Christine's Sunsetby RusticPrinceChaptersPrologueFoggy Junkyard MorningA New DawnPrologueForsaken She had sat rusting in that junkyard for years, alone, heart broken from the death of the only man to ever love her. She had been crushed both physically and emotionally after his death, physically because she attempted to avenge him by killing the two who dared to tear them apart. She had been cubed and left to rot alone with the other junkers in the yard, and for decades had slowly put herself back together, all while under the nose of the man who owned the yard. But what she didn't know was that love can come in all forms. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "How could y'all do that to me, I told ya in secret and now everybody knows" a tan girl with blond hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a stetson hat, flannel shirt, blue jeans and cowboy boots said. "Applejack, I swear it wasn't me" a tan girl with fiery red hair said. She was wearing a black leather jacket, tan shirt with a sun symbol on the front, frayed black jeans and biker boots. "Yeah right Sunset" a girl with rainbow hair said. "I knew you never changed and you never will because you're an evil bitch." "Rainbow!" A pure white girl with curly purple hair shouted. "Sunset might be evil, but you don't have to use such garish language." "But it wasn't me, why would I try so hard to change just to throw it all away?" Sunset asked the three girls in front of her. "Because you're an evil..." Rainbow started. "Don't even finish that sentence Rainbow" the pure white girl said. Turning to Sunset she continued, "look Sunset, your reputation isn't good enough for anyone to believe this isn't you…" "So just leave and disappear" Rainbow finished for the white girl. Turning and storming away, Applejack glared at Sunset before following after Rainbow, leaving just the white girl with Sunset. "I'm sorry Sunset, but…" the snow white girl started "No Rarity, she's right" Sunset said, interrupting her. "I'll just disappear" and with her final piece said Sunset hung her head and slowly walked away letting her tears hit the ground beneath her as she walked away from the three girls who were once her friends. As she walked away from the high school, where slowly her only friends in the world were forsaking her, she wondered if she could even keep her job working in the junkyard she had recently gotten. As she continued walking her sobs lessened and her shattered heart slowly darkened into a cold and empty abyss of turmoil and self loathing. Her train of thought was a one way line into depression and thoughts of running a blade across her skin, thoughts of blood and two worlds of not one being caring about her or even missing her floated through her head. Looking towards where her destination lay she spied the beginning of the chain link fence that surrounded Grogar's Junkyard and Garage. It took five minutes from the beginning of the fence to get to the entrance of the yard, casting her eyes onto the piles of scrapped clunkers, half wrecks, and antique autos. She continued her way to where her boss was more than likely planning to let her go, the giant eight bay garage to the right of the entrance. As she passed the scales for weighing whatever metal people brought in she entered the garage, through one of the open bay doors, turning to the right she focused her blood shot eyes on the old man who had given her the job, and was more than likely about to take it all away. "Sunset!" The old man shouted in excitement. A grin plastered on his face as he turned down the radio near the 1975 pontiac firebird he was working on, grabbing a rag and wiping his hands somewhat clean of grease, he walked towards Sunset. "How's my favorite employee…doing" he paused seeing her blood shot eyes, "what's wrong Sunset? Don't tell me you're still beating yourself up over that whole bullying debacle?" He asked with concern in his voice. Sunset broke and the flood gates opened once more as she flung her arms around her boss and started letting her tears fall once more. "Oh Grogar, i-it's worse than t-that" she stuttered out through sobs, "my friends, t-they think I'm s-spreading their secrets online, a-and one of them told me I'd be better of just disappearing, and she's riiggghhhhttttt" she half screamed. "There, there Sunset, you and your friends will work through this, they have to notice how you've changed" Grogar said caringly. "Tell you what" he started pushing Sunset back slightly so he could look her in the eyes. "I can handle the yard by myself for the day, why don't you go home and get some rest, take some time away from school and focus on getting yourself right up here" he said tapping her skull causing her to giggle slightly. "Thanks Grogar, but if it's all the same, I'd like to walk around the yard for a bit, see if I can finally spot a car I want to get and work on" she said with a half smile hoping her boss didn't catch on to the pain in her voice. "Well if that's what you want to do Sunset, I won't stop you, when you find the right one, bring her back here or grab the wrecker and haul her back here" he said with a smile on his face as he turned around to go back to the pontiac he was working on. Sighing to herself, Sunset walked out of the garage, and took a right down the small dirt road that led into the junkyard. Walking slowly past the piles