//-------------------------------------------------------// A Good Mare -by Eternal Requiem- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Sun Caught In Her Violet Mane //-------------------------------------------------------// The Sun Caught In Her Violet Mane Celestia was a good mare. Though she often extolled the virtues of humility, she was justly proud of her virtue. She was the only mare to have wielded all of the Elements of Harmony, had proven herself Loyal, and Honest, and Kind, and Hopeful, and Magical. And Generous. "With full access to the Royal Vaults, I should have all the dresses completed by the end of the week, Your Majesty." Rarity stood proud before the throne, looking radiant as the afternoon sun shone down on her through the windows. A worthy successor of Harmony's power, the unicorn had proven to be as magnanimous as she was beautiful, and Celestia's thoughts had been haunted by visions of her visage since she had first laid eyes on her. "That's wonderful," the good princess said, her voice kind and gentle as it always was. "I knew you were the perfect mare for the job." That was one of Celestia's talents, of course. The ability to find the right pony for the right job to better serve Equestria. Celestia had served Equestria for so long as her dutiful ruler. She had sacrificed so much, endured more pain than most mortals could conceive of, and given her whole life to building up a nation that was prosperous and strong. And she had never asked for anything in return. Until now. Rarity bowed politely. "I am honoured that you chose me to make your dress for this year's Grand Galloping Gala." Her coat was flawless, and her mane so lustrous that Celestia wanted nothing more than to bury her muzzle in it. The princess' eyes roamed the unicorn's body unwittingly, entranced by her beauty. "Shall I speak with your assistant about booking a session to take your measurements in the next few days?" "There is no need for that," Celestia replied. "I've freed up the rest of my afternoon already. If you have what you need we could do the fitting now." She'd planned this ahead of time, agonized over her decision for weeks, and now it was happening. Celestia was a good mare, and she deserved a reward for her service to Equestria. "Oh!" The look of surprise on Rarity's expression was quickly covered up as she adopted her previous professional demeanour. "That would be most convenient, Your Majesty." "Wonderful!" Fire raced through Celestia's soul as she stepped down from the throne and used her magic to open up a door at the back of the room. "Shall we?" To be alone with Rarity for the first time was terrifying and exhilarating, and she felt the familiar pangs of guilt assailing her heart. She shouldn't be doing this. She should tell Rarity that some emergency had come up and reschedule this fitting to a later date. They ascended the staircase and continued onwards. As they walked, Celestia found herself constantly looking backwards at Rarity's smiling face. Ostensibly, it was to ensure that the seamstress hadn't lost her way, though the idle chatter between them was enough to ensure that. Celestia was barely aware of what they spoke of. Something about Twilight and the goings-on in Ponyville, but at this point small talk was so ingrained into her that she barely processed the topics themselves. Her mind was far too occupied with thoughts of this mare who had wormed her away into her heart and soul. It wasn't hard to figure out why Celestia desired Rarity so. A pony would have to be a fool not to notice how superlatively gorgeous the mare was, or how her voice must have been gifted to her by an angel, or how talented she was at the art of creating beauty and how she used that skill to elevate her looks. And of course, she possessed a heart more valuable than any diamond, one that tempered her ambition and fiery passions that Celestia had witnessed time and time again in her scrying spells. It was important to keep track of the new bearers of the Elements, after all, for the safety of Equestria. That she'd found herself observing Rarity more than any of the others was simply out of concern for her well-being, as the world of the Canterlot Elite could be cutthroat. Still, despite how attractive Rarity was, Celestia should have been above the base desires that now tormented her. After all, she was The Sun Incarnate, a pure Princess who was above the common, vulgar, licentious crowd. Not that there wasn't something wrong with the common pony, of course — Celestia loved each and every one of her people! It was just that, as an alicorn, there were certain things that were beneath her. And yet... And yet. "Ah, here we are." Rarity looked up at Celestia in surprise as she saw the door she had just opened. "Y-Your private chambers, Princess?" In those wide, blue eyes, Celestia was reminded of the million times her soul had been