Enter Wild Star - Chapter 1 CHAPTER 1 - ORIGINS "I feel like I live in a world made of Cardboard" - Quote made by Superman in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. ================================================================================== Ponyville Train - Present Day A train headed for Ponyville had on it many passengers, but amongst all of them, a particular Green pegasus stallion was amongst them all. He wore nothing aside from a pair of green glasses designed for flight and a pair of gray bracelets on his front legs. "Say stranger." A lavander Alicorn mare suddenly approuched the strange pegasus. "This your first time heading into Ponyville?" She asked the pegasus. "Yes. Your a princess right? What you doing socializing with me?" The pegasus stallion said. "Well you since your new, and I like meeting new people, I figured I might as well get to know you. I'm Twilight Sparkle." The Alicorn Mare said. "May I ask for your name?" She asked. "Wild Star, 7 time champion of the Wild Wings Grand Prix." The Green Pegausus responded. "SEVEN time Champion? Geez, I'll have to introduce you to my friend Rainbow Dash. She would LOVE to race someone like you." Twilight Sparkle said. "She wouldn't stand a chance against me. No one does." Wild Star stated. "I've beaten every pegasus I've went up against. The challenge just isn't there anymore. Hence why I've started wearing my special Limitar Bracelets." He added, bringing up his bracelet covered hooves. "I wouldn't be so sure about that. Give her a shot, you might find yourself suprised." Twilight Sparkle said. "Especially because she's also a wonderbolt." She added. "Interesting. Never went up against a Wonderbolt before. Maybe there's still a bit of competition left for me after all. Might as well see what she has to offer in terms of speed, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Especially because winning the Junior Flier Championship in my youth is how I got my cutie mark." Wild Star said, motioning towards his cutie mark. Of all the cutie Marks Twilight has seen, this one was something else: A blue star adorned with red wings adorned the Stallion's flank. "The Junior Flier Championship? Geez, your a long way from home then." Twilight Sparkle said. "You have no idea. Allow me to set the stage for you. It was the day of the final race for the Junior Flier Championship; only me, three other pegasus, and two griffons were the last ones in the championship, and this was going to be the final race..." Wild Star Began. ================================================================================== Junior Flier Stadium - Past "Alright, let's make sure everyone remembers the rules: There are 200 Laps in this race; the first person to complete all 200 laps will win the championship.; once a winner has been declared, the race will end immediatly; and finally, if any one of you fliers interfers with another racer, you will be disqualified and punished accordingly after the race is through. And this goes double for you griffons!" The Pony in charge of the championship stated. "OF COURSE SIR!" Both Griffons said at the same time. "Now, if everyone is ready...Wait, where's Wild Star?" The pony asked. Suddenly a blur wizzed past the pony and took a position; a very young and cute markless Wild Star was suddenly there. "Sorry I'm late; I just needed to warm up first." Wild Star said. "Warm up? What, are you afraid you'll lose?" One of the pegasus asked. "Nope; just takes me a bit of a warm up to be able to fly at top speeds." Wild Star said. "What kind of pegesus needs a warm up to fly as fast as they can?" One of the other pegasus asked. "Leave him alone...we can show him up during the race bro." The third pegasus said. "Just so you know though, no matter which one of us wins, I'm just glad I got to race in this final race." He added. "Same here." One of the Griffon said. "Yeah you five just keep thinking that. Me? I'm planning on winning." Wild Star said. "You'll still have all five us on your tail there, warm up boy." The other griffon said. "The name's Wild Star; you'd do well to remember it." Wild Star said. "We will." The first pegasus said. "Yeah. When one of us beats you." The second pegasus said, causing the fivesome to laugh at Wild Star. "I wouldn't take this pegasus lightly if I was you five." The tournament pony said. "He's won all 25 of his required races by a landslide; not a single pony or griffon has been able to keep up with him." He added. "That's impossible!" The third Pegasus said. "Yeah, no one's THAT fast. Surely." The first Griffon said. "It's the truth." The Tournament Pony said. "I bet they just LET him win. Well, we aren't about to do that." The second griffon said, getting a nod from the other 4. "...Your overconfidence is going to be your downfall...just like everyone else..." The Tournament Pony said. Soon enough, the race was underway; but leading the pack was none other then Wild Star, who was outpacing the 5 randoms by quite the fair amount of distance. As the fivesome began to pick up speed, suddenly Wild Star flew by so fast, it was if the five other races suddenly experinced being caught in a tornado. Before any of them could realize it, a buzzer went off. "And that's the end of the race." The Tournament Pony said as Wild Star soon landed nearby them and the tournament Pony went up to them. "Congradulations to our winner, Wild Star." The Tournament Pony said, and gave the trophy to Wild Star. "HOLD UP! He cheated! He must have!" The first pegasus said. "Yeah, no way he was THAT fast." The Second pegasus said. "Again? Isn't this like the 26th time someone's tried to say that I won because I was cheating?" Wild Star asked the tournament Pony. "Yes. We've kept track. And we can safely say that Wild Star has not cheated what-so-ever." The Tournament Pony said. "But...but..." Was all the five races could get out now; they were in so much awe and disbelief at the speed of Wild Star. Suddenly, a light covered Wild Star's flank. "Whoa!" The third Pegasus spoke up. "Is that his cutie mark?" He asked. "Huh? What about my..." Wild Star took a look at his flank, and found his cutie mark there. "...It's my cutie mark! Allright! Winning the Junior Flier Championship and getting my cutie mark on the same day? TALK ABOUT SUPER ULTRA MEGA HYPE!" Wild Star suddenly shouted. The five soon realized that Wild Star really was just as fast as he appeared in that race. ================================================================================== Ponyville Train - Present Day "...'Super Ultra Mega Hype' my ass. After I was old enough to join the Wild Wings Grand Prix, I thought to myself 'hey, this might actually give me a challenge after winning the Junoir Flier Championship so easily'. Boy was I wrong. Do I need to bring up the 7 time champion thing again? For seven straight years now, I've won the Wild Wings Grand Prix, and every time I've won in a lanslide. It's gotten so bad, that I got a unicorn to make me these Limititar Bracelets so I wouldn't be so fast. I'm heading to Ponyville because I'm going to reflect on all my wins, and eventually announce my retirement. That's all that's left for me now, really. There's not a single challenge left for me. I warn you, Princess Twilgiht Sparkle...if your friend is found to be laking in skill...then there was no point in bringing her up." Wild Star said. "Don't underestimate Rainbow Dash or your overconfidence will be your downfall." Twilight Sparkle said. The train was about to arrive in Ponyville. "...I suppose it's just about time to put your money where your mouth is. Same with me I suppose." Twilight Sparkle stated. "Indeed..." Wild Star noted. Hypothetical question, personal quote ================================================================================== Wild Star's Race Course Scootaloo gulped as Rainbow Dash got into the starting position alongside the mysterious new male Pegasus known as Wild Star. During his warm-up laps, he was going just as fast as Rainbow Dash could, if not faster. She worried that this time, Rainbow Dash would be unable to win. Wild Star meanwhile took a look at Rainbow Dash. Even after seeing how fast he was moving, she didn't look worried in the slightest. Either that, or she was really good at hiding her fear. "Aren't you worried you might lose?" Wild Star asked Rainbow Dash. "On the contrary, I'm excited to be racing someone as fast as you. I can't wait to show you just how fast I can really go. I'll be honest with you: I wasn't going at my top speed." Rainbow Dash stated. "But how can that be possible? You didn't seem to be holding back one bit." Wild Star noted. "Let's just say that I was making sure not to break the speed barrier." Rainbow Dash said. "Ha! As if you could be as fast as I am once I get going." Wild Star said. "Then prepare to be amazed, Wild Star." Rainbow Dash said. "I would prefer it if you didn't disappoint." Wild Star said. "Alright everypony..." A pink mare named Pinkie Pie said. "Let's see who will win: Ponyville's resident Wonderbolt Rainbow Dash or the new face known as Wild Star." Pinkie Pie said. "If what you said is true about you holding back last time, then this time, swear you won't hold back for anything." Wild Star said. