It was Friday morning at Sunset’s apartment and both herself and Twilight were fast asleep in bed.
The previous night, Sunset tried to commit suicide over what happened a week prior with the Memory Stone Incident. She almost did it, until Twilight stopped her. After a bit of talking and reasoning with her, it helped Sunset feel much better. They even confessed their feelings for each other, which were a solid win-win for the both of them.
It was close to eight in the morning, and the two friends were still sound asleep, stirring a bit in their sleep.
Twilight opened up her eyes as the sun from a nearby window started to shine on her face. She managed to block it with her right hand before looking over to see her best friend, now girlfriend Sunset Shimmer, who was silently sleeping like a child.
Sunset still hadn’t let go of Twilight since they both fell asleep the previous night, which made Twilight smile while looking at her girlfriend.
As she looked down at Sunset who was holding onto her tightly, Twilight moved a bit of her hair out of Sunset’s face looking at her happily.
“I’m glad I saved you Sunset. You mean a lot to me. You don’t know how I’d feel if you were gone. Since you saved me from me during the Friendship Games, with my fear of magic and Midnight Sparkle, and even my stress with the change I was dealing with. Even if you're from another world, I still love you.”
Twilight soon got very closer to Sunset and kissed her forehead lightly. A minute later Sunset woke up and looked straight at Twilight for a few seconds, before Twilight leaped out of bed in surprise, tripped, and fell onto the floor.
“Twilight!”
Sunset immediately got out of bed to help her friend up.
She offered her hand to her friend which Twilight graciously accepted, following the jumpscare she had given her.
“I'm sorry Twilight. Are you o-”
But just when they thought they were in the clear, they noticed that neither one of them was wearing a shirt, showing off their breasts. They screamed at each other before searching for their shirts and putting them on as fast as possible. That was until they realized they grabbed the wrong ones when they putting them back on, as Sunset was wearing Twilight’s and Twilight was wearing Sunset's. They decided to deal with it for the moment as they sat next to each other on the side of the bed, feeling quite embarrassed while they each looked down at their feet.
“Sunset, did we do anything last night after we went to bed? I can’t remember anything besides you not letting go of me like a stuffed animal?” Twilight asked, moving a bit of hair out of her face.
“I don’t think we did at the top of my head. I just remember removing my shirt and jacket because of how hot I was getting. I can't remember the last time I shared a bed with someone. So that's likely what happened.” Sunset replied, playing with her messy bed hair.
“That’s exactly what I did too.”
The two girls stared back at each other, blushing red cheeks again before going exchanging a good laugh.
“Guess we have a lot more to learn about each other if we're gonna be in a relationship now,” Sunset said, grabbing ahold of Twilight’s hand.
“Yeah. I mean, it seems like we have similar morning routines as well, don’t you think?” Twilight replied, a slight blush on her face.
“Yep, seems like it. Say, do you want to have breakfast now? I’m getting pretty hungry.”
“Sure thing, but do you mind if I cook? I know that I’m your guest and you should be serving me, but it’s the least I can offer after saving your life. Not to mention confessing my feelings for you,” Twilight said, as she placed her left hand on Sunset’s shoulder.
“Sure thing Twilight. Just use what you need in my kitchen.”
“Thanks. Oh, and can I have my shirt back?”
“Oh right, sorry. And I'd like mine back as well!”
They both giggled for a second before they changed their shirts and Twilight grabbed her glasses as she headed down to the kitchen to start on breakfast.
A little while later, after Twilight had made them pancakes, they sat down at Sunset’s small dinner table, eating their breakfast with a glass of orange juice each to wash it down. It was silent for the first few minutes before Twilight broke the silence, nearly knocking her glass of orange juice onto her lap.
“Oh crap, I forgot!”
“You forgot what?”
“I didn’t send a message to my parents last night or this morning if it’s alright I can stay with you for the weekend!!! They had stuff planned and I-”
“Twilight! Look at me.”
Twilight looked deep into Sunset’s cyan eyes after getting her attention.
“Breath in. And out. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out.”
After her little breathing session was over Twilight started to feel much better.
“Feeling better?”
“A little. Sometimes I don’t know how to control my anxiety like you. Thanks, Sunset.”
“I just know how to help someone in need in a situation like this, especially my best friend. Or should I say girlfriend now? Getting back to your parents, I’m sure they’ll allow it. They trust me and know me very well. Just go and send them a message and see what they say. I won’t be going anywhere. Everything will be fine, trust me.”
"If you say so Sunset," Twilight said adjusting her glasses.
After finding her phone that was still in the skirt she wore yesterday, she sent her mom a message, with an instant reply in seconds.
A few minutes later she sat back down at the table with Sunset, who was just about done with her pancakes as she took a sip of her orange juice.
“Well, what did they say?”
“They said it’s alright. As long as I keep them updated every few hours I’ll be good to go.”
“That’s perfect Twi. So um, did you still want to do those things you mentioned last night? You know the shopping, going to the beach, seeing a movie, and perhaps getting dinner too?”
“Yes of course Sunset! But why don’t we save the movie for another day? For now, let’s just do those other three things today, just the two of us. We head to the mall to do some shopping and maybe buy a few things. Then we can head down to the beach. And then come back here and have a nice dinner date. That good with you?” Twilight asks as she took a bite of her pancake.
