It was another cold and winter day at Canterlot high school, and the girls were getting for the hoildays. Some students had plans to visit family, others had plans to do nothing. For the girls, they were sorta in the middle....
The halls were filled with lovely decorations to represent Hearth's warming (If they even called it that). And they students were talking to their friends, which brings us to Sunset and her friends.
"So Sunset, what are you planning to do for Hearth's warming?" Twilight asked.
"Well, I am planning to go back to Equestria to visit the other Twilight. It has been awhile since my last trip."
"That's nice! I'm planning to watch over the animals from the animal shelter. I don't want to let them be alone!" Fluttershy said in her normal shy voice.
"Please! I thought we were gonna have Hearth's warming together! Come on Fluttershy!" Rainbow dash said, scaring Fluttershy a little.
"Now come on Rainbow. Be reasonable. If she ain't wanna spend time with ya, accept it, and move along! Ya hear me? Or ya got cider in your ears?" Applejack said to Rainbow, which in all honesty kinda made her a little.... ticked.
Rarity on the other hand, was still lost in her own thoughts, trying to come up with a new dress for Hearth's warming..... again.
"Hey Rarity, you okay? You seem to be lost in your thoughts.... again. Don't tell me your-" Twilight was cut short by Rarity's words.
"Yes darling. These dresses have to be perfect for Hearth's warming! You can't expect me not to be lost in my thoughts!"
"Right. Sorry about that. Is that all your gonna do? I mean, don't you have other plans?" Twilight asked.
"No... not really. Sweetie belle is staying over at at Apple bloom's house with Scootaloo, so that's a good sign. What about you? Going to just spend the entire day reading?"
"Nope! I'm planning to read and spend some time with Spike! That's at least something!" Twilight said with loads of confidence. She was sure that would teach Rarity something!..... Or not.
After school, Rarity was walking home by her self, much eager to get home to get started on the dresses for her friends!
As she was walking past an alleyway, she heard a few noises. Ones that scared her a little. She heard the sound of chattering teeth, and breathing as well. So, she slowly walked over to the alleyway, proceeding with cation.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" Rarity asked.
"G-go away! No one's here! J-just your imagination! Shoo!" The person said. The voice sounded like a boy, so Rarity ruled Princess Twilight out. But who could this person be?
"Please! I'm only here to help!"
"NO! The only one who can help me is Azan! No one else!" Then, the stranger began to cry. Rarity had no idea why, but this random person was just crying and crying, and didn't seem like they were going to stop.
Then, the person came out from hiding, and Rarity wished that they didn't. This person was not from this world, but how did they end up here?
The person had ears looking like the girl's ponied up version, had two tails on his back, had hedgehog quills for hair and for his back. He also had a pointy nose as well.
"Just.... take me to your house please. I can't bare to stay out here longer."
Now Rarity was confused. This person is now asking to bring him to her house, and he hadn't even told her his name! What was going on?
Finally, Rarity decided to bring to person, mutant, to her house. Which in all honesty, wasn't that far from the alleyway.
"Alright..... let's go. I don't wanna see you like this darling." Rarity said.
"Hey... thanks for finding me in the alleyway. I've been stuck there for hours on end. My name is Surn. What's yours?"
"Name's Rarity, and your welcome. I am a bit surprised though. How did you end up here?" Rarity asked surn.
Surn frowned. "That.... is gonna be a very sad story, but do you have any spare clothes? Cause mine are wet."
Rarity slapped her forehead. This was gonna be a long day.....

A short chapter!
Another cold day had passed in Rarity's house, and Surn wasn't getting any smarter. He still didn't understand what "Hearth's Warming" was.
"Hearth's Warming..... Hearth's warming......" Surn was saying quietly to himself.
"Gee. Darling, if your gonna say that all day, then I recommend you go someplace else as I am trying to concentrate here!" Rarity said, clearly annoyed about Surn repeating the same words over, and over, and over again.
"Yeesh! I'm just trying to remember the name of the holiday that you all celebrate!" Surn said back to Rarity as he went over to his room. He began to say Hearth's warming again, but this time, s bit more quieter then last time.
"If I can't say it loudly, I'll just say it so that Rarity wont hear me. Easy as pie." Surn said out loud.
Rarity listened to Surn to see if he had gone quiet. Turns out, he did, allowing her to work in peace.
What's.... Hearth's warming?
The next day, Rarity had begun to work on her Hearth's warming dresses for her friends. She had to make them with absolutely no distractions, or she might mess up the entire dress.
"Easy.... easy.....-"
She was startled by Surn's yawing, and therefore, messed up the dress.
"Good morning Rarity." Surn said as he was doing his morning stretches.
Don't get mad.... don't get mad.... "Oh hello Surn. Nice to see your awake!" Rarity replied.
Surn smiled. He looked over at Rarity's desk to find a dress there. "Why are you making a dress? You already have tons." Surn asked curiously.
"Oh, This? This isn't for me darling! This is for my friends as a Hearths warming gift! I do it every year, but the never come out the way I want them to!" Rarity said.
"What's.... Hearth's warming?" Surn asked.
Rarity looked at Surn like he was some piece of trash. "You don't know what Hearth's warming is?! Where have you been? Living under a rock?"
"For the first 5 years of my life, yes. So watch your mouth." Surn replied.
"Well allow me to tell you what Hearth's warming is!...."
15 minutes later.....
"And that's what Hearth warming is about! Questions?"
"I do! I still don't get what Hearth's warming is!" Surn said, still confused 15 minutes later.
Rarity slapped her forehead. "You still don't get it?! Ugh. Let me tell you again...."

Surn's sad story.
Told by Surn him self.
It was another fine day at me and Azan's house. The two of us were having some fun watching some memes. We love to laugh together, so that's what we did.
"It's snowing a lot out there. Are you sure we got eveything inside like Mystith said?" Azan asked.
"Of course! I even brought your inventions back in the house!"
"You mean yours? Ha! You silly guy!" Azan said as noggied my head.
Azan was always kind to me. He helped me in everything I did. He was that kind.
Mystith then came in the room. Tiku left days ago to help Tikusen from the massive blizzard coming their way. So it was only Mystith, Azan and me. The three of us always had the best times ever!.... Till today.
"Azan, I could use your help in the fire room. The burst wisps are acting weird.... again." Mystith asked.
Azan groaned. The burst wisps are his least favorites. They burn him to ashes all the time.
"Fiiiiine. But if they burn me, that's on you!" Azan said, obviously irritated.
Mystith looked over at me. But she didn't even smile at me. Instead, she frowned at me!
"As for you Surn, come with me." She said. So I followed her to the portal room, and I didn't even know why.
"As you know Surn, you did save Banditvill and Tikucen from their end. However, you did join the dark side to do so. And in that case, you are here by evicted from this world. And striped from your title: Surn the ultimate!" She said.
"Mystith! You can't do this! You and I both know Tiku would never allow that!" I said, trying to defend my self.
Then Azan came in. "Actually, Tiku and Bandit agreed this this was the best thing to do. Sorry Surn."
And then, I was unconscious. And I ended up in the alleyway you found me in. I stayed there for at least 5 hours. Cold. Alone.

Rarity's jaw drooped. She never knew that Surn went through all of that. She felt bad for Surn, so she allowed him to stay with her. Now, if only Sweetie belle found out about this....