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Rainbow Dash said, doing a Pinkie Pie promise. "...The heck was that about?" Wild Star asked. "I'll tell you after the race. Deal?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Deal!" Wild Star said. "GET READY RACERS! ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO!" Pinke Pie said. Suddenly the two racers were off. To say that the two were dead even to begin with was an understatement, soon though Wild Star pulled ahead, just breaking the speed barrier. He smirked. "So much for not holding back last time." he thought. Suddenly however, a loud "BOOM!" occurred as a Sonic Rainboom went off curtesy of Rainbow Dash who just did the same thing Wild Star did and now the two were dead even again. "What? Impossible! I thought only I could break the sound barrier!" Wild Star thought to himself as the two continued to race; neither one able to pull ahead of the other at all for the remainder of the race. "AND FINISH!" Pinke Pie shouted. The two fliers came to a sudden stop. "So...who won?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No matter who won, this race was super awesome! You were super fast!" She said. "You...you were..." Wild Star could not find the words. If he was right, then they had just tied. A tie. As in no winner and no loser. Wild Star was hoping he was wrong though. But in his heart, he had a feeling he was right. "After reviewing the footage..." Twilight Sparkle said speaking into a microphone. "...It seems we have a tie." She said. "A TIE?!" Everyone in the stands suddenly shouted at once. Pinke Pie even did a spit take with Water. "A TIE?!" Pinke Pie re-asked. "Wow...a tie. Still an awesome race though." Rainbow Dash said. "We...tied..." Wild Star said, looking distant suddenly. "That's right everypony, we have a tie!" Twilight Sparkle declared. Scootaloo ran over to Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash, you tied!" Scatooloo said. "So I did. You can't win every time kid. Not even me." Rainbow Dash said. "But still, even though it was a tie, I'm glad we got to race Wild Star. We should hang out sometime." She added. "...I think...I'd like that." Wild Star said before picking up his Limiter Bracelets and putting them back on. "Rainbow Dash wasn't it?" Wild Star asked Rainbow Dash. "Yeah?" Rainbow Dash was curious. "...Your official the first pony ever to tie with me. Before this, I haven't lost a single race; not a single one. Until today, every race I've been in, I've won by a landslide. But today, for the first time in my life, I actually tied with someone. Never before have I met someone whose as fast as you are Rainbow Dash. You keep being you. And I'll keep being me. And...while I'm done with the Wild Fliers Grand Prix, I don't think I'm done with racing. Not while your around." Wild Star explained before getting back into the air. "Until next time, Rainbow Dash." He said and flew off. "...Until next time, Wild Star." Rainbow Dash said, waving him off. Then she remembered. "...HEY WAIT, I DIDN'T TELL YOU ABOUT THE PINKIE PIE PROMISE!" She said, and put down Scootaloo. "Sorry squirt, got to take care of one final loose end." Rainbow Dash said and speeded after Wild Star to tell him about the Pinkie Pie promise. Meanwhile, Scootaloo smiled. One one hoof, her idol didn't lose the race. But on the other hoof, her idol now has actual competition now. She can't wait to meet Wild Star again, and maybe with him around, Scootaloo can actually fly. Only time will tell. Unknown to everyone, a pink Pegasus filly with a cyan mane was viewing the race in secret. "Wild Star...your awesome..." She stated, stars in her eyes. END? A green Pegasus with a brown mane and tail who had a blue star with red wings as their cutie mark was talking with Rainbow Dash. "Still, at least now you have this school. Kind of wish I didn't forget my stuff back where I moved here to Ponyville from." The Pegasus said. "You still settling in then? I can help if you'd like." Rainbow Dash offered. "After all, we're friends right?" She asked. "Yeah. After the race we had a couple days back...we are most certainly friends." The Pegasus said. His name was Wild Star. Just before Princess Twilight Sparkle had started her school of friendship up, Wild Star came to ponyville after having no hope of ever running into someone who could keep up with him at top speed. While on the train ride over to Ponyville, Wild Star had a chance conversation with the princess of friendship herself, and thus the colt learned about Rainbow Dash. What followed was something that would be reflected in the history books for the rest of equestrian history: Wild Star had challenged Rainbow Dash to a race, and the two proceeded to tie in that race. Wild Star could hardly believe that after seven years of landside victories at the Wild Fliers Grand Prix, he had finally found someone who could keep up with his max speed. Admittedly, the fact that Rainbow Dash took the fact they tied with so much stride made Wild Star realize that though he may not have won the race, the fact of the matter was he was never meant to win in the first place. Not against someone like Rainbow Dash. The rest of the Main 6 was more surprised that Rainbow Dash took the draw so well. Sure, Rainbow Dash admits that winning would've been nice, she's fine with the fact that the two of them ended up in a draw. As such, she and Wild Star tended to hang out quite a bit whenever school was out for the day. But little did anyone realize that today, there would be another new face to grace Ponyville... ================================================================================== Ponyville - Train Station A green unicorn with a mage robe and hat stepped out of the train that arrived in Ponyville. His name was Prism Gem, and his robe hid his cutie mark: A combination of three diamonds, one red, one purple, and one blue. The unicorn soon started making his way into Ponyville, carrying his bags along the way. He was here to check out the new "School of Friendship" he heard about through the grapevine but first a hotel would be nice. As he left the train station, a Pink Pegasus filly with a cyan mane and tail who had a rook as her cutie mark was watching the mage unicorn. "Wonder what he's up to? I hope he's not evil, I would like to get to know him and be his first friend here in Ponyville. After all, friends are the best thing ever." She said, flying away. ================================================================================== Ponyville - Twilight's Castle "Thanks for letting me stay here in your castle while I find a place for myself, Princess." Wild Star said to Twilight Sparkle. "Please, you don't have to call me princess; you can just call me Twilight. All my friends do." Twilight Sparkle stated. Suddenly Starlight Glimmer came in. "TWILIGHT!" Starlight Glimmer said, rushing in with Trixie and having a piece of paper contained in her magic. "We have a problem!" She said. "Let me guess, more trouble from that Chancellor Neighsay?" Twilight asked her student. "Worse! When Starlight and I were going through the student applications, we suddenly realized we missed one!" Trixie said. "Uh oh..." Twilight said. "Who did we miss?" She asked. "That's the thing...we're not sure. All we have is a name: Cozy Glow!" Starlight said. "You three seem like you could use some help." Wild Star said. "Whose this guy?" Trixie said. "Oh right. You two were away when that happened. Starlight, Trixie...meet Wild Star." Twilight said. "Hello ladies." Wild Star said. "He's nice." Trixie said. "...Well I'm not detecting any malice from him." Staright said. The others looked at her with confused faces. "Oh...right. Should mention...I sort of...managed to learn a