Dragonbourne
#24 The Blood Red Beast (Gore)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIn the deep, dark shadow's of the Demon dragon realm....many whisper's, and gossip's escaped many lip's. For the demon dragon's themselves it was all for a good reason why they were talking about the cretain of gossip they were on, as The Demon Lord himself, and one of his elites henchman were off to summon a specific type of dragon. For The Demon Lord himself, it was no mishap of why he had left his throne room which he usually had never gotten off from. The Demon Lord had magic that no one rivaled, and had given these dragon's a gift to make them more powerful.
Many of those dragon's tried to take the throne for their own in some manner when he was under their rule.....however that wasn't the case for him today. At this current moment....he needed to take action. His sinister rule had made these dragon's powerful, elimminating those dragon's who were weak, and feeble to craft one of the strongest race of evil dragon's that ever existed. Right now....one power threatned all of that.....one power had made him make the decision of using a Demon dragon general, he had never planned on using again.
The Dragonbourne had changed all of this; The Demon Lord never thought that the half-breed's mother had a smart way of hiding her hatcling, and his underling's had made the mistake of underestimating her. His parent's may have been gone, but he managed to survive, grow, and become the one thing that threatened his Kingdom of Evil. At first with the power's he currently possesed, The Demon Lord himself didn't really think that The Dragonbourne would be much of a threat, but as he had once feared, The Dragonbourne had grown stronger, and stronger with how much his aura was growing.
It was imperitive that The Demon Lord would throw everything they had at him, before their kingdom was destroyed. The Demon Lord had a feeling that the only way this would end was if it was fought at his lair, but until then he had to try to make sure the Dragonbourne was weakened, or killed. He finally went to the darkest depth's of his underworld, where a river of lava flooded in many areas. At the center seemed a very huge dragon, that was almost the size of Dragon Lord Torch, but about half the size.
He had summoned this behemoth to battle multiple time's, and each time he had....the beast vanquished the biggest, and powerful good dragon's. This Demon dragon general was a weapon of war, and he was going to use him however he pleased. The Demon Lord apporached the large behemoth, as he came to a halt. "Malakar" The Demon Lord spoke, as the dragon turned to face the being who had come to speak with him, as the big dragon chuckled.
"Why have you darkened my depth's again, my evil master.....is there a village in need of slaying from our wrath?" Malakar asked. Malakar was a dragon that walked on four leg's like the dragon's of old. His body was a mixture of blood red, and a lava color with deep black scale's, as his underbelly. He had his own Demon wing's that were scaly, and almost the same color as his body, but with razor sharp spike's on it. The dragon had five horn's on his head, that seemed to be in the shape of a Demon crown. The Demon Lord answered the question in his sinister voice.
"I need you to kill a dragon" The Demon Lord replied, as a haunting laughter filled the air that shook the area he was in, Malakar's voice bellowing from down below, as his laughter turned into a chuckle.
"You come all this way, just to kill a simple dragon, if it's the one known as Torch then I can assure you he will be too easy to kill in combat due to his old age." Malakar cackled, as The Demon Lord looked at Malakar with complete, and utter silence, speaking in serious term's.
"I need you to kill The Dragonbourne" The Demon Lord told him. Silence filled the area completely, as Malakar looked at him a bit speechless before he spoke.
"I thought that the mother dragon who gave birth to that measily half-breed destroyed her egg year's ago?" Malakar asked.
"His mother tricked my elites into thinking that....but she used her most protective dragon breath to send him to a place where he could survive, outside of my kingdom's reach, and there he, and survived, and now has become the one being who threaten's my power" The Demon Lord explained.
"If that's the case, why can't you send any of the other general's, or the many powerful foot soldier's you have to take him down?" Malakar asked, as The Demon Lord replied.
"We did....they're dead now, and three Demon dragon general's have been destroyed, I even sent one of our powerful sorcerer's to kill him....and he failed, so I decided to pick you" The Demon Lord answered, as Malakar smirked.
