Everything had gone to failure

(Young Flash stands in front of Canterlot Middle Schools statue and watches in despair as young Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash leave him going separate ways from himself and each other.)

My ambition turned into my broken dreams

(Flash is sent flying outside a building and into the grace outside as lighting arcs through the sky followed by thunder. Soon, it begins to storm on him.)

(Flash kneels beside his younger brother, Forward Base, who is currently crying. He stands before facing Ethan with a determined expression.)

(Young Flash is standing on the roof as a young Sunset is waiting for him.)

(The scene transitions to the park at night as Flash stands across from Sunset in shock while she laughs at him. His fists clench and he activate his black duel disc causing a blue energy blade to appear.)

(Young Flash is panting with tears in his eyes as he stands in the middle of his father's home office with books having been scattered. Anything that could be wrecked was.)

But now, from the clouds

(Young Flash sits on his knees before a coffee table. Laid out before him is a blank deck of cards, his laptop, and a flash drive. He inserts the flash drive into the computer and plays a video.)

(Young Flash watches as his father appears on screen. After a moment, his expression changes from sorrow and anger to a proud smile.)

(Flash is in his room as the sun shines through the window and her finishes packing his things. He tucks the blank deck into his deck box before walking out of the room.)

(Flash is seen walking down the sidewalk with Shadow Lock conversing happily with him before they enter a car and drive off.)

(Young Flash and Shadow Lock stand across from each other in a room of the decaying Duel Sanctuary. Both wield black duel disk as Flash's blue energy blade and Shadow's black energy blade come out.)

(Flash stands outside the sanctuary and stares down the stairs as he imagines a transparent version of his brother running up to meet him before he vanishes. Rather than be sad, Flash gives a small smile before walking back inside.)

(Teen Flash gets off his duel runner and looks back at the transparent version of his younger self who smiles and gives him a thumbs up before vanishing. Flash smiles and puts his hands in his pockets before walking onto the grounds of the large complex.)

(Flash looks up at the building as he draws closer to the entrance with a look of resolve. He stops as transparent version of the Humane 6 as their current ages appear before him. Flash nods to them before they vanish. He then walks into the building.)

Training Room
Flash and Zack stood across from Blaze while Twilight, Celestia, Astral, and Luna stood back to observe.

“Blaze Sol. The 2nd best duelist in the world.” Zack thought. “Her Salamangreat deck is no joke. Win or lose, even with a partner… especially with a partner… I’ll gain valuable data.”

“Blaze Sol.” Flash thought. “She’s just under the Duel Phenomenon. If I can beat her and her Salamangreats with a partner, then perhaps I’ll stand a chance against him. Shining, I never could beat you when we trained under my father, but things are different now.”

“I may not know what you two are thinking completely, but I understand one thing clearly from your eyes.” Blaze gave them a bored smile. “You’re thinking you’ll be taking on my Salamangreat deck, right?”

“Salamangreat?” Astral questioned. “That sounds like a weird name for a deck?”

“Perhaps it is, but that is also the name of a powerful deck.” Twilight stated getting his attention. “Blaze isn’t 2nd best for nothing. It’s a deck of varying, powerful effects. Monster’s, spells, traps, and almost every extra summoning method you can think of.”

“Big deal.” Astral crossed his arms. “My deck can do almost every method to.”

“That may be Mr. Flare, but Blaze’s deck is an archetype which can do that as opposed to a deck most people couldn’t pull off like you can.” Luna stated.

“Blaze has exceptional skills to go with that deck.” Celestia stated. “As things stand on her record, she only has two losses out of the many duels she’s played.”

“Really?” Astral looked at Blaze. “Hard to believe someone who only cares about their entertainment could be that great.”

Flash and Zack shared a look before turning their attention to Blaze.

“You mean you aren’t going to use your Salamangreats?” Zack question curiously.

“While I could beat the two of you with them, I’ve acquired a deck, not to long before today, that I’ve been wanting to try out.” Blaze replied. “A deck I believe can finally beat Shining Armor.” She took out a deck and put it into a gray duel disk. “You two will experience it firsthand.”

“If you’re not using Salamangreats, then what deck are you using?” Flash asked.

He didn’t know if the duelist would answer, but it was worth a shot.

