After an unfortunate accident involving a manticore, Rainbow Dash reflects on her life's meaning. How she's always tried to get everypony's attention and accolades with her flying. How flying has given her hope that she was a somepony at times when it seemed like there was nothing but doubt.

How she wants that applause, that thunderous sign of approval as she showcases her talent.

And how now, laying in a hospital bed, she might never get that applause. That she may never feel like she had a fulfilling, meaninful life.