“Sounds good. We better get dressed first if we're heading to the mall first. It opens in half an hour.”
“Sounds good Sun- Oh wait I forgot something else!”
“What is it now Twilight?” Sunset asked as she put her hand on Twilight.
“I don’t have any clean clothes to wear. And my house is a 20-minute walk from here. I can’t head there and back in under 10 minutes unless I run as fast as Rainbow! Although I'm a terrible runner compared to her.”
“Don’t worry. You can borrow some of mine. I’ve got some that you can use.”
“Are you sure you're fine with that Sunset?”
“Yes, Twilight. If you allowed me to wear your jacket after saving my life, then you can borrow some of my clothes. Fair enough?”
“Yeah, that seems fair.”
“Alright, now come on, let’s find you something that you’ll be fine wearing. At least be glad I don’t have a Crystal Prep uniform sitting around.”
“Oh shut up. I know you don’t.”
“You never know what you'll find?”
After getting dressed and Sunset lending some of her clothes to Twilight they headed off to the mall via Sunset’s motorcycle.
Twilight held onto Sunset tight as she could while they zoomed down the road. She felt her hair moving freely in the morning breeze. It felt nice, even if she was wearing a helmet.
After parking, they entered the mall holding hands together and locking their eyes, before sitting down on a bench to discuss a few things.
“Thanks for lending me some clothes Sunset.”
“No problem Twilight. What are friends for? Besides, now that we’re in a relationship, you can borrow any of my clothes anytime you come over.” Sunset replied, softly punching her in the arm, making Twilight blush in the process.
Twilight was wearing a blue sweater with a white collared shirt underneath, a dark purple tartan skirt that was identical to the one she wore at Crystal Prep, a pair of long light blue socks, her shoes she wore the previous night, and her geode around her neck.
As for Sunset, she was wearing a plain green t-shirt, a blue and green tartan pattern skirt, black leggings, her new jacket Twilight gave her, her current boots she wore, her geode around her neck, and lastly her signature bookbag on her left shoulder.
“So where should we start first?”
“Why not that one? Seems like they got some sales.”
“Great. Let’s go!” Twilight said and grabbed Sunset’s hand as they ran toward the store, about to start a great weekend together, as they started their first official date.
Sunset and Twilight were happy they were getting to spend some time together, and they knew that this weekend was gonna be a blast of fun!

The First Date (Updated 1/11/2023)
As Sunset and Twilight entered the store it was buzzing with activity. People were looking at many of the clothes that were on sale, heading to the changing rooms to try clothes on, employees organizing and helping customers and a long line of people at the checkout.
“So where to first?” Sunset asked as she continued to hold Twilight’s hand.
“Why don't we just look around first? We might see something we’ll like then head off to the changing room to see if we like them.”
“Sounds good to me.”
A good half-hour later after going through most of the store looking at and grabbing clothes on sale Sunset and Twilight were making their way toward the changing rooms to try them on.
After finding a stall to change in they each came out every few minutes to check out the clothes they got.
As for what they got let’s have a walkthrough on what Twilight and Sunset had got.
They both each got 4 different outfits to try on as they entered the changing rooms to show each other their outfits.
The first outfit Sunset got comprised of an orange shirt with her cutie mark on it towards the bottom left, a small vest like the one she’s been wearing but with no spikes on it, and a dark pink skirt with an orange stripe going the center.
Next was a blue buttoned-up shirt and a black skirt with light blue lining. It represented something you’d see on a while doing programming that Twilight told her about, which made the skirt more interesting.
Next was a light green dress that was just like the one Rarity gave to Princess Twilight to disguise her.
And the one as another dress but red with sleeves, making it look like she was going to prom.
As Sunset looked at herself in the mirror she thought she looked great in the lovely dress.
“The colors match you Sunset. It almost makes you look like-”
“A princess Twilight. Yes. But as much as I wanted to be one when I was still a pony, I think I’m fine just being an ordinary girl. Plus, I did win it a few times at CHS. But that was all for fun before I got obsessed with doing it. This dress is just to wear for parties and special events. So what did you choose?”
“I'm glad you asked Sunset.”
After Sunset had changed she sat waiting outside of Twilight’s stall to see what her girlfriend chose. Twilight then came out a few seconds later sporting the first outfit she got.
First was a blue argyle sweater vest over her white shirt, followed by a plain dark purple skirt.
Next up was another blue sweater but with 2 purple and pink stripes on the shoulders. Once again she had a purple skirt with that outfit that had her cutie mark on the left and dark pink lining on the bottle.
The next one she chose was a dark purple dress with red stripes, a bow, and pink stars, and the very bottom was see-through with sparkles on it.
And last was a sleeveless light blue dress that Twilight just screamed at when seeing it on a hanger. It was like something out of a fairy story that Twilight knew she needed.
“That dress looks good on you Twi. If you were still dating Timber, he would have loved it.”
“Yeah, he sure would. So you want to head on to a few more stores and then head to the beach?”
“Sure do.”
“But do you mind if we stop by my place to grab some stuff? I don't have my bathing suit on me. And last I checked you only have one.”