"Sound's like this half-breed is not to be trifled with....after all...if I fail, I know someone in your realm who will be eager to kill this Dragonbourne if I am destroyed. Very well Master....I will find The Dragonbourne, and kill him....and I'll use my power must to take myself to him" Malakar snarled, as the place become an erupting volcano, the lava bathing his huge body before making him vanish...to find, and eliminate The Dragonbourne.

Rarity had been tracking the next Dragonbourne gem that was going to be used, and applied to Spike when it was ready. The place they came across that had The Dragonbourne gem seemed impossible to get to. Her magic had led her to a giant F5 lightning tornado that was only stayed in one spot. No doubt about the magic that she felt....The Dragonbourne gem had to be inside the tornado, and getting it out of there seemed impossible.
"HOW THE HELL IS MASTER GOING TO GET IT OUT OF THAT WITHOUT BEING KILLED!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Chyrsalis screamed, looking completely stumped on how to find solution's of getting into the tornado without getting thrown like a ragdoll. Spike looked at the huge tornado, feeling the wind blowing at him, as he could sense a strange feeling inside his body.
"Perhap's I'm suppose to go alone in the tornado to find The Dragonbourne gem" Spike explained, as both mare's looked at him completely baffled, as Rarity was the first to speak up.
"Spike is that really a good idea, I mean.....do you see the size of that lightning tornado.... how are you certain that thing isn't going to harm you?" Rarity asked a bit worried, as Spike looked at the tornado, and closed his eye's. It felt like the lightning was calling to him, and he could sense The Dragonbourne gem....calling him, and assuring him that he was going to be okay. Spike looked back to Rarity, and Chrysallis with a look to soothe their concern's.
"I'll be fine....for some reason it feel's like I'll be ok" Spike told them, as Rarity rasied an eyebrow at him.
"What makes you say that?" Rarity asked, as Spike let out a deep sigh.
"Call it a hunch" Spike answered before stepping into the lightning tornado. He journeyed inside the giant tornado that was going crazy, as he saw the deep blue lighting bolt's that crackled, and thundered around the wind. Spike was suprised seeing the most biggest lightning bolt at the very center of the tornado itself. Not only was this massive lighting bolt frozen completely, but it also looked like he could climb up it. Spike only growled, as he dug his claw's into the lighting bolt, feeling an electrical charge zap through his body.
Much to Spike's suprise.....the energy coursing through his body didn't harm him, or do anything to harm his body...he just felt a little....tingly. This didn't matter to the drake, as he began climbing the lightning bolt before finally reaching the top of the frozen lightning bolt, near the center of the stormy tornado. At the very top was a shrine of glowing stone that was shooting lighting bolt's, into the huge tornado. At the very center of this shrine was The Dragonbourne Gem, emitting huge lightning bolt energy that curled, and bathed the gem with power.
Spike reached his hand out, and grabbed the gem, as the shrine welcomed his power, and let the gem be taken by him. Immedietly after getting the gem, the lightning bolt, and the tornado itself vanished instantly, making Spike fall from the sky, until he had his mini dragon link to his back, bringing out his huge wing's, and glided down to the ground with ease. Rarity, and Chrysalis had a feeling of warmth rushing over them, as the unicorn mare looked at Spike with a smile. "Let's get to work" Rarity she said a bit ecstatically, as the three traversed back into the caravan that they had alway's brought with them.
This time it was Rarity's turn to insert the gem inside Spike's body, as she layed on top of him with the small gem in hand. "I'm kind of skeptical about this gem Spikey, what if it hurt's you?" Rarity asked, as Spike turned around, and gave her a look of suprise on his face.
"Your the one who helped put a ton of gem's into my body, and your JUST questioning of inserting one....NOW!?!?!?!?!?!?" Spike asked, as Rarity had an embarrased look on her face before replying.
