Dragonbourne

The shadow formed Spike went out into the night, hatred burning it's core, as it looked down at it's body. "Not evolved enough yet, I still need a vehicles vessel to channel what little energy I have." The Shadow being growled, as it used the shadow's of the night to form a motorcycle similar to Johnny Blaze's Ghost Rider bike, but instead of this bike being covered in flames, it was covered in shadow. With chain's wrapped around his body, this being wanted to seek vengeance on what had happened to Rarity, as it drove off into the night, while lightly bouncing on the motorcycle, and laughing psychotically.

The Shadow went to Las Pegasaus nightclub which not only had the gem, but also had the pony mob boss inside. Fancy Pant's was sitting in his office with The Dragonbourne gem in hand. He had what he wanted, and thank's to using the mare Rarity, the money he stole from her would now fuel his empire even more. At the front entrance of Fancy Pant's nightclub, the two mob ponies made sure everything would appear ok, while the underworld empire would remain a secret. The sound of a motorcycle was heard approaching them, as the shadow, transformed Spike drove at full speed's, a shadow shotgun forming in his hand's.

The guard's attempted to pull out their machine gun's ready for action, but didn't even have a chance to fire, as their head's were splattered against the wall from the powerful gunshot's. All of the people in the nightclub let out scream's seeing the motorcycle break into the club, and come to a halt. The shadow transformed Spike, got off his bike, as another shadow shotgun formed in his hand. Floor, by floor, step by step, the shadow being killed everyone with it's powerful shotgun's. Gunfire rocked the nightclub, blood splattering, and smearing the wall's from the powerful shot's that made the bodies explode.

Many who tried to attack back whether it being melee weapon's, or gun's were literally blow to bit's, none of them being able to gun down the intruder. Fancy Pant's heard the entire commotion outside, and heard it getting close to his office. He quickly reached beneath a drawer, and pulled out a pistol, as he pointed it at the door. He trembled.....hearing the footstep's approach, until the shadow ,transformed Spike, kicked down the door's, aiming both shotgun's at him. Fancy Pant's fired a single bullet, but it went through the Shadow being's body like he was a ghost.

"Not strong enough yet, an advantage I can have...for now" The Shadow being spoke before raising one of his shotgun's, and squeezing the trigger, blowing off Fancy Pant's hand that held the gun.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!" Fancy Pant's screamed in agony, as he clutched the stub where his hand was now missing. The Shadow fired another shot, which blew off his leg, as a higher pitched scream echoed from Fancy Pant's who fell to the ground whimpering in pain, as he looked up at the shadow with pure terror in his eye's.

"W-W-What do you want from me?" Fancy Pant's asked, as The Shadow being pointed the gun to his head.

"I am Vengeance.....you are guilty, for hurting her.....vengeance....must....be.....DELIVERED!!!!!!!!" The being roared, as Fancy Pant's high pitched scream hit the air before a powerful gunshot rang through the building, as the remain's of Fancy Pant's was splattered against the wall. The shadow transformed Spike lowered his weapon's before powering down, as he grabbed The Dragonbourne gem, and was about to head out, until he bumped into a certain pony he never expected to see, and that pony.....was Blueblood.

The Shadow being pulled out his shotgun to kill him, but Bluebood pulled out a picture that showed Blueblood's grandfather, his parent's, and Spike's father. "Thank goodness Dragonbourne, you here" Blueblood sighed, as the Shadow form powered down, as he spoke.

"How do you know I'm the Dragonbourne" The shadow asked, as Blueblood explained.

"It was foretold that you would be the one who would free me, I can't believe I had to act like a selfish prick these past few days to not only infiltrate Fancy Pant's mafia, but also know it would be you who would bring justice" Blueblood smiled, while the shadow looked at him.

"And what exactly does it get you in return?" It asked.

"We finally shut down the mafia that Celestia, and Luna haven't heard about.....with them out of the way we have a chance of being able to build a secret kingdom for when you become the new Demon Lord, but be warned their are going to be a few top assassin's that will be left, and you had better keep an eye out, their's going to be criminal' trying to cause trouble in Ponyville" Blueblood explained, as the shadow sighed.

"It seem's the mare I know is going to find out about me, no matter how my actual self tries to hide it.....she will soon be dragged into this game. Make sure my throne is created to hold me, and many queen's, and I'll soon send you letter that will have you connect it to The Boutqiue when you receive it, also work on that part of the throne" The shadow being explained, as Blueblood bowed honorably.