scorched by this bewitching mare. Of how the fires of desire had grown within her despite her best efforts to ignore them, had burned away the purity she prided herself on. "Please, call me Celestia. After all you've done for Equestria, you deserve that much at least." She deserved the world, and she certainly didn't deserve what was about to happen, but Celestia deserved more for all she had done. "Very well, Celestia. Shall we begin?" The way Rarity said her name sent another wave of fire rippling under Celestia's skin. It felt... intimate, and Celestia longed to hear it again. "Of course, Rarity." A roll of measuring tape floated out from Rarity's bags and hovered by Celestia's side. As her magic aura brushed against the princess' coat, Celestia suppressed a shiver. A few moments of silence passed as Rarity circled Celestia, the measuring tape snapping back and forth along her body. Celestia was no stranger to this ritual, and dutifully shifted to allow the fashionista to get the correct angles needed to ply her trade. All the while, the desire that Celestia had ignored for so long grew slowly, her eyes constantly tracing out the graceful curves of the unicorn as she moved and her mind forcing upon her images that no monarch should be imagining about her subjects. She closed her eyes and, for a moment, imagined running her hooves over that smooth coat, trailing down until... Celestia shook her head. No, this was wrong. She was the Princess of Equestria, the Divine Protector of Ponykind. Would she really give that up to be with this temptress? She knew her answer before she finished thinking the question. There had never truly been any doubt, not since she had sent out the letter informing Rarity that she had been chosen to make her dress for the Grand Galloping Gala. "So, you've told me quite a bit about the excitement of living in Ponyville," the princess said aloud as the seamstress finished the last of her measurements. "But I do have one last question. I'm very pleased that my faithful student has made so many friends, and that her studies of friendship have advanced so quickly. I must admit, though, that I am also curious if she has explored other types of relationships since leaving her library." Rarity, ever the astute one, caught on quickly. "Oh my, are we perhaps engaging in gossip, Celestia?" She let out a soft giggle, a siren song to Celestia's ears. "I haven't heard her speak of anypony who might have caught her interest, unfortunately. I think the poor dear is still waiting until she's confident in her friendships to seek out more." "That is understandable." Heart pounding in her chest, Celestia made her move. "And you, Rarity? Any mare or stallion that's stolen your heart?" Jealousy filled her at the thought, and she struggled to keep her tone light and teasing. To her relief, Rarity shook her head. "After the last Gala, I'm afraid I've sworn off love for some time until I decide what I want." "I'm sorry about my nephew's behaviour," Celestia said. "And I assure you that not all royalty are like him." "Of course," Rarity replied. "I know that you are nothing like him, naturally. And Luna as well." "I am not." It was time. Celestia had not been so nervous since her sister's return. "And unlike him, I would have returned your affections instead of spurning them." Rarity's eyes widened at those words. "Y-Your Majesty..." "Please, call me Celestia." Whether it was a plea or a command, Celestia would never know. "Celestia," Rarity repeated, seeming to get a grip on herself. "I'm flattered, truly I am, but..." She shrugged helplessly. "I'm sorry." And that was what had stayed Celestia's hoof for so long. In her spells, she had seen Rarity speak of the princesses before, after being ribbed by Rainbow Dash about her taste in stallions. Celestia's heart had shattered when she heard her beloved say that, as much as she respected the alicorns, she had no interest in either of them romantically. From that day onwards, Celestia had known that should she approach Rarity with a declaration of affection, she would be rebuffed, and that had stopped her from acting for so long. She'd been content to pine away from a distance, letting the lust within fester like a disease. But Celestia was a good mare. "Rarity, please... you don't know how long I've wanted you. What I would be willing to do for you." Oh, how she had agonized over the lengths she would go to possess this mare, what she would be willing to sacrifice for the Element of Generosity. "I would love and cherish you each day, grant you titles and riches beyond imagination. You know the power I wield — I would lay it all before you if you would accept me." "I— I'm sorry," Rarity said again. "Truly, Celestia, I don't know what to say. I cannot feel for you what you seem to feel for me." Celestia was a good mare, and she would have her reward for her millennia of service to Equestria. "Ponies