We all know how most of these stories begin, and how they go. A dark and stormy night, a creature made from the dead, and death.

Not so here. Shall be begin?

Tis was a dark and stormy day, the rain clouds thick enough to block all sunlight. The rain beat down upon a stone colosseum. A bright pink pony walked down the halls, glittery blue hooves clacking with an echo on the slabs of stone. Safire Blue eyes glanced at CyberGuards, creatures dressed in armor resembling Cybermen. Slender legs carried the fine Earth pony's figure, with strength and muscle somehow hidden beneath the figure of a unicorn. The bright pink pony straitened the black vest that covered a rose tattoo on the chest. The pony walked out of the stone halls, leaving the torches and into the open field. Neat reddish brown hair ruined in the heavy rain. A tall, grey, muscular horse walked over, blue eyes shining in the dark.

"Good evening Doctor Thomas, sir."

"A fine afternoon, Iron Taz." the pink pony corrected the horse in a fair voice. "How is he?"

"Take a look for yourself." the horse said with a smirk.

Thomas rolled his eyes, before moving his hair out of his face. "Lantern." Iron Taz handed over a gas lantern to Thomas. The pony and horse walked over to a metal table in the center. The table had chains leading to each level of the colosseum, and wires connecting to countless machines. Laying on the table itself was the shining beauty. On it was a strapped down creature made of several deceased. The size of a child, of a foal.

A woman's voice called them out of the rain. They quickly did so. "Did you need something Mango Peach?"

The royal purple pegasus with electric blue hair glared at Thomas. "Have ya really forgotten!? ON TODAY OF ALL DAYS?" Her Manehatten accent was thick.

The two stallions looked at each other, before staring back at Mango with blank expressions. The mare facepalmed. "YOUR SPEACH!" she shouted at Thomas.

The pink earth pony frowned. "I thought we canceled that." Mango glared and opened her mouth to shout at them, when a bolt of lightning struck near the colosseum. "Oh cuss its time." He took a deep breath. "IT'S CUSSING TIME EVERYBODY!" he belted out at the top of his lungs into the stone structure. Iron Taz and Mango Peach winced. "Places, please!"

Mango shook her head, but turned and walked into the tunnel regardless. Thomas'es eyes followed her half mango half peach cutie mark for a moment, before turning and running to a cabinet. He pulled out thick rubber glove and a thick leather coat. "Get moving, you stupid bald goat!" Thomas shouted at Iron Taz as the storm worsened.

"That's racist and speciest." Iron Taz replied.

"My dear fiend of a yak whom I hate, that is who I am." Thomas replied with a laugh, before rushing back out into the rain, which beat upon him as if it was trying to flatten him. He ran to the main control console, and grabbed a microphone. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" he shouted into the mic at those at the other machines on the other layers. "TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! WE HAVE WORKED FOR WEEKS TO MAKE IT DRY ENOUGH TO HAVE A STORM SUCH AS THIS! THE GREATEST STORM IN ALL HISTORY! LET IT MARK OUR GREAT ACOMPLISHMENT! FOR TONIGHT-"

"The greatest storm was Discords and his chaos, ya git!" Iron Taz shouted. Thomas scowled.

"This is even greater! For it is the storm of life!" Mango Peach shouted back.

"WELL SAID MANGO PEACH! INDEED, THIS IS THE STORM OF LIFE!" He pulled on a lever, and watched as the table raised, chains clinking sharply. Weather balloons lined with copper were released. "AND NOW COMES THE HARDEST PART FOR US, THE BLUE EYED LIFE TEAM!" He licked his lips. "WE WAIT!"

The storm worsened, lightning crashing to the ground like arrows of war. People worked and monitored the other machines, determined that this one should live. A burst of lightning shot down, moving past the weather balloons and striking the table head on. The raw energy traveled through the chains at more lightning struck the table. The chains shattered under the force, sending the table plummeting down while the rest of the energy struck out at the machines, wrecking them and causing many explosions.

Lightning now struck the balloons. But now the energy could not reach its designated target, and spread bursting the machines.

"Lose the balloons!" a griffon shouted, before grabbing a rubber grip fire axe and chopping at the balloon tethers.

The balloons soon floated away, bringing away with then some of the storm and lessoning the rain.

"Is everybody alright?" a red haired pony with scroll colored fur asked. He helped a pony to their hooves. They all turned and looked at the body. For the space of nearly an hour, no one moved. No one spoke as the storm lightened to the point where it wasn't punching existence. Then-

It breathed. One breath it breath, before going into a coughing fit. Golden eyes snapped open as it tried to sit up, failing from the straps.

"IT LIVES!" Iron Taz screamed into the sky. A cheering was heard throughout the crowd.

"CAN IT YA SORRY LOT!" Mango Peach shouted. She walked over to the creation, struggling in the straps. "Easy. Momma's here." She undid the smoking straps. "Hi. I'm Mango Peach. I helped make you." She helped him into a sitting position. "Look. All those creatures? They're all your family." She gave it- no- she gave him a motherly smile. She reached over to hug him, when the stone walls of the colosseum exploded.

It. Was. Pure. CHAOS.

Celestia's Guard poured in, clashing against the CyberGuards. Many winged creatures tried to fly away, only to be stopped by the Wonderbolts. The two Princesses themselves were there.