spell that can detect evil. I mean, it's got to come in handy at some point...right?" Starlight said, nervously. "...Be that as it may. Let's hope the day never comes where you'll have to use that spell." Twilight said. "Agreed. This town has seen it's fair share of villains." Trixie said. And then everyone glared at her. "What? It's true. Between Nightmare Moon followed by Discord followed by me followed by Tirek and end off with the Storm King as the latest example...well...you get the point." Trixie said. "I'm surprised you didn't mention me..." Starlight said. "...Oh right. Kind of forgot that you were amongst that crowd too. But I know you don't like to be reminded of it." Trixie said. "...Maybe this was not the best place to lay down my roots..." Wild Star said. "Please, we have Princess Twilight and her friends for protection. The Storm King's been the only real threat we've had." Trixie said. "Admittedly...she's right. All I did was try to mess with time. All Tirek did was steal everypony's magic. Oh...and destroyed Twilight's old house." Starlight said, before pointing up at the chandelier above them. "I'm still shocked that your friends were able to get that up there." Starlight said. "Best Castle Warming Present ever." Twilight said. "I have so much to learn." Wild Star said. Suddenly the Pink Pegasus from before came into the castle. "I'm here I'm here..." She said. "And you are?" Twilight Asked. "My name's Cozy Glow...and I was hoping you came to a decision about my application." The Pegasus said with a smile. Enter Prism Gem - Chapter 2Chapter 2 - Enter Cozy Glow "Evil comes in many shapes and forms, but the most important thing to know is that evil does not care for gender or for species; the only thing that matters is for someone to actually be evil in the first place." Starlight asked Cozy Glow. "Yep. That's me." Cozy Glow stated. "Oh...well you really didn't give us much to work with. All you gave us was your name. You never filled the rest out..." Starlight said, showing Cozy Glow her application. "Oh...I didn't know I was supposed to fill out the whole thing...I'm sorry...as soon as I heard about this school of friendship, I thought to myself 'this sounds like the perfect place to make so many new friends' and thus sent in an application as soon as I could..." Cozy Glow explained. "Wait...you want to join the school of friendship to make friends?" Twilight asked. Cozy Glow nodded. "Ever since I was a little filly, I've always wanted friends, but no one really got me in my very early years. That's when I took up playing chess one day after I lost my parents to an accident." Cozy Glow said. "Oh you poor thing..." Twilight Said, before bringing Cozy Glow into a wing hug. "A-anyways one day I managed to beat this really mean kid in a chess match standing up for this kid he was always bullying, and that's when I got my cutie mark." Cozy Glow said, motioning to her cutie mark that was a rook from chess. "That's when I started treating my chess pieces like I would the friends I hope to one day make: With the proper respect and kindness a true friend would give you." Cozy Glow finished explaining. "Wow...that's actually quite the story you got there." Trixie said. "I mean, standing up to a bully with a chess match for a total stranger? I think she's perfect for the school." Trixie said. "I couldn't agree with Trixie more." Starlight said. "For once, I agree too. But she has no legal guardian if she has no parents. What orphanage do you come from?" Twilight said. "Oh...I kind of...never got admitted to one..." Cozy Glow said. "WHAT?!" Everyone but Cozy Glow suddenly exclaimed. "It's true. No one but the four of you even know that I'm an orphan. Not even the orphanage realizes that I'm an orphan..." Cozy Glow said. "Aw...you poor, poor thing..." Twilight said, pulling Cozy Glow into another Wing hug. "There there...if you like, I can be your momma..." She said. "You? But your a princess!" Wild Star spoke up. "It's completely up to her anyways..." Trixie said. "Well...if I'm going to be in the school of friendship...might as well get used to calling her highness 'momma'..." Cozy Glow said, adding a giggle at the end. Wild Star face hoofed. "Someponies are just this lucky it seems..." Wild Star said. "So...about my application momma..." Cozy Glow said. "You still have to fill it all out. I won't bend the rules just because your my daughter now, Cozy Glow." Twilight said. Cozy Glow nodded in understanding. "Okay momma. I'll fill out the form right away." Cozy Glow said and went to do just that. "...She's quite the eager beaver when it comes to wanting friends huh?" Wild Star said. "Well at least she's not evil." Starlight said. Everyone looked at her again. "...What? Did you think I wouldn't have the spell active just in case?" Starlight asked. "Like I said, I hope the day never comes when that spell will be useful." Twilight said. Trixie and Wild Star nodded in agreement. "That said, it could come in handy if a threat DOES show up." Twilight added. ================================================================================== Ponyville - Prism's House "And there's the last bag. Thank you miss...Rarity was it?" Prism Gem said to Rarity. "Just Rarity will do, darling. Now, I best get home before Sweetie Belle cooks something." Rarity said. "Why, is something wrong with her cooking?" Prism Gem asked. "You could say that..." Rarity said and left. As she left, she smiled. Such a nice stallion. She'll have to ask later if he's taken. Enter Prism Gem - Chapter 3Something has gone wrong. Twilight Yelled. "This Pegasus child is my adopted daughter!" She yelled, causing everyone to gasp in surprise. AND NOW, THE COTINUATION! ================================================================================== "...And that's why I adopted her, so she can have a mother to look after her. And I am a princess, so doing so is within my power." Twilight said. "What...but this..." Prism Gem was confused. "Told you she was innocent. All Cozy Glow seems to want is making friends, and the Princess of Friendship is making that possible. Now, how about you just admit that you were wrong!" Wild Star said. "But...But...my information..." Prism Gem stuttered. "What information?" Twilight asked. Prism Gem gave Twilight his file on Cozy Glow. "...Her? A threat to equestria? Please!" She exclaimed. "Yeah. Why would I ever want endanger equestria? I only want one thing in life: Friends. Lots and lots of friends." Cozy Glow said. "I don't...what...but..." Prism Gem said. "So what if I ran away from an orphanage? I wasn't making any friends there. I want to make friends. That's all I want. Nothing would make me happier then becoming friends with as many different creatures as I possibly can." Cozy Glow said. Prism Gem was left just blabbering at this point. Wild Star had to drag him away. "...He'll come around." Twilight said. "Hopefully." Cozy Glow said. "He was interrupting me and my newest friend." She added. "Speaking of..." Diamond Tiara said, noticing the CMCs were there. "I think now's a good time as any to introduce you to three special fillies." Diamond Tiara said. ================================================================================== A few days later... School of Friendship - Library "Checkmate!" Cozy Glow said, having won a game against Ocellous. "Wow, your really good at this chess thing, Cozy." Ocellous said. "Tell me something I don't know." Cozy Glow said. "Well did you HAVE to fail your friendship test on purpose to try and get the CMC admitted here?" Gallous asked. "I thought for sure that it would've worked. At least everything worked out when I told Starlight Glimmer the truth who told it to mom." Cozy Glow said. "Should've probably told mom though...she's a little mad that I did things the way I did. I was just trying to be a good friend." Cozy Glow said before she noticed her mom coming in. "Oh hey mom!" She said. Thankfully, since the whole ordeal with Prism Gem, Cozy Glow no longer has to hide the fact that she's Twilight's adopted daughter. Speaking off, since then, Flash Sentry paid a visit, and he and Twilight went on a date. The two are taking things slow for now. Cozy doesn't mind. And Twilight likes the fact that Cozy Glow is looking forward to becoming a big sister when the time is right. Sure, Twilight doesn't like the fact that Cozy Glow is thinking of that so soon, but she can't blame her adopted daughter when she's finally realizes her feelings towards Flash