looking into his eyes as her feet moved on the floor along with his. The rhythm of the song that was playing was perfect.
Twilight was wearing a pink dress with some glitter and white edges with matching boots. Flash Sentry was wearing a black suit with a white shirt and a red fly. He looked amazingly handsome and powerful at the same time as if he held power that no one else knew of.
Twilight’s two comrades, Snips and Snails we’re with their dates. Snips had asked out Scootaloo and Snails had asked out Applebloom. They had both said yes, much to the two lackey’s surprise. Snips and Snails had told them everything about Twilight and Sunset’s plans, and when they found out, they were more than willing to help Sunset Shimmer.
Sunset herself to Twilight’s knowledge was making some last-minute pep-talk with herself and had told Twilight to enjoy the ball with her future husband to which Twilight had responded with:
”Could you be the wedding planner?”
Sunset’s face had been twisted into a look of shock but then it steadily turned into one of delight. Sunset certainly loved planning things. But a wedding was easier to plan than a coup against an entire kingdom.
The dance floor was packed with students who were dancing with their partners and they looked quite happy, really happy. Happier than Twilight herself would have expected. But she knew that Sunset ruled the school with an iron fist.
At least it was good practice!
Twilight had both seen and accidentally run into her former friends’ counterparts, it was not pleasant to see them one bit. It was just wrong to even see them. It was like they were there, mocking her from her misery.
But at least it was just for a few days, then all she needed to do was to unload all her anger during the invasion. Let her former friends and mentor know how they broke her beyond repair. How they all screwed up. It would be glorious.
Those two days she was in the human world were both confusing and exciting. She learned how everything worked like ”cars”, ”telephone” and so forth. It was a learning experience for her that she enjoyed. She had a pretty good grasp of the human world and how it worked.
Sunset had shown Twilight the library at the school and Twilight had drooled at the sight of the books. The one thing she still loved was books, the one thing that had never lied to or deceived her. The thing that gave her knowledge.
She managed to read the whole library within those two days. She knew how everything worked by now so that was good for her. Flash also spent some time with her and she asked him about everything, how things worked and how some of the things they even managed to do like the moon landing.
Flash had never been so happy to be in school like he was at that moment.

Sunset Shimmer was wearing a black dress that covered her arms and legs but if you glanced it would look like armour. Her cutie mark was in the middle, showing what mark she carried and would be the symbol of her new glorious nation, the nation Celestia has broken beyond repair.
That is what happens when psychopaths and idiots run a nation, they make themselves look glorious when they do not even know how to run things. But Celestia was smart. Either you enslave ponies with swords or you do it with taxes, she was truly smart.
Sunset laughed heartfeltly.
She was inside one of the classrooms with the benches and chairs empty. The chairs were turned upside down and were on the benches. The twenty feet square room was just perfect for Sunset’s planning. She was standing near the doorway but slowly moved to the front of the class, standing before the whiteboard.
She turned to the class and just felt her adrenaline and thrill come to her. Years of planning, she was finally doing it! But why was she so afraid? …
She couldn’t be, she planned this for so long and she worked so hard to be at the top of everything. When she first came to the human world, she did not know how anything worked. She went to a library and started doing some reading about politics and how the world worked. After she had read the entire library, she had become confident in how everything worked.
Later, she joined Canterlot High and she studied like a madwoman to be as high in the class as possible. She started dating Flash and they were a thing for a while and then they broke up. It was only a few weeks ago if she remembered correctly.
She never loved him though. It was no big loss for her.
She had planned to hurt him for when she did her invasion but now when she sees Twilight looking at him, she decided to just skip that plan. Twilight deserved someone who loves her and can cherish her like soulmates.
Sunset remembered all the lessons she had with Celestia …
Strange …
They say that what you try to forget is what you remember the most. Sunset guessed that it was the case for her. But there was one lesson she always remembered. The lesson about how to silently control ponies without them noticing. Why Celestia taught Sunset that was in case Sunset ever saw a kingdom somewhere else and it seemed off, she would then have the answer as to why it feels off.
Sunset knew how to control her subjects. Giving them whatever they want, there will be no lower, middle, or upper class. There will only be one class. Sure, she may be the ruler but she considered herself just like any other pony, something other rulers would never do.
It just shows how kind she is to her loyal subjects.