of iron, tin, and miscellaneous scrap metal, she turned left into the car lot where all the junkers and half descent beaters were. Walking down the road of smashed, wrecked, totalled and rusted out cars nothing caught her attention, until finally she came upon the final row of cars. "No one ever comes back here, not even Grogar himself, they'll never find me" Sunset said to herself. As she walked past cars that were way past their prime and fixability, stopping in the middle of the dirt lane, she turned to the left to face one of the few tall and strong trees in the yard. Putting one foot in front of the other her depressed, and get and self loathing thoughts pounding in her head driving her forward to make a permanent solution to a temporary problem, one she couldn't find a way out of. As Sunset climbed up the tree one branch at a time, to the rope she had first hung in the tree after her whole she demon problem. Her friends were there and helped her see she belonged without ever knowing they saved her life, as she turned around to face out across the junkyard, something strange happened, she caught the glimpse of faded red paint and rust. Casting her gaze to where the color was her breath was taken from her, as her eyes glazed over and became distant, slowly climbing back down the tree her eyes never left the sight of the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen in her life. As Sunsets feet once more touched solid ground, her voices stopped talking, and she could feel her heart beating faster, her palms started to sweat a little bit. Before Sunset could even comprehend why she didn't put the rope around her neck and jump she was standing in front of the most beautiful car she had ever seen. Even though the toreador red paint was fading from the body, and the iceberg white on the roof and pinstripe were grimy and rust poked. As Sunsets circled the car she couldn't help but notice the white walls, though horribly weather cracked still held air. As she passed the drivers door, it slowly creaked open, she twirled around to notice the door somehow opened in an invisible breeze. Slowly walking back towards the drivers door, Sunset took a look inside to see that the red and white seats where sun bleached and cracked, the windshield was smudged with small spider webbing cracks. Sliding into the driver's seat, she placed her hands on the wheel and slowly caressed it, as her right hand passed three o'clock on the wheel, the visor dropped open depositing the keys into her lap. Picking up the key and name key chain, Sunset couldn't help but notice the name and she smiled as she read it "Christine, a beautiful name for such a beautiful car" she said out loud. Still smiling to herself Sunset decided to see if Christine would turn over, sticking the key into the mechanism, and shifting Christine into neutral, she depressed the clutch and turned the key. Causing the engine to slowly crank, trying again and tapping the gas the engine spun and sputtered until she roared to life. The exhaust having long since rotted off, blue smoke poured from the tail pipes, slowly shifting into first Christine lurched slightly as her transmission ground slightly finding the gear. Putting light pressure on the gas pedal once more, Sunset let off the clutch letting Christine roll forward, cranking the wheel to the right Sunset slowly drove Christine through the rows of cars and scrap. Engine skipping, belt slipping, and smoke rolling off the back of the car, Sunset brought Christine back to the open bay door, turning hard right once more she depressed the clutch and ground the transmission into reverse, looking over her shoulder she backed Christine into the bay. Putting pressure on the clutch and brake Christine whined to a halt in the correct position so Sunset could put her on the lift. Shutting her off and sliding back out of the driver's seat, she closed the door and headed down three bays to where she had seen Grogar last. Getting closer to the radio she was already negotiating a price for Christine, even if she had to work an entire week for free just to get the parts, she'd do it, finding Grogar at the firebird, Sunset shut his radio off causing him to turn his head slightly to glare at her. "Sunset how many times do I have to tell you, never mess with my radio?" He asked her. "I know, but I found a car, how much would you want for it?" Sunset asked. "What car is it?" Grogar asked, walking from underneath the firebird and grabbing a rag to wipe off his hands. "She's down in the first bay, follow me" she said excitedly, running back to where she had parked Christine. Grogar followed behind of Sunset shaking his head slightly and chuckling to himself, but as he drew nearer to the first bay he could see the faded red and white, and as he finally reached the car he knew exactly what it was. "Sunset, this is a 1958 Plymouth Fury, they're gas guzzlers are you sure you want this one?" He asked her, cocking one of his eyebrows at the young woman. "Of course Grogar, know how much do you want, I'll even work for free to get the parts I need" she said excitedly. "Alright, alright calm down" Grogar started. "For you Sunset three hundred for the car, and fifty dollars for parts a day, how's that sound?" "Deal!" Sunset shouted as she ran up and hugged Grogar tightly. Pulling away from her boss she reached into her left pocket for her