Sentry. "Cozy Glow, I told you yesterday that going about getting the CMC admitted into the school of friendship the way you did was a bad thing. I just hope you've learnt your lesson." Twilight said. "Well...speaking of the CMC...I was kind of wondering...what about Diamond Tiara?" Cozy Glow asked. "Yes...I was actually starting to wonder if she could be a good tutor too. Especially with a story like hers." Twilight said. She smiled. "See, you have learnt." She said. "I should've mentioned something about the CMC without doing what I did, I know that now. That's why I'm bringing this up for Diamond Tiara. I don't think the CMC is going to be the same without her." Cozy Glow said. This surprised Twilight. "Wow, making sure friends stick together? So proud..." Twilight said, with a huge smile on her face. "What can I say?" Cozy Glow asked before bopping her momma's nose. "I have the best teacher of all: My adopted mother Twilight Sparkle the Princess of Friendship to help make sure I remember the most important lesson of all." Cozy Glow said. "Oh? And what lesson is that?" Twilight Sparkle asked. "That friendship is magic!" Cozy Glow said. Mother and adopted daughter embraced afterwards. ================================================================================== MEANWHILE...ELSEWHERE... "Only a matter of time..." Chancellor Nieghsay said. "Only a matter of time..." He added. Chancellor Neighsay said, leaving his secret office. "It's time I made that School of Friendship property of the E.E.A." Chancellor Neighsay stated. "...Permanently..." Starlight asked Twilight with Cozy Glow beside her. "I'm afraid it's all the way in the Changeling Kingdom. But, do not fret: With you and Cozy Glow left in charge, things should run smoothly. I better get running now." Twilight stated and teleported away. "Don't worry Starlight, all you got to do is keep things as Twilight Sparkle would want..." Cozy Glow was stating before suddenly Chancellor Neighsay barged in. "WHAT?!" She exclaimed only for Starlight to get put into a room with the five non-pony friends she made. "You are going to stay in there while I start making changes around here." Chancellor Neighsay said. "And no one is going to stop me this time." He added. "...My friends..." Cozy Glow said. She noticed Sandbar got away. She thought to herself "...Sandbar? Where's he running off to?" She wondered and flew off. Chancellor Neighsay dismissed her. "Bah...no matter now then..." Chancellor Neighsay soon was looking at the profile of Cozy Glow. "...That's strange..." He said, when he noticed there was not a lot of information regarding her. "...All that's in here is her application form. And while I don't approve of Twilight's decision to adopt that pegasus filly...everything seems to be in working order so...I can't get rid of her. I suppose for the time being, she can roam free." He said. He noticed one extra profile in addition to the the five non-ponies he just locked up. One with no profile picture, but only the name "The Chessmaster". "...Now I wonder who this could be." He said and looked through it. He found nothing if not just another application, which was very neatly and fully written out. "...How odd...I guess I'll have to ask around about this so called 'Chessmaster' and ask them about this." He noted. Cutie Mark Crusader's Clubhouse - Outside "...And that's why I need your help, Cutie Mark Crusdaders." Sandbar said after waking up the CMC. "So this was your plan? Not bad." Cozy Glow said. "In fact, this works." She noted. "Cozy Glow, by the way, I've been meaning to ask you something." Sandbar said. "Go ahead." Cozy Glow said. "Do you know anything about someone calling themselves 'The Chessmaster'? Because they were supposed to start school the same day as me and my friends but Twilight's been unable to find them." Sandbar said. Suddenly Cozy Glow's eyes changed from their normal ruby red to a sapphire blue. "...Ask and you shall receive, my dear friend Sandbar." A new voice coming from Cozy Glow said. "...What? What's going on? Are you okay?" Sandbar asked Cozy Glow. "Hi Sandbar...I'm Cozy Glow's other half. I'm The Chessmaster. And your going to need my help plus the CMCs if we plan on saving your friends. Don't worry, my memories with Cozy Glow are linked." This new Cozy Glow said in such a caring and loving voice. "...Multi-personality disorder? Cozy Glow, why didn't you say anything?" Sanbar said. Cozy Glow's eyes turned back to normal. "...Ack...sorry...I just...didn't want to be isolated so...I had to hide my other personality..." Cozy Glow said. "I always end up alone because of Chessmaster..." She added. "...Well...you've got some explaining to do then." Apple Bloom suddenly said alongside the rest of the CMC which included Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "...Well...like I've been explaining I have two personalities: Myself, Cozy Glow and then there's my other personality: The Chessmaster. She's not that much different then me, just more caring and loving." Cozy Glow stated. "...That's it?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Honestly, I'm not sure why you thought you had to hide that from your friends. True friends don't care about things like that." She added. "Oh...I guess I'm still learning..." Cozy Glow Said. "But hey, if that other personality of yours can help, can you switch back now?" Scootaloo asked. "It doesn't work like that. You'd have to say HER name to get her to talk about it." Cozy Glow stated. "...Then can you please let us talk to The Chessmaster?" Diamond Tiara asked. "DIAMOND TIARA THAT'S..." Silver Spoon was about to get on her friend's case when she noticed Cozy Glow's eyes changed color. "...Right...so here's my plan." The Chessmaster said. THE SCHOOL OF FRIENDSHIP - MAIN HALL As chancellor Nieghsay began to gather students, suddenly Cozy Glow, Sandbar, and the CMC arrived. "WHATEVER HE'S DOING, DON'T LISTEN TO HIM!" Diamond Tiara called out. "He's trying to convert this school into property of the E.E.A., and has captured five of your classmates." She announced. "It's true, he's taken my friends hostage!" Sandbar said. This caused a riot to form on Chancellor Nieghsay. "Why you pegasus filly...you are nothing but a child and an orphan, Cozy Glow." Chancellor Neighsay said. "Maybe, but you don't know everything about me." Cozy Glow said. "By the way, do you know the name of the student who was supposed to start the same time as Sandbar and his friends?" She asked, with a grin. "Why, that'd be The Chessmaster but I don't see..." Chancellor said but got interrupted when he saw Cozy Glow's eyes change color. "...Hello Chancellor Neighsay...I'm The Chessmaster." The Chessmaster Said before flying to Chancellor Neighsay and removing his medallion. "You...you and Cozy Glow are..." Chancellor neighsay said, watching Cozy's eyes change. "Yep. Two separate personalities, but a shared mindset." Cozy Glow said. "And trust me, you've never met anyone like my other self." She added. "With a name like 'The Chessmaster', that's a given." Silver Spoon said, which switched Cozy Glow back. "...Wanna know why the Rook is essential for chess, Chancellor Neighsay?" Chessmaster asked. "...Your going to tell me anyways aren't you?" Chancellor Neighsay asked. "You bet. It's a vital piece for winning chess. And the phrase one uses when they win the game..." Chessmaster said before opening the door containing her trapped friends. "...is the same one I'm using on you: CHECKMATE!" Chessmaster said before pressing the medallion which got rid of the magical chains surrounding the remaining Student 7. "Let's get going everycreature!" Sweetie Belle said. To say Chancellor Neighsay was overwhelmed was an understatement; he was in a stalemate for up until the Princess of Friendship with her friends arrived with backup from the two royal sisters. After defeating Chancellor Neighsay, the stallion realized the faults he had in his short sighted views. And things returned to normal. But the next day, over the weekend...something else had to be addressed... ================================================================================== Princess Twilight's Castle - Map Room "...So...you have two personalities in you?" Twilight asked Cozy Glow. "Yep. Sorry for not mentioning it sooner mommy I was just...scared to reveal my secret to all my new friends." Cozy Glow stated but flew over to the student 7 and the CMC. "But now, I don't really have to, anymore. Because they are my true friends, and true