“I have no problem talking about my deck since it’s one no one else can get their hands on.” Blaze stated. “In addition, the other 7 decks, that are anything like it, were stolen almost two years prior.”

“Seven decks plus the one she claims to have makes eight.” Twilight was thinking on it before coming to an answer. “That deck is one of the eight Orichalcos based decks made by Stygian himself.”

“Those decks.” Flash was thinking back to the last time he saw his father’s office. “There were three keys needed to access them, and father had been entrusted with one before it was stolen. In fact, that key was the only thing stolen from the entire building.”

Astral noticed that everyone seemed to know what this Orichalcos thing was; however, he was clueless. “I think someone’s going to need to fill me in here because I’m lost.”

“During the 1st King of Games’ time there was an event rumored to have taken place. Some families have their old members who tell them of it.” Zack explained.” They speak of souls being devoured and real monsters on multiple occasions.”

“All of it was caused by stones of power which produce a card that could take souls.” Twilight continued. “The Seal of Orichalcos. The world was on the brink of destruction, but it is said that the King of Games forever defeated the seal.”

“No one knows if this event happened, but after my uncle bought out Industrial Illusions, he managed to find the card’s data buried deep in the old systems.” Flash stated.

“He made cards based around that data.” Blaze stated. “8 decks modeled off 8 exceptional duelists. When seven were stolen, Stygian invited the 10 best in the world to compete for the last deck. He figured a strong duelist could keep it safe. Shining didn’t show, but I did.”

“Is someone like her really that strong?” Astral thought. “At first, I thought she was arrogant without a reason and boasting her skills. That doesn’t seem to be the person she is.” He clenched his fist. “I’ll need to work hard to reach that level of power.”

“A deck few have ever seen then.” Zack put his deck into his duel disk. “An even better observation opportunity than I imagined. Let’s see what power a deck based on a rumored story possess.”

“If I want to reach the top, I can’t let anything you’ve said intimidate me.” Flash put his deck in his duel disk. “Let’s see how strong you can be with a new deck.”

“Here I was hoping you’d quit after hearing that, Zack.” Blaze gave them another, bored smile. “Oh well, we might as well get this over with.”

The three of them drew their starting hands. “Let’s Duel!”

(Flash 4000 & Zack 4000/Blaze 4000)

“Just to make this a little fairer, I won’t draw this first turn, I will take a turn after each of you goes, and only those who have had their first turn are eligible to be attacked.” Blaze stated. “Sound good?”

“Sounds fine by me.” Zack stated.

Flash nodded. “I have no complaints.”

Blaze began her move. “I will summon Orichalcos Prism(LV 2/600/0).” A green, prism appeared floating on her field. “Whenever I summon one, I can special summon two more from my hand or deck.” Orichalcos Prism(LV 2/600/0)x2.”

“Whoa, three monsters in one turn.” Astral didn’t want to be impressed, but he couldn’t help it. “At least they’re weak.”

“I have a feeling they weren’t special summoned without intent.” Twilight stated.

“Now, I activate their first effect.” Blaze declared. “In exchange for not attacking, which I can’t do this turn, each prism deals my opponents half their attack. Three Prisms means you both take 900 life points of damage.”

(Flash 3100 & Zack 3100/Blaze 4000)

“The duel has only started, yet we’ve both lost 900 life points.” Flash thought. “What’s worse is those two prisms came from the deck leaving her with four cards in hand.”

“What a powerful card.” Zack thought. “By her own words, that’s only one of their effects. What else are they capable of? What else is that deck capable of?”

“I’ll end my turn with two set cards.” Blaze pointed at Flash. “You’re the only duelist I’m interest in, so you go next.”

“Is that okay with you Zack?” Flash asked.

“Me and my deck are fine going whenever.” Zack stated. “I have no objections.”

“Alright then.” Flash drew. “I’m setting my scales with Scale 4 Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Scale 4 Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon.” A red dragon with bone armor and a purple dragon with bone armor appeared within blue pillars.

“What?” Astral questioned. “Those two monsters have the exact same scale meaning he’s not going to be able to summon anything.”

“Remember Astral, Pendulum monsters are more than their scales.” Luna stated. “They can also have their own, unique effects while in the Pendulum zone.”

