Arc One of The Storm Breed.

The history of Gaea is expansive; it's lands are wondrous, and its denizens are proud and strong. But for two-thousand years, a great storm has been raging across the lands, destroying kingdoms and empires.

The alicorn empire, Elysium, led by King Eventide, is on a quest of domination. Driven by their zealous beliefs, they will not stop until the whole of the world rests under Elysium's banner.

A path has been carved into the world, and now Eventide sets his eyes on Equestria.

Now, as tensions between five nations rise, the course of events that led to this point are revealing themselves.

The history of Gaea is expansive… and it has all lead up to this.

(This is the first story arc in The Storm Breed series. The Rising Storm is an anthology, and as such, it does not follow a linear plot, so the chapters can be read in any order.

The Rising Storm will introduce you to the series's expanded universe, and tells of key historical episodes which will lead to the events in the following arcs, so if you're left confused or wondering what's going on, just know your questions will be answered.

As a note: some "chapters" will be divided into parts.
