Smolder awoke in her dorm room at the School of Friendship on a sunny Saturday morning. She looked over the digital clock on her nightstand, and smiled. It read 7:30 AM. Throughout the whole week, Smolder had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the weekend. She found that she was doing very well in her classes recently, and as a result, had not even a single page of make-up work. This meant that she was free to do as she pleased for the next few days. About a month ago, Smolder had revealed a long kept secret to her five friends. Of course, she already admitted to them that she liked indulging in cute, silly, and overly girly activities after completing the test put forth on them by the Tree of Harmony. However, the most recent secret she shared was a little different. It dug deeper into her love for silly and cute things, and was even what one would describe as foalish in nature. Smolder had revealed to her friends that she enjoyed wearing diapers, and being taken care of as a little girl. When the right opportunities presented themselves or when she simply needed a safe emotional outlet, Smolder entered 'littlespace.' It was safe to say that the dragon girl was into ageplay. But not of the sexual variety, no. She knew that was not yet appropriate for a girl her age. Instead, her indulgences in ageplay were much more wholesome and innocent. When she first revealed this to her friends, they asked the usual series of questions. "Where did this come from?", "What makes you feel this way?", etc etc. Then, Silverstream had asked something a bit more personal and intriguing.
"Smolder?" The usually hyperactive hippogriff seemed strangely timid and nervous.
"Yeah, Silver?" Smolder responded, indicating for her friend to continue.
"What's.... What's your little age? Like, when you're in littlespace, how young do you imagine yourself being?" Silverstream asked, a blush spreading across her feathery face.
"Well, I'm actually glad you asked. I usually imagine myself as being a four year old toddler. A toddler who oddly happens to not be potty trained, but continuity doesn't matter to me." Smolder explained.
"I see. Thanks for clearing that up." Silverstream happily responded.
"It's quite alright. But, why exactly do you ask?" The dragon girl asked, feeling curious herself now.
"Oh." Silverstream said, unsure of how to answer. She figured there was no harm in saying it. "Well, you see, I may or may not be looking to experiment with this myself. Your description of what it's like for you sounds so inviting and wonderful. Besides, you know that I'm always willing to try new things, no matter what they may be." The hippogriff smiled.
"Oh, that's great, Silver! I'm glad I could help open your eyes to this. If you want, I can give you pointers and recommendations along the way." Smolder beamed with pride.
"That would be nice. Thank you, Smolder!" Silverstream pulled her in for a hug.
Smolder's flashback ended, and she refocused on her morning routine. She brushed her teeth and fixed her spikes, and then ate a quick bowl of gemstone cereal. She then grabbed her necessities, and stepped out into the hallway. She giddily walked up to Silverstream's door, and rapped on it. "Comingg~" The sing-song voice of her bubbly friend sounded from inside. Soon enough, the door opened.
"Hiii, Silver!" The dragon chirped.
"Good morning, Smolder! Do you need something?" Silverstream asked.
"Actually yes. I was wondering if you're ready to have some fun today?" Smolder gestured to the diaper bag slung over her shoulder. Silver's smiled dropped.
"Oh. I'm sorry, Smolder, but I'm afraid I'm going to be busy all weekend. I would tell you to ask the others, but unfortunately, well all need to do a lot of extra credit for different classes."
Smolder looked down in disappointment. "Oh...ok. What about Ocellus, though? She never has to do extra credit." The dragon wondered.
"She's going to be visiting Thorax and her friends at the Hive for the next four days." Silver said.
"I see." Smolder sighed in defeat. Then, Silverstream lifted Smolder's chin with her claw.
"I'm really, really sorry. You'll have to find someone else to turn to this time. But don't fret, my little one. It won't be hard to do if you know where to look." Silver did her best to reassure her. Smolder thanked her anyway, and turned away. She sadly walked out of the dormitory, and into the outside world.
Smolder sat on a bench in Ponyville, with her diaper bag placed next to her. She wasn't worried about anypony being suspicious. To the casual observer, she simply appeared to be a tired babysitter taking a rest. "I have to find someone else to turn to." She mused over Silverstream's words. "While that's all well and good, who exactly am I supposed to go to? No one else in this town knows this about me." She rested her chin on her palm and thought deeply. Suddenly, a familiar male voice spoke up to the left of her.
"Perhaps I can be of some assistance?" Smolder was startled, jumped in surprise, and looked over to see who it was. She was greeted by the old, boney face of Discord, the all-powerful Lord of Chaos himself. He wore a quizzical expression, and appeared to be waiting patiently for her to answer. Before Smolder said anything though, thoughts came to her. What was he doing here? What could he possibly want from her? Smolder vaguely knew him, mostly from the numerous accounts of her professors, and that one time he had wreaked havoc in the school. Based on what she had heard from Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, he had recently taken up Pinkie's mantel of being the local entertainer and party planner. It was especially important, now that Pinkie was working as a teacher full time. In regards to this, Smolder heard that he has actually been doing a pretty good job so far, easily living up to the chaotic standards the position held. He had even developed a clown persona complete with a costume, makeup, and props, which he performed as regularly for birthday parties, parades, and town festivals. Even though she didn't know him that well, Smolder had to admit, she was impressed that he had made such a good name for himself. With this in mind, she finally responded to him.