“I think Flash is planning something big with those two monsters.” Twilight nodded. “I saw it when he summoned those two dragons against me, and I see it now.”

“I now activate Pendulum Card Burst to destroy the two dragons, who are pendulum monsters, and draw two cards. I’ll then set my scales with Scale 3 Xiangke Knight and Scale 8 Xiangsheng Knight.”

A warrior in white with green accented armor and wielding a duel bladed sword with a shield in the middle appeared alongside a female warrior in white armor with red accents and a bow. “Swing pendulum of my soul. Carve an arc through space and time.

Pendulum summon Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(LV 7/2500/2000) and Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon(LV 7/2500/2000). These monsters together, two sides of the same coin, are some of the favorites in my deck.”

“Favorites, huh?” Blaze managed a small smile. “I’ll admit it’s interesting to see monsters like them in play, but it’s not all that impressive.”

“Just you wait because these monsters can lead to so many from my extra deck. Observe as
I overlay my two level 7 monsters. Dragon with dichromatic eyes and spirt of the frozen tundra descend. Xyz summon Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon(R 7/O 2/2800/2000).”

A brown dragon with armor and scales of ice appeared roaring.

“There’s the Xyz summon.” Luna stated. “Fusion, Xyz, Synchro, and Pendulum. Considering he’s only missing Links, this is an impressive showing.”

“Man, where did that guy train?” Astral smiled. “Seeing everything he can do is making me want to challenge him.”

“That’s a little better, but what will you do now?” Blaze questioned.

“Now, I’ll go on the offensive.” Flash declared. “Absolute Dragon destroy one of those crystals with Absolute Breath.”

“I activate the first of my face downs called Orichalcos Redirect.” Blaze called out. “So long as I do not declare you, I can change an attack to any monster or player on the field. I’ll change your target to attack Zack directly.”

The breath attack hit an invisible force field before bouncing off heading for Zack. “Since it’s a trap, it bypasses the ruling that I can’t be attacked this turn.” He nodded. “A powerful card.”

“Well, I didn’t think I’d have to use Absolute’s effect like this, but I can’t be the cause for Zack losing so many life points.” Flash held out his hand. “I activate Absolute Dragon’s effect. By detaching one overlay unit, I can negate any attack including my own. Ice Shield!”

Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon(R 7/O 1/2800/2000)

Odd-Eyes glowed with ice blue energy as it erected a shield of ice before Zack protecting him. “Thank you, Flash.” He nodded genuinely. “I know plenty of duelist who would not have sacrificed their overlay units as you have.”

“That’s just stupid.” Flash gave him a thumbs up. “We may have never worked together, but we are partners now. In a duel like this, partners should help each other if they can.”

“Aptly put… partner.” Zack stated.

“I must say, you’re starting to be every bit as entertaining as I assumed.” Blaze nodded. “Is that all or do you have something else?”

“I set a card.” Flash stated. “It’s you’re go.”

“I draw.” Blaze drew. “I activate my Prism’s second effect. By tributing one after the other, each one brings out any monster I choose from my deck; however, the monster summoned through this effect has its ATK 0’d out, can’t attack, and can’t change positions.

In addition, they must be summoned in ATK mode. I choose to summon three copies of Blue-Eyes Orichalcos Dragon(LV 8/0/2500 effect).” Three green dragons with blue eyes appeared on the field weekly roaring at the opponents.

“I was wondering what duelists my uncle ended up basing those decks on.” Flash looked at the three dragons. “I guess I have my answer.”

“On that note, you now have three monsters with no ATK.” Zack shook his head. “I refuse to believe that is all there is to your move.”

“If anything, at least you have intelligence going for you.” Blaze held out a card. “I activate Orichalcos Fusion and use it to combine all three of my Blue-Eyes. Dragons born from the Orichalcos come together to create one of three powerful forms.

Fusion Summon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Orichalcos Dragon(LV 12/4500/3800).” A huge, three headed green dragon appeared roaring. “Next, I activate his special ability. Once per turn, I can banish one Extra Deck Monster of the same level and he can attack three times.”

“Three times for one banishment!” Flash shouted.

“The powerful cards just keep coming.” Zack looked at his hand. “Unfortunately, I don’t have any cards in my hand that can prevent any of the attacks. Sorry Flash, but you’re on your own for this barrage.”