“I understand that Twi, let's go.”
After making their two stops to get their bathing suits and drop their new clothes off, the girls headed on down to the beach.
When they arrived it was very hot. They could feel how much they sweated on the journey from Sunset's place just by how greasy their hair felt after removing their helmets.
“Geez. It feels hotter than last week. What was the weather supposed to be today?”
“In the 80s I believe? At least we brought sunscreen and some cold beverages,” Sunset added, tapping on the bag on her shoulder.
“Right. Now let’s go find a spot, then change into our bathing suits.”
“Copy that."
They found a spot and then headed over to the bathrooms to change before coming out minutes later. They were in the same swimsuits they wore the last time they were at the beach with their friends after the Memory Stone Incident. Twilight in her 1 piece swimsuit and Sunset in her two-piece, along with their wearing their matching star sandals.
As they sat down on their towels underneath their umbrella, they applied sunscreen to try not and get sunburnt. Something they were glad they had done since the previous weekend Rainbow Dash forgot to apply some on her back giving her a nasty sunburn. For the remainder of that week, she had trouble moving her back from the tan she got and made sure to always apply it on her back first when at the beach.
“I sure don’t want to end up as Rainbow Dash did.”
“Me neither. Always best to apply sunscreen on a hot day like today. Especially down at the beach or the pool,” replied Twilight.
“So what should we do first?”
“Hmm, why not build a sandcastle? The one I built of Spike was great but it would be nice to do one with you Sunset,” said Twilight blushing.
“Ok then. Let's get building!”
About 20 minutes later they had finished their sandcastle and looked at it with gleam.
“We sure did a good job.”
“Yep, it has 3 floors, a moat, a drawbridge, and several flags,” Twilight answered, glad she knew what they needed for the castle thanks to her research.
“Well, that was fun. But I can sure go for something cold. Want to get some ice cream?”
“Of course. I can use something refreshing after building that sandcastle.”
Sunset and Twilight giggled before venturing off to buy some ice cream.
After getting their ice cream they went back to their spot to enjoy their frozen treats.
Sunset had gotten a Strawberry cone while Twilight got chocolate.
After having their ice cream they washed them down with some water they brought, feeling replenished when they finished off their bottles.
“That hit the spot,” replied Twilight, moving a bit of sweat off her face.
“Yeah, that sure did help. Do you want to go swimming now? I’ve been wanting to do some scuba diving since the sea monster mystery.”
“Sounds good to me. But I didn’t bring any gear. Where are we gonna get some?”
“I saw a booth not far from here you can rent some swimming gear."
"Oh, I didn't know that."
"Come on let’s go,” Sunset said as she grabbed Twilight’s hand as they walked over towards the booth.
After a fun day at the beach, the girls headed back to Sunset’s apartment.
When they arrived back at Sunset’s apartment the first thing they did was take turns showering to get the sunscreen off and sand they got on them. They were also fortunate enough to not get sunburnt but were a few pink spots on their back. But with a little lotion, they'll be ok.
After their showers and a change of clothes, they got started on dinner.
They decided to have their first date at Sunset’s place with a nice meal together.
The two friends were cooking both parts of their dinner for the night making spaghetti and veggie balls. Twilight handled the pasta while Sunset dealt with the veggie balls. Since Sunset was a vegetarian, she didn't like the taste of meat, so instead of spaghetti and meatballs it was veggie balls instead.
After the food was done, put in bowls at the table with parmesan cheese, bread, butter, and sodas on the side they changed into the dresses they got during their shopping trip today.
As they sat down in their respective seats Sunset lit the small candle in the center of the table while Twilight turned on some romantic music on Sunset's radio. Once that was done they prayed for their meal before they began eating.
After a minute goes by Twilight decides to compliment Sunset on the food.
“So Sunset. Did I do well with the seasoning for the spaghetti?” Twilight replied as she took a bite of a veggie ball.
“You did good Twilight. And how are the veggie balls?” Sunset asked while taking a bite of bread.
“They're good. They might be what I'm used to but I don’t mind the taste.”
“Yeah, I’m not the biggest fan of cooking so I often have a lot of frozen food and instant meals.”
“That’s fine, Sunset I understand. It must be hard to deal with money here than in Equestria. Speaking of which I’ve been meaning to ask you this for a while now. But If you don’t want to hear it then I won’t.”
“Um sure Twilight. What is it?” Sunset said, after wiping her face with a napkin.
“Well, since we start our senior year of high school this fall and we’ll be graduating a year from now, have you by any chance yet thought about your future after high school?” Twilight said as she started to sweat with worry.
“Like what Twilight?”
“As in, stay here and attend college or maybe... head back to Equestria?”
The moment Sunset heard those words she went silent. She wasn’t expecting Twilight to bring this up with her, especially on their first date together. She knew she’d ask this question at some point but knew she'd have to answer her friend's question right that moment.
“I never thought of that Twilight. I had been so distracted these last few months with school, our powers, and whenever we dealt with Equestrian Magic. But I, I don’t intend on leaving this place.”
“But how will you survive Sunset? What would you do if you run out of money? You transfer to another job, saving money for future purchases. Who knows what else you might-”
“I DON’T WANT TO LEAVE TWILIGHT!!!”
