For Shining Armor and Princess Cadance, ruling over the Crystal Empire carries far more responsibilities than either of them would've imagined. Along with overseeing their shimmering city, the couple also have to tend to their young daughter as parents, while also trying to make a second foal. Not to mention, they also have to deal with the attempted reformation of two villains locked under probation in their very castle: King Sombra, and Queen Chrysalis.

Even though the arrangement was... awkward to say the least, enough time had passed for Shining and Cadance to handle the nullified ex-villains without much outside interference. In fact, as the fall season arrived in the Crystal Empire, Shining Armor was gracious enough to celebrate the autumn weather by gifting many of the castle staff free pumpkin spice lattes. And along with his wife, Shining also had some cups for Chrysalis and Sombra as well.

Unfortunately, as soon as Shining left his own latte alone unattended, Princess Cadance decided to "help" in their attempted baby-making by spiking the drink with some powerful aphrodisiacs.

Sombra, who had been determined to lay with the stallion himself, also laces Shining's latte with aphrodisiacs without Cadance knowing.

And Chrysalis, who was more content with making Shining squirm for her entertainment, also spikes Shining's cup without either of the others seeing her.

Unfortunately, none of them were aware that Shining had a big speech that day.
