It was a regular day in Summer Flight Camp, the coach had us do 'mandatory exercises' like wing stretches and 15 meter runs a couple times as well as that while flying, after we got done with the warm-ups I noticed that I had forgotten to take my lucky sweatband with me and tried flying back to the locker room to pick it up.
While I was flying back however, I overheard a conversation between two colts bullying Fluttershy for her flight skills, I flew over there in front of Fluttershy to defend her honor.
"Leave Her, Alone!"
"Ooh, and just what are you gonna do about it Rainbow Crash?"
"Keep making fun of her and find out!"
"You think you're such a big shot Crash? Why don't you prove it?"
"Just what did you have in mind?"
~ Prologue ~
They said that the three of us were going to have a race to see which one of us was the fastest Pegasus here, not backing down from a challenge, I gladly accepted.
Fluttershy was the starter holding a checkered flag in her mouth ready to wave us off, doing some warm-ups I prepared for the race in anticipation to show those bullies who's the best.
The flag held upwards me and the bullies got into position and opened our wings prepared for what happened next.
As the flag went down, the three of us zipped through the sky and past the start of the course, passing through several hoops made from clouds I could feel the wind on my face and through my mane, I liked it! I liked it a lot.
Passing through more hoops on another part of the course, I could feel something bump into me, to my half-surprise it was one of the two colts who challenged me. He gave me a farewell salute and before flying off he said " Heh, Later Rainbow Crash!" and needless to say I was pissed.
"HEY!"
The Colt was flying downwards to one of the final parts of the course and I rushed after him, I flew so fast even that he was thrown off course into Celestia-knows-where. When nearing the Final ring, I was going so fast that I had a Mach Cone surrounding me and the very moment I dove down and flew up that's when it happened.
Something I had once thought to simply be just an old mare's tale was actually real, zooming through the sky at the speed of sound, I knew I had made the once thought impossible possible. The Legendary Sonic Rainboom itself.
Flying through the finish line, I made one trip to complete the Rainbow Trail before landing down on the Finish Area.
What I saw next surprised me, I apparently flew so fast that I got my Cutie Mark, a white cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt consisting of the colors red, yellow and blue. "My Cutie Mark, I got my Cutie Mark!" I said ecstaticly, not only had I gotten my Cutie Mark, but it just so happened to be one of the coolest marks ever. 'This day will go down in the History books, I just know it.'
"Rainbow Daaaaash!"
"Oh right, Flight Practice..."
Fluttershy
Skies above Ponyville
Falling down below the cloud layer, I started screaming for my life fearing the worst as I flailed my legs in fear hoping it would slow my descent. After what felt like an hour, I felt myself land upon something soft as I opened my eyes to see I had landed on a swarm of butterflies, as they carried me off flapping their adorable little wings one flew in front of me as I started to sing.
"What is this place filled with so many wonders? Casting its spell, that I am now under?"
"Squirrels in their trees, and the cute little bunnies. Birds flying free, and Bees with their honey."
"HOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEEYYYYYY!"
"Oh, what a magical place, and I owe it all to the Pegasus Race. If I knew the ground had so much up it's sleeve, I'd have come here sooner and never leave!"
"Yes I love, EVERYTHIIIIIIIIIIING!"
As soon as I had finished singing I felt a boom from behind me and looked up to see a Rainbow Contrail fly overhead as I stared in awe, 'Rainbow Dash?' I pondered.
Seeing the animals reactions to the disturbances, I made my way over to the nearby bush that a group of rabbits were hiding in as I coaxed them out, "Shh, It's okay."
Knocking on one of the nearby trees using my hoof, I then stuck my face into the hole as I spotted some squirrels, "You can come out."
I then made my way to a nearby pond and sucked in a breath, ducking my head in I coaxed out a group of frogs, "Everything's okay."
And finally, flying above I spotted a few ducks hiding amongst the clouds, "There's nothing to be afraid of."
Bringing all the animals over to a soft patch of land, I flew down and sat myself down as I looked over all of my new friends.
