Traveling back to a barren world where she banished an old nemesis, Beatrix Belladonna searches for her prisoner, Shadow Scythe, only to encounter a floating manor that turns out to be haunted and draws her inside.

Soon the pair of old adversaries must team up, encounter allies and enemies old and new, then overcome curses and traps as they uncover its secrets while the mansion's interior constantly warps and loops on itself.