This made Twilight sink down a bit in her chair as Sunset blushed in embarrassment when realizing what just happened.
“I’m sorry Twilight. I know that I’ve been on my own for the last few years, but truth be told. I’m scared.”
“Scared? Of what?”
Silence rose once again before Sunset felt ready to tell Twilight why she was scared as she turned off the radio in the process.
“The moment you reminded me that when we graduate we’ll be going our separate ways. And, I’m not sure how I’ll be able to deal with the fact that the friends I had for so long, I won’t be seeing every day about a year from now.”
...
“Honesty Sunset. I feel the same.”
“But how Twilight? You had a better childhood than me. What makes it different?”
“Because I didn’t have many friends growing up, and when I was still a student of Crystal Prep. I only had one friend named Moondancer and sadly, she moved to another school four years before I met you and the girls at the Friendship Games. And honestly, after all the fun I’ve had with you six, I don’t want to say goodbye either.” Twilight said as a tear fell down her face.
“Why don't we change out of these dresses and then talk some more about it, ok? I promise. Once we’ve cleaned up we can talk more about this. I need a few minutes to think this over, change into my pajamas, and put the food away. You got that Twi?”
Twilight looked up at Sunset who smiled when looking into her eyes just as the candle was blown out.
Twilight knew she needed some time to think as well so she went with it as she nodded in reply before getting up to change out of her dress.
About 20 minutes passed after the two girls put away the food and changed into the normal attire they wore earlier in the day. After they sat back down together on the couch neither felt like looking at the other for the first few minutes. That was til Sunset decided to break the silence as she looked at her girlfriend sitting next to her.
“I’m sorry how I reacted to your question earlier Twilight. I wasn't thinking like I normally do before I yelled at you. I wasn’t sure what to do.”
“And I’m sorry I brought it up. It’s just, I have never had friends I care for and love to be with so much since transferring to CHS a few months ago. And especially getting to know you made me just want to not lose you.”
“I don’t want to either. Even if my human counterpart might still out there, I don’t want to leave this place. I often miss Equestria with its magic and being a unicorn over a human. But since coming to this world, I have found a new place to call home. Ever since I got to know the girls more and I felt like I had found another family I care about. Sure there’s been a few rough moments now and then I still enjoy it. And when you came in. Sniff. It became even better."
Tears had now started to form on Sunset’s face.
“I don’t want to say goodbye to them. I at least want someone to stay with me after graduation. Like you Twilight.”
“I feel the same as you do Sunset. I want to continue to learn more about you, go to new places and make new memories. Even if you weren’t born or grew up here. But it does exist, deep down in my heart.” Twilight now was having the waterworks herself just thinking about her future without her friends.
“Oh, Twilight. There are many reasons why I love you. You're smart, and fun to be around, and our group wouldn't be the same without you.” shared Sunset.
This made Twilight feel a sign of hope. They soon came together for a hug as the two friends released their tears crying into each other's shoulder before they finished it and looked into each other's eyes.
After wiping away the tears that had soaked their shirts, they started to feel more positive.
“Sunset, I know this relationship of ours is new, but I don’t want to let it end. Sure, it’s only been almost twenty-four hours since we started dating, but I want you to stay by my side once we're done with high school. Heck, maybe even move in with you or you move in with my family. But for now, there’s one thing I don’t want to happen. Going our separate ways.”
“I don’t either Twilight.”
“Even if our first time meeting was weird I’m glad I did meet you and our friends. If I never met you and the girls I wouldn’t have this new life you’ve given me. I'd still be at Crystal Prep in my lab with Spike all day long working alone.”
“And if I wouldn’t meet you Twilight, I wouldn’t have felt this much happiness.”
The two girls then smiled at each other before going into another hug. Knowing that they managed to reason everything out after a not-so-great dinner date.
They then looked back into each other’s eyes whipping the leftover tears that were still on their faces before smiling at each other once again.
“I love you Twilight.”
“I love you Sunset.”
They both go into a kiss that they enjoyed very much before laying down on the couch together.
“Are you sure we can work this out? You know, dating, and perhaps you or me move into another place?”
“We probably might. But for now, we have plenty of time to think.”
“As long as I have you, I’ll be ok.”
“And if I have you, I’ll be too.”
The girls soon go into a burst of laughter before spending the rest of the night with a movie and snuggling together on the couch.

Later that night as they got into bed together they looked at each other happily while getting under the covers. They were just in their bra and panties this evening as they didn't feel like wearing their pajamas this time.
“So, what do you hope tomorrow has in store Sunset?”
“I don’t know Twilight. Maybe meet up with the girls and confess we’re dating. Tell your parents were in a relationship. I honestly don't know.”
“Maybe it's best we keep it a secret for a while. For now, let’s be happy we got each other.”
“Right. Hey, you know how last night you gave me that gift.”
“Yeah what about it?” Twilight said as she removed her glasses.
“I made something for you as well.”
“Really? What is it Sunset?”
“Hold on, let me go and get it.”
After climbing over Twilight so she could get out of bed and she began digging through her drawer till she found what she was looking for.
“This is what I wanted to give you,” replied Sunset, placing the object in Twilight's hands.
