Some Nights

Twilight Sparkle was really in for it this time. She stole Pinkie's Party cannon for a surprise party for Rarity. She was coming back from Canterlot and need a proper returning home party and not some weird shenanigan pulled off by Pinkie. Her parties got odder and odder until the point where ponies had stopped coming because it just wasn't as fun. In the past years, some of the Mane Six had drifted apart...but some had become much closer.

As Rarity arrived at her home, she was greeted with the warm smell of daffodils and greeted by presents fancily wrapped and a table full of orderbs. "Oh my, Twilight! Did you do this all for little old me?" she gasped, pausing to take some caviar with her magic. "Of course! you deserved a proper get-together!" Fancy ponies, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash was a proper get-together nowadays. If it took place a few years ago, Pinkie Pie and Applejack would be here, but ever since the accident, there would be no Pinkie or Applejack. "Oh Twilight! This is wonderful! First, You set me up with a great dress mentor from Canterlot and now this!" she squeed. She embraced Twilight rather tight, but Twilight enjoyed every minute of it. It was rather quick though, and then Rarity went over to talk to Rainbow Dash.

"You should tell her you like her, you know."

Twilight turned around to see Fluttershy talking to her. "What?! I don't like Rarity!"she exclaimed." Denial." she examined.Twilight ignored her and continued her partying and ignored her feelings for a while.

After everypony left, Twilight practiced her transporting spell and got home safe. Spike was in his bed looking at a picture of Rarity. He felt Twilight's glare so he turned around to blush. "She's so pretty."Spike said. With that one sentence, neither of them realized they spiraled into a converstation about how beautiful Rarity was.

"This is awkward." Spike said, realizing they spent their night gushing about Rarity together. Twilight shrugged and went to bed.

As Rarity pulled closer Twilight did too. She whispered something, but Twilight didn't hear. "I don't care." Twilight said. And they shared a kiss while in the background Applejack's barn exploded.

PINKIE PIES DREAM*****

Applejack and Pinkie pie were making candy cider when Big Mac came bursting through the doors. "EVERYPONY OUT! NOW!" The Apples plus Pinkie tried to run but no one made it out except one. The last thing Pinkie saw of Applejack was her kind face pushing her out of the barn. her hooves were still in the barn. She wanted, needed to pull Applejack out at least. It was too late. Rubble upon rubble, the Apples died on their own farm. Nopony knows how it happened, but it was a nuclear explosion. It was planted there, said the cops. But Nopony was arrested. This drove Pinkie Pie insane, never to be happy again.

~As Twilight wakes up from her dream~

"What a wonderful dream!" Twilight said.

"What'd you dream about? "Spike asked.

"Ohhh nothing, oops I already forgot." Smooth, Twilight, smooth move there.

She hummed cheerfully as she answered the ringing doorbell. She was surprised to find a crying Rarity. "What's the matter, Rarity?" Twilight asked, concerned. "Tw-Twilight...Rainbow Dash is dead!!" she bawled. "Oh no, this is terrible!" Twilight sniffed tearing up. "You don't understand Twilight!"

"Understand what?"

"I loved her!"

"Me too, Rarity, we all did."

"No Twilight! I LOVED her!"

Twilight paused for a moment, still. Rarity loved Rainbow Dash and Twilight loved Rarity. She now felt bad because she shut the door on her mourning friend. She should be mourning too. But she wasn't. Now was not time to be sad.
