Jimmy had been stuck in Manteo for months. So boring was his current plight that he had nothing to do, which unsettled him greatly. Life had always been like this for a while now, ever since effective lockdown. It was now September, and the situation looked no closer to resolving thanks to political officials and medical officers washing their hands of any responsibility or any reasonable response. Indeed, he had seen a video outlining that 98% of COVID deaths could have been prevented if the White House had actually done something instead of pretending that it was like the flue and wasn't an actual threat, and then still doing nothing after it became an actual threat. No, it seemed that using the Department of Homeland Security to beat up veterans was a far more productive use of his time, resulting in a nation more broken than ever.

So Jimmy stayed in his room for months, only emerging to eat or to take a daily walk. And even that was a tense experience, with lots of people around. Not as many as usual, but the governor had lifted lockdown restrictions too early and the beaches had led to a lot of spreading about of the virus. No wonder he wore a face shield so often now.

Jimmy glanced down to his phone, and saw a text message from somebody he knew. It was a woman called Bianca, a local bartender and occasional barista (not a barister, as somebody had once mistyped it in an email) who'd driven him up the wall about a year ago, complete with other surreal and unexplained phenomena that permeated his existance.

As he read the message (which was oddly long) he soon felt sad. The pair had made up, a bit, although he'd been Aria Blaze at the time, and it was a sad message indeed.

Hi Jimmy!

I know it's been a while since we last spoke, but I've some bad news for you. My mother's taken a turn for the worse in this crisis- don't worry, she hasn't got the virus- and I need to return home to help her get back on her feet. I can't confirm when I'll be back, so I'll be hosting a goodbye party on Zoom. It's too dangerous to meet in person, so I'll email you the meeting link in a day or so.

Where did Jimmy go from here? Every day was the same. Had he lost the magic, magic, magic? In this lockdown, time felt like it was stuck on repeat. The days went round and round and round, round and round and round.

September 24th arrived, and the meeting began to say goodbye to Bianca. The meeting was well attended, although talking entirely over video conference that kept cutting out was a challenge. Bianca had then rewired the communication gear to try and get it all working again. After all, you need to establish which box you are in before trying to think outside of it.

Just as the event came to an end, there was a knock at the door. Jimmy went to the door (with the appropriate coverings) and saw a girl wearing a face shield standing there, with a box.

"Delivery for you!" she said. She seemed oddly peppy, and mildly annoying, two emotional traits that often went together. Jimmy hesitated for a second. "Well, don't you want it?"

"Oh, sure," Jimmy replied, taking the box with his gloves and putting it on his special tray, where he put all his deliveries. "Are you new here? I don't think I've seen you around."

"My name's Alice," she replied, though refrained from extending her hand to avoid any potential virus transmission. "I'm newly assigned to the local FedEx depot. But I know who you are, Jimmy."

"How? And you really can't know that much."

"Oh, I do," Alice smiled. "You're James Thomas Hook, second son of Le and Mary Hook. Born in 1996 in Ashland, Oregon, lived in Alabama for several years, then moved to Manteo. Of course, what you're really known for is changing into every fictional character under the sun, although your friends Tom Haddington, Katrina Miller, John Rooke, Steph Parker and Ink also do this. "Okay, okay, I get the idea," Jimmy replied. "You're obsessed about it. But how do you know all that?"

"You did kinda post all your personal details all over the internet. Besides, your dad's facebook page is filled with information- how's he getting along, by the way?"

Jimmy blinked. This girl was clearly a fan, if she knew all that. But how did she know of the others? "You need to be careful, in case you end up going the same way."

"I know what I'm doing! I'm avoiding any wierd objects. Well, I've got stuff to deliver, see ya!" And off she went.

Jimmy blinked. "I may need to get a restraining order against her."

