What You Want

So, this is what Rainbow Dash wants? So be it.

"Hey. Hey! Wake up, dumbass!", a voice said. Rainbow Dash opened her eyes. She saw a puppet attached to her left hand.

"What the fuck?!", Rainbow Dash screamed. She tried to rip the puppet off, to no avail.

"Hey! Shut the fuck up, host!", the puppet said. "My name's Scout, and we need to find Mortimer. He'll tell us how to get the fuck out of here."

"What is this?! How did I get here?!", Rainbow Dash angrily asked the puppet.

"Let me explain. Years ago, a bad Sesame Street knock-off called Mortimer's Handeemen was canceled and forgotten, but the puppets from the show have come to life, they're pure evil, and they have plans for you. I'm different, though. I can help you get out of here", Scout answered. "Mortimer knows how to get out. He's the head honcho. We'll have to work together, host."

"Stop calling me that! My name is Rainbow Dash!", the super-heroine said. Suddenly, Mortimer's voice was heard over an intercom.

"Hello, Rainbow Dash, it's time to die! You will no longer be able to fly! I have some friends, they want to meet you! They will want to kill you, too!", Mortimer said. A banging was heard. "Oh, look who it is! Rosco's come to play! Looks like I'll have a happy day!" The aforementioned dog puppet roared in the distance.

"Shit! Shit! Run!", Scout said. Rainbow Dash activated her geode and ran at superhuman speed. However, Rosco was able to catch up with her.

"I knew that you would use your powers, so I made some adjustments! Now, it is time to meet your ends! That didn't rhyme, but I don't care! Get the hell out of my hair!", Riley said from within Rosco. Rainbow Dash managed to escape the rampaging monster.

"What the fuck was that?!", Rainbow Dash screamed. She slapped Scout over and over again in anger, but she noticed something. Every time she slapped the hand puppet, a light from inside was affected.

"Yeah, I'm a fucking lightning bug", Scout said calmly. "Er... firefly. I'll say this much: you're a pretty cool person. I know you're scared, but if my hunches are correct, you're an Equestria Girl. The other puppets told stories about you and your friends. You're Rainbow Dash, the brave adventure-type. You can get out of here if you try. I think we're near the stage, but this place is a maze."

"Don't worry. I'll find it", Rainbow Dash said. She zoomed around the maze, but she couldn't find the stage. "Fuck."

"You're not the first person to come here, you know. Anthony Pierson is a conspiracy-theorist-and-Mythbuster-type character exploring the mystery of Mortimer's Handeemen. Upon seeing the living puppets running amok the decommissioned sound stage, he reacted not with fear, but a joy that his beliefs were real. He continued to return to the studio, documenting his research on the odd puppet creatures. Eventually, he brought his research to the press, who denied its validity, laughing him right out of the office, later he brought to the police who disregarded it based on Anthony's history of being an uncreditable alcoholic, telling him to submit the evidence to Mad Magazine. After failing to get anyone to believe him he proceeded to sell most of his belongings and bought some animal traps in order to trap Mortimer in should he be able to capture him, getting the concrete evidence to secure his credibility to his claims. He also tattooed his own hand just in case he failed for people to know what he was and that he wasn't just a husk. He managed to overpower Mortimer and nearly capture him. However, he failed in the attempt and was turned into Mortimer's new host. This is evident by the tattoo on Mortimer's host hand", Scout said.

"Some things are better left unsolved, but I'll destroy Mortimer when we get to the stage", Rainbow Dash said. Eventually, they made it to the stage, where Mortimer, Rosco, Riley, and a Sock Puppet (named Kathy) were waiting... with a tea set. "Yeah, no. I'm not doing that." She got into a running stance. "Time to turn this tea party into a bloodbath... wait. Do you guys have blood?"

"Not exactly. We have stuffing", Scout answered.

"A... stuff-bath? Eh, I've said stranger things", Rainbow Dash quipped. She zoomed towards the puppets and grabbed Mortimer. Scout bit Anthony's wrist, severing the hand. Rainbow Dash pinned Mortimer to the table, killing him. Kathy's eyes turned red, but Scout growled at her, causing the Sock Puppet to back off. Rosco knocked the table over, sending Rainbow Dash flying into a wall. She ran back through the maze, beginning another chase.

"I'LL RIP YOUR ORGANS OUT, AND YOU WILL BE ONE OF US! A HUMAN-SIZED PUPPET WILL CREATE SUCH A FUSS!", Riley shrieked. "YOU'RE ONLY CATTLE! ROAMING ABOUT WITHOUT A HOME! TO THE STAGE YOU'RE BOUND TO ROAM!" Rainbow Dash and Scout managed to lose the rampaging monster through the maze. They made it back to where they started and closed the doors, but Scout got caught in the hinges. Rainbow Dash pulled the puppet free, but Scout's right arm ripped off.

"Scout!", Rainbow Dash screamed. She continued running towards the end of a hallway, where there was a light. "We're almost there! Just hold on!"

"I'll see you around, my friend...", Scout said before dying and falling off of Rainbow Dash's hand. Rainbow Dash ran outside, where she grabbed a box of matches and set the headquarters on fire, killing everyone and destroying everything inside... including Scout and the puppets. A tear ran down Rainbow Dash's face, but she knew that the puppets were no more. A voodoo cloud appeared from the burning building and chased Rainbow Dash through Canterlot City. A hand formed from the cloud and attempted to grab her, but she was too fast. Eventually, the cloud evaporated into nothingness.

"That... was weird", Rainbow Dash quipped.
