Chapter the Twenty-Third: Hail to the King

Big Macintosh watched from the other side of the room as Fluttershy danced. She was magnificent in her movements, as was the snake coiled around her torso. He beamed as he thought about buying her. She could live with him and AJ, and between the three of them, they could carve out a pretty happy life here.

His attention was called away as a zebra mare walked up to him. He disappeared with her into a back room that had been set aside for exactly this purpose. As he entered, AJ exited the next room with another stallion. He wiped a blob of cum off his sister's cheek, and in response, she licked it off his finger.

As Big Mac disappeared, it was Applejack's turn to ogle Fluttershy as she danced. Part of her wished that she could dance that well. Only a small part, though, as most of her would prefer to be doing farm work. Regardless, she couldn't wait until they were together again, as the dance was very alluring.

Fluttershy noticed none of this, as her entire mind was occupied by her appreciation for the ophidian wrapped around her. She couldn't even remember where she was or why, she just kept dancing because he wanted her to.

"She's really into that snake," commented the envoy from Saddle Arabia. "Is that common among your dancers, King Hasani?"

"I like it," interjected the diplomat from Course. "It reminds me of the dragon worshiping tribes that migrate through our lands. Every time I see them, they're covered in scales. It's cute."

"Very seductive, yes..." chuckled the ambassador from Griffonstone. "I wouldn't mind sharing a bed with her."

"You're out of luck, my feathered peer," shrugged King Hasani. "She's to remain untouched, I want to make that clear."

"She's cherry?" The gryphon was shocked. "Mint condition at her age... How did that happen?"

"I didn't come all this way to hear you lust over a dancer, Ambassador Gala," groaned the Saddle Arabian envoy. "If you're so horned up, there's a mare waiting for you." He gestured to Applejack, who was running a comb through her mane. "A stallion, too, if you wait five minutes."

While the Coursican diplomat had a laugh at the joke, Gala was not amused. "It's that kind of offensive comment that starts wars, Ambassador Dapple. I wouldn't be surprised if you find that your borders suddenly shrink."

"Oh, come off it, Gala," waved the Coursican diplomat. "It's just a bit of fun. Besides, no one's going to say anything to your superiors. What happens on the dirty mattress stays on the dirty mattress."

"It's sick," growled Gala.

"We spread love regardless of gender," smiled Hasani. "No race nor sex is above our splendour."

"You would then be willing to give your crown to, say, a cow?"

"If my oldest child was a cow, then yes. But she's not, so I don't need to guess."

Gala stood and walked off. "Y'all are weird."

"I thought that was the point?" murmured Dapple. "If everyone was the same, why would we need foreign relations officers?"

Hasani chuckled. "Why don't you taste of our fruit, Dapple? I'm told the mare has a flavour of apples."

Dapple shook his head. "I may have joked with Galahad, but I think I would rather wait for the stallion. He's a tall drink of water, isn't he?"

Two hours passed before Fluttershy stopped dancing. She needed a rest, a bathroom break, and something to drink. She found Malak over by where Applejack and Big Mac were working. He took Jerome, and gave her a flute of white liquid. She drank it down, finding it to be a virgin pina colada. It was very refreshing.

"I can't believe I've never seen you dance before," smiled Applejack, hugging Fluttershy. "I'd be honored if you'd grace me with a private dance sometime."

"Oh, no you don't," interjected Big Mac. "You're not hogging her all to yourself. I want to see her dance, too."

"Both of you need to calm yourselves," chided Malak. "She's not a toy to put on your shelves. If you want to see her dance, you're going to need to change your stance."

Applejack lowered her head. "You're right. Sorry, Fluttershy. We don't want to make you uncomfortable."

Fluttershy picked up Applejack's chin and gently kissed her nose. "I forgive you. Maybe later, I'll dance for you both, but I'm a little tired and sore now. And I really have to pee." She finished her drink, handing the empty glass back to Malak. "I'll be right back."

She walked down the hall, finding her way to the lavatory with relative ease. It was a lovely room, befitting a grandiose palace such as this one. It even had an attendant, a mare she could only guess was seventeen years old. She wondered if she worked here all the time, or just for parties.

On her way back, she was stopped by a young mare. Fluttershy had seen her sitting next to King Hasani, and assumed that she was of some amount of import. She bowed low to this mare.

"You don't have to bow, miss," smiled the mare. "I'm not a noblemare, I'm just an envoy from Course."

Fluttershy stood back up, but kept her eyes low. "Was there something you needed, mistress?"

"No need to be so formal, either," she chuckled. "I was just wondering what your thoughts were on living here in the capitol. You do live here, yes?" Fluttershy nodded sheepishly. "How do you like it?"

"It's not so bad, really," answered Fluttershy. "When I was brought here, I thought it was all going to be run down buildings full of brutes who would derive joy from hurting me, but that hasn't really been true. I don't know if that's true in all cases, maybe I'm just lucky."

"Where did you live before you came here?"

"Ponyville."

"Never heard of the place."

"It's not far from Canterlot, if that helps. Right in the middle of Equestria."

The mare nodded. "I see. I know where I recognize you from, now. A blue pegasus with a rainbow mane asked if I had seen you."

Fluttershy's heart skipped a beat. "Rainbow Dash is looking for me?" She was about to ask this mare to send back a message, but then she remembered Applejack's concerns. "If it's all the same to you, could you forget you saw me here?"

"Is she trouble?"

Fluttershy shook her head. "She's a very close friend. I don't want to hurt her, but right now is not the best time to tell her all that's happened. When the time is right, I'll talk to her. Hopefully, by then, I'll have figured out what I want to say to her."

"I hope you do so. She was really worried about you." The mare placed a hand on Fluttershy's shoulder. "Thank you for your time, sweetie. It's been fun."

With a turn she walked off, leaving Fluttershy alone. She was happy to hear that Rainbow Dash was so worried about her, but at the same time, she hoped that her friends weren't running themselves ragged looking for her. Her thoughts were interrupted as a pair of claws grabbed her from behind and covered her mouth.