"Well Darling those gem's seemed mostly normal, or nearly harmless.....this....." She said worringly, watching the blue tendril's of lighting bolt's spark, and zap all over the gem, as Spike gave her an assuring smile.
"Don't worry Rarity, I'll be fine, just apply the gem, and we can get going" Spike told her, as she winced a little.
"Ok....here goes" She told him, as she inserted the gem into the collar he wore....which turned it into a liquid, injecting it into his body, while pulling up the ancient symbol on his back. This one was going to be titled, as level 7, as she began re-arranging the broken part's of the system to get it back together into the number it needed to be. These puzzle's were only getting more challenging, and challleging for both mare's, as it took them even longer to decipher the symbol's. Finally it finished, and turned back into the symbol it was suppose to be, but became permanantly etched on his body.
Spike felt a huge supercharge going through his vein's, as the lighting coursed through him, further changing his body to adjust to the newfound power, while also not having to experience any side affect's. After the transformation had finished, Spike's clawed hand's began to glow, as blue lighting bolt's combined together, forming another bow with enough arrow's for him to keep firing it. The bow was made of lightning stone, while also had a dark blue color to it.
Draco appeared rather quickly, as he looked at the weapon's next upgrade, and smiled. "Kreea'ahm la Ahmahm" Draco pronounced in the same foreign language, as they all were about to ask for the translation of those word's, but he was already one step ahead of them. "In the Demon dragon language....it's known, as The
Storm Bow. It can shoot powerful lighting tornado's that is used to help heal your body quickly in battle, or keep you re-charged if your feeling drained, allowing you to keep up with any future battle's"
He explained, as Rarity, and Chrysalis looked at the sword handle, angrily before speaking.
"Oh so your saying we can't heal master back to health from his tough battles" Chrysalis snarled, as Draco turned his head to them, and spoke.
"I wasn't saying that.....he has the ability to heal, but he's still going to need you to take care of his wound's after battle. Judging by how powerful the last Demon dragon general was....the next one 's are going to have abilites that are more serious which mean's the next one he's about to face....is another deadly one." Draco explained, as Spike looked at his sword, and sighed.
"Draco....just be silent, until we find the next gem....please?" Spike begged, as Draco huffed before turning back into a normal sword handle.
"I honestly think that these symbol's appearing on your back are marking you in such a permanent way, it's a bit tacky, and not to mention if more of these appear on you...it look's like you got one...giant...tattoo" Rarity said, as both Chrysalis, and Spike exchanged a deadpanned look, then replied in unison.
"Your one to talk Diamond Butt" Chrysalis, and Spike sang, as Rarity had the most embarrased look on her face.
"Hmmph" Rarity huffed, as she was about to say something before a very loud roar shook the entire caravan.
"DRAGONBOURNE!!!!!!!!!!" Malakar roared, sounding angry, and willing to fight.
"Well.....there goes our morning" Spike sighed, as all three of them journeyed outside, coming across the Demon dragon general after putting some much needed distance from them, and the caravan. They all saw the giant four legged Demon dragon general who soon spotted The Dragonbourne who already entered his transformation. "Your a LOT bigger than the other Demon dragon general's who have been defeated in the past"
Spike said cautiously, as Malakar stared down at him, and snarled. "So your the tiny half-breed that has been causing my accquaintance some trouble.....even though he has commanded me through other battles" Malakar growled, as Spike let out a cold snarl.
"So....you also work for The Demon Lord" Spike snarled, as Malakar spat his next word's from his maw with seething hatred behind them.
"My challenge, my rule's....my power is rivaled to be gigantic" Malakar roared, readying his magic. Spike let one of his abilities kick in, as he equipped the scarlett colored armor, along with his weapon transforming into it's stinger variant, as he snarled.
