Rainbow Dash wailed in pain as the red hot nails were driven into her back hooves. For the past half an hour, torture happened to her. The worst pain imaginable was thought to be eaten alive. But Rainbow knew better than that. The worst pain of it all wasn't the fact that her best friend who she had know for almost a decade was about to murder her. Not by a long shot. The worst part of it, asides from the pain, was that Pinkie was completely sane. Not a slither of sanity had been lost. "Pinkie..." Rainbow choked up. "I wanna go home.." She turned around, dropping the knife in her mouth on the table besides her. It was small and wooden, but also covered in murder tools, such as knives, syringes, and scalpels of varying different sizes. "Oh, Dashie. We both know going home isn't an option for any of us. Sometimes you gotta face the storm head on!" Rainbow just wailed in pain, letting a cry of pain exit what little oxygen she had left. As if putting the scolding hot nails weren't bad enough, removing them hurt worse. Rainbow screamed in pain once more, this time a bit more louder than before. Pinkie threw the nails into a big tub of water, letting them cool down. Then, she grabbed the one thing that Rainbow hoped she didn't. The shockers. She hooked one up to each of her back legs, which was followed by a pinch of electricity. Rainbow didn't even care anymore. She just wanted it to be over. Dying a coward wasn't the way she wanted to go, but after all, she had no energy left and she was strapped down to a board with metal. "I've got to admit, Dashie," Pinkie said, as nothing around her phased the pink party mare at all. "You've lasted longer than anypony I've ever had fun with!" Rainbow looked at her wearily as if to say 'get on with it already!'. "...But I see we both know where this night's heading, huh? You're going to die and I'm going to get paid, simple as." Rainbow panted for breath in her restraints. Pinkie walked towards the power box that was hanging near the end of the room. Rainbow braced for impact as Pinkie turned the handle without a glance back or a second thought. Surprisingly, no voltage came. That's when Twilight bucked the door down to a sight she never would of expected, much less from Pinkie. The pink mare grabbed a knife that was lodged in the wall from one her previous encounters. "Twilight, back off! Just let me do what I need to do, then we'll talk this out, okay?" Twilight looked at mare, who she once called a friend, now cutting apart one of their friend for a sick thrill. And for what? "Pinkie, I'm going to have to ask you to put the knife down and come with me, alright?" She laughed before charging the lavender Alicorn, who had no other choice but to blast the mare across the room. She collided with the table that was there and no movement happened, just the sound of metal hitting floor and some attempts to gasp for air, before silence. Twilight rushed to the planks that were holding down the pony she loved more than life itself. Undoing the metal straps was easy. The sight however was not. Rainbow's ear had been partially carved, leaving a sizeable hole on the side of it. Her flanks had been sliced off the skin, and what remained of them were discarded in a bucket, along with her dismembered wings. She picked the bucket up with her mouth and let the pegasus onto her back. Still alive, but hardly. If she wanted Rainbow to live, which she did, she had to move and she had to move fast. Ponyville Hospital, 1 hour later. Nurse Redheart walked through the ER doors and up to the Alicorn, who was already straight up. "Is she going to live, Doc?" Was the first question she had to ask. The nurse looked at her clipboard, and nodded. "Miss Dash will survive, but the trauma will most likely stay forever. You brought her in at the right time, Princess. If you had brought her in a minute sooner, she would of most likely...." She paused when the Alicorn was about the cry. "I get it, Doc. What about her injuries?" Nurse Redheart looked at her clipboard once again. "Her ear will heal up in no time, cutie marks will heal up fast and clean, but I wish I could say the same things about her wings." Twilight was about to cry. "W-what about them, Doc?" she was hesitant to ask that question, but she knew it had to be asked nonetheless. "We couldn't fix them. The tissue was too damaged, plus the wings were cut off directly at the bone. Miss Dash will never fly again." One doctor walked through the doors, going for Nurse Redeart. "She's woken up. She's going to live." Twilight let out a tear. "Can I visit her? She's going to need help, mentally and physically." Nurse Redheart nodded. "I don't see why not. Though, be careful with the poor dear, will you?" Twilight looked back and nodded. "I will." Rainbow was curled up, crying. With the events that just happened, who could blame her. Twilight opened the door to hear the tears flowing. She pulled up a chair and wrapped a hoof around the cyan mare. She stopped crying for a moment and froze. "Don't worry, Dashie. I'm here for you." Rainbow turned around and hugged the Alicorn with both hooves, crying openly. "Twi, I'm scared! I don't have a home anymore, I don't have a job, one of my best friends is dead and I'm all alone!" Twilight smiled. "Not anymore you're not! You're living with me from now on." Rainbow looked at Twilight's messed up mane and baggy eyes and just now realised how much she had came in the past 2 hours. All the blood and tears were too much for Rainbow to handle. She felt her head lay down on the hospital pillow, shortly followed by a hoof running along her face. Even with her eyes closed, she could tell it was Twilight.