friends don't fret over little things like that." Cozy Glow Stated. "...Just wish I could control it." She noted. "Well I for one don't care if your Cozy Glow or The Chessmaster." Scataloo said. "Your still the same friend we've come to know." She added just as Cozy Glow switched again. "...You all do need to be careful. Switching suddenly like this could get me and Cozy Glow jumbled up." Chessmaster said. "Well either way, it was your brilliant strategy that allowed us to stop Chancellor Neighsay." Diamond Tiara said. "While Cozy Glow loves chess, I like detailed plans. Our cutie mark is both a symbol for her skill in chess and my skill in making plans." Chessmaster said. "And now that I've met all of you, I plan on making those plans to help all my friends out." She said. "...Okay, can you go back to Cozy Glow now? We'll call on you if we need your help again." Silver Spoon said, making Cozy Glow switch. "...Thank you." she said. "...Well she was running out of topics anyways." Cozy Glow said. "Still, Silver Spoon shouldn't have been so rude about it." Starlight said. "It's fine. We don't mind." Cozy Glow said. "If anything, I get tired of Chessmaster from time to time too." She added. At that, everyone shared a laugh. "But let's not forget the most important friendship lesson of all..." Enter Wild Star - Chapter 1 CHAPTER 1 - ORIGINS "I feel like I live in a world made of Cardboard" - Quote made by Superman in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. ================================================================================== Ponyville Train - Present Day A train headed for Ponyville had on it many passengers, but amongst all of them, a particular Green pegasus stallion was amongst them all. He wore nothing aside from a pair of green glasses designed for flight and a pair of gray bracelets on his front legs. "Say stranger." A lavander Alicorn mare suddenly approuched the strange pegasus. "This your first time heading into Ponyville?" She asked the pegasus. "Yes. Your a princess right? What you doing socializing with me?" The pegasus stallion said. "Well you since your new, and I like meeting new people, I figured I might as well get to know you. I'm Twilight Sparkle." The Alicorn Mare said. "May I ask for your name?" She asked. "Wild Star, 7 time champion of the Wild Wings Grand Prix." The Green Pegausus responded. "SEVEN time Champion? Geez, I'll have to introduce you to my friend Rainbow Dash. She would LOVE to race someone like you." Twilight Sparkle said. "She wouldn't stand a chance against me. No one does." Wild Star stated. "I've beaten every pegasus I've went up against. The challenge just isn't there anymore. Hence why I've started wearing my special Limitar Bracelets." He added, bringing up his bracelet covered hooves. "I wouldn't be so sure about that. Give her a shot, you might find yourself suprised." Twilight Sparkle said. "Especially because she's also a wonderbolt." She added. "Interesting. Never went up against a Wonderbolt before. Maybe there's still a bit of competition left for me after all. Might as well see what she has to offer in terms of speed, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Especially because winning the Junior Flier Championship in my youth is how I got my cutie mark." Wild Star said, motioning towards his cutie mark. Of all the cutie Marks Twilight has seen, this one was something else: A blue star adorned with red wings adorned the Stallion's flank. "The Junior Flier Championship? Geez, your a long way from home then." Twilight Sparkle said. "You have no idea. Allow me to set the stage for you. It was the day of the final race for the Junior Flier Championship; only me, three other pegasus, and two griffons were the last ones in the championship, and this was going to be the final race..." Wild Star Began. ================================================================================== Junior Flier Stadium - Past "Alright, let's make sure everyone remembers the rules: There are 200 Laps in this race; the first person to complete all 200 laps will win the championship.; once a winner has been declared, the race will end immediatly; and finally, if any one of you fliers interfers with another racer, you will be disqualified and punished accordingly after the race is through. And this goes double for you griffons!" The Pony in charge of the championship stated. "OF COURSE SIR!" Both Griffons said at the same time. "Now, if everyone is ready...Wait, where's Wild Star?" The pony asked. Suddenly a blur wizzed past the pony and took a position; a very young and cute markless Wild Star was suddenly there. "Sorry I'm late; I just needed to warm up first." Wild Star said. "Warm up? What, are you afraid you'll lose?" One of the pegasus asked. "Nope; just takes me a bit of a warm up to be able to fly at top speeds." Wild Star said. "What kind of pegesus needs a warm up to fly as fast as they can?" One of the other pegasus asked. "Leave him alone...we can show him up during the race bro." The third pegasus said. "Just so you know though, no matter which one of us wins, I'm just glad I got to race in this final race." He added. "Same here." One of the Griffon said. "Yeah you five just keep thinking that. Me? I'm planning on winning." Wild Star said. "You'll still have all five us on your tail there, warm up boy." The other griffon said. "The name's Wild Star; you'd do well to remember it." Wild Star said. "We will." The first pegasus said. "Yeah. When one of us beats you." The second pegasus said, causing the fivesome to laugh at Wild Star. "I wouldn't take this pegasus lightly if I was you five." The tournament pony said. "He's won all 25 of his required races by a landslide; not a single pony or griffon has been able to keep up with him." He added. "That's impossible!" The third Pegasus said. "Yeah, no one's THAT fast. Surely." The first Griffon said. "It's the truth." The Tournament Pony said. "I bet they just LET him win. Well, we aren't about to do that." The second griffon said, getting a nod from the other 4. "...Your overconfidence is going to be your downfall...just like everyone else..." The Tournament Pony said. Soon enough, the race was underway; but leading the pack was none other then Wild Star, who was outpacing the 5 randoms by quite the fair amount of distance. As the fivesome began to pick up speed, suddenly Wild Star flew by so fast, it was if the five other races suddenly experinced being caught in a tornado. Before any of them could realize it, a buzzer went off. "And that's the end of the race." The Tournament Pony said as Wild Star soon landed nearby them and the tournament Pony went up to them. "Congradulations to our winner, Wild Star." The Tournament Pony said, and gave the trophy to Wild Star. "HOLD UP! He cheated! He must have!" The first pegasus said. "Yeah, no way he was THAT fast." The Second pegasus said. "Again? Isn't this like the 26th time someone's tried to say that I won because I was cheating?" Wild Star asked the tournament Pony. "Yes. We've kept track. And we can safely say that Wild Star has not cheated what-so-ever." The Tournament Pony said. "But...but..." Was all the five races could get out now; they were in so much awe and disbelief at the speed of Wild Star. Suddenly, a light covered Wild Star's flank. "Whoa!" The third Pegasus spoke up. "Is that his cutie mark?" He asked. "Huh? What about my..." Wild Star took a look at his flank, and found his cutie mark there. "...It's my cutie mark! Allright! Winning the Junior Flier Championship and getting my cutie mark on the same day? TALK ABOUT SUPER ULTRA MEGA HYPE!" Wild Star suddenly shouted. The five soon realized that Wild Star really was just as fast as he appeared in that race. ================================================================================== Ponyville Train - Present Day "...'Super Ultra Mega Hype' my ass. After I was old enough to join the Wild Wings Grand Prix, I thought to myself 'hey, this might actually give me a challenge after winning the Junoir Flier Championship so easily'. Boy was I wrong. Do I need to bring up the 7 time champion thing again? For seven straight years now, I've won the Wild Wings Grand Prix, and every time I've won in a lanslide. It's gotten so bad, that I got a unicorn to make me these Limititar Bracelets so I wouldn't be so fast. I'm heading to Ponyville because I'm going to reflect on all my wins, and eventually announce my retirement. That's all that's left for me now, really. There's not a single challenge left for me. I warn you, Princess Twilgiht Sparkle...if your friend is found to be laking in skill...then there was no point in bringing her up." Wild Star said. "Don't underestimate Rainbow Dash or your overconfidence will be your downfall." Twilight Sparkle said. The train was about to arrive in Ponyville. "...I suppose it's just about time to put your money where your mouth is. Same with me I suppose." Twilight Sparkle stated. "Indeed..." Wild Star noted.