Applejack
Manehattan, Equestria
After fixing myself up, I went into one of the spare bedrooms and sighed at the window as the sun shone over the horizon, "Cock-A-Doodle Doo... I wonder what Granny Smith and Big Macintosh are up to? I bet they're bucking away through the Red Delicious trees. Oh, what I wouldn't get for just one bite." I teared up from homesickness until I saw a Rainbow trail from the sky pointing to home.
Realizing what I needed to do, I ran out the hotel room as I made my long way back to Sweet Apple Acres.

Somewhere in Equestria
After what felt like several days worth of travel, I finally stopped moving as I hit something and fell to the ground.
I rubbed my eyes and looked up to see a large obelisk-like rock standing in front of me as I peered at it intently before shouting, "A ROCK?! That's my destiny?" I glance up at my horn, "What is your problem horn, I follow you all the way out here for a rock?" I growled angrily, "Dumb rock!"
Just then I heard a rumble trotting away as a Rainbow trailed across the sky as the rock cracked open revealing many, many shiny and glimmering gemstones hidden inside as I gasped in excitement, "I can use these gems for my costumes! They'll be just perfect!" I soon grabbed as many of them as I could levitate as I made my trek back to Ponyville.

"I'm sorry I wasted your time."
Just after I finished speaking, I felt an intense vibration behind me as my horn lighted up and hatched the dragon egg.
I screamed, feeling a surge of energy burst from my body as I started surging magic out of my body unable to control it.
One burst of energy held the four judges in midair, another turned my parents into potted plants and the last one turned the newly born baby dragon into a much bigger version of himself.
Just as soon as I thought it would continue to get worse, I felt a hoof touch me from behind as I saw Princess Celestia standing behind me with a calm expression on her face. The surge of magical energy then soon disbursed itself away reverting everything back to normal as Princess Celestia spoke, "Twilight Sparkle,"
I apologized, "I'm so sorry- I"
"You happen to have a very special gift, I don't think I've ever come across a Unicorn with your raw abilities." Princess Celestia spoke in approval
"Huh?" I said aghast
"But you need to tame these abilities through focused study."
"Huh?"
Princess Celestia spoke, "Twilight Sparkle, I'd like to make you my own personal protégé here at the school."
"HUH?!"
"Well, do you accept?" She asked me
I saw my parents nod in approval, and turned back giving my answer, "YES!"
"One other thing, Twilight." The Princess interjected
"More?"
Falling to the ground she pointed to my flank, "My Cutie Mark!" I then bounded around her in glee, "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!"

Pie Family Rock Farm, Rockville, Western Equestria BNM
It all started out as a mostly normal day on the Pie Family Rock Farm, Maud, Limestone and Marble were shifting rocks per usual over from the south field to the east field.
You may as well be asking, 'Where is Pinkie in all of this?' Well... to explain that, we need to go over an event from Yesterday that caused her to be ridden Bedsick.
Afternoon Prior to the Sonic Rainboom
Pinkamena and Limestone were taking a break from working in the field as they both sat at the Family table to eat, Pinkamena was eating some apples while Limestone had been eating some toast with strawberry jam.
While Pinkie was busy chowing down on her snack, Limestone spoke up and made a smug look as she said, "Hey, bet you can't eat that core."
Pinkie scrunched up her face in frustration replying, "Says you I can't eat the core!"
"Why don't you prove it then, you wont!" Limestone snarked back
"Oh yeah?" Pinkie spoke up, "I'll show you, I'll eat every. last. one. You got that?" As soon as she finished speaking, she started chewing on one of the apple cores as she gulped it down and smirked. "Ha! Point 1 for Pinkie, Limestone 0."
"Ut tut tut, not so fast." Limestone quipped back, "You said you'd eat every last apple core, pony up and be a mare sis. Unless of course, you're chicken?"
Pinkie gasped, "I am not a chicken! I'll show you!"
Pinkie started eating every apple and apple core whole to prove her point, after about 15 minutes had passed she started to feel sick and passed out on the floor with her hoof planted on her tummy.
Back to the Present
Maudileena was seen flicking a rock with her hoof as she sighed, looking over to Limestone and Marble, she could see they were over by the front door as they made their way inside as they'd been called in by their mother. She sighed again as she thought, 'If only something exciting would happen right now.'
