Chapter 1 - an unexpected guest
It was a stormy, rainy night in the town of Ponyville, as ponies that were out and about were trying to make it to the warm and comfort of their home to stay dry from the rain, especially a certain human by the name of Max.
Max was once your everyday run of the mill single guy who had a good life and a good job, until he one day found himself being transported to Equestria by a certain lavender unicorn mare named Twilight Sparkle. Twilight had recently found a spell that can teleport anyone from one place but in a far off distance, so she tried testing it out to see if it works by teleporting herself from her library to Canterlot, but instead of her teleporting herself, she had accidentally teleported a strange creature into her home and that creature of course was none other than the human Max.
Max first day In Equestria wasn’t as good as anyone would hope; when max first came into town everypony was afraid of him because they had never seen anything like him before, even a few of Twilights friends were a bit scared of him, not to mention he was nearly attacked by Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash when they first saw him. When Twilight's friends tried to hurt him, she was able to stop them and explain to her friends why Max was there and what had happened, after explaining everything to everyone Twilight and her friends decide to help him fit in and feel welcome, of course it was also hard for him to make friends in Ponyville, but with the help of Twilight and her friends, they were able to change that.
As Max made his way home he could tell that the storm was getting a bit more dangerous, so he ran as fast as he could to his home. When Max made it home he went over to his couch and sat down to relax and and dry off a bit. “Man what’s up with those pegasi and always making weather schedules with huge storms!? It’s pouring down hard like crazy out there!”
As Max was relaxing, he starts hearing someone knocking on his door, confused. “Now who could be coming over and knocking on my door in this weather?” Max says, as whoever was at the door kept knocking. “Okay okay I’m coming just hold on!” As Max got up the knocking stopped, and he made his way towards the door and opened it. “Okay who is i.....?” When Max opened the door he saw that no pony was there. Looking around in confusion, he spotted a basket covered in blankets, left in front of his door with a note left on it. Curious, Max knelt down to pick up the basket with the note still inside and brought it inside.
After closing the door and locking it, Max made his way to his couch and sat down, placing the basket on the table and reading the note.
To whom this may concern,
I have decided to leave my foal with you for I have not the means to provide for her. It pains me to abandon my foal like this, but I pray that whoever is reading this will take care of my foal, my sweet Sunrise Rose.
After reading the note a few more times to see if he was reading it right, Max looked over at the basket and moved the blanket cover, and sure enough there in the basket lays a sleeping unicorn foal. “Th.......This can’t be real, right? This has to be a dream...” Max brought his hand to his other arm and pinched it.
“Ow...okay this isn’t a dream, it’s for real, but this can’t really be happening me...! Me? A father...!? No no no no no, this can’t be happening! I don’t know a thing about raising a child, let alone a foal!” As Max was freaking out, the young unicorn foal slowly starts to wake up, before she starts crying, catching Max attention.
“Oh no, not now! Why now!?” Max picked up the foal trying to calm her down by rocking her. “There there, it’s okay, please calm down, no more crying please...!” As Max tried calming down the foal to get her to stop crying, he started to smell something that was starting to stink, and looking at the foal, he noticed that the diaper started to look a bit heavy. Realizing why the foal was crying, he looked in the basket to see if there were any spare diapers left behind, and sure enough, there was.
“Oh thank god, there’s some spare diapers in here.” Taking one of the diapers, he took the young foal to the restroom upstairs to change her.
After changing the foal she started calming down a bit, but was still crying. “Why are you still crying? I just changed you!” As the foal kept crying, a thought came to Max. “Oh I know! You're probably hungry, right?” Looking into the basket, he not only spotted the spare diapers he saw earlier but also a baby bottle, so, putting the foal back into the basket, he went into the kitchen and pulled out the carton of milk from his fridge and poured some milk into the bottle before putting the bottle of milk in the microwave to warm it up.
When the milk was warmed up, Max put the top on the bottle and headed back to the still crying foal, offering the bottle to the foal. She slowly stops crying as she drank the milk from the bottle.
Sighing, Max sat on the couch holding the foal as she drank from the bottle. “I still can’t believe that this is happening to me, me becoming a father of all things...” Sighing to himself, Max looked out the window, seeing that it was still raining. “I just hope I can handle it...” He says, looking back down at the little Sunrise Rose.

