Rainbow butted into the conversation. “It’s no big deal Applejack. You said you’re getting older yourself. Me and Appplebloom can take care of the work on the farm. You should rest for a week. You need to conserve your strength. Just kick back and relax and let us do the work for you.”

Applejack sighed. “I suppose that’s not a bad idea. But only one week ya hear? No more than that.”

Applejack sat down at the kitchen table and began eating the pancakes Applebloom had made. She poured some apple sauce on top of them. While chewing she noticed that Rainbow Dash was wearing a necklace with a red jewel. “Where’d you get that?” Applejack asked pointing with her hoof at the necklace.

“Uh just something I found in CloudsDale. I thought it looked nice,” Rainbow said.

Applejack laughed. “I never thought you’d be the type to like jewelry.”

After they finished eating Applejack left her bed sheets and blankets to soak in soapy water over night, the last bit of work Applebloom allowed her to do.