“Talk about powerful.” Astral stated. “I wonder if Flash can even stand up to that?”

“If he were the Flash I remember, I’d have to say no.” Twilight looked at Flash and saw him when he was younger. “After my duel with him, I have faith in his skills.” She now saw him as his present self. “He can do this.”

“We shall see Twilight.” Celestia stated.

“You’re the only one I can attack, so let’s get started.” Blaze declared. “Ultimate Dragon attack Absolute Dragon with Orichalcos Neutron Blast!” The three heads all fired as one on Absolute Dragon destroying him (Flash 1400).”

“You just activated the effect of Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon.” Flash declared. “If he’s sent to the grave, I can special summon any Odd-Eyes monster from my extra deck as long as it’s not Absolute Dragon.”

“I counter with my remaining face down Orichalcos Shield.” Blaze declared. “This handy little trap can negate any one effect be it monster, spell, or trap. Now, attack Flash directly Ultimate Dragon. Orichalcos Neutron Blast!”

“I activate my face down Rank-Up-Magic Dragon’s Rebirth.” Flash declared. “This little quick play spell can resurrect my Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon(R 7/O 0/2800/2000) before allowing me to rebuild the overlay network and summon a monster 1 rank higher.

Dragon with dichromatic eyes and spirt of the frozen tundra evolve into a dragon capable of freezing even the sun. Rank Up: Xyz Change Odd-Eyes Subzero Dragon(R 8/O 1/3300/2500) in defense mode.” A colossal black dragon with bulky, ice scales appeared roaring.

“He just ranked up his monster.” Astral grinned. “Seeing that gets me pumped up.”

He didn’t even care that Flash had ranked up his own monster because Astral wasn’t petty. It’s not like he owned the concept of ranking up anyways. If anything, everything Flash was doing made the guy want to take him on even more.

“Impressive.” Luna stated. “He ranked up and on his opponent’s turn.”

“Quite the well thought out play.” Celestia concurred.

“My dragon’s attack target will become Subzero Dragon.” Blaze declared.

“Like Absolute, Subzero can detach 1 overlay unit to negate an attack.” Flash declared. “Ice Shield!”

Odd-Eyes Subzero Dragon(R 8/O 0/3300/2500)

Subzero roared as a shield of ice appeared before him absorbing the dragon’s blast.

“With my final attack, I shall destroy Subzero Dragon.” Blaze declared. “Go. Orichalcos Neutron Blast.”

Subzero tried to hold his ground, but the blast was just too much.

Flash held out his hand. “When Subzero is destroyed, I can target an Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon(R 7/O 0/2800/2000) from my grave or extra deck and special summon them to the field. I’ll choose the one in my grave and play him in defense mode.”

“Exactly as I thought.” Blaze chuckled. “You really are a challenge. I activate the effect of Orichalcos Fusion from my grave. By banishing it, I can choose any monster in my grave and banish it along with any other card that shares its name.

For every card banished this way, I draw a card. I have two different sets of three I can pick, so I’ll go with all my prisms granting me three more cards.” She drew. “I’ll then set two cards ending my turn. Your move other guy.”

“Careful Blaze.” Zack drew. “You continue to underestimate this other guy, and it may just be your undoing.”

“Sorry to interrupt.” Blaze wasn’t about to fall into a battle of words with him. “I’m just going to activate my first face down Regeneration of Orichalcos. By tributing an Orichalcos monster, I can gain life points equal to that monster’s ATK. I choose Ultimate Dragon.”

A light green circle appeared around Ultimate Dragon causing it to dissolve into green particles which rained down on Blaze (Blaze 8500).

“Like she even needs more life points.” Astral crossed his arms. “What’s more, she’s left herself undefended.”

“Don’t be so sure.” Celestia stated. “If there’s one thing Luna and I know, it’s that Blaze doesn’t make unnecessary moves.”

“These past few duels have pushed me out of the comfort zone. Normally, I’m not one for the big plays, but these instances make them more of a necessity.” Zack nodded. “First, I activate Polymerization. With it, I will fuse Predaplants Banksiogre and Chlamydosundew.

Two plants come together to create a dragon of true toxicity. Fusion summon Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(LV 8/2800/2000).” A large and vicious purple dragon appeared roaring. “Now, I activate Monster Reborn to revive Predaplant Banksiogre(LV 6/2000/100) to the field.”