Sunset checked her watch and saw that it was time for her to make her grand appearance in front of her future loyal subjects. She moved with elegance away from the teachers’ desk and headed out of the classroom and made her way towards the auditorium.
It felt strange for her to be walking through the hallways one last time, she did not fully believe it would happen. It had taken her years to stand where she does right now and she was about to give it all away for the nation she was “exiled” from. She would finally have what she desired the most out of everything in the world.
She would not be ruling alone either, she would have princess Twilight Sparkle with her and perhaps some other ponies who never betrayed Twilight like her coward friends. Sunset would make sure that they were punished for their crimes against her kingdom.
Turning towards a hallway to the right she noticed the auditorium was filled with students and saw Twilight herself talking to Sweetie Belle the younger sister of Rarity Belle. She wondered what they were speaking about but she did not want to eavesdrop. It was their business.
Sunset walked towards the edge where Vinyl Scratch otherwise known as Dj Pon3 was playing her beats that everyone enjoyed and loved. Principal Celestia picked up the microphone that was near the edge and grabbed everyone’s attention easily.
The dancers and other party-goers had their attention to Celestia and she smiled at all of them warmly as they waited to hear the winner of this year’s Ball Queen. Of course, everyone knew already who would win. It was Sunset Shimmer! The queen bee of the school, the one who makes everyone shiver if they talk to her the wrong way.
“Hello, my students! I know that all of you are very excited to hear about this year’s ball queen but first I would like to thank all of you who made this possible to even happen. Without your support, we would not be here today but without further ado,” Celestia was holding an envelope which held the winner but everyone knew who would win but you never knew, it could be that Twilight girl as well. “The winner is SUNSET SHIMMER!”
Everyone clapped, some with enthusiasm like Flash, Applebloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Snips, Snails, and Twilight. While the rest of the school just did it for politeness. Vice-Principal Luna noticed this but she did not say anything, she could not jump to conclusions. For all, she knew the other students could just be tired. It was a possibility at the very least.

Everything was going smoothly for Twilight. She had noticed how Sweetie Belle did not have a date and she looked pretty lonely. She had gone over to her and asked her if she was alright when Sweetie revealed that she did not have someone to dance with and how she felt a small tinge of jealousness of her two best friends.
Twilight understood the feeling.
She started telling her about her assistant Spike and how he did not date either and that perhaps the two could be a good match. Sweetie Belle had looked at Twilight for a very long minute and felt a sense of happiness when she heard that and agreed.
If it did not really work out, they could just start as friends.
Twilight watched as Sunset, her future Queen entered the auditorium. She walked with elegance and power, making some of the humans there groan slightly. Then it was revealed that Sunset Shimmer had won yet again.
Then, principal Celestia came out with the crown … Twilight’s crown, the one she would have worn if she recognized herself as a princess. The Princess Of Friendship, what a joke. She could never see herself wear that crown at all. Why would she wear it? It only brought her misery from remembering what her former friends did, not believing her, their betrayal, their hurtful words …
Twilight felt herself on the verge of crying, but she stopped herself, she could not cry in public, it would only give her former friends satisfaction …
Without realizing it, she was slipping into a demonic mind and she watched as Sunset bowed to Principal Celestia, allowing her to place the crown on top of her head, just as the crown hit Sunset’s head, there was a large magical explosion and everyone screamed.
There was a powerful magical source emitting from Sunset as she was covered by dark green and black light, covering her entirely. Twilight for the first time realized what she was doing but she did not do anything to stop it. She started smiling.
The light stopped and everyone was quiet, too quiet.
Twilight looked around and saw that Sunset had been turned into a demonic creature, her dress now adorning her features well. Her boots looked more like soldier boots and made clicking noises like metal hitting the ground. Her eyes were pitch black. Her hair stood up straight, the gold and red resembling fire.
“Wow … you look so beautiful.” Twilight glanced to the right and saw Flash Sentry stand before her looking entirely different than what he looked like minutes ago. His skin was all yellow, his hair was like fire, the clothing resembled more of a connected outfit and his hands were more claw-like. His eyes were as red as wine.
Twilight immediately felt an attraction to this version of him, he looked so handsome and mature. Well, he was already mature but he looked more than he did before. Twilight stretched her arms forward to hug him but she noticed something …
Her arms were more, grotesque. It was like she had been turned into a demon! Without thinking, she summoned a mirror not even realizing that she should not be able to do that. She was very different, she was who she truly was. Her dress was one of a Princess and her facial features looked more defined.