"Heyy, Discord. Congrats on becoming Ponyville's new party pony. You're doing an awesome job." Smolder said, trying to stay as calm as possible. As impressed with him as she was, she was still very wary of him after the fiasco he caused for her, her friends, and Guidance Counselor Starlight. But, she shrugged it off, hoping he wasn't planning any funny business. Now it was his turn to speak.
"Hiya Smolder! Thanks by the way, I really appreciate it. You want a balloon?" He asked, pulling a red helium balloon from nowhere, and mimicking the voice of Tim Curry's Pennywise.
Smolder giggled, getting the reference, then said "Nah, I'm fine for now. Thanks for offering though!" Discord gave an understanding nod, and let go of the balloon. It flew around in the air, screaming madly like a pony as it deflated and disappeared. Smolder decided to break some of the ice and ask him what was up. "Sooo....why are you here exactly?" He gave a knowing smirk and answered her question.
"Well, I'm here to help you, believe it or not." She began sweating nervously and taking glances at her diaper bag.
"H-he-help me with what?" She asked, knowing full well it won't fool him. He smiled and wagged a talon at her.
"Don't play dumb with me, Missy! You know exactly what I'm talking about." He said, in a lightly scolding tone. Smolder blushed, as it triggered her Little side to surface slightly. To prove his point, Discord gestured to the diaper bag between them. Smolder blushed harder and facepalmed.
"Oh for the love of.....How did you know?" She asked in a hushed whisper, so as not to draw any attention from passersby. Discord answered in that same whisper, respecting her privacy.
"I just do. I knew everything from the very beginning. Don't ask me why. I'm an omniscient being, that's just how it works." For some reason, Smolder wasn't convinced.
"How do I know you're actually telling the truth?" She asked, albeit rather smugly. Discord slowly leaned in to her ear, with a sly clown smile stretched onto his face.
"You, my dear girl, are a Little. You love girly things and baby things alike. You revel in parental attention from people you care about. Most of all, you're upset today, because no one is here to play with you." Smolder blushed from ear to ear, eyes wide and mouth agape, as he listed off some of her deepest and most personal desires, despite the information never once leaving her friend group. She knew this for a fact, and it put her in even more disbelief. Discord chuckled as he sat back, still grinning, and said "Is that truth enough for ya?"
"S-so...you...you w-want to b-be-?" She stammered as Discord cut her off.
"I want to be your caregiver for your days off? Yes. Definitely. Absolutely." Smolder slumped back into the bench, taking it all in.
"So...that settles it then." She said, still feeling slightly perplexed. This threw Discord off.
"Wait, you're actually ok with it? Wow, and here I thought you didn't like me..." He shook his head and got back on track. "Well then, I suppose a bit of an introduction is in order. Let's get going, shall we?" He held out his eagle claw for her to hold, while he slung the diaper bag over his right shoulder. With a flash of light, the two disappeared, and then immediately reappeared in front of his home in Chaosville. Smolder looked around in a panic.
"Woah! Wait a minute! How did we get here?!" Discord chuckled as he watched her freak out.
"A magician never reveals his secrets."

Discord unlocked the front door with a skeleton key, complete with a laughing skull. He opened it, and they both stepped inside. Immediately, Smolder was greeted with an entourage of different colors and patterns all over the floor and walls. There were many things in this house that were completely new to her. The color schemes, the furniture, the various chaotic anomalies that would pop in and out of existence. Not to mention, the weird smell. Smolder took a deep breath of the air in the house and said "Huh. It smells like the 80s all over this place." Discord looked at her quizzically.
"How would you know the 80s smelled like? I mean, don't get me wrong, I lived through that period and this exactly what it smelled like, but I'm just saying...." He chuckled at himself. Smolder nodded.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I wouldn't know." She said. Looking around, she didn't see anything hinting at the existence of a second floor, or anything that would be in a normal house. She turned to him and asked "Sooo, you... uh... got a bedroom or something that we can get this started in?" Discord scoffed and smiled.
"Well of course I do, they're upstairs." He said, titling his head and gesturing to the staircase. Smolder looked over at them, with a confused expression on her face.
"But... your stairs don't lead anywhere." She said. Discord chuckled at her misconception.
"Oh yeah, they do. Go ahead, walk up them. See for yourself." He told her, nonchalantly. With a shrug of her shoulders, Smolder walked toward the staircase and began to climb them. About halfway, she stopped and looked at Discord for confirmation. He smirked and waved his hand, motioning for her to continue. Hesitantly, Smolder did. As she neared the top, she crouched low, as to not hit her head off the ceiling. She heard Discord give another chuckle. "Haha! Why are you crouching?" He asked.
"Are you stupid or something? There's nothing here! Why do you think I'm crouching?" She told him.