An ogrish looking plant appeared. “I’ll couple it with Predaprunning allowing me to resurrect Predaplant Chlamydosundew(LV 2/600/200).” A plant lizard appeared. “I then summon Predaplant Flytrap(LV 2/400/800).” A Venus flytrap appeared.

“Four monsters all in one turn.” Blaze shrugged. “None of them are anything to write home about. I hope this isn’t all you got.”

“I would have preferred some traps in my hand, but a duelist can’t always get everything from their deck.” Zack commented. “Still, with these monsters I can achieve something. First, I will tune my flytrap using Banksiorgre to Synchro for 8.

“Diabolic dragon of wicked power grace this field with your presence. Synchro summon Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons(LV 8/3000/3000).” A twin headed, brown, and monstrous dragon appeared. “Next, I activate Chlamydosundew’s own effect to essentially act as Polymerization.

I will fuse himself with Fusion Dragon to take my dragon one step higher. Dragon of toxicity greedily hordes power to become something more. Fusion Summon Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon(LV 10/3300/2500).” A light blue dragon with poison colored wings appeared.

“A synchro and fusion.” Astral declared. “I didn’t even think he could synchro summon.”

“Looks like Blaze is drawing out Zack’s best.” Luna stated. “To think we’d have gathered such powerful duelist.”

“We worked hard to find the gems, and it panned out sister.” Celestia nodded. “This duel isn’t over yet, so I suggest we see how much further they can go.”

“Alright, let’s do this Beelze.” Blaze stated. “Attack with Hell’s Carnival!” The two dragons roared as they began to spin with the body becoming a blur before smashing into Blaze (Blaze 5500). “Greedy Venom hit her with Toxicity Devastation!”

The dragon roared before firing its breath attack at Blaze’s feet, and it began to build up into a geyser.

“I reveal my face down Counter Gate.” Blaze declared. “This trap negates your direct attack, and I get to draw one card. If it’s a monster, I can normal summon it. Let’s hope for something below level 5.” She drew. “Not a monster. Oh well.”

“Looks like I got nothing left this turn.” Zack nodded. “I end my turn.”

(Flash 1400 & Zack 3100/Blaze 5500)

“Looks like it’s my turn.” Blaze drew. “I’ll summon Orichalcos Lord(LV 4/1200/1100).” A spellcaster wearing green bone armor appeared. “I’ll then activate his effect. By discarding my Tuner monster, Sword of the Orichalcos, Lord becomes a Tuner monster himself.

On top of that, I can special summon an Orichalcos monster from my deck. I’ll choose Blue-Eyes Shining Orichalcos(LV 8/4500/2500 effect).” A green, shining version of the earlier Orichalcos Dragons appeared.

“His effect grants him 300 ATK for every Orichalcos monster in my grave. He won’t be sticking around because my newly minted Tuner will be giving this dragon a tune up to Synchro for 12. Orichalcos and dragon become one with this ultimate Synchro.

Synchro summon Dragon Spirit of the Orichalcos(LV 12/3800/3000).” A transparent, colossal spirt of the Orichalcos Dragon appeared roaring. “Every turn I can declare one of three effects, and for the rest of the turn, those effects can’t be used from the field. I choose monster.”

“Well, this may be troubling but fascinating at the same time.” Zack thought. “This is the power of one of the five, and she’s still going.”

“First a fusion of immense power and now a synchro.” Flash was starting at the dragon. “Man, what a powerful deck.”

“That’s not all because I’m activating The Seal of Orichalcos which boast quite the slew of effects, but the most important one, for the moment, is the fact that it raises my monster’s ATK’s by 500.”

Blaze declared as the seal appeared around the duelists and on the head of Dragon Spirit of the Orichalcos(LV 12/4300/3000 effect). “I’ll couple that with my spirit’s effect. By banishing a monster in my grave, he gains ATK equal to the banished monster’s until the end of the turn.

I’ll banish my Blue-Eyes Ultimate Orichalcos Dragon for the effect boosting Dragon Spirit of the Orichalcos(LV 12/6550/3000 effect).” Flash was shocked while Zack was studying that monster. “This is your end in this duel guy.”