It was a locket necklace.
The moment she opened it up she was in tears of happiness. Inside were two pictures of herself and Sunset. Their selfie, they took the previous weekend at the beach and of them at the Camp Everfree ball.
“I got help from a friend to make this for you. I originally wanted to give it to you when we graduated so you wouldn't forget me, but I guess that won’t be happening now.”
“But what matters now is we got a new future with our name on it. And it looks to be pretty bright, don't you think?”
“It sure does.”
“Say you want to, you know. Sleep in each other's jackets tonight? Me in the one I made you and you in mine I let you wear. I know it sounds weird but-”
“I was gonna ask the same thing Twilight.”
Twilight’s eyes gleamed with happiness as she had now been glad she had this talk with her girlfriend.
“Thank you Sunset. You know me well.”
“Just like I do with you Twilight.”
As they put on the jackets and then pulled the covers back up they turned off the light. They looked at each other smiling as they linked their hands together as slowly fell asleep.
“Goodnight Twilight. I love you.”
“Goodnight Sunset. I love you too.”
As the two girls slowly fell asleep they dreamt about what their future had in store for them. Sure it was gonna be tough to handle and they might run into or meet Sunset's counterpart at some point. But if they can both stop anyone who has magic from Equestria and be normal high school students at the same time, they got it all covered and will have a plan if they ever run into the human Sunset Shimmer.

The Confession (Updated 1/11/2023)
It was Saturday morning at Sunset’s apartment. The previous day Sunset and Twilight had a fun day together going shopping at the mall, heading to the beach, and having a dinner date together.
But sadly as we all know it didn’t go that well according to plan when Twilight asked Sunset about how in the fall they’d be starting their senior year of high school and that after they graduate and summer is over they’d be going through separate ways to other colleges and starting a path to their future careers. This of course upset Sunset since she had forgotten about it since she was distracted by what had been happening the last few months. From Camp Everfree, The music contest with the Shadowbolts, returning to Equestria and meeting Starlight Glimmer, and finally the Memory Stone incident with Wallflower and Sunset reuniting with Princess Celestia for the first time in years.
It was a foggy morning and both girls were still huddled up in their sleep except they removed their jackets and were just in their bras and panties they wore the day before. Sunset soon awoke and was surprised to see Twilight still hugging her after what happened the previous night. Twilight seemed to be serious about what she told her that she didn’t want to lose her the night she saved Sunset or leave her at all.
Sunset soon got out of bed as quietly as she could, not trying to wake up Twilight before she made her way to use the bathroom.
After washing her face and using the bathroom she walked out to her desk and turned on her computer to check for any new emails.
Therefore course wasn’t any new emails for an early Saturday morning. The same went for Mystable. Except for some posts, her friends posted the night before.
As Sunset went up back to her bed she grabbed her phone sitting on the nightstand next to her sleeping girlfriend Twilight Sparkle. After grabbing her phone and the jacket Twilight made for her she went down towards Twilight and moved a bit of her hair out of her face. While she did she felt her warm skin against her hand. Sunset smiled while doing it, being glad that she now has a girlfriend and that her future might be better than she thought it originally would be.
Twilight moved a bit in her sleep exposing her bra, messy hair, and a smile creeping onto the sleeping girl.
"I love you Sunset," Twilight said in her sleep.
Sunset smiled at her before heading down towards her couch unaware that Twilight was now awake as she saw her walking towards her couch.
As Sunset sat down on the couch and turned on her phone she was greeted with her background photo of herself and her friends together when they were at the beach the previous week. The same picture was seen in the yearbook for their junior year of high school.
Sunset decided to go through her photo library at the many fun memories she's had within the last few months. From the pictures of the fun at the beach the previous weekend, all the way back to before Twilight joined their group before the Friendship Games.
Sunset sometimes forgot how her hair was a different color and her outfit was completely different after the conclusion of the Battle of the Bands.
She still remembered surprisingly her friends with her new look a few weeks before the Friendship Games and how it looked like she had changed. Not to mention the new jacket she had looked pretty good on her, and her shirt matched the color of her eyes.
As Sunset looked at the photos taken just a day before the Memory Stone Incident she started to feel a tear fall down her face and a frown appeared as well.
Twilight saw the whole thing while she quietly got up putting on her glasses, slippers, and her light blue jacket as she silently walked down the stairs until she was right behind Sunset.
Sunset soon started to tear up a bit more til Twilight put a reassuring hand on Sunset's left shoulder. Sunset was surprised at first seeing her girlfriend there til she smiled at her. Sunset smiled back, but the tears were still coming with no signs of stopping.
“Morning Twilight. Sorry if I woke you up,” Sunset said quietly.
“It’s fine Sunset. I’m usually up this early on weekends anyway. I take Spike out for early morning walks when he wakes me up to spend some time with him. Whether it's barking at me or licking my face with his slobber.”
Sunset laughed when hearing that as the two of them adjusted their jackets a bit. The temperature was quite cold that morning, but they would be warm once again after Twilight sat down next to Sunset. She looked at her with glee but was shocked to see tears on her face.
“Sunset what’s the matter? Are you ok?”