wallet, bringing it out she opened it up and pulled out the three hundred Grogar was asking for. Counting it out as she handed it over to him, her smile never left her face, and as the last bill left her hand she hugged Grogar once more, and began the arduous task of finding out what parts she was going to need to make Christine roadworthy once more. Shaking his head Grogar walked away but as he did he couldn't shake the feeling he had seen that specific fury somewhere in his life and in more of a wrecked state. Shaking the thoughts from his head he headed back to the firebird he was working on and he hoped with every fiber of his being it wasn't the car he thought it was. Foggy Junkyard MorningBlood, Sweat and Tears Saturday: It was a foggy morning in the junkyard, the dew was still fresh in what little grass was growing in the soil. The songs of birds could be heard if you listened close enough. Sitting on a lift in the first bay of the garage, was Christine, her rims and tires removed and sitting by the bead breaker. Her rust filled chrome sitting in an organized pile by the sand blasting area, and Sunset was working tirelessly to remove the stubborn drum brakes that had rusted to the axle on the driver's side front. Cursing loudly to herself and the garage, stepping back Sunset inhaled deeply and slowly let out her breath, walking to the back wall of the garage Sunset grabbed the greatest communicators a mechanic could ever have...the acetylene and oxygen torch along with the five pound sledge hammer and crowbar. "Sorry Christine, but I need to upgrade your breaks" Sunset said out loud as she flipped the welding helmet she grabbed down so the flames wouldn't blind her. She turned the valves to the tanks until a slow hissing of gas could be heard, grabbing the striker and flicking it, the two gasses combusted into a small blue flame. Adjusting the valves until she had a nice six inch flame of red she set to work heating the rusted metal housing of the drum breaks until it glowed a soft red, shutting off the valves and taking of the helmet she grabbed the sledge and the sounds of metal striking metal rang through the air and the birds that had been perched nearby flew from there spots. After seven swings Sunset set down the hammer and picked up the crowbar, wedging the curved end point into the small crease she had managed to create. Making sure the heated metal wouldn't land on her feet, she applied pressure, until *shriek* the metal housing ground from its resting place and right to the edge of the wheel studs and fell to the ground with a loud clang. Sighing to herself Sunset whipped her forehead of the sweat that had started accumulating on her forehead off and set to work removing the guts of the drum break she had finally managed to free, setting the old parts into a barrel outside the shop, Sunset set to work removing the other three drum brake systems from Christine. Three hours had passed since Sunset had begun her arduous task of removing the old brakes and she had finally finished, smiling to herself for completing the task she set out into the junkyard to see if she could find disc brake systems or at the very least replacement drum brakes. Walking through the yard, the wind whistled through the metal and sparse trees, bringing with it the chill of the fall air letting all know winter was around the corner, armed with a small tool box, hammer and crowbar Sunset started searching the newer cars that had been brought into the junkyard. As the wind turned from nippy to breezy it whistled through the rust holes of junkers and shattered windows, and as a girl with fiery red hair was walking back through the yard to the garage with a box of parts. Sunset smiled to herself because what she thought was going to be at least an all day adventure had only turned out to be two hours of time, and a couple bloody knuckles. Walking back into the garage Sunset set the box of drum brake parts down on the cement floor of the garage, she smiled to herself as she began the task of putting the parts back where the old used to be. As Sunsets finished fitting the last drum brake cover, she wiped the sweat from her brow and walked over to the bead breaker, gripping the first tire she hefted it into place so the wheel stud holes were lined up. Sliding the rim and tire into place she started screwing on the three lug nuts that would hold the sheet to the machine, flipping the power switch on the air compressor in the back left corner of the garage kicked on. Moving the arm into place she pressed the pedal to get the tire to move, depressing the pedal that moved the arm in, it moved slowly as the bead around the tire was broken, as the rubber was moved back slowly until it had made a full rotation. Pressing the pedal to stop the tire from moving and moving the arm out of her way, she removed the lug nuts and once more grabbed the tire and removing it from its place, put it on top of the machine to remove the rubber from the rim. Fifteen minutes later Sunset had four clean rims and four horribly weather cracked white walls, grabbing a bite pad and a piece of paper Sunset started checking the tires for their size so she could look through the tire pile to see if there were at least four good tires as she found the numbers she wrote them down. "205 R 15's, shouldn't be too hard to find" Sunset said out loud. Smiling she looked