“I figured as much.” Zack knew Blaze was referring to him. “Win or lose, it doesn’t matter to me.”

“Oh really?” Blaze gave a small smile. “I’ll be sure to keep that in mind when choosing duelist to compete against other teams. I mean, I may seek entertainment, but the greatest entertainment is victory. I won’t let your lack of wanting the win hold me back.”

“Okay, come on.” Astral stated. “Surely she can’t do that at least.” He turned to the owners. “You guys want a team, right?”

“Calm down Astral.” Celestia stated. “Of course, we want a team, and rest assured Zack will duel. That said, Blaze’s word does carry weight.”

“Just look at what she’s achieved so far.” Luna stated. “Her skills were no exaggeration on anyone’s part.”

“I have to agree with that.” Twilight stated. “Her skills are up there with Shining Armor’s.”

“Well, I guess I’ll take the victory where I can get it.” Astral sighed. “Still stinks though.”

Blaze pointed at her monster. “Dragon Spirit, attack Greedy Venom with Spiritual Orichalcos Blast!” The attack washed over Greed Venom utterly decimating the monster who couldn’t even activate its own effect due to Spirit’s other effect (Zack 0)(Flash 1400/Blaze 5500).

“Looks like this is the end for me.” Zack took Beelze of his duel disk before turning to Flash. “Hey Sentry, catch.”

Zack threw the card and Flash caught it. “Zack?”

“Blaze didn’t really lie down a lot of ground rules, so I’ll just assume any cards I had in play are yours to use.” Zack nodded. “I’ll still be standing here, but it’s up to you to continue the duel.” He turned back to the field. “Continue to push her so that I may observe.”

“Alright, I’ll do my best to show her our power Zack.” Flash put Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons(LV 8/3000/3000) on his duel disk. “You have anything else Blaze or is it my turn?”

“Yes, I believe that is all I have for this turn.” Blaze declared. “Your move.”

Dragon Spirit of the Orichalcos(LV 12/4300/3000 effect)

“Alright, I draw!” Flash drew determined to win this. “Looks like I’ll be summoning something I don’t really get the chance to. First, I activate Xiangke’s pendulum effect to bestow a level onto Absolute Dragon equal to his rank until the end of the turn.”

Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon(LV 7/O 0/2800/2000)

“Did Flash just grant an Xyz monster a level?” Twilight didn’t think that was possible.

“He did, but I’m not sure what good it does.” Astral stated. “Beelze is still a level 8 monster.”

“Now, I’m going to use Xiangsheng’s pendulum effect.” Flash declared. “As long as I control two monsters, I can make their levels the same as one of the two. I will target Beelze and make his level equal to Absolute Dragons.”

Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons(LV 7/3000/3000).

“It’s time.” Flash declared. “I overlay my Absolute Dragon with Zack’s Beelze. Diabolic dragon and dragon with dichromatic eyes lend your power to create something new. “Did he just summon a monster that’s both Pendulum and Xyz?” Twilight asked.

“Did he just summon it using an Xyz monster?” Astral ask.

“Oh my, he may be stronger than I thought.” Celestia stated.

Luna nodded. “I’ll say sister.”

“Impressive.” Zack thought. “Flash will definitely be a duelist to watch.”

“It’s official.” Blaze was looking at the monster. “You are the challenging one of this group.”

“Since your monster’s effect wore off at the end of your turn, it’s time to activate my dragon’s special ability.” Flash declared. “By detaching one overlay unit, I can half your monster’s ATK and grant my monster those lost ATK points until the end of the turn. My life points also go up by the same amount. Anthelion, use Dark Absorption on Dragon Spirit of the Orichalcos.”

“Dark Anthelion destroy Dragon Spirit of the Orichalcos with Darkness Absolution!” Flash declared.

Dark Anthelion roared as black lighting surged around him before collecting at the mouth. The dragon then breathed the lighting at Dragon Spirit causing it to shatter (Flash 3550/Blaze 2500).

“Not bad at all.” Blaze stated with her usual tone.

“Zack and I have put everything out there, yet she’s not shaken in the slightest. Is this just who she is or is she not worried at all?” Flash took a deep breath. “I set one card before ending my turn.”

Blaze drew and gave a small smile. “Looks like this is the end.”