To say that Jimmy found her annoying was an understatement. Whereas Bianca had been rude and somewhat snotty, here it was Alice's peppiness and enthusiasm that drove him up the wall. Who was she, a relative of Pinkie Pie? That seemed to be the only logical explanation he could muster for that, as he went about his beeswax- business as best he could whilst trying not to be annoyed by her too much.

However, this proved to be easier said than done. Wherever he was, so was she, and she was constantly trying to garner his attention at every conceivable opportunity. The days slowly rolled by, some of the damage from a recent storm still being fixed around town. Everything was a mess, what with the virus still running rampant and society doing little to stop it.

Which brings us to the very early morning of the 26th of September. This was set to be yet another day in Jimmy's not especially evenful life, so he pulled himself out of bed and went downstairs sighing as he did so at how tired he was and how hot the night had been. This was because the air conditioning unit in his house had failed, and he didn't have the time nor skills to repair it, so a repairman it was that he needed. He was currently awaiting his arrival, which would be between the times of 07:00 and 19:00, or to use a Jimmyism, between the morning and evening hour, and as such he needed to be up early. He had succesfully made his way downstairs and into his kitchen to eat, when he spotted something.

It was a weasel!

No, it wasn't. The autocorrect on my PC went a bit crazy.

Sitting on the ground was a bracelet, that was orange, and seemed altogether far too small for his wrists, which were mighty slabs the width of tree trunks. So he picked it up, only for him to get a pulse of electrical energy that knocked him back.

It was the time appointed for the changes to happen, and sure enough he gained some rather strange looking shoes. They were predominantly white, with purple bodywork higher up, and pink speed lines on the side, along with a heart symbol on the front plates and white laces. There were also a pair of white socks on his feet (he had previously been barefoot). The tops of those, sitting somewhere around his ankles, had orange trim. His shorts (as he was wearing shorts) then tightened onto his corpulent figure as running shorts, losing their zip and button in the process and changing material to lycra. It now ran to just under his knees, and they also turned orange.

Atop that, his shirt's front and back shrank back to have a low neckline, although the sleeves stayed the same. The entire garment turned pink, and then the bottom began to grow longer, growing to partway down his thighs, before gaining a side split to make walking slightly easier. This now sundress gained four sun symbols on the skirt.

The wrist bracelet was now on his left wrist, and was joined by a blue one. Jimmy looked utterly stupid, and furthermore he had no clue who this even was.

Thankfully, fate and the affliction are not known for leaving things unfinished. Sure enough, his entire chassis shrank down, fat and muscle sloughing off him like melting wax, reducing him to the figure of a skinny teen. Every inch of his skin faded to pink, making him look oddly sunburnt, as his eyes turned yellow. Deeper pink eyebrows materialised on his face as blue eyeliner appeared behind his eyes. His hair turned varying shades of lurid green, as though he had been in the middle of an explosion in a dulux factory. This mess grew longer and down to his thighs as his face changed to somebody else's.

Seconds after that, his entire body shrank and knocked about a foot off his height, and his shoulders were suddenly pulled in. Moments later, his chest swelled into two breasts as his waist was suddenly pulled in. The next two bits, the last two, happened at once. As his hips exploded outwards, his manhood got sucked into his body and replaced with the female equivalent.

The final clue appeared when a pair of headphones appeared on her head, blasting terrible, out of tune rock music.

Ripping the glasses off and dumping them on the side, Lemon Zest punched the air and whooped. "Yeah! You need to hear this guys! This track is totally wild!"

Moments later, she sped out of the door, all prior concerns like breakfast forgotten, as she set off to start her day in wherever she was. It didn't look like Crystal City, that's for sure.

Never did she realize that Alice had been watching her from a nearby tree.

So today marks 5 years of when My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games first aired on Discovery Family.

In honor of that entry in the EG Franchise, I will be transforming into each of the Six Shadowbolts that debuted in the 3rd movie with a twist: The clothing will be of the ones that I like the most for them and the ones that of course: Preferred clothing for when outside of Crystal Prep Academy. :3
