Magic, all magic, has a cost. That is one of the few funtimental rules of magic that remains the same regardless of the universe it finds itself in. Even Equestrian magic has a cost. Perhaps that cost is nothing more than a little neurotic behavior, but it exists all the same. Sunset believed that she and her friends had long since paid whatever cost there was to their magic, but unknown to them it wasn't just Equestrian magic that they needed to worry about. Their Earth had magic all of its own. Deep magic, magic that existed for ages, and magic that would have remained dormant if not for the bleeding over of Equestrian Magic.

Now, due to complications things have changed, a new situation has occurred, and there is no other choice than to roll with what's happening. Luckily they seem to have found help with an individual that has had to learn about Magic the hard way. With any luck they'll find their way back home before anything terrible can happen. But then, what's the worst that can happen in a world where the magical creatures of legend are actually real, truly exist, and live just outside of the edges of man's domain?
