After you decide you like to keep your balls you quickly nod in understanding. She groans. "Fine, this way then.."
You follow her to a small table, it's hard not to watch how the outfits sits on her. She looks cute, down right adorable, and you can't help but feel your heart beat just a little faster than what it did before you entered. It's almost like seeing her for the first time, when she's not talking that is. Her hips sway just a little, and you can't help but wonder if she always did that? Or have is it simply part of her service. Whatever it is, you can't complain.

You start laughing like any great friend would, and it doesn't seem to increase her mood in the slightest. When you're finally done she rolls her eyes at you.
"Great, you had your laugh. Now can you please go and let me get back to work?"

After telling her you didn't mean to cause any distress and you should hang out soon, she gives you a friendly smile and relaxes a bit more.

Rainbow brings you a menu and a glass of cold water with a lemon slice on the side. The ice cubes float around, giving off small sounds as they rotate and gently hit the glass from the inside.
"Here you go. You must have flown for a while to get here, so I figured you would like some water..."
You notice her blushing, and you can't help but blush a bit yourself. Still you play it cool, figuring it is probably because she's still embarrassed about being seen in a maid outfit by a friend. Or is it because it's you? Maybe you will find out later. You thank her and take a sip of the cold water. Rainbow just shrugs.
"Whatever, I just brought it over. It's not like I baked you a cake or something.. Anyway, I should be moving on, just call me when you're ready to order."
It's clear Rainbow is beginning to relax a bit, after all, she must have known this encounter had been a possibility. It makes you wonder why Rainbow took a job here, she did earn a decent living on the weather team. Even if she wasn't sure there were other jobs for her to take? You glance at her, and by chance you notice her looking at you. Quickly she turns away, and you figured she was checking if you had decided on what you wanted yet.
Your eyes moved down the options, of which there were plenty. There were simple things like hay fries, or more exotic things like triple deluxe banana splits with sparklers. There was also a large variety of different drinks, from hot to cold. The most interesting thing on the menu was the request section.
You could order services along with the food and drinks, like get the maid serving you to do a little dance, cast a spell on your food, write on your food, sing and much more.
You were almost tempted to request a song from Rainbow Dash, but that would probably get her to overload and make her break down for a few hours. Better play it somewhat safe for now. You continue to browse the menu for a few more moments until you decide what you wanted.
It didn't take Rainbow long to notice you putting the menu down before she's at your side again.
"So, have you decided what you're having?"
---> Just the meal.
---> Order a request with your meal.
"You're welcome, it is my job after all.. But don't get used to it okay? And stop smirking, you're lucky I can't kick your ass in here."
You chuckle a bit, and you think you're about to eat, but you find yourself captivated by her eyes. They had not left you yet, she kept looking at you, so you could not move away. It was like there was a new shine to them, a glint of something that saw you with new eyes, just like you did her.
She bites her lower lip, seeming to think about saying something.
"Hey, it's kind of nice, having you here I mean.." She can't look you in the eyes, her cheeks burning ever so slightly. Then she quickly shakes her head. "Well, I just mean it's nice to have you here since we don't get to see each other as much as we used to! Didn't mean anything else, so don't get any ideas!!"
And with that she stormed off, leaving you a little confused what that was about. However it did feel good to hear, it seemed you could come back after all. You chuckled and returned your focus to your meal!
This place was nothing like a big fancy restaurant or anything, but the food here was really great! Worth every bit, that's for sure! As you ate you got to see Rainbow serve other ponies, she had grown used to your presence and seemed like a completely different mare to you.
She moved around with a certain elegance you had not seen in her before. Her smile could win awards and her voice was bright and optimistic. Most of all she seemed to be having fun, even seemed to enjoy the attention, Rainbow was apparently quite the popular server. You caught her glancing at you a few times, each time she blushed and tried to turn her attention to something else. One time she was requested to cast a magic spell on a dish, and another time she was asked to sing.
At both accusations you noticed how she became a bit more flustered. Both times she looked over at you, then quickly hid her embarrassment. Was she embarrassed you saw her do it? It was kind of adorable to watch her act like this, you had never seen that before.
When you had finished your food she came swooping back, cleaned away your plate and then was right by your side yet again, looking at you intensely. "Don't tell anypony about what you just saw." She warned, probably referring to the spell thing she did before. "So, would you like some cake for dessert?"
Would you?