often do not know the truth of their hearts. If you search deeply, you might find another answer to my offer." It killed her to make her voice cold, but Celestia had to do what was necessary. "Think of all I could offer you, and what the rest of Canterlot would think of somepony rejecting a princess." Celestia was an honest mare, and all she had to do was speak the truth to Rarity to make her see the light. Horror flashed across the seamstress' expression as she processed the meaning behind Celestia's words. "Your Majesty..." She backed away fearfully, eyes darting towards the door that would take her far away from this place. "Celestia," the princess corrected. "You know how the game is played here in this city, Rarity. My favour would be invaluable to you, and I have decided the fates of many ponies among the elite in my time." There was no need to say what the price of her disfavour could be — Rarity was a smart mare, smart enough to read between the lines and see that she only had one choice to make. The right choice. "I— why, Celestia? How could you force this on me?" Anger burned in Rarity's eyes as she looked up at her. "How could you betray the trust of all of Equestria?" Anger and disgust. It killed Celestia to see it, but soon enough she would see the light. "For a thousand years I have ruled this nation alone," Celestia explained, allowing her frustration to bleed through. "I have never asked for anything in return. Until now. Surely, as the Element of Generosity, you can understand that I am due a reward for my service?" "Love is not something that is owed to anyone," Rarity snarled. "Least of all to somepony who would try to force it from another." "Perhaps," Celestia admitted. "But I have spent centuries taking what I needed in order to rule this kingdom. It's time I took something I wanted for myself." She hardened her voice once again, allowing the dark fire racing through her soul to purge the last of her guilt. "So, what will be your choice, Rarity? Will you be mine, or will you deny me what is my right?" Celestia was a good mare, and owed Rarity for her goodness. Fortunately, Rarity seemed to see it her way as well, as she bowed her head. "What do you wish of me, Celestia?" she asked, sounding defeated. "Come here." When Rarity hesitated, Celestia added, "Do not be afraid, my dear. I mean you no harm." Slowly, Rarity took a step towards her. And then another. And another, until she stood close enough for Celestia to touch. Which she did, reaching out a hoof to stroke her cheek. Rarity flinched at the gesture, but didn't move away. "I won't ever forgive you for this," Rarity hissed as Celestia stepped forwards towards her. "We shall see," Celestia replied, her other hoof brushing Rarity's soft coat and marvelling at the sensation. "I'm good at changing ponies' minds." She pulled Rarity into an embrace, ignoring how stiff her love was in her forelegs. "Oh, how I've longed for this moment for so long, my dear. So many times I've dreamt of it, as if you had cast a love spell on me." "I did no such thing," Rarity hissed. "I know," Celestia replied. "But still, I fear that your presence is blazing me out of control." Her hooves roamed across Rarity's back, kneading slow circles with her hooves. "I've wanted you for so long, Rarity. Will you allow me to take you to bed?" "Do I have a choice?" The tears in Rarity's eyes broke Celestia's heart, but it didn't matter. It wasn't her fault that Rarity didn't desire her. Harmony had forced her hoof, driven her to these lengths by making this perfect temptress that so easily overcame her will. Celestia was a good mare, but Rarity had driven her to evil. "You always have a choice, Rarity," Celestia replied, smiling. She lifted her chin with a hoof, forcing their eyes to meet. "But if you deny me, I do not know how hot the flames within me will blaze. So I say to you: choose me, or your pyre. Be mine, or we all shall burn." "Do it, then," Rarity said hollowly. "Let's get this over with." She didn't resist as Celestia pulled her over to the bed and gently deposited her upon the silk sheets. "I promise you, we will both find our pleasure today." As if she was playing with a doll, Celestia rolled Rarity onto her back, her hooves stubbornly crossed together against her barrel. More tears rolled down her eyes as she stared upwards at the ceiling, refusing to meet Celestia's gaze. Undeterred, Celestia leaned over and pressed a kiss against Rarity's lips, forcing them to part and losing herself in bliss as she made their tongues dance. She gave herself up entirely to her lust, allowing herself to be more mare than princess for the first time in decades. Rarity's body trembled as Celestia gently pried her legs apart. She started with her forelegs, her muzzle moving downwards to pepper kisses along her vulnerable neck and down to her soft belly while her forelegs tugged at Rarity's