"As you wish Dragonbourne, but I think it's time that we made ourselves scarce" Blueblood said, hearing siren's in the distance.

"I've got one more place to stop, but other than that......" The shadow growled, as he got on his bike after putting his shotgun's away. He revved up the bike, and made a rather sick u-turn making the tires screeching across wood.

"......I'm outta here" The shadow snarled, as he sped off into the night, and tracked down the fashion designer places that Fancy Pant's had hired to not help Rarity. He drove in, shot everyone, and the bosses of the place, who were Sassy Saddles, a surprising Coco Pommel, Fleur De Lis, and of course a cheerful Suri Polomare. The shadow returned back to Ponyville with it still being the middle of the night, as he struggled to get to the bed in time. He looked down at his hand, see it turn into a green, and purple dragon claw. He was still incomplete, and he needed more time to stay out longer.

He finally was able to go to bed silently without waking Rarity up, as he quietly transformed back into Spike, his justice......no.....his vengeance finally delivered for the night.

Spike slept in longer than usual, it took all of Rarity's strength just to wake him up. "Spike.....Spike.....SPIIIIKKKEEE!!!!!!" She shouted, jerking Spike awake. Immedietly Spike leaped out of bed, and got into a battle positon with his sword at the ready, as Rarity looked at him with shock, before re-assuring him. "Spikey, Spikey.....it's just me you were sleeping again" Rarity told him, as Spike chuckled awkwardly before sheathing his sword.

"Sorry....habit" He said to Rarity with a long drawn out sigh, as Rarity looked at him concerned.

"Spikey.....are you sure your alright, please I want to know, if there is something you need to tell me, please tell me it" Rarity told him looking at him with deep concern. Spike looked down, and sighed before hugging her caringly, as Rarity was taken back by this, but found her cheek's getting warm, now just realizing how....comforting it was to be in Spike's arm's.

"Rarity....what has been happening this past year is so complicated that I can't tell you what's going on....I wish I could, but I can't. The reason why I can't is to keep you safe....I don't want so see you......lost" Spike told her, as Rarity felt a warmth in her heart that she couldn't ignore. He....He cares so much about me....what are these feeling's I feel, could he be.....no he couldn't be Rarity thought to herself, as she soon seperated from their hug.

"It's okay Spikey Wikey if you feel that way then you don't have to tell me, if you wish to not tell me then you don't have to, but why were you sleeping in last night?" Rarity asked, as Spike shrugged.

"I don't know even though I didn't stay up last night I feel......drained, and I don't know why" Spike thought to himself, as Rarity looked at him with a smile.

"How about we go out, and have some fun today Spikey?" Rarity asked, as Spike gave her an odd glance.

"Are you sure?" Spike asked, as Rarity quickly went to her dressing room, and got dressed before appearing in one of her beautiful outfit's. She went over to the drake, and wrapped her arm around his.

"Of course Darling, I'm tired of being cooped up in this place....COME ON, LET'S GO HAVE SOME FUN!!!!!!!" She squealed softly, before dragging him outside. Both of them traveled to certain areas having fun, and seeing their friend's. Spike was so wrapped up in finally seeing Rarity, who was so cheery, and happy to him, until he felt something attached to his sword. Spike looked down, realizing that he had somehow gotten The Dragonbourne gem. At first he was puzzled from how it gotten on a secret pocket in his sword, but then a sad look came on his face, realizing what this meant.

He had gotten what he came for, after today it would be time for him to leave again. He wanted to stay here, he wanted to be with Rarity, sit down, laugh, have tea with her, but the longer the Demon dragon's were alive with him staying here, the more his friend's were in danger. He made sure that the stone was tucked away, as he pushed the thought to the back of his mind, letting himself have fun with Rarity. It was nice being home again, spending time with Rarity, and it made him feel young, but after getting sidetracked the sun had set, leaving Ponyville in a pretty night light.

Spike, and Rarity were walking home together with Rarity clinging to him. "Spike these past few day's have been rather.....fun, especially with you....I feel happy" Rarity said to him, as Spike almost looked down, blushing slightly.

"Yeah it has been rather....fun with you" Spike said awkwardly, as Rarity looked away blushing slightly. Both of them were walking to The Boutique, until a group of unfriendly ponies who had a bunch of weapon's approached them, as they looked at her, and grinned.