"Stay?" She looks around for a few seconds. The place was not that busy, and there were enough maids to deal with the ones that were already here. She sighed, then nodded. "Sure, but only for a little bit, okay?"
There is a few seconds pause, then she looks at you. "I can't believe you came here, did you know I was working here? Did Rarity tell you?"
"Does it matter?
"Hm, I guess not. Knowing you you would have probably found your way here sooner or later." She laughs, looking like she was standing on a pedestal and waited for a medal or something.
"And what's your excuse?"
She stops laughing instantly, looking at you with a slight glare and a small blush. "I told you, it pays well.." She bites out. "Besides, it's none of your business anyway." There was another pause in the conversation, giving you some time to taste the dish. It was very good! She notices you eating and she tilts her head. "Is it good?" You tell her it is, and she smiles. "Yeah, the dishes here are pretty awesome! I get a discount for working here too, pretty cool right?"
"It is, but it's also pretty cool to see you working here."
Rainbow sighs and shakes her head. "Nah, it's just a job. It's not really cool, I dress up as a maid and call ponies master and such.."
"You seem to have fun though."
"I guess," she shrugs and thinks about it for a moment, then looks at you. "You really think it's cool?"
"I do, I think you can make anything cool as long as your heart is in it. Besides, you look cute.."
Shit! Now you've done it, you look to her, expecting a hoof to slam into your face at any second. Only, it doesn't happen. She looks away, blushing more than before.
"T-thanks, idiot.." There is yet another pause, this time it is interrupted when Rainbow spots some new customers. She looks at you with a small smile. "You should eat that before it goes cold.. I mean! Eat it, I don't want our efforts to go to waste because you decide to waste my time!" Then she storms off.

Well probably some ponies don't like cake, but YOU do! You smile and give her a nod, which seemed to ignite some excitement in her.
"Alright, let me get it for you."Quickly she turned and moved into the kitchen, making you wonder what kind of game she was playing. It didn't take her long to come back, with her she carried a small white plate, and when she got over to you she placed it in front of you. "Here you are!"
Looking at the cake you have to admit it looks pretty damn good. You can smell the rich chocolate and a hint of coffee. The frosting is coffee brown and melted chocolate had been zigzagged over the plate a few times to complete the picture. A small heart had been drawn with the chocolate, which made you wonder if this was Rainbow's own personal touch, or if it was just standard.
In any case her eyes were fixed on you, seeming excited to see you try a bite. At any other day you would have been suspicious of that, but you knew even Rainbow was not stupid enough to try and prank you in her own place of work. Besides, there was something exciting that really made you want to try out the cake.
So, taking the fork in your hoof, you slide it down to the cake, cutting through the soft texture beautifully and without making it crumble into a lot of pieces. It really looks great, and as you move the piece closer to your mouth you get more of the delicious scent. You don't waste time, you put it into your muzzle and as soon as you feel the cake hit your tongue your eyes go wide.
"Mmh, wow.. Just.. Wow.."
You mumble while taking your time tasting the coffee cake, letting it almost melt in your mouth as you try to suck every last bit of taste out of it. The coffee gave the sweet chocolate a nice balance, letting it settle and grace it such a nice aroma. You continue to eat it happily, glancing at Rainbow who seems to be beaming with pride. She then looks down, still smiling, but blushing a bit more.
"Do you really think it's good..?"
You smile at her and nod. "Are you kidding, it's the best cake I've had in a long time. My compliments to the chef."
"Well actually," Rainbow says and looks up at you, her eyes looking into yours. "I made it.."
You stop, feeling surprised. Rainbow Dash managed to cook something? Well in this case bake, and it tasted good? Honestly you were surprised, but in a good way, and seeing Rainbow Dash beam with pride made it all the more special.
"Wow, Rainbow, I don't know what to say. This is amazing, where did you learn that?"
Her hoof started to move back and forth, her eyes avoiding yours with a sheepish grin. "Oh well you know, you pick up a thing or two when you're as awesome a maid as me." She grinned. "This one is on me, you're the first to taste my cake!"
"Wow, thank you Rainbow!"
She winks at you and returns to her duties.
You paid for the meal, took a moment to relax a bit before you stood up and made your way towards the door again. Rainbow walked close by. "Well, I can say you gave me quite the scare when you walked through that door. I thought I was going to die.."
You shrug. "I don't see what the big deal is, I'm your friend, you shouldn't have to hide such a thing from me. "
Both of you stopped near the door. "You don't get it. I don't want you to think I'm some delicate little flower.. I'm your friend, good old Rainbow Dash, your bro.. Right?"