until they were splayed against the sheets. Every move she made was gentle and slow, taking great care to ease Rarity's mind and to not hurt this siren who had entranced her in any way. Celestia was a kind mare, and she made her touch as soothing as she could as Rarity cried silently. "Please," Rarity whispered as Celestia trailed lower, her tongue lapping against her belly. "Don't do this. I beg you." "I swear I will make you happy, Rarity. Just give me the chance." With that Celestia's horn up, forcing Rarity's hindlegs apart and revealing her delicate sex. She raised her head a moment to admire it, before leaning in to press a gentle kiss against the pink flesh. Rarity whimpered. "I love you," Celestia said, and then her tongue began to work. Though she was no virgin, it had been a very long time since Celestia had taken a pony to bed, but she did her best to remember everything about pleasing a mare. Despite her apparent submission, Rarity resisted her efforts. She struggled against the magical bonds that Celestia was using to hold her limbs apart, jerking her hips away from the gentle ministrations against her sex. "No, no," she begged, "please stop." As the touch and scent and taste of her beloved filled the air, Celestia redoubled her efforts instead, drawing forth a pleasured gasp from Rarity as she suckled on the nub at the peak of her marehood. The lovely unicorn blushed, and a look of shame appeared on her face she finally came to the realization that she was enjoying Celestia's attentions, just as Celestia had predicted. Meanwhile, the princess' own nethers were burning in a conflagration of need that she could not recall ever feeling before. This was far more intense than anything Celestia had experienced, and it only further confirmed that this union was ordained by Harmony itself — Rarity could be naught but a demoness sent to tempt her into embracing her baser side. Still, despite how much she needed relief, Celestia did not touch herself, her hooves firmly focused on caressing her beloved and enhancing her pleasure. Celestia was a generous mare, and would ensure that Rarity's needs were tended to before her own. The subject of her obsession was crying openly now, even as pleasure overtook her, and Celestia was treated to the siren song of her lustful moans between her sobs. Her hips began to rock forward in time with the thrusting of her tongue, and as they moved in synchrony Celestia felt complete for the first time since she had last wielded the Elements. This was meant to be. "No!" Rarity cried out, and Celestia felt her tensing. "Oh stars, I can't... ahhh!" Her pleas were cut off as Celestia thrust deep within her walls and flicked her tongue at the sensitive parts as her hoof rubbed passionately at her nub. Her legs quaked, and Celestia could tell she was trying to hold back her release. Celestia pulled out for a moment. "Give yourself to me," she commanded. "Let the flames consume you as well. Come for me, Rarity!" One final lick, and then she suckled harshly on Rarity's clit as she teased her folds with a hoof. Rarity screamed in pleasure as her thighs quivered around Celestia's mouth, a torrent of her essence issuing forth from her loins. Celestia lapped it up eagerly, continuing to stimulate her lover as wave after wave of release rocked her lover. Through it all, Celestia could hear the unicorn crying out for mercy, but Celestia knew better — Rarity deserved everything Celestia had to give. Eventually, she let up as the last shocks of climax trailed off. Celestia looked at her well-pleasured bedmate and saw her staring blankly forwards, her eyes glazed over with ecstasy and resignation. Celestia was a hopeful mare, and she saw in Rarity's acceptance the first step to the love she so desired. "You see?" Celestia said kindly, stroking Rarity's thighs as she spoke. "You enjoyed that. I know you did. Be mine and mine alone, Rarity, and I shall grant you more than you could have dreamed of." Releasing the bondage spell, Celestia pulled the unicorn into a kiss. Her coat was matted in sweat from the earlier exertions, but that only made her more beautiful in the princess' eyes. She tried to put up a token resistance to the invasion of her mouth, but Celestia could tell her will was flagging. "Are you quite finished?" Rarity asked after they pulled apart. The light in her eyes had dimmed, and that saddened Celestia, but she knew she could bring it back in time once she possessed Rarity entirely. "Come now, Rarity," Celestia chided. "Do not try to hide your pleasure from me. I heard your cries when I took you." "I didn't..." Rarity faltered, rubbing her red, tear-stained eyes. "I didn't want that. You forced that pleasure upon me, you beast." Celestia tsked. "You'll understand in time, my love. For now, I believe it's time I sated my own lusts." Using her superior strength, she pushed Rarity's head downward, past