A hitch in the harmony

I spent the whole day mauling over how I have referred to my daughter as my Ex "how could I do that" "I thought I got over her" "maybe I didn't"

I snapped out of it when I heard the door open and close "dad!" came from downstairs

"Yeah Mitta I'm up here!"

"Ok I'm coming up" she said as she started up the stairs to my study and bedroom

"alright" I replied

She peaked her head through the door and said "boo"

"hehe Mitta you still make me think you 'are' a little filly"

She sighed in irritation "Fine" she said turning to the stairs

"hey! where's my hug!"

"hey dad I thought hugs were for little filly's"

"Oh no you don't Mitta your getting this hug whether you like it or not"

She stuck her tongue out at me and said "you'll have to catch me first!" then she bolted down the stairs

"Get back here!" I chased after her

15 minutes of chasing later

*pant*"slow"*pant*"down"

"Na uh you said you can catch me"

"I swear Mitta you remind me a lot of Rainbow" I said through deep breaths

I mentally slapped myself

"Hey who's Rainbow Is she your marefriend" she said in a taunting voice

"ah she's nobody" I replied

"dad she's obviously somebody if you remember her so much"

"alright alright you got me yes she was my marefriend now lets get home" I said embarrassed that my own daughter caught me out

"wait wait wait dad what happened how did you guys split up"

"Its a long story now lets get home before it gets dark" I could almost see the red and black soulless eyes start to come through on Mitta but she wasn't soulless at all

"oh alright then BUT you better explain to me what happened or your gonna get it"

I held my hands up in defence "oh watch out we got a badass over here"

"and you know it" she retorted

we walked for about five more minutes just exchanging small talk watching the town take its cursed form watching the ponies turn in to stomach churning gore-y monsters but one thing above else I wasn't apart of this curse but Mitta was but she wasn't gored and mutilated she just had them eyes and a dirty coat

But one thing remained when night came she couldn't touch me or and other pony here or I would become part of this curse

We walked up to the door and I unlocked it "ladies first"

"oh dad we all know your the lady" The she turned to a more masculine voice "and I'm the awesome man"

I chuckled "I wonder if your a sister of Dash"

"hey remember you still got to tell me about that"

"alright alright we'll get to it but for now DINNER!"

I walked into the kitchen and started to look around "Hey Mitta what do you want for dinner?"

"um I don't know how bout a daisy sandwich?"

"Alright"

I made 2 daisy sandwiches and sat down across from Mitta

"so you gonna tell me about this 'Rainbow dash' huh?"

"Ok here I go it started about 4 years ago when I arrived in a small country town called Ponyville the first pony I met was a hyper pink mare named Pinkie Pie but don't think she goes by the laws of physics" Mitta laughed at this "well the first day I was there she told me she wanted to set me up a welcoming party then ran off or flew off hehe but yeah I ended up going to that party and then meeting..... Her"

"Who?"

"The one and only Rainbow Dash"

"so how come you left"

"Ok lemme get to that well we ended up dating for 2 years but towards the end of our time she left me when I was going to propose to her but she cheated on me and left"

"who did she cheat on you with?"

"one of them hotshot Wonderbolts"

"wait who's the Wonderbolts I've never heard of em, I've heard of the Shadowbolts but that's about it"

"well the Wonderbolts are Equestria's best stunt flyers group and Rainbow always wanted to join them but never got the chance but I had other friends like Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie, Twilight and spike Twilight's assistant but I haven't seen them in 2 years I've either been travelling or here with you"

"hey dad are you ever planning on going back?"

"I don't think so why?"

"I think you should"

"why's that?"

"because I want an ending"

I chuckled"you always wanted a good ending didn't you well I'll seen what I can do but for now its time for bed so off you go"

"awwww why"

so you're not late like yesterday"

"Fiiiinnnneee"Mitta said in irritation

"well I'm off to bed too so Good night Mitta"

"good night dad"

I went up stairs and got in bed after putting away the dishes

"*sigh* I guess I'm gonna have to figure this out, what do I do, I haven't been there in 2 years so whatever I'll think about this in the morning"

I sighed and lets slumber take me