“You do not look so bad yourself, Sentry,” Twilight stated, her voice trailing off as she looked at him and felt her love for him blossom even more. She did not notice the other students around them were being turned into demons. They only saw each other. They walked towards each other, their eyes being mesmerized by the other. When they were a simple step away from each other, they kissed.
The other demons around them felt this sense of loyalty towards Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle. The human counterparts of the mane five were turned into abhorrent demonic entities but still felt the sense that they needed to be loyal to Sunset and Twilight.
Snips and Snails turned into demons with armour all over them. The armour covered their chest and stomach. In the middle, it held Sunset’s cutie mark which showed their loyalty. They looked at each other and then looked behind, the dates that they brought, Applebloom and Scootaloo had dresses that now resembled a noble family, the dresses were made from gold and they did not look remotely fake.

It had taken several minutes before the demons had calmed down from their excitement to be a part of their future Queen’s ideal world. A place where the demons ruled over everything, those who opposed their rule would feel their military’s wrath.
Sunset had turned everyone into demons including the principal and vice-principal. They could potentially be vital for the future of education within the Demonic Equestrian Republic. Their flag would be the one that Sunset has as a cutie mark, every demon would have to have pictures of the royal family. They would all have to pray for them at least once a day.
Their military would be the strongest the lands of Equestria would ever witness. The demonic power they have within their bodies, mind, and spirit would be unrivaled compared to normal unicorns or other magic users. Their claw-to-claw combat would be better than any dragon.
Sunset smiled sadistically, imagining herself sitting on her throne so high in the sky that she could see every creature within her kingdom, her subjects kneeling before her. She would finally receive what she rightfully deserved. But she had not been alone, Twilight Sparkle helped a lot as well. The purple demoness deserves both the wedding and the title of princess.
She rounded up all her subjects, Snips and Snails walking like soldiers towards Queen Sunset Shimmer, Scootaloo putting her arm around Snips and Applebloom on Snails. They would be the future wives of soldier commanders of the demonic military army that would rule everything in Equestria.
Twilight and Flash Sentry walked towards their Queen. The bowed to her in respect. Not that Sunset believed it was needed, they would soon be family with one another. Twilight being a princess and Flash becoming the future prince once he is married.
The demons saw their Queen before them with princess Midnight Sparkle, as they had been directed to call the latter. The two royal demons had a demanding look on their facial features as they watched all of their subjects grin sadistically but had a military posture like those going to war.
“My glorious subjects,” Sunset said, a smirk playing on her lip as her wings closed themselves and her hands clasping each other. Twilight turned all her attention towards her so she could show even more loyalty to her Queen. “Today is the day that Equestria falls and we take over the power. A power that should only be ruled by creatures like us,”
The demons cheered at that. They completely agreed with their Queen, only demons should rule the worlds and dimensions, not weaklings like humans and ponies! When they had been transformed, Sunset had given them everything they needed to know about Equestria which would be very beneficial for those who have never even heard of it.
“Our army will take over the capital, slaughter those who stand in our way, but first and foremost.” Sunset turned towards Twilight who was watching her queen in apprehension. “We will make certain ponies pay for betraying their princess.”
The demons cheered and clapped their claws.
Twilight felt her heart warm up from such a beautiful speech. She had not expected this but t was beautiful of her Queen to do so. All they had to do now was invade. The eagerness seeped into her heart, adrenaline reaching a whole new level.
Sunset turned towards Twilight and Flash, her eyes holding mirth from what she was about to do. She was finally at the stage she had been waiting for. All those years waiting and now she was finally here. All that was left was to do it.
“Princess Midnight, future Prince Flash, you will be behind me when we march through the portal. Snips, Snails make sure that our soldiers are ready for the battle ahead, I can tell that it will most likely be ugly.” Sunset proclaimed, walking closer to the portal, her hands behind her back.
The two demons saluted and bowed in respect of their Queen. They were not going to let her down.
“Come,” She said to Midnight and Flash and walked through the portal. She felt the familiar swirling sensation entering her body. It felt nice for some odd reason. But perhaps it was her new body that was making her feel used to it.
When she got to the other side, she was met with an empty room where she and Midnight had walked through. The place where the mirror was kept. She let out a hysterical laugh, she had succeeded at last! The throne would be hers. But maybe Nightmare Moon would be interested? There would only be one way to find out.