Rainbow seems a little disappointed in that answer, she would probably have wanted you to stay for a bit longer, but she understands. You ask for the bill and Rainbow soon returns with it. It’s a nice sum of bits, but nothing too severe.

You didn't want to risk losing your best friend, you didn't want to change what you have. So you smile at her, raising your hoof for her to bump. "Friends."
She looks at the hoof for a moment, then back at you with a small smile. "Yeah, friends."
You left the café feeling like your friendship with Rainbow Dash had grown stronger. You two have been friends for such a long time, you trust one another, and this experience has just proved to you both how much you trust each other, and your friendship will only grow stronger from here on out.

You look into her beautiful eyes, your heart feels like it's going to explode and your whole body feels funny.
It is like for the first time, you see Rainbow Dash as a mare, for the first time in all this time, you actually feel like you want to kiss her, to hold her. Your cheeks burn a little as you can't look away from those eyes of hers, wanting to look into her heart, her soul, trying to see if you could ever have a chance with the best flyer in Equestria.
Maybe you could be more. You enjoyed a lot of the same things, racing, the Wonderbolts, Daring Doo, games, and simple lounging. You feel nervous, for the first time around her you actually feel nervous around her.
Still, nothing risked nothing gained, right?
"Do you wanna grab something to eat, later I mean?"
The question catches her by surprise, and you can see her shift mental gears as you change the conversation. "Uhm, sure? I mean, it we can get some pizza, play some games and-"
"No, no I mean do you want to go out with me? On a date..?"
Rainbow stiffen, her eyes go wide and you can practically hear her mind rebooting itself as if to make sure she had heard him right. "Y-you're inviting me? On a date?"
Her ears flattened and he could see she was not sure what to feel, or maybe afraid which feeling to latch on to in case she heard him wrong. You decide to get rid of all doubts, even feeling some confidence in your decision. You want to date Rainbow Dash.
"Yes, Rainbow. I want to go on a date with you, and hopefully many more after that.."
She bites her lip, emotions chase each other across her face. Then she lets out a long sigh, like if she had been holding her breath. She steps closer, and for a moment you suspect she's going to hit you, but instead you feel a gentle nuzzle.
"Yeah, I would love to go on a date with you. It will be awesome!" She laughs a little, but you can tell there is great relief in her voice, like if she was afraid this would not have been the outcome. She looks at you, her beautiful eyes looking into yours, almost like if she's looking into your heart.
You're very close to each other.
What to do?
---> Kiss the mare.
--->Don't risk it.
You swear, you could look into Rainbow's eyes all day, you could get lost in them, and the princess of love would need to send a search and rescue team in to pull you out. Finally though, you both manage to pull out.
"S-so, tomorrow evening, at seven?"
Rainbow nodded, almost in a daze. "S-sure, can't wait." Then she smirked and suddenly moved in close and planted a small peck on your cheek, whispering in your ear before she steps back. "Master."
Your whole head turns red, which isn't helped when Rainbow turns around and lets her tail move up under your muzzle, like a feline that moves close to its mate. Rainbow chuckles and gives her tail a flick before she trots off, this time you're sure there is more than a small hint of a sway in her hips. "Don't be late."
You leave the café, dazed like a love crazed fool. A big goofy grin on your face, and with your heart grown ten times as big. Finally you saw what you felt for Rainbow, finally you had found the treasure you sought, although unknowingly.
That treasure was love, that treasure, was Rainbow Dash.

