Maynard Mineheart, a human lieutenant, was beheaded by opposing forces in his Theatre of War and with a miraculous turn of events he was instead transported to a whole new world called Equus, the land of Equestria is inhabited by peaceful and pacifist ponies ruled over by the benevolent diarchy Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, whom in their attempt to prepare the ponies of Equestria for an inevitable conflict with the newly unified Queendom of the Changeling Lands by Queen Chrysalis, the Radical Socialist State of the people of Stalliongrad under Starry Night, and the griffons of the Kingdom of Griffonstone of Her Majesty, Gyrille, both alicorn princess employs Maynard, now Azure Destiny, as the Field Marshal of the Equestrian Armed Forces.