"Put up your hand up, silly! Try to feel it." He said, smiling. Smolder did as she was told, and raised her hand to feel the ceiling. Unexpectedly, it phased right through what she thought was solid drywall. The part of the ceiling above the stairs was only an illusion. Slowly, she stood up straight and allowed her top half to go through. Then, she walked the rest of the way up, and reached the landing. Smolder looked around, while Discord trudged up the stairs to meet her. It was an open room with a series of three misshapen doors leading to separate rooms. Discord's bedroom, a guest bathroom, and a guest bedroom. Wondering how ridiculous his bedroom must look, Smolder decided to check in there first. Opening the door and stepping inside, she scanned around. Oddly enough, while it fit with the 80s design and theme of the rest of the house, it was also the most normal looking room she'd seen so far. The floor was carpeted, with a confetti pattern reminiscent of what you find in an 80s family pizzeria. The walls had dark wood paneling all around. Hanging from them, were a variety of abstract paintings, and a vintage wall clock in the shape of a star. The windows were on the left side of the room, with striped curtains reaching the floor. On the right side, a large walk-in closet, with double doors. In the center against the wall, was Discord's queen bed. It had a wooden frame, with a red/white polka dot comforter. Underneath, there were purple/blue bed sheets. Propped against the headboard, were two orange pillows. Smolder took a breath through her nose, and smelled the classic must from all the wood. She turned around to face Discord, who had stopped behind her.
"Okay, I think I just found my favorite room. This is really cool." Smolder said, her eyes sparkling.
"Indeed, it is. In case you couldn't already tell, I'm kind of a big fan of the 80s. I was just never able to let them go, you know?" Discord scratched the back of neck sheepishly.
"Yeah I could tell! Even your TV is one of those old-school box sets. I don't how you manage to live with such outdated technology and utilities, it's amazing!" She excitedly said. Discord chuckled.
"I have my ways." He then turned around and faced the door to the guest room. "Come on, your room will be in here." He opened the door, allowing Smolder to step inside. Her eyes went wide with shock as she examined the room. She was standing in an oversized nursery. The walls were light pink, and hinted at this room belonging to a girl. There were hand painted butterflies on all sides. There was a large crib, a rocking horse (ironically), a toy chest, a changing table, a high chair, and a wardrobe. Smolder was overjoyed at the sight. A wide smile spread across her face, and her eyes sparkled as brightly as ever.
"Aaaaa!" She squeed. "You have a nursery?!" She turned back to Discord and excitedly shouted. He put a finger to his lips and nervously shushed her.
"Shhh, not so loud! The neighbors might hear you!" He said, looking around as to find anyone who might have heard her.
Smolder blushed. "Oh, sorry. Why is this here though, if you don't mind me asking?"
Now it was Discord's turn to blush. "I'll tell you that later. It's not important at the moment. Right now, I think we should focus on getting you changed." He laid the diaper bag next to the changing table and motioned for her to hop up. Smolder did so, and Discord pulled the supplies out of the bag. Smolder blushed as he diapered her. She had never done this with a different person before. Usually it was always her friends with her. Soon enough though, the change was over. She sat up and Discord helped her off the table. "Alright sweetie! Let's get you dressed up all nice and pretty!" He exclaimed.
Smolder gasped happily. "Pretty? Yeah yeah! Smoller love pretty!" Discord chuckled at the nickname she gave herself. He had thought it would take her a bit longer to get into Littlespace, since she wasn't with her friends this time around, but he wasn't complaining. Discord walked over to the wardrobe, opened it, and started looking for something she could wear. He didn't find much, as everything he already had was designed to fit a pony, but he did find a silver tiara and an old pearl necklace. He could use these as accessories, but in the end he just decided to materialize a princess dress for Smolder to wear. He snapped his paw, and it poofed into existence before him. "Here, how's this?" He asked her.
Smolder's eyes lit up. "Yayyy! I wanna wear! Gimmee!" She squeaked, reaching out for the dress with grabby claws. Discord took it off the hanger, and helped her into it.
When she was dressed, Discord spoke up. "Okay, little one! What would do you want to do now?" He asked her calmly.
Smolder smiled. "Can you do my makeup, Grunkle Dissy? Pleaseee?" She gave him puppy eyes.
Discord's heart fluttered at hearing her call him 'grunkle.' He looked up at the ceiling and spoke to thin air. "Stanley? If you're hearing this, I really hope you're proud of me."
(Far off in a different dimension, Stanley Pines looked up from his newspaper, feeling a disturbance he recognized. Naturally, he smiled and answered. "Heh. I sure am, Funny Man. I sure am.")
Discord led her over to the vanity in the corner by the crib. He pulled a makeup kit out of the drawer. Turning to Smolder, who was sitting on the stool, he began to do her makeup for her. He applied mascara, lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush. Looking at his finished handiwork, he was satisfied and impressed with himself. He did have a lot of experience on himself with his clown makeup, after all. Lastly, he fastened the necklace around her neck, and placed the tiara on her head. "Ok, Smoly. It's done. You are now a very pretty princess!"
Smolder turned toward the mirror and beamed. "Yuss! Dat's me! I da pwetty pwincess!" She clapped her hands and giggled.