Smirking a little, you look over at the mare, instantly her ears flatten against her head, then she glares at you warningly.
"Don't you bucking dare.." She whispered.
"I would like a pasta with tomato sauce and cheese, and I would like you to cast a magic spell on it."
Her eyebrow twitched, but she kept on a smile, trying her very best to stay composed and not rip your throat out. Then, taking a deep breath she forced an even bigger smile, which almost made you wish you hadn't not asked for extra service.
"A-as you wish, I'll be back with your order soon.." And with that, she left, but as she turned she managed to use the momentum of her tail to slap you lightly across the face.
You knew you were going to pay for that later, but there wasn't much you could do about it right now, and thankfully, neither could she. You imagined she would make a prank making it up for it later on, but you were used to it.
You didn't hang out with Rainbow as much as you used to. Not that it took ages before you saw each other again, but you didn't see her as much as you wanted to. This seemed to be a pretty fun solution, you may not be able to hang out much, but it was a nice way to see each other and get a little chatting done.
It was actually quite the endearing thought. You and Rainbow had been friends since you can remember, you have done everything together, and although you knew she was a mare, you never really treated her as such. To you she was just good old Rainbow Dash, your bro. You had never thought of her in any romantic way, in fact, the two of you always made gag sounds each time your parents mentioned how cute you both were together. Both of you had laughed at all that romantic stuff, both of you had spent Hearts and Hooves day making fun of the whole thing.

"Fine, let's get this over with." She took a deep breath, then stood up on her hind legs, surprising you a little. She moved her front hooves in front of her, held them like you would imagine a bunny, then swayed from one side to another as she sang. "Love, Love! Heart-wringing, Heart-wringing! My heart is pounding! Twinkle-twinkle! Hop, hop, sway, sway! Bowwow! Meow, meow! Become delicious!" She held up her hooves, spun slowly, and then pointed both hooves towards your plate as she sang it should be delicious.
Silence....
Rainbow still smiled, but her smile twitched as she said in a low tone. "I'm going to kill you for this.." You couldn't help it, you chuckled a little as you would never have imagined Rainbow Dash doing something so adorable as that. Her whole face blushed red like a tomato. "Pervert.. Can I go now?" She asked as she got back on all four hooves, looking away.

Rainbow somehow looks relieved, was she nervous you order something crazy, like a request? At any rate, she takes out a small notepad and writes down your order.