Twilight placed her right hand on her friend's shoulder before proceeding to wipe a few tears off of Sunset’s face.
“I’m fine Twilight. It's just. Sigh. I was looking at the photos we took the day before the Memory Stone Incident started, and all I could think of was the things that happened when I met up with you and the girls at the beach the next morning. I wanted to cry when hearing that you all had forgotten who I am. It was horrible!”
Some more tears soon went down her face as Sunset thought back to that moment.
“Sunset it wasn’t your fault. We were under a spell. Wallflower used it to make us forget you were our friend as revenge for what she’s gone through. And besides, I do too feel upset with myself. I mean, when you stepped on my drone by accident, I thought you did it on purpose, but in reality, you tripped on a beach ball before your boot landed on it. I should have accepted your help when you offered it. But thanks to that stupid stone, I had to say you had done enough before our friends made those mean glares at you!” Twilight herself was now starting to cry with tears of her own on her face over the memory.
“Twilight you couldn’t control yourself, none of the girls could either. It was a bad idea that I tried to tell you all what happened and that I ended up breaking your drone while trying to explain the photos I had weren't fake! But it all turned sour after Trixie came into the picture..."
“Oh, Sunset come here.”
Both girls soon went into a hug before crying into each other's shoulders as they did the night prior. They soon look into each other’s eyes thinking there’s only one thing to help them calm down. And that was a kiss as they went into one before doing another to help them feel a bit better.
After their kissing and hug were done they turned away from each other, mainly moving a bit of their hair out of their faces, zipping a bit of their jacket's zipper up with a few of their bras visible before turning back to face each other.
“It feels kinda weird that we ended up crying for one another two times in just two days huh Sunset?”
“Sure does Twilight. I don’t think I’ve cried this much since the Anon-A-Miss Incident, or after I was defeated at the Fall Formal.”
“You want another hug? But without the crying?”
“Of course.”
The hug lasted for about a minute before they looked into each other's eyes. blushing once again. They now felt a bit better after their second breakout.
“You feeling better now Sunset?”
“Yes, especially since I have you here.”
They soon smiled at one another before Sunset looked down at her legs as she began to think about something.
“Listen Twilight, I know it’s been only a day since we started dating. But, I honestly just... I don’t know how long we should keep this secret from our friends that we're dating now. Keeping this secret locked away just isn't something I want to do. Especially if it's hiding the love I feel for you.”
“I feel the same. I don’t know how long I'll be able to hide it from my family. Shining Armor can often tell something is up with me just by the way I behave. I still remember when he told me he had proposed to Candance and wanted me to keep it secret from our parents til he felt ready to tell them. So, are you saying we should tell both my parents and-”
“Our friends,” they both said at the same time before blushing in embarrassment.
“I think we should. I’m not even sure if our friends have noticed it themselves but, we have to. On the other hand, how do you feel about this? Do you want to do this?”
“As long as you're with me when we explain it to them, of course.”
The two girls soon smiled at each other once more before going into a third hug and yet another kiss, before heading over to the kitchen to wipe up some breakfast.
After breakfast was over they sat back down on the couch again, but this time in their pajamas. As they looked at each other in confidence as Sunset was about to send a message in their group chat to their friends on something important. Twilight soon gave Sunset the signal as she typed away before sending the message, awaiting their friend's replies.
Hey girls. I know it's early and a Saturday but is it alright if you come to my apartment? Twilight is with me and we’d like to talk to you all about something important.
…
Why of course Darling.
What is it Sunset? Something worrying you?
You guys need some cheering?
I don’t have any chores for the day so what’s up?
Is There a reason Twilight didn’t reply to any of my messages yesterday? Got the newest copy of Daring Do.

We’ll explain when you all arrive ok? We’ll explain the rest then. Promise.
After 20 minutes of waiting their friends arrived at Sunset's apartment.
The five of them were changed into their normal outfits while Sunset and Twilight were still in their pajamas, the only thing different was their hair was no longer messy or of bedhead hair.
“So tell us, darling, what do you want to talk to us about this early on a Saturday?” Questioned Rarity.
“And can Twilight tell me why she didn’t respond to my text over the Daring Do book I got?!?!?!” Replied an angry Rainbow Dash.
“First off, Sunset and I had spent yesterday having fun together, just the two of us. And second, I didn’t reply to your text because I put you on silent Rainbow!!! I also had the book pre-ordered and got it three days ago.”
“Oh come on!” Replied Rainbow as she collapsed into her chair in shame.
“It’s just a book Dash. Now sugarcube, you mind explaining what you wanted to tell us? It’s been in my head all mornin,” replied Applejack.
“Sigh , alright Applejack we’ll talk,” said Sunset as she and Twilight sat down on the couch before her girlfriend began their confession.
“Well, you see girls. The reason why I was with Sunset in the first place was that-”
“I asked Twilight to come over on Thursday night before I ended it all!” Sunset quickly replied.
“Ended what Sunset?” Questioned Fluttershy, as she adjusted her blue butterfly beret.
“Before I ended my life.”
This soon caused the five of them to gasp in horror over what they just heard from Sunset.