Enter Wild Star - Chapter 3CHAPTER 3 - RACING HISTORY! "History is written by the winners, but what happens when no one wins?" Hypothetical question, personal quote ================================================================================== Wild Star's Race Course Scootaloo gulped as Rainbow Dash got into the starting position alongside the mysterious new male Pegasus known as Wild Star. During his warm-up laps, he was going just as fast as Rainbow Dash could, if not faster. She worried that this time, Rainbow Dash would be unable to win. Wild Star meanwhile took a look at Rainbow Dash. Even after seeing how fast he was moving, she didn't look worried in the slightest. Either that, or she was really good at hiding her fear. "Aren't you worried you might lose?" Wild Star asked Rainbow Dash. "On the contrary, I'm excited to be racing someone as fast as you. I can't wait to show you just how fast I can really go. I'll be honest with you: I wasn't going at my top speed." Rainbow Dash stated. "But how can that be possible? You didn't seem to be holding back one bit." Wild Star noted. "Let's just say that I was making sure not to break the speed barrier." Rainbow Dash said. "Ha! As if you could be as fast as I am once I get going." Wild Star said. "Then prepare to be amazed, Wild Star." Rainbow Dash said. "I would prefer it if you didn't disappoint." Wild Star said. "Alright everypony..." A pink mare named Pinkie Pie said. "Let's see who will win: Ponyville's resident Wonderbolt Rainbow Dash or the new face known as Wild Star." Pinkie Pie said. "If what you said is true about you holding back last time, then this time, swear you won't hold back for anything." Wild Star said. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Rainbow Dash said, doing a Pinkie Pie promise. "...The heck was that about?" Wild Star asked. "I'll tell you after the race. Deal?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Deal!" Wild Star said. "GET READY RACERS! ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO!" Pinke Pie said. Suddenly the two racers were off. To say that the two were dead even to begin with was an understatement, soon though Wild Star pulled ahead, just breaking the speed barrier. He smirked. "So much for not holding back last time." he thought. Suddenly however, a loud "BOOM!" occurred as a Sonic Rainboom went off curtesy of Rainbow Dash who just did the same thing Wild Star did and now the two were dead even again. "What? Impossible! I thought only I could break the sound barrier!" Wild Star thought to himself as the two continued to race; neither one able to pull ahead of the other at all for the remainder of the race. "AND FINISH!" Pinke Pie shouted. The two fliers came to a sudden stop. "So...who won?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No matter who won, this race was super awesome! You were super fast!" She said. "You...you were..." Wild Star could not find the words. If he was right, then they had just tied. A tie. As in no winner and no loser. Wild Star was hoping he was wrong though. But in his heart, he had a feeling he was right. "After reviewing the footage..." Twilight Sparkle said speaking into a microphone. "...It seems we have a tie." She said. "A TIE?!" Everyone in the stands suddenly shouted at once. Pinke Pie even did a spit take with Water. "A TIE?!" Pinke Pie re-asked. "Wow...a tie. Still an awesome race though." Rainbow Dash said. "We...tied..." Wild Star said, looking distant suddenly. "That's right everypony, we have a tie!" Twilight Sparkle declared. Scootaloo ran over to Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash, you tied!" Scatooloo said. "So I did. You can't win every time kid. Not even me." Rainbow Dash said. "But still, even though it was a tie, I'm glad we got to race Wild Star. We should hang out sometime." She added. "...I think...I'd like that." Wild Star said before picking up his Limiter Bracelets and putting them back on. "Rainbow Dash wasn't it?" Wild Star asked Rainbow Dash. "Yeah?" Rainbow Dash was curious. "...Your official the first pony ever to tie with me. Before this, I haven't lost a single race; not a single one. Until today, every race I've been in, I've won by a landslide. But today, for the first time in my life, I actually tied with someone. Never before have I met someone whose as fast as you are Rainbow Dash. You keep being you. And I'll keep being me. And...while I'm done with the Wild Fliers Grand Prix, I don't think I'm done with racing. Not while your around." Wild Star explained before getting back into the air. "Until next time, Rainbow Dash." He said and flew off. "...Until next time, Wild Star." Rainbow Dash said, waving him off. Then she remembered. "...HEY WAIT, I DIDN'T TELL YOU ABOUT THE PINKIE PIE PROMISE!" She said, and put down Scootaloo. "Sorry squirt, got to take care of one final loose end." Rainbow Dash said and speeded after Wild Star to tell him about the Pinkie Pie promise. Meanwhile, Scootaloo smiled. One one hoof, her idol didn't lose the race. But on the other hoof, her idol now has actual competition now. She can't wait to meet Wild Star again, and maybe with him around, Scootaloo can actually fly. Only time will tell. Unknown to everyone, a pink Pegasus filly with a cyan mane was viewing the race in secret. "Wild Star...your awesome..." She stated, stars in her eyes. END?

A green Pegasus with a brown mane and tail who had a blue star with red wings as their cutie mark was talking with Rainbow Dash. "Still, at least now you have this school. Kind of wish I didn't forget my stuff back where I moved here to Ponyville from." The Pegasus said. "You still settling in then? I can help if you'd like." Rainbow Dash offered. "After all, we're friends right?" She asked. "Yeah. After the race we had a couple days back...we are most certainly friends." The Pegasus said. His name was Wild Star. Just before Princess Twilight Sparkle had started her school of friendship up, Wild Star came to ponyville after having no hope of ever running into someone who could keep up with him at top speed. While on the train ride over to Ponyville, Wild Star had a chance conversation with the princess of friendship herself, and thus the colt learned about Rainbow Dash. What followed was something that would be reflected in the history books for the rest of equestrian history: Wild Star had challenged Rainbow Dash to a race, and the two proceeded to tie in that race. Wild Star could hardly believe that after seven years of landside victories at the Wild Fliers Grand Prix, he had finally found someone who could keep up with his max speed. Admittedly, the fact that Rainbow Dash took the fact they tied with so much stride made Wild Star realize that though he may not have won the race, the fact of the matter was he was never meant to win in the first place. Not against someone like Rainbow Dash. The rest of the Main 6 was more surprised that Rainbow Dash took the draw so well. Sure, Rainbow Dash admits that winning would've been nice, she's fine with the fact that the two of them ended up in a draw. As such, she and Wild Star tended to hang out quite a bit whenever school was out for the day. But little did anyone realize that today, there would be another new face to grace Ponyville... ================================================================================== Ponyville - Train Station A green unicorn with a mage robe and hat stepped out of the train that arrived in Ponyville. His name was Prism Gem, and his robe hid his cutie mark: A combination of three diamonds, one red, one purple, and one blue. The unicorn soon started making his way into Ponyville, carrying his bags along the way. He was here to check out the new "School of Friendship" he heard about through the grapevine but first a hotel would be nice. As he left the train station, a Pink Pegasus filly with a cyan mane and tail who had a rook as her cutie mark was watching the mage unicorn. "Wonder what he's up to? I hope he's not evil, I would like to get to know