Chapter 2 - Introducing Sunrise Rose
Max POV
I opened my eyes as the light of the sun began to pierce through the window. Getting up, I stretched my arms as I rubbed my eyes, to remove the sleep in them. “Mmmm...man, last night was kind of strange. That was the weirdest dream I have ever had, me becoming a father.” I say chuckling to myself, only to be silent when I hear the sound of soft low breathing coming from right next to me.
I looked down to see a small white unicorn foal sleeping right next to me wrapped in blankets as everything that happened last night came back to me. “L-Last night wasn’t a dream...it was all real I...I’m actually a father now.” The realization of the problem I’m in hits me hard like a pile of rocks falling on my head.
Looking down at the foal again I sigh to myself as I got up to get ready for the day. “I’m so going to need help for this, taking care of a foal is going to be hard, but who do I know that can help with this problem?” I say to myself as I thought of who can help me with trying to raise a foal while I get myself dressed.
“Ah, I know Twilight and the gang can help.” As I say that, I remembered that I actually agreed to join them today at a picnic. “Oh sweet mother Celestia, the picnic! How can I forget about the picnic today? I agreed to go.” I say yelling a bit too loud causing the foal on my bed to wake up and cry.
“Oh no, not again...” Sighing, I finished getting dressed and went to my bed to try and calm down the crying foal.

Twilight and the gang
Twilight and the rest of her friends were in an open field right outside of Ponyville, relaxing as they were all enjoying the picnic that they had planned today, but there was one problem: someone was missing from the picnic, and that someone was the town resident human Max.
“What in tarnation is taking Max so long to get here?” Says Applejack looking around, noticing that Max was not at the picnic.
“He’s probably running a little bit late, Applejack, don’t worry about it. I’m sure he’ll be here soon.” Said Twilight.
“Or more like he probably overslept again like always.” Says Rainbow Dash as she rolled her eyes. “Like, come on, when has that guy not overslept when it comes to going somewhere he agreed to go to?”
“Be it as it may Rainbow, Max always keeps his word when he agrees to either helping somepony or meeting somepony somewhere.” Says Rarity looking up at Rainbow Dash. “He’s a true gentlecolt through and through when it comes to keeping his word.”
“Yeah Maxy would never break his promise, even if he does oversleep.” Says Pinkie with a smile on her face as she hops up and down.
“Oh, um, I agree with Rarity and Pinkie just, um, two days ago I asked if he could help me with my animals and he agreed to help and he was a bit late the next day but still came.” Says Fluttershy a bit shyly.
As everyone was talking Spike who was sitting next to Twilight looked out into the distance and spotted the late human carrying a basket. “Hey guys, there’s Max!”
Everyone stopped talking and looked out in the distance seeing Max running up to them carrying a basket in hand.
Panting, Max put a hand on his knees trying to catch his breath. “Sorry...for...being...late...everypony. Got caught up in something and almost lost track of time.” Says Max, slowly catching his breath as he speaks.
“It’s okay Max, as long as your here, that's all that matters. Oh, and by the way, what’s with the basket?” Twilight asks looking at the basket in his hands.
“Yeah, the thing is, this was the reason why I was a bit late.” Max says fully catching his breath as he looked at his friends.
“Explain.” Says Applejack with a eyebrow raised.
“Well you see, last night after I got home from running through the rainstorm that the Pegasi set up yesterday...” Max says shooting a glare at Rainbow who was apart of the weather team, as she just chuckled and rubbed the back of her head. “I heard somepony knocking on my door, and when I opened it, no pony was there except for this basket and, um, this.” He says opening the basket revealing a sleeping unicorn foal as everyone gasped after Max showed them the foal.
“Oh my, are you saying that somepony left a foal out in the middle of the rain on your doorstep?” Fluttershy asked, a bit shocked.
“Yeah, apparently, whoever this foal's parent was left her on my doorstep because they couldn’t provide for her.” He says showing everyone the note left behind.
Reading it, everyone started to feel bad for the young foal that her parent couldn’t provide for her.
“If ya don’t mind me asking sugar cube, what are ya going to do with her?” Asked Applejack
“Well, I was actually thinking of raising her really.” Max says looking down at the foal.
“Um, are you sure about that Max? Raising a unicorn foal isn't quite easy you know.” Says Twilight as Max just rolled his eyes.
“Yes, I’m sure, Twilight, and you don’t have to tell me how hard it is raising a unicorn foal like you did with Pinkie when she was taking care of the cake twins.” He says as Twilight just sighed.
“So darling what is her name, since you’ll be raising her from now on?” Asked Rarity
“Well I was actually going to go with Sunrise Rose since that's what whoever their parent was wrote on the note, and I, for one, actually liked the name.” Max says looking at rarity than back down at the foal smiling.
“That’s a beautiful name, Max. I think it fits her nicely.” Fluttershy says.
During the whole picnic everyone was talking about the foal and how they would help Max in raising Sunrise Rose.