at Christine, "don't worry Christine I'll find you some new tire *yawn* but more than likely I'll have to do it tomorrow" walking up to Christine Sunset patted her roof "good night Christine I'll see you tomorrow." As Sunset walked away from Christine and into the fading light, she didn't see Christine's lights glow softly or hear the small buzzing of a radio station cutting in and out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sunday~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As the sun rose over the junkyard the sky was cast in hues of pink and yellow, as the clouds came into sight from the gray of the fading moon. Not very many people were up at this hour, and none ever came to the junkyard on days like today, but today was an exception to the rule. Because strolling through the entrance wearing a black jacket was Sunset, her fiery red hair looking like a blaze and shimmering in the morning suns rays, as she passed the garage she stopped but once to admire the beauty of Christine as the rays from the sun reflected off the worn red paint that was somehow more vibrant. With her note book in hand Sunset rounded the corner of the garage where tires were lined up in neat stacked rows, Grogar only kept good tires and sent the old ones to be recycled. As Sunset walked along the small rows of tires, she had thoughts of failing to find the right tires in the junkyard, she didn't have enough money to go out and buy brand new white walls. Smiling to herself and with a pep in her step she refused to give up before even beginning, after all Christine was counting on her. As Sunset came to the last row behind the garage her high spirits left her, as none of the tires she had seen were the right size but as she was about to turn around and walk back to the garage her eyes caught sight of a sun bleached blue tarp, walking up to the tarp Sunset carefully removed the rocks holding it in place and slowly removed it from whatever it was hiding from the world. A gasp was heard from Sunset as the sun's rays peaked out from behind the clouds and hit what was hidden beneath the tarp in a halo of golden light. Running her hand on the outer wall of the tire, Sunset couldn't believe her luck, "205 R 15's, and they're white walls" she said. As her hand made a full rotation around the tire, smiling once more and her spirit lifted Sunset grabbed the first tire and hefted it onto her shoulder, she gripped the second tire and trekked back to the bead breaker in the garage. As she walked into the garage with the new set of white wall tires, she looked at the rusted rims whose chrome had long since faded, frowning to herself for overlooking such a large detail Sunset set down the last two tires on the other two she had brought in earlier. Deciding to rectify her mistake Sunset brought the rims over to the sandblasting area two at a time so she could better manage her time. Suiting up in the protective cover suit and putting on the respiratory mask and safety goggles for sandblasting Sunset turned on the air compressor in the blasting area and set to methodically sandblasting the rims and old chrome clean of rust. Like a magician with a wand Sunset passed the sandblasting gun back and forth over each rim, the bumpers and small rusted chrome pieces she had pulled from Christine the day before. With the soft buzzing of the air compressor in the background Sunset lost herself in the melodic movements and satisfying removal of rust that before she knew it two hours had passed and she was finished. Shutting off the air compressor and disconnecting the sand blasting gun Sunset removed the safety goggles and respirator to admire her work. Double checking she had removed all the paint and rust from the surface of each item she had sandblasted. She set to work smoothing any and all rough edges that remained before repainting the rims and bumpers satisfied with the finished results she went to work setting up the paint gun. As Sunset set to work to repaint the rims, bumpers and small items in chrome Christine was repairing herself. Since she had been alone for two hours she had repaired her exhaust and realigned her steering, as the cracks in her windshield started to disappear, sunset walked back into the garage through the doors to the paint bay. "Don't worry Christine, your rims and tires should be back on before nightfall" Sunset started as she walked over to the controls for the lift, lowering Christine so she could check her engine Sunset continued, "now I believe I'll need to change your oil, antifreeze and also check your spark plugs to make sure they're all firing correctly alright." And as Sunset finished talking she walked away from Christine to grab what tools she would need to check everything, but as her back turned she barely saw the windshield wipers go up and then back down to anyone else it would seem the wiper motors were on the fritz, but to Sunset she knew Christine had winked in her own way. Returning to Christine with a ratchet, a few sockets and a drain pan, Sunset carefully removed the spark plug caps from their resting place on the tops of spark plugs. Testing each socket she had grabbed to make sure one of them had a snug fit, finding the right one and attaching it to the ratchet she began the task of removing all eight spark plugs. As the last spark plug she began checking each one of them and each one