Today is maybe the most important day of your life!
Fate has called upon you, a Pegasus, a bucking stallion, to witness history!
Many have come before you, many have tried, but all have failed. Legends tells of a famous rainbow maned mare who serves only the bravest of the brave, the coolest of the coolest, and those who can afford to pay for the bill!
You have the bits, you have the courage. Now brave stallion, step forward and begin your quest to see Rainbow Dash in a dress!!
Well, it felt like an epic quest for you when you left home. Truly, you don't even know if you can believe such a rumor. Rainbow Dash working as a maid at some café? You have known Rainbow Dash for a while, ever since you were just foals, and never ever in your wildest dreams could you imagine her as a maid.
Sure she had worn dresses before, like at formal occasions, but to think Rainbow would actually work at a place that requires her to wear a maid outfit for eight hours and serve ponies, that is a bit hard to imagine.
Maybe Rarity had just heard some gossip? Then again she seemed awfully giddy about it, hell, she practically insisted you go.
What the hay, it's not like you're not used to teasing her.
You and Rainbow Dash have a long history. You grew up in the same neighborhood of Cloudsdale, your dads were close friends, so it just kind of seemed natural. Of course you both knew Fluttershy as well, and you three would hang out on occasion, but mostly you hung out with Rainbow.
Like Rainbow had a special bond with Fluttershy, you had a special bond with Rainbow. Both of you liked to fight, to race, to play outside for hours and then come home looking like you had explored the deepest pits of hell, much to your mother's annoyance.
The two of you could spend hours playing games, have pillow fights, and, well, fight for real when you got upset with one another. You both love to tease each other, loved to play pranks and banter all the time. And while growing up you both have moved to live separate lives, you both have not lost contact and both of you still hang out a lot.
When Rainbow became the element of loyalty and a big shot hero, you can honestly say you were not surprised. Still no matter what, she would always be that little filly who would build forts and hide with you in a cloud whenever it was time for you to go home.
And now you're here to tease her! Good job man! You're the greatest friend ever!
It didn't take you long to get to your destination, it has this Prench design, all fancy and stuff, but still light, welcoming and cute. More things you cannot associate with Rainbow. Is this a prank by Rarity? It really is hard to imagine Rainbow Dash working here, but since you're here you might as well get lunch.
As soon as you open the door you are met with a rainbow maned maid tha-WHAT THE ACTUTAL HELL!!??? RAINBOW DASH!!?? She stands in front of you with the cutest smile you have ever seen, she wears the classic maid uniform, the skirt hardly covering up her flanks thanks to her tail.
"Welcome home mast-erg-eeeeeehhhh..."
She started off so well, but the sight of you makes her voice crack as she freezes up on the spot. Both of you seemed equally shocked at seeing each other here. Soon enough though Rainbow snaps out of it, her face lighting up like a lit match
"What the buck are you doing here?" Rainbow hisses, trying to keep her voice down so as not to make a scene before the other customers.
What do you do?
---> Trying not to laugh. "Rainbow, is that you?"
---> Grin. "What do you mean what am I doing here? Just here to eat lunch!"
---> Tell her she looks cute while you look at her in awe.
Holding back a laugh you step forward, tilting your head as you examine her, making her blush even more. You ask her if it really is here, and gives you a hard shove, or as much as she can without making other ponies notice.
"What do you mean if it's me? Of course it's me idiot!" She says in a low growl before she quickly looks around. "If you've come here to have a laugh then fine, but make it quick, I'm at work you know!"
--> Laugh and leave.
--> Wink at her and tell her you're here for lunch.
DANGER, DANGER! ABORT! ABORT! DANGER, DANGER!
You feel like your life is in danger before you can even utter the words needed. You've known Rainbow long enough to know how she reacts to being called cute when she is already super tense! Feeling like life is the better option for now you give her a genuine smile and tell her you're surprised to see her working here.
"Yeah? Well, why should I not work here? It's not like it's illegal or something! Besides, it pays well.."
Her blush seems to increase a little, feeling totally embarrassed you've seen her in a maid outfit and all. You've known Rainbow long enough to know when she's hiding some of the truth from you. So you just chuckle a little, which of course makes her even more annoyed.
"What are you laughing at?! Did you come here just to tease me? Or are you actually going to order something??"

You feel Rainbow's breath hitting your lips ever so softly.
Every time you feel it your heart seems to flutter just a little bit more. How it happened or who did what first you don't know, but before you know it, you're leaning in, your lips connecting as you share a long and tender kiss.
"Mmmh~!"
The kiss feels like something that had been building for years and years, suddenly everything felt so right, like a great puzzle that suddenly fell into place. Every happy memory with her flashed before your eyes, everything you had shared over the years, every look, every laugh, every touch, everything seemed to collide into this one kiss.
You could feel Rainbow move into the kiss more, like she had been waiting for this for a long time. Maybe there was some truth to that, maybe you had been waiting for this for a long time as well.
She tasted sweet, her lips were soft, and it was like a jolt of electricity of pure joy and happiness moved through you both, connected via the kiss. How long it lasted you had no idea, for all you knew it could have been hours because for that moment it felt like it was just the two of them, their hearts beating as one.
With a satisfying smooch sound, your lips parted from one another slowly, and you both opened your eyes. Neither of you spoke for the first few seconds, but with cruel reality ruining the moment you knew it was time to go.
"S-so, tomorrow evening, at seven?"
Rainbow nodded, almost in a daze. "S-sure, can't wait." Then she smirked, turned around and let her tail move up under your muzzle, like a feline that moves close to its mate. Rainbow chuckles and gives her tail a flick before she trots off, this time you're sure there is more than a small hint of a sway in her hips.
You leave the café, dazed like a love crazed fool. A big goofy grin on your face, and with your heart grown ten times as big. Finally you saw what you felt for Rainbow, finally you had found the treasure you sought, although unknowingly.
That treasure was love, that treasure, was Rainbow Dash.