She heard a thud behind her and she turned to see Flash Sentry on the floor looking dazed. He slowly got up with ease as if it was normal for him to become a pony.
He glanced over his body and seemed impressed, not even a second later, Midnight came through the portal. She walked through with elegance and power radiating off from her. Midnight glanced over to Flash and saw that he had a cutie mark … it resembled Queen Sunset Shimmer, but without details, it was only the design itself. Midnight glanced over to her flank side and saw that she carried the same mark.
Midnight’s body only had two differences. She had wings, but they were shadowy. She gave them a few flaps and immediately flew up into the air but Midnight avoided everything that could make a sound and give themselves away. She also had a shield over her chest with Queen Sunset Shimmer’s mark.
Just when she was about to cackle, other demons started coming through. Snips and Snails together with Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle.

In the throne room of the Crystal Empire, the atmosphere was sad and tense. The main five, Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadance along with Prince Shining Armor stood in this very room with sad looks on their faces.
Princess Twilight Sparkle had run away, and it was all their fault. Cadance and Luna were only there to slightly comfort them even though they silently wanted to cheer for Twilight. But they were worried about where she might be. Cadance knew that Twilight would show herself when she felt ready which was why she had a neutral expression.
“You all realize that you aren’t doing anything good? Mopping around here, not doing anything.” Luna exasperated through gritted teeth. Everypony looked at her, Celestia just nodded while Applejack and Rainbow Dash were about to retort when Fluttershy took charge.
“You are right, Princess Luna, we should not mop in here and do nothing,” Fluttershy said. She had been sitting on the floor with tears in her eyes and when Luna had said those words, she felt like she had a new sense of motivation sparkling inside of her.
They had searched from dirt to sky, trying to find Twilight but she was nowhere to be found and that is what worried all of them. If she was nowhere to be found, then was she watching them?
Was she waiting for the perfect moment for her revenge?
Just then, there was screaming outside the double doors and a few small explosions. The double doors then opened and It was revealed to be demonic figures. Creatures that had no moral whatsoever, lacked sympathy and empathy. Lacked anything good.
One of them that stood out the most was a darker purple-coated mare with black wings and a horn on her head. Her eyes were blood red and were smirking at the shocked ponies. Her revenge was finally here, and this castle could be the new capital for demons. Twilight liked that idea, it would mean that there is one less thing to remember from the old Equestria, the place where you only get stabbed in the back.
Flash and the other demons were being led by Snips and Snails, the two commanders of the demonic military, and maybe Spike could be a general or something. That would be a good idea, Spike is very good with responsibility. He is also the one that keeps a lot of things neat and organized. He will be very good.
That would be an interesting discussion with Queen Sunset Shimmer.
Midnight noticed how Celestia was looking at the Queen in shock. It was like she knew who Midnight’s Queen was. Maybe she did. It got Midnight thinking about the possibility. ‘Huh, I do remember her saying something about how she used to be Celestia’s student.’ Midnight thought.
“Sun … Sunset?” Celestia asked in a frail voice. The other occupants in the room who were not demons looked at Celestia in worry and wonder. They had never seen the Princess’ eyes be filled with fear and sadness. The future Queen just smiled sadistically like all the other demons who were slowly creating a circle, trapping the ones who betrayed Midnight.
“Celestia, so long time and no see. I have missed your pointless lessons,” Sunset said, the crown on her head starting to look more menacing. The others looked at Queen Sunset with complete confusion. What was she talking about?
Meanwhile, Spike, Shining Armor, and Princess Cadance looked towards Midnight and felt a similar presence in her. Spike looked extra closely and saw that it had to be Twilight. She had to be. When he looked towards Shining Armor and Princess Cadance he saw that they had come to the same conclusion as him. They had shocked expressions on their faces.
“Twily?” Shining asked, his voice uncertain after what happened the last time he saw her. She had been angry, so very angry and here she was … turned into something horrific. Midnight just smirked at them, unfazed from their saddened looks.
Spike ran up to Midnight, being closely followed by Shining and Princess cadance. Rainbow shouted for them to stop but they did not listen to her, they finally had their Twilight back. But when they were about to engulf her in a hug, they felt magic over their bodies.