Hey everyone sorry for taking so long for posting up chapter two been quite busy as of late but anyways hope you guys liked this chapter also I’m trying to figure out how to put images in my stories still kind of new to this lol but again hope you guys liked this story also about Applejack I tried my best write the way she talks the best I can sorry if what I make her say doesn’t really sound like the way she talks
Chapter 3 - raising a child wasn’t easy
Max Diary #1
For the first night Sunrise Rose slept very perfectly with no sign of crying through the night. Though I am still worried about this whole parenting business. When I decided to take care of Sunrise I thought that I would be easy; however, I was wrong apparently what Twilight and pinky told me about unicorn foals having a lot magic were not wrong and I learned that the hard way due to being hit on the back of the head with flying frying pan. When trying to avoid many hard flying objects that Sunrise was levitating around while making sure none hit her Twilight had came by to see if I might need any help with Sunrise but when she saw me avoiding the many hard flying objects floating around the house while holding onto Sunrise it didn’t take her long to figure that I might need help. After Twilight helped me with the many possessed objects flying around in my home I thanked her and told her about what happened.
I told her how I had placed Sunrise in her playpen that pinky brought over for her while I make lunch, but when I was grabbing the ingredients I felt myself getting hit in the back of the head by a frying pan only for me to than hear Sunrise laughing and seeing that she was out of her playpen with her horn glowing as I than noticed more pots and pans flying around the house. After telling Twilight everything that happened before her arrival she agreed to help me with Sunrise which I’m really grateful for. When the day was over Sunrise was fast asleep in her crib due to all the fun she had today while me and twilight cleaned around the house and before she left she gave me a book saying that it’ll help me with raising Sunrise to which I thanked before she left.
Even though today may have been a bit chaotic and a bit crazy I’ll make sure that I’ll do all that I can to make sure Sun rise has a happy life growing up no matter how hard things get and that will be a promise.

Max Diary #2
It has been a year and so much has happened. Sunrises birthday is coming soon because since I don’t know her actual birthday is I decided to have her birthday on the same day I found her and now I’m trying to find her a gift but I’m not sure what to get her! Ugh. I'll find out in due time. That is I hope I can. I’m probably going to need Pinkie's help with this. She the only one I can count on right now for help since the others are busy getting their gifts ready for Sunrise.
Thanks to pinkies help I was able to find the perfect gift for Sunrise Rose. Despite me raising Sunrise I apparently haven’t been noticing her reaction to certain objects more specifically stuffed dolls that looks like flowers or like a gardener, but pinky who seemed to have been watching me and Sunrise from a far had tooked notice so if it wasn’t for her I may not have been able to get Sunrise Rose a present for her birthday I should thank her when I get the chance.

For awhile Sunrise has been crying haven’t gotten enough sleep because of it so when I took Sunrise to get checked the doctors told the reason she’s been crying. She’s starting to grown Teeth. After hearing that news I was glad for that especially since it wasn’t anything bad. That means I can feed her new types of food that she’ll be able eat. After Sunrise check up I went to get some more better food for her to eat. Oh! By the way this morning, Spike came over to hangout since Twilight and the others are going to some backing competition or something so me and him hanged out while watching over sunrise.

Sunrise finally said her first word! I was actually happy about this! So I decided to throw a little celebration with the help of pinkie of course, i was bringing Sunrise with me to the flower shop while I bought some flower seeds to plant since gardening was a hobby of mine back on earth, so while I was looking through the many flower seeds Sunrise was looking at a pink rose and said “pinky” of course I thought she saw pinkie pie coming into the flower shop when she said that but soon saw the pink rose she called pinky. After I saw her looking at the pink rose at the shop I decided to get a couple seeds of it and I can tell she liked them because she kept looking at the image of the rose on the packs saying pinky all the way home.

It’s been awhile since I wrote anything so I’m going to say what has happened these past months well for starters Sunrise is now a grown filly it felt like only yesterday that I found her on my doorsteps as a foal and not only that but she also has her own room thanks to Apple Jack helping me renovating the house to make her room of course she is scared of being alone at night. She says she doesn't want to leave like sleeping alone. So I let her sleep with me till she decides to finally wants to sleep alone. It's been 10 years since I came to equestria with no friends, no way back home and being alone in the house, but now. I don't feel alone anymore. I have child to look after and care for. It was a hard road sure and raising a child really wasn’t easy but in the end it turned alright.
Since tomorrow Sunrise starts school I hope that her first day turns out well.