*POV: IT

It screamed. Or at least, tried to. It was afraid. Then it saw something HUGE and white look right at it with rage. HUGE tried to force it's way through the crowd then a massive THING grabbed it.
*

Iron Taz grabbed the war creation and ran. He saw all exit ways were blocked. So, he made a new one. Iron Taz burst through the stone walls of the colosseum, charging strait through and out into the surrounding woods. He could not let Celestia ruin EVERYTHING he had worked for. The DNA for the PERFECT soldier laid in his very hooves. Celestia would thank him one day. For now, she did not understand.

*POV: Luna

Luna blasted away one one of the Blue Eyed Cult followers away from herself, before seeing a horse grab an unconscious pony and run strait through several layers of three feet of solid stone. She then saw a Pegasus of Royal purple follow. A Pink Unicorn and an earth pony with a copper coat followed as well. Another Unicorn leaped out, having a coat of lime-green. Luna flew after them, to make sure they did not get too far.
*

Mango Peach followed through the forged passage way. The child had been brought to life, and she would do anything to protect him. And it seemed so would Iron Taz. Yet he wasn't headed to the DNA registered bunker entrance. He was heading into the forest. 'Wait... DNA-' "NOO!" Mango Peach screamed as she tackled Iron Taz. The child went flying. Mango quickly caught him. She would name him later. For now-

Luna was confused. Why did the purple pegasus attack her partn- Luna's eyes widened in horror as the grey horsed reach over and tore the pegasus's left wing cleanly off.

Thomas rammed into Iron Taz. Mango's wing bounced off his head. "YOU BASTARD! I knew you were bad, you low down son of a griffon!" Thomas reared back left arm. Iron Taz broke it with a simple punch. "AUGH!"

"Good sir, that is rude and racist." Iron Taz growled. He got up, throwing Thomas off himself "Now, if you excuse me, I must take this soldier for-" and saw Luna though the branches of the forest. He gained a bored look, before kicking of the ground and running. He could hear the sound of a river. He smiled. It meant he was close. Iron Taz suddenly heard someone try to leap at him, and simply kicked out his legs. "You know, I am not a horse of pure muscle for no reason." he said, turning to face his would-be assaulter.

Gear Crank glared at Iron Taz as he got up. He saw blood getting on his copper coat, but he did not care. He had a mission to do. He quickly brushed the silver hair out of his face. "That thing needs to die, Taz. It defies all of Celestia's Laws. It's a freak of nature that was make by sin! It needs to be destroyed for Celestia's sake!"

Those word, despite being so simple, pierced Iron Taz. "IT WAS FOR THE SAKE OF CELESTIA THIS SOLDIER WAS MADE!" Iron Taz bellowed at his ex-comrade. Iron Taz wondered how he was not yet caught by Luna. The two froze as they heard maniacal laughter. Iron Taz and Gear Crank had only one thought. Run.

*

Luna knew they would get away. If she tried to track them in a storm like this, she would lose them. Instead, she decided to help the pegasus. Luna found the wing, only to discover it had been struck by lightning. Half of the wing had become ash. The rest was burnt to a black crisp. Luna levitated the wing and brought it to the pegasus. "No" The royal purple pony said. "I will not be healed of this. I need to keep my son safe- GAUGH!" She tried to get up, and fell from the pain.

"Do not worry. We- I shall help you. What is your name?" Luna asked.

The pegasus remained silent for some moments. She than shook, and let out a sob. "M-My name is Mango Peach. I just want to save my son!" Tears poured down her face, mixing in with the rain. A Lime Green Unicorn ran past, making no sound as he stepped on branches. No sound, that is, but his laughter. "And now it seems the situation grow more dire." Peach looked at Luna, than at her wing. "I can not save my son. Please, I beg of you, leave me and save him! The horse wishes to turned him evil. Please, please save him!"

Luna did not waste another moment. She kicked off the ground, pulling in her magic to increase her speed, navigating through the darkness with ease. As she ran through the forest she heard the others crashing through the forest. The sound of a waterfall roaring, yet a voice screaming "YOU FAILED!" easily overpowered the sound. Luna came to the edge of a waterfall, seeing a body fall over the edge. She saw a lime-green Unicorn screaming with rage at the sky. But his eyes were crossed. One eye stared at the copper earth pony. The other eye stared at Luna. She wondered why he was staring at her. Unless... Luna whipped her head around, catching sight of the horses hooves coming right at her face. Then, everything went dark.

*

Mango Peach sat in defeat, crying her soul out as Glitter Case's words rang in her ears. You failed. A heavy reminder that would haunt her. That she failed to save her son. With him gone, what reason was there to live? "I failed to save Ruferd." she sobbed, admitting the truth. She felt someone sit beside her.

"He's not dead. He can survive a waterfall." Thomas reached over and grabbed Mango by the shoulder, his other leg too damaged. "Mango Peach, I give you my word that I will help you find him. But we can't do that if we are in prison. I need you to run. To hide. I will find you. But if you want to be reunited with Ruferd, you need to hide." Thomas got up and ran the the waterfall. He took a deep breath, and screamed as loud as his lungs could allow him. "YOUR NAME IS RUFERD!"