“Why do I not like the sound of that?” Flash questioned.

“Since I control The Seal of Orichalcos, I can special summon my second copy of Sword of the Orichalcos(LV 4/500/1900 effect).” A greed bladed sword appeared. “I’ll then normal summon Ritual Shield of the Orichalcos(LV 4/2400/0 effect).” A green shield appeared.

“Now, it is time for the ultimate summon.” She took a card from her hand and inserted it into the disk. “I invoke the power of Miracle Soul Division & Combine. With this, I divide the souls of my two monsters into three pairs.”

The two monsters before Flash suddenly became six green tomoe grouped up into three pairs. Suddenly, he heard agonized screams coming from somewhere which caused him to frantically look around.

“Those screams… someone’s in pain.” As Flash looked around, no one really seemed to be reacting like him. “What is this?”

“Flash Sentry?” Zack’s eyebrow raised in confusion. “What’s the matter with him?”

Twilight noticed that something was freaking her friend out. “Flash, are you okay?”

“Miracle Soul Division and Combine?” Astral crossed his arms. “By the way Flash is acting, you’d think he’s had a bad experience with this card or something.”

“I think Flash may be weirder than I assumed. Whatever.” Blaze held out her hand. “Each pair can now be used to perform a specific summon. I invoke a Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz summon. The Xyz monster will gains two units from cards within my deck.

Knight of the Orichalcos with a blade powered by the seal I invoke your power. Fusion Summon Blade Knight of the Orichalcos(LV 8/2500/2000 effect),” A green armored knight appeared wielding a blade and shield.

Chaotic dragon of the Orichalcos I invoke your power. Synchro Summon Chaos Emperor Dragon-Envoy of the Orichalcos(LV 8/3500/2500 effect).” A bipedal green dragon with bone armor appeared.

Dragon born from the seal and who shines with radiance I invoke your power. Xyz Summon Luster Dragon of the Orichalcos(R 4/O 2/2900/1400 effect).” A dragon with a shining green body appeared.

There was one last scream of agony before it ceased, but by this point, Flash had pinpointed where it came from. “That was Blaze’s monsters?” Flash looked at his deck. “Did that card bring the duel spirits here to make that summon possible?”

“I’ve seen some big plays today, but that might just take the cake.” Astral stated with wide eyes. “She did all three of those extra deck methods with three cards total.”

“I know.” Twilight stated. “I thought only Shining could do anything like this.”

“My word.” Celestia stated. “That new deck has brought Blaze to a new level of dueling.”

“I concur sister” Luna nodded. “Makes me glad she is our duelist.”

Blaze continued her turn. “I activate Luster Dragon of the Orichalcos’ effect. By detaching an overlay unit, I can destroy one card you control.” Luster Dragon of the Orichalcos(R 4/O 1/2900/1400 effect). “I choose your face down card.

Next, I activate my Chaos Emperor’s effect. Normally, I’d have to pay life points for it, but with the seal in play, the cost is waved. Now, I can pick a card you control, shuffle it into the deck, and apply an effect based on the card I send back. I’ll choose Dark Anthelion.”

“No!” Flash looked at his monster as it vanished into a worm hole. “Anthelion!”

“You were a worthy opponent at least. Very entertaining; however, this duel now reaches its end.” Blaze declared. “All three of my monsters will attack you directly with Orichalcos Slash, Breath, and Claws respectively.”

Blade Knight slashed, Chaos Emperor let loose a stream of green energy, and Lust dragon thrust its claws (Flash 0/Blaze 2500).

“So, that is the strength of one of the Big 5?” Flash thought in shock.

Zack pushed his glasses up. “So, that is the power possessed by the Big 5.”

“Man, that was intense.” Astral smiled. “Never could see something like that back home.”

Sure, he was bummed that the mini tourney was over, but he wouldn’t let that get him down. It’s not like he couldn’t duel Twilight another time after today.

“No kidding.” Twilight stated. “Reminds me a lot of Shining’s duels with stronger duelist.”

“That’s the end.” Blaze stated. “Per our agreement, no more duels for today, the tournament is over, and I get to rank you. Flash 2, Twilight 3, Astral 4, and Zack is 5 for interfering. You had no drive to win, so consider it your penalty.”

With that, Blaze walked out of the building.
