Video Killed The Radio Star
The clock chimed 12 times. The annual extermination day was over, told also by the bodies on the street and the hundreds of demons slowly leaving their houses, observing the death, with hardly any remorse as they went on with their daily crimes, sex and porn.
"Oh, Airstop~" a familiar voice called out. Airstop himself stopped running and picked up the pace after he heard his former boss, Vox, run after him. "You've been a very naughty boy, running away from me like that..."
Airstop ran into an alleyway, certain he wasn't going to be tracked down as easy. He was so close to running on all fours, yet he didn't do so.
Vox's shadow loomed over the wall, and just as he walked in the alley, something else loomed over him. Something more close..
Before he could react, his head was put in a bag and he was knocked out almost instantly, and was alone with Vox's cold, soulless laugh rattling around in his skull.
When he came to, Airstop was in a musty apartment room, with a bed in the corner and a TV in the other, albeit a very small one. He was bound with rope to a chair, so struggling was useless. Maybe if he..
The door slammed open to reveal 2 figures, both had wings and were about the same size, maybe 5'4, 5'5 ish? It didn't matter. They both had red wings and the same body shape, muscular. The Danny brothers. he scoffed. These guys were all talk and no shit.
Vox walked in and gave a small tut. "I know what you're thinking, but I want to hear you say it." He looked towards the brothers and nodded. "Remove the tape. If he tries to attack, attack back." They nodded and approached the wolf.
The tape ripped off fairly easily, and he took in the horrible smell of booze, weed and leftover pizza. Airstop sighed, hiding his true intentions.
"I would say go to hell, but we're already here. There's not much I can say, so what the fuck do you want from me?" he yelled.
Vox growled. For a man who hardly showed emotions, he was getting pissed tonight. "Why did you run, Stoppy? We had some much... fun~"
Airstop sighed again, shuffling in his chair."I know this is hell and nobody gives a shit, but you can go fuck yourself, Vox. For a TV, your signal never works."
Vox laughed sarcastically and then snapped his emotions back down to anger. The Danny brothers looked at Vox and they made eye contact...
And then Vox pulled out a pump action shotgun and shot them both in a twisted turn of events.
Without saying a word, Vox grabbed a needle with some sort of orange substance and injected it into Airstop, making him weak. Vox cut off the bounds holding him to the chair.
"Now go." he murmured under his breath. "Go and never return to me you dick."
Even in his... Current state, he could tell how Vox was feeling.
And it was pissed.
Airstop made his way back to the alleyway he had been kidnapped at less then... However long it had been. All of his limbs wanted to collapse and his head was throbbing with pain. What little he had deteriorated with each extinction.
He laid down on the horrible mattress as the day hours turned to night and the moon rose.
When he awoke, his body was in a patch of cold. Instead of the buildings of the surrounding area looming over him, it was now a treeline. There were screams and animalistic snarls and growls coming from just beyond a dirt path, illuminated by a light glow of orange. Fire?
Whatever it was coming from, people were in trouble and despite his horrible human life, he wanted... a second chance.
Airstop got up, immediately going on all fours and running as if his life depended on it. His destroyed cape that had provided him with warmth on cold nights blew in the wind and his tail swished behind him as he made his way through the dirt forest.
The fact that he had lived in hell was weird, but animals made of wood that was double the height of him confused him more, and small ponies and a baby dragon comes in close second. Neither of the two parties had noticed him, as his fur was dark, but he made his presence known with a huge yell.
"HEY, WHY DON'T YOU GO PICK ON SOMEONE ELSE YOUR OWN SIZE?"
The two parties were now alerted at his presence, and he deeply underestimated how many wooden wolf things there was, because as soon as he said that, at least 3 more emerged from the forest. He was tackled by one, being pinned to the ground but a bolt of purple magic saved him, allowing him to regain his footing. Another beast tried to come for him, but he was prepared. They tackled each other and once again, he was almost pinned to the ground. Despite his small posture compared to the creature, he pinned it by the neck, preventing him from biting. He didn't account for his leg, however, and the creature went in for the attack on the leg, pain surging through him, causing his grip to loosen more than he'd like. Backing up, he hit a tree with a thud and the creature and another friend, not far behind him. They gained up slowly and Airstop braced for impact, covering his head with his hands.
But the impact never came, as a shot of magic hit the creature in head, and the other creature obviously tried to avenge his fallen friend, but got cut out by another shot of magic by a unicorn? She had wings and was purple, and was unlike the steriotpical description of unicorns back from earth.
At that point, his eyes closed slowly as the creatures ran towards him. His breathing steadied as his body was picked up by something and the wind began to rush through his fur again, which was covered mostly in rain water and mud.
There was one thing he could make out in his state.
"Zecora."
He tried to fight against his possible captors, but the state he was in, toppled with the pain and the confusing situation made the world around him numb. From the side of him was something blue and.. Flying?
It put a hoof on Airstop's chest and did some sort of facial emotion before murmuring something under her (or whatever gender they were)'s breath.
Then he blacked.