him and be his first friend here in Ponyville. After all, friends are the best thing ever." She said, flying away. ================================================================================== Ponyville - Twilight's Castle "Thanks for letting me stay here in your castle while I find a place for myself, Princess." Wild Star said to Twilight Sparkle. "Please, you don't have to call me princess; you can just call me Twilight. All my friends do." Twilight Sparkle stated. Suddenly Starlight Glimmer came in. "TWILIGHT!" Starlight Glimmer said, rushing in with Trixie and having a piece of paper contained in her magic. "We have a problem!" She said. "Let me guess, more trouble from that Chancellor Neighsay?" Twilight asked her student. "Worse! When Starlight and I were going through the student applications, we suddenly realized we missed one!" Trixie said. "Uh oh..." Twilight said. "Who did we miss?" She asked. "That's the thing...we're not sure. All we have is a name: Cozy Glow!" Starlight said. "You three seem like you could use some help." Wild Star said. "Whose this guy?" Trixie said. "Oh right. You two were away when that happened. Starlight, Trixie...meet Wild Star." Twilight said. "Hello ladies." Wild Star said. "He's nice." Trixie said. "...Well I'm not detecting any malice from him." Staright said. The others looked at her with confused faces. "Oh...right. Should mention...I sort of...managed to learn a spell that can detect evil. I mean, it's got to come in handy at some point...right?" Starlight said, nervously. "...Be that as it may. Let's hope the day never comes where you'll have to use that spell." Twilight said. "Agreed. This town has seen it's fair share of villains." Trixie said. And then everyone glared at her. "What? It's true. Between Nightmare Moon followed by Discord followed by me followed by Tirek and end off with the Storm King as the latest example...well...you get the point." Trixie said. "I'm surprised you didn't mention me..." Starlight said. "...Oh right. Kind of forgot that you were amongst that crowd too. But I know you don't like to be reminded of it." Trixie said. "...Maybe this was not the best place to lay down my roots..." Wild Star said. "Please, we have Princess Twilight and her friends for protection. The Storm King's been the only real threat we've had." Trixie said. "Admittedly...she's right. All I did was try to mess with time. All Tirek did was steal everypony's magic. Oh...and destroyed Twilight's old house." Starlight said, before pointing up at the chandelier above them. "I'm still shocked that your friends were able to get that up there." Starlight said. "Best Castle Warming Present ever." Twilight said. "I have so much to learn." Wild Star said. Suddenly the Pink Pegasus from before came into the castle. "I'm here I'm here..." She said. "Oh...I didn't know I was supposed to fill out the whole thing...I'm sorry...as soon as I heard about this school of friendship, I thought to myself 'this sounds like the perfect place to make so many new friends' and thus sent in an application as soon as I could..." Cozy Glow explained. "Wait...you want to join the school of friendship to make friends?" Twilight asked. Cozy Glow nodded. "Ever since I was a little filly, I've always wanted friends, but no one really got me in my very early years. That's when I took up playing chess one day after I lost my parents to an accident." Cozy Glow said. "Oh you poor thing..." Twilight Said, before bringing Cozy Glow into a wing hug. "A-anyways one day I managed to beat this really mean kid in a chess match standing up for this kid he was always bullying, and that's when I got my cutie mark." Cozy Glow said, motioning to her cutie mark that was a rook from chess. "That's when I started treating my chess pieces like I would the friends I hope to one day make: With the proper respect and kindness a true friend would give you." Cozy Glow finished explaining. "Wow...that's actually quite the story you got there." Trixie said. "I mean, standing up to a bully with a chess match for a total stranger? I think she's perfect for the school." Trixie said. "I couldn't agree with Trixie more." Starlight said. "For once, I agree too. But she has no legal guardian if she has no parents. What orphanage do you come from?" Twilight said. "Oh...I kind of...never got admitted to one..." Cozy Glow said. "WHAT?!" Everyone but Cozy Glow suddenly exclaimed. "It's true. No one but the four of you even know that I'm an orphan. Not even the orphanage realizes that I'm an orphan..." Cozy Glow said. "Aw...you poor, poor thing..." Twilight said, pulling Cozy Glow into another Wing hug. "There there...if you like, I can be your momma..." She said. "You? But your a princess!" Wild Star spoke up. "It's completely up to her anyways..." Trixie said. "Well...if I'm going to be in the school of friendship...might as well get used to calling her highness 'momma'..." Cozy Glow said, adding a giggle at the end. Wild Star face hoofed. "Someponies are just this lucky it seems..." Wild Star said. "So...about my application momma..." Cozy Glow said. "You still have to fill it all out. I won't bend the rules just because your my daughter now, Cozy Glow." Twilight said. Cozy Glow nodded in understanding. "Okay momma. I'll fill out the form right away." Cozy Glow said and went to do just that. "...She's quite the eager beaver when it comes to wanting friends huh?" Wild Star said. "Well at least she's not evil." Starlight said. Everyone looked at her again. "...What? Did you think I wouldn't have the spell active just in case?" Starlight asked. "Like I said, I hope the day never comes when that spell will be useful." Twilight said. Trixie and Wild Star nodded in agreement. "That said, it could come in handy if a threat DOES show up." And I am a princess, so doing so is within my power." Twilight said. "What...but this..." Prism Gem was confused. "Told you she was innocent. All Cozy Glow seems to want is making friends, and the Princess of Friendship is making that possible. Now, how about you just admit that you were wrong!" Wild Star said. "But...But...my information..." Prism Gem stuttered. "What information?" Twilight asked. Prism Gem gave Twilight his file on Cozy Glow. "...Her? A threat to equestria? Please!" She exclaimed. "Yeah. Why would I ever want endanger equestria? I only want one thing in life: Friends. Lots and lots of friends." Cozy Glow said. "I don't...what...but..." Prism Gem said. "So what if I ran away from an orphanage? I wasn't making any friends there. I want to make friends. That's all I want. Nothing would make me happier then becoming friends with as many different creatures as I possibly can." Cozy Glow said. Prism Gem was left just blabbering at this point. Cozy Glow said, having won a game against Ocellous. "Wow, your really good at this chess thing, Cozy." Ocellous said. "Tell me something I don't know." Cozy Glow said. "Well did you HAVE to fail your friendship test on purpose to try and get the CMC admitted here?" Gallous asked. "I thought for sure that it would've worked. At least everything worked out when I told Starlight Glimmer the truth who told it to mom." Cozy Glow said. "Should've probably told mom though...she's a little mad that I did things the way I did. I was just trying to be a good friend." Cozy Glow said before she noticed her mom coming in. "Oh hey mom!" She said. Thankfully, since the whole ordeal with Prism Gem, Cozy Glow no longer has to hide the fact that she's Twilight's adopted daughter. Speaking off, since then, Flash Sentry paid a visit, and he and Twilight went on a date. The two are taking things slow for now. Cozy doesn't mind. And Twilight likes the fact that Cozy Glow is looking forward to becoming a big sister when the time is right. Sure, Twilight doesn't like the fact that Cozy Glow is thinking of that so soon, but she can't blame her adopted daughter when she's finally realizes her feelings towards Flash Sentry. "Cozy Glow, I told you yesterday that going about getting the CMC admitted into the school of friendship the way you did was a bad thing. I just hope you've learnt your lesson." Twilight said. "Well...speaking of the CMC...I was kind of wondering...what about Diamond Tiara?" Cozy Glow asked. "Yes...I was actually starting to wonder if she could be a good tutor too. Especially with a story like hers." Twilight said. She smiled. "See, you have learnt." She said. "I should've mentioned something about the CMC without doing what I did, I know