“You're joking right Sunset? This isn’t a prank is it?” Replied an upset-looking Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow darling, remind me when was the last time Sunset did this to us? Oh, wait I remember, back when she was still a bully! And besides, out of the seven of us, you and Pinkie are normally the ones who do the joking around here. But it still doesn't change how we acted last week because of that blasted stone!” Replied an upset Rarity, who gave Rainbow the cold shoulder.
“So then it’s true, that Sunset almost-”
“Killed herself!” Pinkie finished off Fluttershy’s sentence while her hair deflated.
“Yes, it's true. Ever since last week when we destroyed the Memory Stone, it was all I was thinking about, and it never seemed to escape my mind. I started to have nightmares where I couldn’t stop Wallflower in time. And the memories of all the good things I've done were all lost forever.”
Sunset soon started to tear up a bit as Twilight put her hand on her girlfriend’s shoulder.
“That's when Sunset then texted me to come over the night. I could already tell something was up so I of course came over. After we headed to bed that night Sunset decided to jump off the roof of her apartment to kill herself over these thoughts of hers."
The girls were all silent for a good minute before Twilight continued.
"She didn’t want to tell us since she didn’t want you all to worry too much. Even if you are just her friend. And after I saved her, I found out something else Sunset was hiding from us.”
“What is it?” Replied Applejack.
Sunset then removed her jacket and her shirt revealing many scars on her body. Even one on her chest before pulling it back down in disappointment.
“I’ve been secretly hurting myself.”
“But why Sunset? Why did you not tell us? We would have helped you and listened?” Replied Rainbow Dash.
“We helped you the last time we found out after the Fall Formal you were hurting yourself!” Replied Pinkie.
“And after our sisters revealed they were the ones behind Anon-A-Miss darling,” replied Rarity.
“I couldn’t take the pain anymore. I’ve been ignored twice regarding the way I am. First the Anon-A-Miss Incident and then the Memory Stone Incident. It made me think that I’m not worth being your friend after everything I've done. Especially since I came here from Equestria. I'm not from here, so what's the point of staying if this world already has a Sunset Shimmer? Wherever she might be that is...”
This of course made her friends look very displeased and upset. Rarity knew she needed to hear this as she walked over to Sunset before kneeling in front of her.
“Sunset. We know what happened in the past wasn’t that great and we truly wish some of it never happen. And truth be told, we feel the same way since the Memory Stone incident last week, on our behavior towards you when we were under that spell.”
“You do? How?” Questioned Sunset.
“We’ve been very upset with ourselves for how we acted toward you,” answered Twilight.
“From me tell you your geode is fake, to not hurrying back at all to join us at the beach,” answered Rarity.
“Me getting upset and saying you weren’t our friend or friends at all,” answered Applejack, while she removed her hat, feeling ashamed of herself.
“Me hiding behind Applejack when you were just trying to be nice to me,” said Fluttershy as she hid behind her hair.
“Me getting upset when you told me I saved you during the Friendship Game's tri-cross rally,” answered Rainbow Dash with a tear visibly going down her face.
“Me thinking that picture of the expression I made I’ve never made,” answered a sad Pinkie Pie.
“And how I hadn’t seen you since the Friendship Games when you were at the beach with us. Even Spike feels ashamed for his behavior too."
"You see Sunset, you weren’t the only one upset after the incident. We all were, and we knew darling that this is what was bothering you. And you just didn’t want to accept us as your friends again...”
Realizing the tragic mistake she had made, Sunset felt ashamed of herself, failing herself as a trustworthy friend and to the second family she had made.
“Oh, girls. I’m so sorry for worrying you all so much. This is all my fault. I should have come to you the moment I knew straight away I wasn't my normal self. But it nearly cost my life in the end.”
“Don’t blame yourself Sunset. It was all Wallflower’s doings. And even though we forgave her, a part of us still didn’t,” answered Twilight, as she started to cry along with the rest of their friends.
“Oh, Twilight. Now I see why you wanted to talk to me about this. and same with the rest of you girls. Oh, come on everyone, bring it in.”
The seven friends went into a group hug all crying together, over the events they went through with the Memory Stone incident just one week prior. This was the first time in a long time the seven of them felt this sad over their friendship after dealing with an Equestrian artifact that almost ruined their friendship entirely.
“Thank you, girls. I may not have family here but at least you all are to me.”
“And though we once hated you, you’ve changed so much because of the magic of friendship. We care for you very much darling,” said Rarity.
“You’ve not only helped us many times in the past year, but we’ve learned so much more about each other than we never knew about in the past,” replied Fluttershy.
“From coming to those parties to be with us,” replied Pinkie.
“To helping my family at the farm,” said Applejack.
“Even going to the movie studio to see the behind-the-scenes on the latest Daring Do film,” replied a now confident Rainbow Dash.
“You may not be from this world Sunset, but to us you are,” said Twilight as she moved a bit of her hair out of the way while doing so.
The group of friends soon stepped out of their group hug as they whipped away their tears, feeling relieved that they got these thoughts out of their minds.
“So is there anything else darling you wanted to tell us after Twilight saved you?” Said Rarity.
“Well yes. You want to do the honors Twilight?”
“It would be my pleasure Sunset. After I saved her and helped with her injuries, we talked it out and confessed our feelings for each other.”