Just then, the whole farm felt like it was hit by an Earthquake as a spectrum of Red and Orange Light carved away the dark clouds overhead and the wind pelted away quick enough that it caused her hair to poof up as she saw a Rainbow stretch across the sky.
Maud had the absolute biggest grin she's ever had on her face as she stared at the multicolored spectrum with intense excitement, then after a brief moment the contrail dissipated in the air as Maud had a burst of inspiration setting her way on to making her family smile.
Pinkamena's Bedroom
Early Morning after the Sonic Rainboom
"I still cannot believe thou did such a foolhardy thing," Igneous spoke. "I am very disappointed with you, mine daughter."
Pinkie groaned, her stomach aching, "I-I'm sorry daddy, I-I"
Igneous sighed, "Thou art staying here Pinkamena, I will procure an antacid for you. I shant trust thou would be able to stand in thy condition."
Igneous left the room as Pinkie's stomach grumbled, "Uuugh, it's huuurty. Daddy, come back, pleeease." Her stomach gurgled as she groaned ever more, "S-stupid Limestone, why d-did I ever agree to t-thiiis?"
Pie Family Rock Farm
Igneous was making his way downstairs to the medicine cabinet, when he heard his wife from outside call out, "Maudileena Daisy Pie! Is that you?"
The voice of his eldest daughter rang out as she spoke, "Mom! I need you and Dad and the sisters to come in here, quick!"
Igneous was going to abject at first, no way he would leave Pinkamena lying ill in bed, then came a thought, 'Maybe just a brief moment wouldn't hurt.' as he made his way outside almost bumping into his wife and startled her.
"Oh, Sweet Celestia!" shouted Cloudy Quartz
This startled the two fillies as Limestone spoke up, "Mom?"
Igneous spoke up to relieve the situation, "Fear not young'uns, t'is only me."
Cloudy Quartz rose to her hooves as she spoke, "Forgive me dearest, I did not see you come out. I just wanted to inform thou of-"
"Do not fret dear, I overheard you and Maudileena from inside. Thou needn't worry." Igneous spoke with a grin on his face as he kissed his wife on the lips whilst she returned the gesture.
The two fillies gagged at what they saw, Limestone speaking out, "Ee-yuck. Blegh."
The Stallion chuckled as they broke the kiss making their way, alongside Marble and Limestone over to the nearby silo.
Pinkamena
Pinkamena continued to groan, "D-daddy please, it hurts so much! P-please h-help."
There was no response, just the sound of wind as her stomach gurgled louder. Pinkamena couldn't take it anymore as she got to her hooves and shakily made her way over to the bedroom door.

After stumbling a few times, she finally made her way to the staircase. Holding the guard rail, she eased her way down slowly until she tripped on something halfway down the staircase and fell on her face groaning, "Owwww..." shakily making her way over to the medicine cabinet, she pulled out the bottle of antacid and opened the top dumping the gummy vitamin in her hoof and chewed it whole.
Pinkie smiled, "Mmm, Fruity!" She then heard the sound of music playing as she pondered what could be making it, 'Where's it coming from? Outside?' Pinkie thought. She then made her way outside over towards the source of the noise as the sound got louder and louder.
The Silo
Their lips all quivered until all off the Pie Family sans Pinkamena smiled with intense jubilation.
Maudileena smiled as well gasping in excitement, "You do like it!"
They all start dancing with each other as Maud shouts, "I'm just so happy!"
As soon as she finishes speaking, a flash of light surrounded her flanks as what appeared on them shocked everypony around her. Maud looked down and saw three party balloons on her flank with two being blue with yellow strings and one being in reversed order.
Maud gasped at the revelation as she shouted, "M-my Cutie Mark. I got my Cutie Mark!"
Meanwhile Outside
Pinkamena had been peeking through a crack in the doorway overhearing her eldest sister shouting. As she was about to walk inside, Limestone deadpanned, "Hey, where's Pinkie? Is she still sick in bed like a dog or is she gonna be here?"
Igneous' eyes widened as he planted a hoof into his forehead sighing, "Fret not, I will go get her."
Pinkie's eyes widened as he headed for the front door, she scooted away to the stage right area around the silo hiding as somepony cried out to her father with urgency.
"Igneous, we have a problem here!"