"Who's tough now?" Spike asked, as he prepared for battle. Malakar was ready with his powerful strength, as his deadly molten hot flamethrower breath began to scorch everything. Spike was able to use his speed to dodge his enemies attack, but Malakar had an advantage with his huge size. Spike began speeding around, as the dragon turned suprisingly quick. Spike needed to find away to level the playing field, as he tried to think of a way to land a blow. Spike finally figured out an answer, as he changed his stinger back to his sword, and brought out his ice sword.
He had never used the ice sword, but now he had an idea on how to use it to do some damage. Spike fired a massive ice wave at Malakar, who directed his volacanic attack at the blow which created a huge mist of steam from the powerful collision, masking Spike in the smoke. This gave Spike the advantange he was looking for, as he used his super speed, along with the strength in his teeth, and sword to deliver the most savage, and anamalistic attack's.
Malakar roared painfully, which soon turned to anger, as he fired the Black Hole ability high into the sky, now being even bigger due to his size. This made the mist vanish easily, as Spike was using the maximum number of super speed to try not to get sucked into the Black Hole, trying to stay in the fight. Malakar knew he was vulnerable, and charged up his firebreath, ready to kill The Dragonbourne with one blast. He had nowhere left to run, and he had no escape.
Rarity, and Chrysalis could no longer sit, and watch, as they combined their magic together, and aimed for Malakar's feet, knocking him off balance, his flamethrower breath scorching everything else. Spike became rather singed, but thankfully his scale's was still fireproof, as he was knocked back. Spike began to get sucked into the Black Hole, before the two mare's below him, used all the strength in their mind. Spike quickly used the lightning in his hand's to bring out his Lightning Bow, as he fired it.
The arrow he fired slammed into ground, creating a huge tornado, which collided with the Black Hole. Both vortexes, went out of balance, as it created an implosion, followed by blue lighting, flying everywhere. Malakar took the deadly lighting hit's, as he roared in pain, and collasped. Spike was also a bit worse for wear, from being slammed into a huge rock by moutain sized boulder's. Malakar soon found the strength to stand, as he saw Spike in the rubble, and prepared his other magical attack.
He fired powerful Cannon Ball's from his maw, as it blew Spike high into the sky, and made him hit the ground hard. Spike was badly, badly, wounded....his right arm was gone, and blood was gushing from his body, and from his maw. Spike had enough, amd was not going to let Malakar kill him. Spike let out a roar of anger, as his arm somehow, through his Demon dragon blood, re-attached to his body with ease. Spike charged in at full speed with two of his normal sword's at the ready.
Spike jumped high into the sky, and impaled Malakar's back with both his white sword, and the normal copy, as he ripped from near the tip of the neck, all the way down the back, tearing through flesh, and muscle. Malakar roared painfully, as he turned around, and fired his firebreath at The Dragonbourne. Spike used every ounce of speed to bounce back from the flame attack, as he created a powerful slash making the Demon dragon's face explode with his blood, teeth, and eye.....fly in a gory explosion.
Malakar collapsed to the ground with a powerful thud, as Spike went mile's high into the sky, as he switched both his sword's out for his stinger, and slammmed his powerful attack with his golden lightning, as the weapon slammed into his body, making him explode in a lake of blood. Spike hit the ground, creating a huge crater when he landed, and let out a huge dominant dragon roar that shook the mountain's. He finally calmed downed, but began to limp over, while using a shot of his Storm bow to keep him from passing out.
Rarity, and Chrysalis helped him get to the caravan so that they could patch his wound's. Rarity had seen the savagry of Spike defeating the big Dragon, but knowing the drake himself.....it was the only way to defeat his opponet. Spike was right, this was a very dangerous lifestlye....she just hoped that he would survive this entire thing to have her future with him.

Shock, and awe surrounded the Demon dragon's realm, as The Great, and Powerful Malakar who may have been the biggest Demon dragon spawned from their depth's, had been killed by The Dragonbourne. The Demon Lord had no word's, but new the next Demon dragon who would be hell bent on slaying the half-breed, and he knew which one it would be, all he had to do was wait for that Demon dragon's arrival.
