Author's Note

Note: I do not ship Twilight with Discord. I think she's perfect for Sunset Shimmer. But I do in fact ship Discord and Chrysalis, and previously shipped Fluttercord, which turned into Flutterdash! Despite being asexual aromatic in real life, I still like the shipping of characters, straight and LGBT.

Chapter 5: Her Highness's Saviour

About 10 minutes later, Twilight saw a flash of light. At first, she shook it off, thinking that because of her weakened state, she had begun to fantasise hallucinations. But no. It was real alright. The flash of light slowly became a faint snap and Discord immediately appeared. Her vision was hazy, but she could blurrily see the image of Discord.

"Trixie, I believe you've made your bargain with something of mine," Discord said.

"You! You're that draconequus that was easily fooled by Fluttershy!" Trixie said, "Me and Twilight go way back, trust me. And it wasn't pretty."

"What does that matter? You nearly committed murder!" Discord cried, "And Starlight will forgive you how for killing Equestria's princess?"

"I didn't kill her fully, mind you," Trixie said, "Though I did have the intention to. But she's too much for my power."

"Your power?" Discord said.

"The endless power I've always dreamed of having! With the pathetic excuse of a princess finally unable to get up and fight, I win in the end. Equestria is mine, admit it to your naïve shit view! Hell, you've grown so fucking soft since we first met!" said Trixie, "Oh, and try and save her. I fucking dare you, dickhead. It won't fucking work!"

"Oh, you'll see," Discord said, "Combined with the magic of friendship, anything can happen."

"Point taken I guess," Trixie remarked in a sarcastic manner, "Don't say I told you so."

Discord took Twilight in his arms and quickly they transported out of Waterfall Private Training Grounds and to Ponyville Hospital, where Twilight was sure to recover.

Meanwhile at the battlefield, Trixie paced around in a frenzy, unable to distinguish if she was angry or just overwhelmed with defeat. Or was the depression creeping into her soul at that very moment? She didn't know.

She had no idea what she was feeling, but she suddenly realised that she felt remorse for Twilight Sparkle and wanted to right her wrongs, no matter how much she hated her. But now that hate was spiraling into something far more settling after Discord showed up.

The psychopathic tendencies in her and at this point she had no control over her obsession over avenging Twilight and wanting to be noticed. But what she didn't realise was this: Trixie did not need endless power to be noticed. Starlight liked her just fine and that was enough. But what about poor Twilight?

As Trixie began digging deeper into her actions, her rage turned into sadness and regret.

"I hope Twilight will be willing to forgive me and get rid of her grudge," Trixie said, "I just can't live like this anymore!"