had the same result, carbon build up on the bottom of them, shaking her head Sunset walked over to where the new spark plugs where kept and grabbed eight of them an began to reinstall them into the empty holes the old had come from. Reattaching the spark plug caps in the correct order, Sunset once more raised the lift until she was able to walk under Christine. Placing the drain pan underneath the oil pan bolt, she began to once more test each socket until she found the one that fit snuggly. Unattaching the spark plug socket, she attached the socket that would remove the oil pan not and slowly started to loosen it, as it got looser, Sunset set the ratchet aside and started to lessen the bolt by hand. As the bolt left the oil pan thick black oil started to drain into the drain pan at a relative pace, and as thick globs of black gunk started to clog the hole slowing the rate of leaving oil Sunset grabbed a screwdriver to remove the blockages that came and quickly went until all the oil had been removed. Grabbing the oil pan bolt Sunset reinserted it and tightened it up until it was snug and tightened just a bit more. Grabbing the oil filter wrench she unscrewed the oil filter and let it drop into the drain pan, pulling the drain pan from underneath Christine, Sunset opened the box holding a new oil filter and set it beside the old one to make sure they were the same size. Happy that the new one was a match Sunset reattached the oil filter and once more lowered Christine so she could put the new oil in. Grabbing the glug free six quart box of SAE 5w-30 she removed the oil cap and began refilling Christine's engine with new oil. As the box emptied Sunset reattached the oil cover and pulled the oil dipstick out, she wiped it clean of any oil in it and reinserted it and pulled it out once more, seeing that it was on the full line she again reinserted it and smiled to herself. "Well Christine let me see if your rims have dried so I can put the new tires on them and then you'll be wearing all new tires" Sunset said happily. As she turned around to go back into the paint bay she heard the buzzing of a radio station that wasn't quite coming in correctly "and maybe I'll fix your antenna as well." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Monday~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Grogar walked into the garage of his junkyard he saw a sight he had never seen in a long time. His high school employee was asleep in one of his rolling chairs with her head set on the hood of the car she had bought and been repairing. Shaking his head he smiled slightly as he walked to his office to grab a blanket he kept there for cases like this, though it hadn't been used in years. As he walked away from Sunset he noticed the sun reflecting off the pristine red paint, and repaired chrome he smiled once more that Sunset had brought what he thought was a clunker back to full glory. As he continued to walk he heard the unmistakable groaning of a teenager who hadn't gotten much sleep the night before and he decided to engage in witty banter he hadn't had in years. "Good morning sleeping beauty, stay late did ya?" He asked as he turned around to see Sunset stretching out. "Mmmhmmm" was the only answer sunset could formulate with her half asleep mind. Laughing slightly Grogar asked "you want some coffee?" "If you don't mind Grogar, I think Christine will be finished today, but truthfully I'm not sure" Sunset said groggily as she started to stand up. Laughing slightly Grogar walked to his office to start a pot of coffee for himself and Sunset, placing a filter into the coffee maker he began the task of placing the coffee and filling the reservoir with water. Turning on the machine that would bring life blood to his half dead employee he waited until the empty pot was filled with the nectar of the gods. Out in the garage Sunset was sitting behind the wheel of Christine smiling to herself as she ran her hands over the steering wheel, as her left hand passed eight on the wheel the radio crackled to life. As Grogar walked back into the garage holding two cups of hot coffee he heard music, walking through the bays, the song got louder he realized it had been a lifetime since he had heard it. Smiling to himself he came to the fury that his employee had restored and found her with her head resting beside the steering wheel on the dash, and as the song came to an end her head came up slightly to see him smiling at her and holding the life blood she so desperately needed. Stepping out of Christine Sunset grabbed one of the cups and said "thanks Grogar." "Don't mention it Sunset, so how's the repairs going?" He asked. "They'll be finished today and tomorrow I'm going to go back to school," Sunset said. As Grogar opened his mouth to retort, Sunset continu "I know you said I should take some time off, but I think I should prove my innocence by working towards it, and proving I'm not a horrible person." "Alright if you believe that's what you should do I'm not going to stop you" he said with a smile on his face. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~ Sitting in the cafeteria of Canterlot high school five teens were sitting by themselves, each stewing in their own anger. Applejack's fist was clenching and unclenching, Rainbow Dash had a fire in her eyes none had seen before. Rarity was a bit more green than white, Fluttershy was more hidden than usual in her oversized sweatshirt and Pinkie Pie's hair was a little less poofy and a little more straight. More secrets had been posted by Anon-A-Miss, yet Sunset hadn't been seen since Friday, in fact she had completely missed school and with Anon-A-Miss still posting, things were going downhill quickly. Yet the five girls at the table had a plan they had found a book that could contact Twilight and they were waiting for a response. A New DawnAuthor's Note It's a little shorter than I'd like but I hope you enjoy it none the less, Truth and Sirens It was early morning at Canterlot High School, the only people around were the teachers and janitors inside of the school preparing for the day ahead. Most students were still at home or making their commute all except for five teens who sat by the wonder colt statue. As the morning sun cast it's rays upon the statue, the mirror in front of the statue began to twist and distort, until a swirling magenta cloud could be seen within, the girls didn't have to wait much longer for just as the clouds began to cover the sun the portal opened and out came a magenta teen with black glasses, plaid skirt and white tee shirt. She was deposited onto the soft grass of the school lawn as once the clouds covered the sun the portal closed and the mirror once more was normal. Shaking herself from the sudden burst of the portal's magic the girl was helped to her feet by Pinkie and Fluttershy as the other three girls waited until she was standing. As her bearings returned and she got her balance situated, the girl cast her eyes upon the ones who helped her with kindness, but as her eyes cast upon the other three they became cold and calculating. "Were mighty glad you're here Twilight" Applejack said as her arms crossed. "We need your help." "As you said in your message" Twilight started. "Now what exactly is this problem you're having with Sunset that you needed me to help with that you girls couldn't figure out on your own?" She asked them with a cold glare. "Sunset is sharing everyone's secrets online, and we need you to take her back to Equestria, now!" Rainbow Dash said angrily. "Oh? And have you talked with Sunset about this? Any of you?" She asked everyone of the girls. "No…" Pinkie answered as her hair deflated slightly. "I've been a little too scared," Fluttershy said, hiding behind her hair. "Well...no" Rarity said shyly. "Applejack, Rainbow Dash? What about you two" Twilight asked. "What about us we know for fact it was that little" Rainbow started before she was cut off. "Oh, and how do you know for fact it was her? Or did you just accuse her and use her as a scapegoat so you wouldn't have to face the truth" Twilight said angrily. "What are ya gettin at Twi?" Applejack asked calmly. "We had the same issue in Equestria only except it was with my new student Starlight" Twilight started. "And what does this have to do with our problem?" Applejack asked, quirking an eyebrow. "Because! The foal free press in my world had someone writing everypony's secret and everypony believed it was Starlight until we dug deeper and found out who the true culprits were" Twilight said half angrily. "Culprits? Meaning more than one?" Applejack asked. Then her eyes widened as all the puzzle pieces clicked into place "you don't mean?" "Yes," Twilight said with a stern and convicted voice. "What does she mean Applejack?" Rarity asked, wanting to understand what Applejack figured out. "It was our sisters on her side of the portal that were spreading everyone's secrets, but that means…" Applejack started. "Absolutely nothing on this side" Rainbow said angrily unaware of the three children behind her. "Now you're going to take Sunset to your world or else" she started before being interrupted. "How'd you figure it out?" A small voice said from behind Rainbow Dash. "Yeah how'd you figure out it was us?" Another voice asked causing the three older girls to look behind them causing all of their eyes to widen and Twilight's to narrow. Because standing behind them were their sisters, as Applejack and Rarity's jaws dropped with horror Rainbow just got angrier. Spinning around Rainbow was ready to tear into a smirking Twilight for using some form of manipulation spell. She caught movement from Pinkie Pie, and as she cast her eyes upon her she was the only one to witness the mother of all doozies. Pinkie's hair went straight then poofy, her eyes rolled around in her skull as her jaw chatted. Her left arm shot out and back in and she bounced five times in a row, finishing off the doozy she did a full 360 degree rotation and quadruple backflip landing on her feet. "Wooh that was one hell of a doozy" Pinkie said with a tone between chipper and dark. "Pinkie" Rainbow said slowly as all of the girls cast their eyes upon their friend. "What did that mean?" She asked with a twinge of something she quite didn't understand in her voice. "I don't know, it was a mix between someone new is coming here and a horrible sensation followed it. Like something dark is descending upon us" Pinkie said and as she finished talking the girls heard music. