Chapter 7: Checking in On Twilight

Trixie transported herself to Ponyville Hospital, where all the ponies stared at her. This made her uncomfortable, but she knew what she was there to do.

"Anypony know where Princess Twilight is staying?" Trixie asked timidly.

"Aren't you the pony we heard about that almost killed her?" said one.

"No way she'll want to see you now, despite how forgiving she is," said another.

"Bullshit," Trixie said, "I know the Princess of Friendship better than any of you. Sure, we've had our differences in the past and now I've made a terrible mistake. If I don't make this right now, there's no way she'll even consider helping me!"

"It takes a bold pony to own up to his or her or their mistakes," said one.

"Somepony will be with you shortly," said another.

So Trixie waited for a medical professional to emerge. A minute passed and she was greeted by a white earth pony wearing a surgical mask.

"Hi, you must be Trixie Lulamoon. Yes, the notorious mare who's all over Ponyville Newshour!" she chirped.

"Stop with the facade," Trixie said, "You don't have to pretend to like me."

"I'm not faking," said the pony wearing the mask.

Trixie followed the doctor until they reached a room, the door indicating that this was Room 111 on the second floor. She studied the door as she used her magic to open it. The door was covered in some sort of red liquid. Trixie hesitated, wanting to investigate. It surely wasn't blood, was it? Trixie neared closer.

"Are you OK, dearie?" asked the doctor.

"Why does the door to this room have blood on it?" Trixie asked.

"I can't say to why exactly," she replied.

"Well, goodbye. I'm going to see Twilight," Trixie said, "Thank you for the directions to the Celestia awful looking room."

Trixie entered the room to see Twilight lying on the hospital bed, drenched in a pool of blood. She looked around the room and then saw the Mane 6, Spike, and Starlight. She even saw her adoptive sons : Snips and Snails!

"Ma, why couldn't you control yourself?" asked Snips.

"Yeah! We're scared outta our wits!" Snails cried.

She immediately sat beside Snips and Snails, whispering an apology into their ears as she embraced them. "I'm very sorry. I didn't think any of this through! I-I was just acting on instinct, unaware of the damage I've caused to Equestria and my friends all around me," Trixie said, "Especially you two. I haven't been a good example, so from now on, I can't guarantee that I won't make any more mistakes, but I will try my best."

"Trixie, is that you?" Twilight said, opening up her eyes.

Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack cheered. So did Starlight and Spike. Everypony gathered around Twilight, glad that she was alright. They glanced over at Trixie icily.

"No, guys! You don't understand!" Trixie cried, "It's alright!"

"We should've turned your motherfucking arse to stone a long time ago!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

"Rainbow Dash, please! Hear me out!" Trixie said.

"And why should we listen to you after you betrayed me?" Starlight shouted.

Trixie broke down and cried. "Snips and Snails, remember me. Close your eyes. It'll all be over soon."

She used her magic to grab the sharpest tool she could find in the hospital room.

"What are you doing with that? Y-you can't use the tools we use for patients!" cried the nurse attending to Twilight.

"Ma, don't!" Snips and Snails cried.

"Shut your eyes and it'll all be over soon!" Trixie said, more fiercely this time.

Sticking the tool into her hoof like a knife, she watched it bleed before her eyes.

"Next thing you do to hurt me, the more stay hidden and will never get out of this never-ending hole!" Trixie said, inserting it once again and continuing to cut herself. "Fuck you for never taking the time to understand me! I finally feel like shit and all you give me back is shit! Is this how I'm supposed to learn friendship?"

She looked at Twilight with genuine concern in her eyes. "I came here because I realised that I shouldn't have let my emotions get the best of me. But I guess I'll just stay endless forever."

So, Trixie went to the red-stained door and burst out of the room in tears. Searching around for a place to hide, she scurried to the mare's restroom. Blood dripped from her hooves and into the toilet from the deep cuts.