"Well, well look what we have here.....that little pony may have been responsible for snitching about our bosses operation's" The pony cackled, as Rarity hid behind Spike, as he stepped forward snarling.

"I think I might know who you ponies are, and I'm going to give you all a warning, leave now.....I don't want to do this....at this time" Spike snarled, as the other pony laughed.

"Oh....and what exactly are you going to do about it, pal. Unfortunately for you we are going to have fun....take him down boys" The stallion growled, as all of them dogpiled Spike, making sure to keep his arm's, leg's, and mouth's secure so that he wouldn't get away. The other final two ponies were about to have their own twisted fun with Rarity. She screamed for Spike to help her, and once again time froze. Spike knew that....what they were about to do to her would be horrible....he was going to make sure with every bone in his body that nothing bad would happen to her.

Rage filled his very being, as he let his sword do the talking. In the end, he would have to explain this to Rarity, she was going to find out his secret. That didn't matter anymore, no one was going to hurt Rarity ever again. He put all of his power into his transformation, his eye's glowing blank purple, as time resumed. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Spike roared, as a golden supercharged lightning bolt's, knocked all of the stallion's on top of him into the wall's of the building's, as a thunderous screech was heard, while Spike entered his Dragonbourne transformation.

Rarity was taken back by this, seeing Spike in this form. "S-Spike" Rarity realized, as Spike looked at all of them with a cackle exiting his lip's.

"C-Crap....The Dragonbourne" The ponies gulped, as Spike unsheathed his sword.

"Fight or perish ponies" Spike snarled, as the ponies stood up to take on Spike, but were immedietly sliced to bit's with his super speed, an explosion of blood spraying on the floor, and splattering against the wall's. One of the ponies that had grabbed a hold of Rarity, turned to The Dragonbourne quivering, while the other tried to take Rarity....neither of them were successful. Spike was too fast, as he sliced the other pony into bit's before stopping in front of the one who had Rarity, as Spike looked at him with cold eyes.

The pony dropped Rarity out of pure fear who didn't make a sound, as she looked at the transformed Spike, still speechless. "I-I wasn't....I-it's not what it look's like, I was just....playing" The stallion quivered sweating nervously. Spike didn't say anything, as he raised his sword as the tip had a golden glow to it. "No...no....please.....GAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!" The pony screamed, before being impaled by Spike's sword, blood erupting from his back before Spike pulled the sword out, and sliced his head off just for good measure.

Rarity had watched the entire scene unfold, as she looked at him unaware of his action's before speaking. "Spikey.....W-Wikey....can.....can you hear me?" Rarity asked, as Spike lifted her up off the ground from where she was thrown as she, placed her hand on his cheek before looking into his eye's.

"It's....me Rarity.....I'm sorry....I didn't want you finding out this way" He told her, as Rarity was rather annoyed, but looked at him a bit softly before having him head home with her to The Boutique.

"How....." Rarity growled with her hand's on her hip's, and the look in her eyes was one of anger.....she was mad. "Spikey were best friend's why.....why couldn't you TELL ME ABOUT THIS, DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW ABOUT IT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Rarity shouted, as Spike sighed.

"Twilight, and Pinkie Pie have know for a long time, they've been keeping my secret for the past year now" Spike explained, as Rarity scoffed.

"The reason why you left is BECAUSE OF THIS!?!?!?!? WHY DIDN'T TELL ME SPIKEY!!!!!!!" Rarity said angrily, as Spike looked at her furiously.

"WHAT WOULD I HAVE SAID THAT WOULD HAVE MADE SENSE, "Oh hey Rarity guess what on the day you rejected me, I turned into a Demon dragon, and now I have to go away from Ponyville to kill other Demon dragon's, and criminals....If I don't come back that mean's I'm dead" HOW IS THAT SUPPOSE TO MAKE IT BETTER.....I WAS TRYING TO KEEP YOU SAFE!!!!!!!" Spike snarled, as Rarity stomped her foot.

"SAFE, I'M NOT SOME DAMSEL IN DISTRESS SPIKEY WIKEY I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!!!!!!" Rarity growled, as Spike was also not backing down from this argument.

"AGAINST DEMON DRAGON'S....AND THEIR LEADER, I'VE ONLY BATTLED THEIR FOOT SOLDIERS BEFORE I RETURNED HERE, HOW WOULD I FEEL IF I LOST YOU!!!!!!!!" Spike shouted, as Rarity crossed her arm's.