that now. That's why I'm bringing this up for Diamond Tiara. I don't think the CMC is going to be the same without her." Cozy Glow said. This surprised Twilight. "Wow, making sure friends stick together? So proud..." Twilight said, with a huge smile on her face. "What can I say?" Cozy Glow asked before bopping her momma's nose. "I have the best teacher of all: My adopted mother Twilight Sparkle the Princess of Friendship to help make sure I remember the most important lesson of all." Cozy Glow said. "Oh? And what lesson is that?" Twilight Sparkle asked. "That friendship is magic!" Cozy Glow said. This is all based on a "What If" scenario where Cozy Glow actually becomes a hero instead of a villain. Also, she has a split personality now. Cozy Glow was stating before suddenly Chancellor Neighsay barged in. "WHAT?!" She exclaimed only for Starlight to get put into a room with the five non-pony friends she made. "You are going to stay in there while I start making changes around here." Chancellor Neighsay said. "And no one is going to stop me this time." He added. "...My friends..." Cozy Glow said. She noticed Sandbar got away. She thought to herself "...Sandbar? Where's he running off to?" She wondered and flew off. Chancellor Neighsay dismissed her. "Bah...no matter now then..." Chancellor Neighsay soon was looking at the profile of Cozy Glow. "...That's strange..." He said, when he noticed there was not a lot of information regarding her. "...All that's in here is her application form. And while I don't approve of Twilight's decision to adopt that pegasus filly...everything seems to be in working order so...I can't get rid of her. I suppose for the time being, she can roam free." He said. He noticed one extra profile in addition to the the five non-ponies he just locked up. One with no profile picture, but only the name "The Chessmaster". "...Now I wonder who this could be." He said and looked through it. He found nothing if not just another application, which was very neatly and fully written out. "...How odd...I guess I'll have to ask around about this so called 'Chessmaster' and ask them about this." He noted. Cutie Mark Crusader's Clubhouse - Outside "...And that's why I need your help, Cutie Mark Crusdaders." Sandbar said after waking up the CMC. "So this was your plan? Not bad." Cozy Glow said. "Do you know anything about someone calling themselves 'The Chessmaster'? Because they were supposed to start school the same day as me and my friends but Twilight's been unable to find them." Sandbar said. Suddenly Cozy Glow's eyes changed from their normal ruby red to a sapphire blue. "...Ask and you shall receive, my dear friend Sandbar." A new voice coming from Cozy Glow said. "...What? What's going on? Are you okay?" Sandbar asked Cozy Glow. "Hi Sandbar...I'm Cozy Glow's other half. I'm The Chessmaster. And your going to need my help plus the CMCs if we plan on saving your friends. Don't worry, my memories with Cozy Glow are linked." This new Cozy Glow said in such a caring and loving voice. "...Multi-personality disorder? Cozy Glow, why didn't you say anything?" Sanbar said. Cozy Glow's eyes turned back to normal. "...Ack...sorry...I just...didn't want to be isolated so...I had to hide my other personality..." Cozy Glow said. "I always end up alone because of Chessmaster..." She added. "...Well...you've got some explaining to do then." Apple Bloom suddenly said alongside the rest of the CMC which included Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "...Well...like I've been explaining I have two personalities: Myself, Cozy Glow and then there's my other personality: The Chessmaster. She's not that much different then me, just more caring and loving." Cozy Glow stated. "...That's it?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Honestly, I'm not sure why you thought you had to hide that from your friends. True friends don't care about things like that." She added. "Oh...I guess I'm still learning..." Cozy Glow Said. "But hey, if that other personality of yours can help, can you switch back now?" Scootaloo asked. "It doesn't work like that. You'd have to say HER name to get her to talk about it." Cozy Glow stated. "...Then can you please let us talk to The Chessmaster?" Diamond Tiara asked. "DIAMOND TIARA THAT'S..." Silver Spoon was about to get on her friend's case when she noticed Cozy Glow's eyes changed color. "...Right...so here's my plan." The Chessmaster said. THE SCHOOL OF FRIENDSHIP - MAIN HALL As chancellor Nieghsay began to gather students, suddenly Cozy Glow, Sandbar, and the CMC arrived. "WHATEVER HE'S DOING, DON'T LISTEN TO HIM!" Diamond Tiara called out. "He's trying to convert this school into property of the E.E.A., and has captured five of your classmates." She announced. "It's true, he's taken my friends hostage!" Sandbar said. This caused a riot to form on Chancellor Nieghsay. "Why you pegasus filly...you are nothing but a child and an orphan, Cozy Glow." Chancellor Neighsay said. "Maybe, but you don't know everything about me." Cozy Glow said. "By the way, do you know the name of the student who was supposed to start the same time as Sandbar and his friends?" She asked, with a grin. "Why, that'd be The Chessmaster but I don't see..." Chancellor said but got interrupted when he saw Cozy Glow's eyes change color. "...Hello Chancellor Neighsay...I'm The Chessmaster." The Chessmaster Said before flying to Chancellor Neighsay and removing his medallion. "You...you and Cozy Glow are..." Chancellor neighsay said, watching Cozy's eyes change. "Yep. Two separate personalities, but a shared mindset." Cozy Glow said. "And trust me, you've never met anyone like my other self." She added. "With a name like 'The Chessmaster', that's a given." Silver Spoon said, which switched Cozy Glow back. "...Wanna know why the Rook is essential for chess, Chancellor Neighsay?" Chessmaster asked. "...Your going to tell me anyways aren't you?" Chancellor Neighsay asked. "You bet. It's a vital piece for winning chess. And the phrase one uses when they win the game..." Chessmaster said before opening the door containing her trapped friends. "...is the same one I'm using on you: CHECKMATE!" Chessmaster said before pressing the medallion which got rid of the magical chains surrounding the remaining Student 7. "Let's get going everycreature!" Sweetie Belle said. To say Chancellor Neighsay was overwhelmed was an understatement; he was in a stalemate for up until the Princess of Friendship with her friends arrived with backup from the two royal sisters. After defeating Chancellor Neighsay, the stallion realized the faults he had in his short sighted views. And things returned to normal. But the next day, over the weekend...something else had to be addressed... ================================================================================== Princess Twilight's Castle - Map Room "...So...you have two personalities in you?" Twilight asked Cozy Glow. "Yep. Sorry for not mentioning it sooner mommy I was just...scared to reveal my secret to all my new friends." Cozy Glow stated but flew over to the student 7 and the CMC. "But now, I don't really have to, anymore. Because they are my true friends, and true friends don't fret over little things like that." Cozy Glow Stated. "...Just wish I could control it." She noted. "Well I for one don't care if your Cozy Glow or The Chessmaster." Scataloo said. "Your still the same friend we've come to know." She added just as Cozy Glow switched again. "...You all do need to be careful. Switching suddenly like this could get me and Cozy Glow jumbled up." Chessmaster said. "Well either way, it was your brilliant strategy that allowed us to stop Chancellor Neighsay." Diamond Tiara said. "While Cozy Glow loves chess, I like detailed plans. Our cutie mark is both a symbol for her skill in chess and my skill in making plans." Chessmaster said. "And now that I've met all of you, I plan on making those plans to help all my friends out." She said. "...Okay, can you go back to Cozy Glow now? We'll call on you if we need your help again." Silver Spoon said, making Cozy Glow switch. "...Thank you." she said. "...Well she was running out of topics anyways." Cozy Glow said. "Still, Silver Spoon shouldn't have been so rude about it." Starlight said. "It's fine. We don't mind." Cozy Glow said. "If anything, I get tired of Chessmaster from time to time too." She added. At that, everyone shared a laugh. "But let's not forget the most important friendship lesson of all..."