“Wait, aren’t you still dating Timber Twilight?” Asked Fluttershy.
“Yeah about that. We broke up a few weeks ago. We didn’t have much of a good romantic relationship and decided to just remain as friends. I did tell him the night we broke up of these feelings I have for Sunset and Timber understood completely. He also had feelings of his own for an old friend of his from his childhood. Whom he's now in a relationship again. Even if your relationship has since ended, we've found new ones that have made us even happier.”
“Well, that is just wonderful. I know you girls would!” said a happy Pinkie Pie, just as her hair poofed back to its normal self.
“Wait. are you saying?”
“We’ve known all along,” replied the five girls.
“We just weren’t sure when you would tell us Sugarcube.”
“But whenever you two were together, you were both very happy.” Replied Fluttershy.
“I so wanted to ask but didn’t want to feel like a nerd. Anyway, now that we know it’s official, what did you both do yesterday?” Questioned Rainbow Dash.
“We spent the day together,” replied a happy Sunset.
“We went shopping, went to the beach, and had dinner together that didn’t go well. But after I mentioned what Sunset thinks she’ll do when we finish high school next year, things took a turn for the worse.”
“So then, what do you have planned then darling?”
“Since I of course have gotten used to living here, I've decided I'm gonna stay. As much as I love Equestria since that's where I'm from and grew up, I feel more at home here. Even if my counterpart might still be around somewhere, I hope we can think of something when we encounter her. Whenever that'll happens. But my overall plan is to go to college, learn more about what I need to know about this world, and maybe move in with Twilight. Or she moves in with me. That part hasn't been fully thought over, but you get the overall picture from where this is going.”
“And no one can replace our Sunset,” replied Twilight as she kissed Sunset’s face before she blushed bright red.
The five girls awed with happiness for their two friends who were now in a loving relationship.
“Oh-oh, you two should be given a nickname since you're dating now!” Replied a hyped Pinkie Pie.
“Um, I’m not sure we need one Pinkie Pie?” Replied Applejack, as she adjusted her stenson.
“No, it is perfect. Maybe SciSet or TwiSet, or SunLight or-”
“I think we're fine Pinkie,” replied Rainbow, after covering Pinkie’s mouth before they all laughed together.
“Well since we're all here. Does anyone want to head down to Sugarcube Corner? Why waste a perfect Saturday indoors when we can all go out to our favorite hangout spot," Sunset replied, to which her friends nodded in agreement.
“But first,” said Twilight.
“We both need to get changed,” Sunset said, looking down at herself.
“Not at all, darling. Come on girls let’s wait outside for them,” said Rarity as they exited Sunset’s apartment leaving their two friends by themselves.
“Well Twilight, our friends know we're dating now.”
“We sure are Sunset. I may not know what the future holds, but all I care about is knowing we’ll be together.”
“And hopefully everything goes well too.”
They both laughed just thinking about their new future ahead of them before heading up to the bedroom to get changed.
A few minutes later they had changed out of their pajamas and were ready to join their friends. Twilight was again in the same set of clothes Sunset let her borrow yesterday while Sunset decided to wear the green dress she got yesterday at the mall. Rarity of course thought she looked perfect in, even if Sunset didn't wear green that often.
The couple then grabbed a hold of their hands together as they exited the apartment to join the rest of their friends before starting a short walk to Sugarcube Corner.
That night, the two girls were in bed after enjoying a fun day with their friends. After they visited Sugarcube Corner, they went and saw a movie, had milkshakes at a café, and had a picnic in Canterlot park with two boxes full of donuts. One thing to note that happened during the picnic was when a leaf landed on Twilight's nose while she was reading a book she brought. Everyone thought it was pretty hilarious before Sunset told her she was still beautiful even without a leaf on her.
As they sat in bed in their bra and panties they talked about what they should do the next day together as a couple. They even laughed at the reaction Twilight’s mom gave them after telling them she was dating Sunset now. As for her brother, father, and old babysitter now Principal Candance of Crystal Prep/sister-in-law they all felt happy for her.
The girls giggled once again thinking that Sunset was now gonna be a part of Twilight's family one day. But for now, they had another fun day to look forward to before their last week of school would begin.
Sunset’s counterpart is still out there somewhere, but where is the question of when she might find out about her counterpart's existence? While it's a mystery at the time being Sunset knew with her friends' help they'll think of a way to help her in any way they can when the time comes.
As Twilight removed her glasses and turned off the light she looked at her beautiful girlfriend next to her as she smiled with glee.
“Goodnight Sunset I love you,” Twilight said as she kissed Sunset on the forehead.
“Goodnight Twilight I love you too," Sunset said as she kissed Twilight before they both went into another kiss before blushing afterward.
They soon got close to one another and cuddled with one another as they slowly fell asleep.
Even though Sunset didn’t have any family in this world she was lucky to have her friends as her family, her best friend and now girlfriend Twilight Sparkle, with a new future ahead of her that she is very hyped to be looking forward too.

And that's a wrap the final chapter of A weekend of fun. I hope everyone has enjoyed it. I'll possibly make more in the future if I get any ideas but for now, I'm just happy people are enjoying the 2 stories I've written and I'll see you all down the line next time.