They screamed a little in pain and surprise. Spike’s purple scales were turning darker to the point where they were black and his spikes turned orange and he received two black wings. His eyes were the same as Midnight’s: blood red. Shining’s coat turned into a dark bluish greyish colour with his hair being the same but with white edges. He got the same cutie mark as the other demons. Cadances’ coat turned into a strange shade of purple and red with blue flowing mane and pink edges. Both of them got their chest plate with Queen Sunset Shimmer’s mark.
Celestia looked at what had happened with a horrified expression, she knew that Sunset had been upset but not to this scale. Was it Celestia’s fault? Maybe it was. But right now, she could not dwell on the past, she would have to fight this demonic thing to save her kingdom.
She rushed towards Sunset with her horn ready to fire off a spell that would do some damage to her former student. Her wings were slightly open in case she needed to take flight, but that would never come to be.
Sunset who was standing on her four hooves like true royalty just smirked at the former Princess of Equestria, she knew that Celestia was the former already. Sunset had won, her competition needed to know this on the other hoof.
Sunset dodged a spell from her former mentor and shot a spell of her own, a dark magic spell that hit Celestia’s chest. The former princess did not falter, however, and continued fighting the former student of hers.
They were both sweating, the air was hot and getting to them but neither Celestia nor Sunset reacted to this, however, as they in some way shape or form have a connection to the sun and the heat of it.
Sunset was cackling at Celestia, taunting her knowingly. She knew that if she taunted Celestai enough, she would get angry and become careless. The onlookers grinned and encouraged Sunset when she landed a hit on Celestia, much to the shock of the mane five. Rainbow Dash had tried to help her princess but she had been held back by the demons who glared at her with pure unstopped hatred.
Celestia was getting agitated by Sunset’s tauntings, she wanted to stop her former student from doing something bad but what could she do? Her former student has fallen from grace. Her former student wanted her locked up or worse …
Just when Celestia was getting inside of her thoughts, she was hit with a spell from Sunset that knocked her out. Celestia stopped for a brief few seconds and she swore that she saw Sunset smiling at her in a kind and gentle way.
The mane five shouted in shock and worry for their princess. How could princess Celestia fall like that? She was supposed to be Equestria’s strongest ruler there is. She could not have fallen from a demonic entity that knows nothing but anger and hatred. Sunset laughed victoriously and looked at her fellow demons and saw Princess Midnight not far from her and they smiled at each other. The nightmare was over, they did not have to worry about Celestia chasing after them. Speaking of Nightmare, Princess Luna had been injected with a sleeping drought that had been made by Luna herself for those who had a problem sleeping. Including herself, Luna was not immune to it either so she was on the floor asleep.
The mane five watched in horror as the demons carried the two princesses away as if they were criminals. Rainbow Dash was about to lash out but she bit back her remarks because she knew the consequences if she didn’t.
The mane five were surrounded by demons who stared at them with grins that showed their sadistic glee for seeing them defenseless and helpless. What could they do now? They did not have the elements with them and they had seen demons fly out the windows and slowly but surely taking over the entire kingdom. They looked at each other in horror as the one they had called friend was now their enemy.
And it was all their fault … was this the consequence of their betrayal? If so … they deserved it.
Fluttershy sniffed as she looked towards where princess Cadance was standing and tried to walk to her but she was pulled back by a demon who laughed at her attempt. But still, Fluttershy did not give up.
“Please! Princess Cadenza, me and my friends did do wrong but we did not know!” Fluttershy cried but the Cadance she knew was gone, the pony was not there anymore. The other four ponies cried for Fluttershy as they knew that they would be punished severely.
Midnight Sparkle laughed at her foolish attempts to persuade Cadenza. But she still wanted to be as fair as possible: Fluttershy would simply be doing time in the dungeons for a very long time while the other four she was unsure of. Twilight thought about her friends and then she realized something and she felt herself become shocked.
How could she have forgotten?! Moondancer! Her first friend was as studious as her! Midnight felt bad, the day she had been allowed to be persuaded by Celestia to go to Ponyville, Moondacer had a birthday party. Midnight smacked herself on the head a few times violently.
The mane five were lead away, shouting for Midnight to stop all of this.
“Twilight! You don’t have to do this! Let us gOOOOO!!” Rainbow Dash shouted and was out of nowhere smacked by a demon which hurt Rainbow Dash badly because it was on the nerve system on her wings.
Sunset glanced over to Midnight to see if she was alright. She had seen the change in the demeanor of her fellow future ruler. It was like she had realized something and was beating herself up over it.
