The Shadowbolt Saga Volume 3: Electric Blues
It was supposed to be a time of lockdown in Manteo, but if you looked at most streets you would never have guessed it based on how heaving the streets were. People had turned out on masse for the crab cake colossus event, an event that had replaced the much older Crab Carnage festival. The Police were doing their best to enforce social distancing, but there were too many people and the crowd were simply ignoring the rules, claiming that coronavirus was a hoax and that the authorities were only planning as the next phase of marching Republicans to concentration camps (which made no sense as the party running the response WAS the Republicans). In the midst of all the swirling chaos, Sour Sweet and Lemon Zest pushed there way through the crowd.
"We'll need to use a lot of hand sanitiser after this!" Sour Sweet shouted.
"This crowd is louder than my music most of the time, and that's saying something!" Lemon Zest replied.
"So, where do you think he'll be?"
"Anybody's guess! If I had to guess though, he'd totally be sitting somewhere and not doing much at all! That's how these stories start, right?"
"I see. What are you on about?"
"I'm breaking the fourth wall!"
"How can you break the fourth wall in the open air? There are no walls to break!"
"You know what I mean! Honestly, you're worse than Sugarcoat some days!"
Suddenly, a familiar voice made themselves known. "Look! Equestria Girls characters!"
Lemon Zest looked the way from whence the voice had come and groaned. "Oh no. Code A."
"What's Code A again?"
"Heya Jimmy!" yelled the incredibly irritating voice of Alice from nearby, somehow not on her delivery rounds.
"Why aren't you working?" asked Lemon Zest, looking somewhat annoyed.
"All the mail is running two weeks late! Postmaster General DeJoy has removed overtime work for employees, which is causing the entire system to gum up."
Sour Sweet elbowed Lemon Zest. "And ever so conveniently, DeJoy was appointed by a President who'd probably get slaughtered in the polls if mail in ballots were in place. No wonder everybody thinks Trump is trying to cheat."
"Only doing my job!" Alice smiled. "I've never seen those outfits before. Who made them?"
"I dunno. We, err, bought them?"
"So I see," Alice smiled. "Seen Jimmy anywhere? That adorable man is just in need of some comfort these days. He lives on his own. He must be so lonely."
Sour Sweet's fuse went. "He does not need anybody living with him!" she snapped. "Now stop stalking him and leave him in peace!"
Alice walked off. "Sheesh. Somebody pissed in your milk this morning."
Sour Sweet sighed. "That worked. Now, we need to find Jimmy!"
"On it!" Lemon Zest yelled, and sped off into the crowd. "This way! We're smaller than the average member of the crowd, so we can duck about and avoid them as best we can!"
"What about the virus?"
"We can't get infected whilst transformed, remember?"
"I hadn't, actually, but thanks for the tip. I'll remember it in future."
And so they took off into the crowd to try and find Jimmy. But now, let us change perspectives and catch up with the bearded, shaggy man of Manteo.
Truth be told, he had no idea why he was here either. Jimmy was sat outdoors in the blazing sun by a table, as it only makes sense to sit by a table when sitting or else where do you put the drinks? He was already aware that the organisers had banned alcohol from being consumed or served as that generally lead to drunken behaviour and a lack of observation of social distancing. However, that would have had next to no effect here, given that the crowd was ignoring it anyway, and as a result he felt somewhat unsafe.
To which end, he tried to leave as fast as he could, but this proved to be easier said than done as he had to fight his way through a swarm of people who seemed hell bent on catching the virus. To which end, he tried to climb under them, only to find THE CLAW!

To which end, he tried to climb under them, only to find a pair of goggles on the floor, which as he observed them abruptly woke up and flew through the air with a vengeance, attaching themselves around the back of his head and atop his forehead, squishing his voluminous hair. It was time to do the time warp again metamorphose!