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Junkyard~~~~~~~~~~~~ As the sun cast it's rays upon the junkyard, the light reflected off from gleaming red and white paint. Sitting outside the bay door of the garage where she had been repaired Christine waited patiently for the girl with fiery red hair who had shown her love that she hadn't seen for years, and as the clock in the garage struck 6:30 she saw her. Walking through the gate of the junkyard with a smile on her face Sunset cast her eyes upon Christine, as her smile grew wider she made her way to Christine, reaching the only one to bring her happiness in the dark time she was in she sighed as she slid into the driver's seat. "Well Christine, it's time to face school once more, but with you there I'll be strong and face all my accusers" she said with a smile as she turned the key. Christine's 318 cu in V8 engine rumbled to life, putting pressure on the clutch Sunset shifted Christine into first, slowly letting off the clutch and putting pressure on the gas pedal Sunset and Christine started rolling away from the garage and towards the gate. Stopping at the exit of the yard, Sunset looked both ways before cruising out onto the open road, as the tachometer hit three thousand rpms, Sunset pressed the clutch and shifted to second gear, letting off the clutch and putting more pressure on the gas Christine sped up more. Shifting into third Sunset and Christine entered Canterlot, as everyone was going about their early morning routines, they stopped and watched as Christine rolled by. As the radio sprang to life, Sunset let her left arm rest outside the opened window, with her left hand resting on twelve on the steering wheel. Christine and her cruised closer to CHS stopping at the first red light they had come to Sunset smiled, and caressed the steering wheel waiting for the light to change. As the light changed to green, she shifted Christine back into first and rolled towards their final destination, as the highschool came into view Sunset slowed down as the song on the radio continued, announcing to everyone at the school, Christine's love for Sunset. As Sunset turned into the school parking lot she saw her five ex friends who had accused her, their sisters and someone she didn't expect to see, Twilight Sparkle. As she and Christine rolled through the parking lot, turning into a parking spot, Sunset shut off Christine and took the key out of the ignition. Getting out she headed towards the group of girls who seemed to be in a heated argument, walking closer she began to hear what was being said. "Stop lying Scootaloo we know for fact it was Sunset" Rainbow yelled at her adopted sister. "But we're telling the truth we are Anon-A-Miss we did it because you weren't spending time with us" Scootaloo said as her and the other crusaders looked towards the ground. "They're telling the truth Rainbow" Applejack said, looking saddened and frustrated. "We have to accept that fact and apologize." "I'm not apologising to that demon" Rainbow shouted as she walked away. "What's going on? Why are you here Twilight?" Sunset asked as she finally reached the group of girls. Twilight turned around with a smile as the other seven girls turned to look at her with sadness and regret in their eyes. "Sunset, I came here to check up on you. The girls also have something to tell you, let's walk and talk" Twilight said looking at the girls that stayed with a stern expression. The seven girls nodded simultaneously and started heading for the school unaware that Rainbow had stayed behind and was eyeing the car Sunset had arrived in. Walking up to the car Rainbow gave it a dirty look, "Sunset will learn not to mess with us ever again" she said with a demented grin on her face as she turned on her heels and headed towards the school. But as she walked away she didn't see the headlights of the car turn on dimly and shut off, or hear the radio buzz slightly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Cafeteria~~~~~~~~~~~~ "So you're saying that Sunset brainwashed your sister and your friend's sisters and set them up to take the fall?" A blue girl with white hair asked. "Damn that's messed up" a boy in a tracksuit said. "I know right, and that's not all, she shows up in this old car like it's going to make her more popular" Rainbow said angrily as her eyes flashed red. "You thinking what I'm thinking Soarin," a brown haired girl asked. "What are you thinking, Gilda?" Rainbow asked, as all the teens at the table looked to her. "We destroy the car" she said with a devious smile as Trixie, Rainbow, Soarin, Garble, and Flash all laughed sadistically. Meanwhile behind the table of five sat three teens with glowing red ruby necklaces who were smiling ear to ear. ~~~~~~~~~~~Parking~Lot~~~~~~~~~~~~ Two teachers were walking hand in hand back to the school from their quick lunch break, smiling and laughing with each other. As the pair got closer to the school they passed a particular car they didn't pay any attention to, at least until the radio crackled to life. The pair spun around looking for the sound of the music and as they cast their eyes upon the red and white fury, their eyes almost popped out of their heads. "Chrissy" the black haired teacher said. "It can't be Sombra, we destroyed it!" Chrissy said with a nervous tick in her voice. As the song got louder the lights turned on and the engine rumbled to life causing the two teachers to turn around and run away all while the car played it's happy song.
PrologueForsaken She had sat rusting in that junkyard for years, alone, heart broken from the death of the only man to ever love her.