Flash was about to comfort her and ask what was wrong when Midnight out of nowhere teleported herself away from them.

The darkness was covering the sky with an infinite sense of depression that could not be cured by any sort of medicine, be it pills, injections, or other activities like sport, art, and literature. Nothing could make any creature happy in this new world unless if they were demons and that is what Queen Sunset Shimmer and Princess Midnight Sparkle are there for, to help every demon settle down in this fantastic demonic world.
Midnight knew that her restoration in friendship with Moondancer might have been over ever since that day even in demonic form but Midnight at the very least wanted her to know how sorry she was for just disappearing like that and being a horrible friend.
She had been the princess of Friendship and she could not even remember Moondancer. How pathetic was that?
Midnight landed somewhere in the middle of Canterlot and she recognized immediately where she was. She started to walk over to Moondancer’s house, hoping that she was not being annoyed too much by all the screaming going on. Demons were flying all over the capital and the citizens were screaming in terror.
The demons who saw Midnight Sparkle bowed quickly to her and flew off intending on finding other ponies to turn into demonic beings.
Moondancer was very academical of her and had some degrees like Midnight but Midnight herself knew without a doubt that Moondancer probably have more academic achievements than Midnight, that was something Midnight was willing to vouch for. She just knew it.
When Midnight reached the house where Moondancer lived, She knocked on the door with gentleness. Midnight had told the demons through telepathy to not turn Moondancer into a demon because she wanted to do that personally for her friend if she wanted to. The demons gave their ‘Yes Princess Midnight Sparkle!’ and continued with their huntings.
The door to the front door opened which revealed a yellowish-coated mare with a black knitted shirt, black glasses, and purple eyes. Her hair was relatively similar to Twilight but she had a topknot on her red hair with light and dark purple streaks. When her eyes landed on Midnight, she wanted to scream bloody murder but she didn’t, she felt a sense of calm wash over her.
“W … Who are you?!” Moondancer demanded, ready to slam the door in Midnight’s face. The alicorn turned demon sighed and gave a soft smile to her friend, or former friend because she was pretty sure that Moondancer was pretty angry at her.
Instead of answering the question, Midnight gave Moondancer all of her memories from the last few years, hiding nothing. Midnight waited anxiously as she wondered what her response would be. Would Moondancer turn her away? Would she want to never see her again? What did she want?
“Midnight,” Moondancer said, remembering what her oldest friend wanted to be called nowadays. She smiled at her with watery eyes and hugged Midnight tightly. What Midnight did not realize when she showed the memories was that Moondancer could hear the memories of what Midnight was thinking. “I forgive you, I did hear that there was a kind of commotion between you and those liars but I just assumed that it was something that could be resolved. I was wrong.”
Midnight smiled, her tears falling down her cheeks, happy that she got her friend back. She would do everything in her power to help Moondancer and have fun with her like going to parties, studying, going out with friends. She would make Moondancer and her family a noble family, the highest there was.

“We are gathered here today to witness a marriage between two demons who have faced so much with each other. Princess Midnight Sparkle was once lied to and manipulated by a tyrannical ruler named Princess Celestia. She got five liars of friends who tried to corrupt her and even abandoned her when she called for their help. They did nothing to help them.” Queen Sunset Shimmer said, standing in front of every demon in her large kingdom.
Two weeks had passed since the coup and they were finally ready for the wedding of Princess Midnight Sparkle and future Prince Flash Sentry. The human turned demons CMC were the flower girls while Spike was the ring bearer. Snips and Snails from the human world were the best demons for Flash Sentry.
The demons growled at what they had just heard. Princess Midnight Sparkle is kind-hearted and has helped everyone in their glorious nation!
“Which is why we are gathered for her beautiful wedding!” Queen Sunset said, making the demons cheer. “Will you Princess Midnight Sparkle and you future Prince Flash Sentry accept each other as your wife and husband through death and beyond?”
Midnight and Flash sentry looked at each other in the eyes and they in unison said:
“Yes!”
Sunset smiled as she heard that. She knew those two would be good for each other. They had a true love for each other.
“Then you may kiss each other!” Sunset declared and the two lovers did just that. They kissed and every demon and demoness cheered. While Midnight’s eyes were closed she could not help but forget about what she had previously been thinking about which was when she would be able to battle Queen Chrysalis. But that would have to wait until later.