"I WOULD FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT YOU!!!!!" She screamed, as for a minute both of them blushed slightly before Rarity showed him some slight ignorance.

"HOW COULD YOU NOT BEEN ENTIRELY HONEST WITH ME SPIKE!?!?!?!?!?" Rarity asked, as finally a single word flared within Spike, as he spoke.

"YOU HAVEN'T BEEN HONEST WITH ME EITHER.....YOU DIDN'T TELL ME ABOUT FANCY PANT'S, AND INSTEAD OF YOU TELLING TWILIGHT FOR ME TO HELP YOU WITH WHAT HAPPENED, YOU NOT ONLY DIDN'T TELL THEM, BUT YOU KEPT IT TO YOURSELF EVEN WHEN YOU KEPT YOUR FEELING'S ABOUT ME TO......YOURSELF!!!!!!!!" Spike roared thunderously, as Rarity was speechless. "....Am I wrong about that last part?" Spike asked her with sincerity in his eyes. Rarity was still speechless, but Spike let out a big, long sigh before speaking.

"Maybe it's best that we sleep this off, I'll be on the couch" Spike told her, as he went over to one of her couch's, as Rarity attempted to speak an argument, but nothing left her lip's. Rarity went off to her bed chamber's, and went to get some sleep.

Time passed a lot, as Spike was having trouble falling asleep in his Dragonbourne form, while Rarity herself was also not doing well....tossing, and turning in her bed. He was best friend's with her, but it felt like it was becoming....more. Was Rarity really in love with Spike, and that's why she reacted that way about Spike's secret? She started to reconsider what Spike had explained to her before their argument when she reacted that way. It was just after she rejected him that made him into what he was, but even if it wasn't....he eventually could have become who he was now.

Rarity looked back at herself. Spike had a life of his own outside of Equestria. Even without wing's it was like he was flying on a beautiful cloud nothing stopping him with what adventure's he had on his own. She really didn't have much here either, eventually she ended up making a decision in her mind, and decided to get some rest, as Spike eventually had fallen asleep on the couch. Morning finally approached, as Spike was already up, and preparing for his departure, and was going to write a note for Rarity when he heard a loud clunk behind him that got his attention.

Rarity was dressed in an anime school girl attire that Spike was surprised to see her in. The top, and tie were rather long for her, but her belly was exposed to the air, while also wearing a skirt that wasn't too short, but would still be stylish. She also had what appeared to be a suitcase behind her, as Spike looked at her confused. "Um....Rarity what's this?" Spike asked, as Rarity looked at him deeply in the eyes before speaking.

"Spike.....I wanted to apologize to you about yesterday. I was so caught up with you not telling me that I didn't think how much you had to go through before returning home. I don't know if I do have feeling's for you quite yet, but....I also know that your my best friend, and no matter how I know that you wouldn't keep a secret like that unless it was for a good reason....and it was." Rarity explained, as Spike looked at her for a few minutes before speaking.

"I....also am sorry Rarity, from how I reacted yesterday, being the Dragonbourne is both amazing, and a curse at the same time, and I forgive you....besides I can't stay mad at you forever" Spike told her, as both of them hugged it out before he gave her an odd look. "One question, why are you in that get-up, and carrying that suitcase?" Spike asked, as Rarity smiled.

"Because not only have I decided to keep you being The Dragonbourne a secret, but I also plan on traveling with you, and before you can complain, Twilight Sparkle has given me some magical spell's that will help me" Rarity explained, as a smile spread across Spike's face.

"Well what exactly are you waiting for, we aren't going to kill the Demon dragon's themselves you know" Spike told her, as Rarity let out an excited squeal before they headed out of the Carousel Boutique. Spike soon explained everything to Twilight with what happened, and she, plus the Main 6 were glad to see Rarity was happy once again, but were also a little disappointed that she was going with Spike. Once again Spike promised that they would come back when they could. Both Rarity, and Spike traversed through the Everfree forest, until they finally went to Lioness City, and met up with Chrysalis.

They now had enough supplies to buy them enough time on their journey, and if they needed to re-supply they could alway's comeback to either Lioness, or Equestria to get more. Rarity was a bit alarmed, and questioned why Chrysalis was naked, and in chain's. Chrysalis explained the entire situation to Rarity, which made her a tad bit jealous, but was also glad she was taking care of Spike when she didn't know what was going on, and with that all three of them were on their way.