her barrel and towards her own sopping nethers. "You are a generous mare, my dear. And I know you wouldn't wish to displease me." Rarity tried to pull away, but Celestia's iron grip against her lustrous purple mane held her in place. "I beg you, Your Majesty," Rarity pleaded, looking up at her with desperation. "Don't make me do this." Celestia shook her head. "I'm sorry, Rarity, but you've cast a spell upon me, and I cannot stop myself. Now, lick." With that, she forced her head against her folds, and a moment later, she felt the hesitant touch of a tongue against them. Rarity's technique was sloppy and rushed, the mare more concerned with getting Celestia to climax than expressing her love. That was okay with Celestia, though. Just the knowledge that she was being serviced by the mare she so desired was enough to heighten her pleasure beyond what the most skilled lovers could accomplish. So many times in her rule had Celestia fallen into despair, believing that she was destined to serve Equestria alone as its ruler for all eternity. At times, she had wondered if it was worth going on, if she would ever be allowed the joy she tried to grant her subjects. Though she never asked for a reward, part of her had always hoped that maybe, one day, Harmony would recognize her sacrifice and see fit to grant unto her a suitable recompense. And now, her prayers had been answered, in the form of this mare she was now grinding her marehood against. "Yes, just like that," Celestia gasped out as Rarity's tongue hit a particularly sensitive part of her inner walls. "I love you so much, my dear. Thank Harmony for making me weak enough to take you for myself. You're mine, Rarity, and I won't ever let you go, and I will not have any mercy for any who try to part us. Yes, yes!" A cry slipped from her lips as she pressed Rarity deeper and their motions grew more frantic. Rarity grunted against her marehood, but obeyed and continued her ministrations. Soon enough, she felt the first stirring of her release building up, the inferno of lust battering against that final barrier keeping her from release. "Cogitatione!" she shouted, frantically humping against her lover's face, time itself unravelling as she struggled to remember the language of the modern day. "Verbo et opere! Ab imo pectore, te amo!" The dam broke, and Celestia's mind blanked as ecstasy flooded her, filling her with pleasure and fulfillment beyond imagination. Rarity never let up with her tongue, and Celestia rode wave after wave against her face as she thrust her hips forwards again and again. "I love you, Rarity!" Finally, as the last shocks of pleasure wore off, she released her beloved, feeling sated and content. Rarity fell to the sheets, glaring up at her with hateful eyes. "Was it worth it?" she asked dully. "Was it worth your virtue to take mine?" "Not yet," Celestia said as her lust finally subsided, allowing her deeper desires to shine through even brighter. "You are mine, Rarity. I understand now that Harmony sent you to tempt me into sin, to give me a reward for all the good I have done, by letting me relish in my darker nature for a time. And now that you've given yourself to me, I can finally be happy in my love for you. I shall be with you, now and forever." Celestia was a loyal mare, and she would never let Rarity go. "I despise you, princess," Rarity spat. "You may possess my body, but you will never have my heart." "We shall see." Celestia's eyes narrowed. "I will expect you back here tomorrow night. And I wouldn't tell anypony else of what happened here — I doubt they would believe you, and few would be willing to stand against me even if they did." "I don't have much of a choice, do I?" Rarity asked, turning away. "If I don't show up tomorrow, I expect you'll just have the guards arrest me, or use your own powers to make me disappear." "I don't want to have to do that," Celestia said gently, patting Rarity's shoulder in a soothing gesture. "I want you to come to me, to make that choice. So please, choose me, and accept the inevitable." With a final, baleful glare, Rarity stalked out of the room, her tail covering her nethers and the evidence of their lovemaking. Celestia finally allowed herself to rest when she was alone once again. Today had gone as well as she could have expected, and she had hope now. Hope in a future where Rarity would accept her love, and become her devoted partner for the rest of her days. They would be so happy, and Celestia wouldn't be forced to force her into her bed. Yes, soon enough Rarity would give in, and Harmony's plan would be fulfilled. This was their destiny, to be consumed by the fires of passion and love, for Celestia to give her heart to this commoner who was far from common, and receive her devotion in return. Because Celestia was a good mare, and she would have her ultimate reward. The princess smiled to herself. "Omnia vincit amor."