Indeed, it was so, for his shoes were changed first. The laces holding them on vanished and unravelled into nothingness, and the missing space soon filled over into a boot. The ankle support then glowed and grew in length, stopping at his upper calves as the entire boot (as it was now) gained white bases and toecaps, with the rest being dark blue with yellow laces and a lightning bolt symbol on the side. The next item on the list were the slacks he was wearing, which for this process were altogether far too loose fitting for its taste, as they abruptly tightened and became very tight indeed, like a pair of bicycle pants. They also tucked themselves into the boots as they turned dark blue, and unlike usual gained extra pockets, most notably on the side. Another change from the usual was that the zip and the button were retained, presumably serving an important structural purpose this time around. A light blue belt with the strap dangling down appeared around the top portion of his new pants.
Next to act was his shirt, which per usual became slightly tighter as the sides of the neckline slid sideways, leaving his shoulders exposed. The bottom half of the shirt changed to being dark blue, as was the fad at the time, and the top half to yellow, with a symbol of a dark blue sunflower with a yellow lightning bolt appeared on it, all seemingly in bizarre parody of Rainbow Dash. At least, that's what Jimmy thought. So much so, that he noticed forming on his hands were in fact light blue fingerless gloves.
Miraculously, the crowd was so large and so focused on other things that nobody noticed Jimmy or the miraculous occurances going on below them. This would, indeed, remain the status quo as the process would proceed once more, as it was never known to get stuck (that'd make an interesting story).
His body now got in on the fun, as other things started up. This process kicked off with his hair being abruptly and violently being pulled back, as it not only reformed around the goggles, it changed into a multicoloured mess of dark, medium, and light blue, which made it look like somebody had thrown multiple bottles of paint at him. His face was then squished and rearranged into new and various shapes, ultimately leaving behind a peach face with orange eyes and dark orange eyebrows, as well as a noticably smaller nose and some lightning bolt earrings, for some reason. His neck was also compressed as a lump vanished, which produced some pretty major adjustments to his voice.
Speaking of adjustments, his wide, broad shoulders were pulled inwards as his chest pushed outwards, producing a pair of breasts. This amount of pressure forced on him during this part of his transformation caused his glasses to simply fall off. Not that he didn't need them anyways, given that his face was altered to see much better. His waist contracted and to counteract the forces at work two things happened at once. His hips popped outwards with a bang as his manhood vanished, and finally her legs slimmed down followed by her feet. Her entire body shrank in size and height to round it all off as the clothes changed in size as well, another garment appearing under her shirt to counteract the soreness she felt in her chest.
Indigogo Indigo Zap tried to crawl her way out of this crowd, but there were too many people around for her to get clear of the giant scrum. Luckily, to her luck, a hand suddenly pulled her through the crowd and she was out onto the road, to be greeted by the faces of Sour Sweet and Lemon Zest.
"Are you trying to get the virus?" Sour Sweet suddenly snapped, seemingly in cross mode.
"Hey, I had no idea that scrum would be so big!" Indigo Zap replied, trying to save face. "I have a question for you though; where are we?"
Lemon Zest didn't respond. She had her headphones on, and was listening to something very loud.
"LEMON!" the two other girls shouted at the same time, which was loud enough to get Lemon Zest to take her headphones off.
"What?"
"You were listening to that stuff too loud again! If you keep this up, you'll go deaf!"
"Listen to DreamEvil properly or don't listen to it at all, OK?"
"Whatever." Sour Sweet was quick to try and get conversation back on track. "Anybody seen any of the others lately?"
They looked over to suddenly see Sugarcoat approaching, holding a bag of food from some establishment and looking rather grumpy. Then again, she always did. "That was one of the most shambolic queuing experiences I have had in my life."

Ah Indigo Zap..... she sure is one unique Shadowbolt: Being Rainbow Dash's counterpart.... has a hairstyle that somewhat reminds us of Lightning Dust... and of course.... if I recall correctly.... the Shadowbolt Member that she is the most shipped with is her rocking BFF: Lemon Zest. =3 (Kudos to my friend RainbowYoshi305 aka Angie for that shipping. X3)
