//-------------------------------------------------------// Better Angels -by CameronCairns- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One: Can't Carry one //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One: Can't Carry one Cameron Cairns had an addiction,not a drug or alcohol addiction, but sometimes he wish it was.He was addicted to My little pony Friendship is Magic.Sitting on his warm large modern chair,His eyes Glaring at the bright screen looking for new episodes or spoilers on youtube.This was his only way to get a small amount of knowledge on what a friendship is.Living on a isolated part of land far from any town's or city's.His house was large modern a large area, with a very modern house, its color is pure white.With a large porch  it very modern.His parents were very wealthy and earned a lot of  money by Trading goods online.Cameron's parents never spent any time with him, they made up excuses for them not being able to  spend time with him.They spent most of there time on computers like he did.He may of been wealthy,but money doesn't buy happiness. Sitting on his comfortable warm chair.Cameron was scrolling on the computer, with the computer screen glaring at him look for new episodes of My little Pony Friendship is magic or spoilers.This was his closest thing to a real friend,this was the only joy got through life, he couldn't handle much more of this.His life was about as plain as a piece of paper nothing new every day he used, to say "Same shit different day" which was true.The reason he didn't like his life was because he couldn't, call anyone his friends not even his ignorant parents.Scuffing his red and black in confusion he decided to change his clothes into pajamas since it was already 11:00 pm.His parents didn't care what time he went to bed.They didn't care about Cameron at all.Wearing his favorite deep blue pajamas he went down stairs to say goodnight.His parent's were talking about what goods they should sell,Cameron noticed that his over weight hairy father, was wearing favorite black sweater.Cameron always noticed little things like his skinny tall mother was wearing her favorite jacket.Cameron said "Goodnight guys". Completely oblivious  to what Cameron said he quietly went back into his beautiful room. Cameron pulled  his sheets on top of him.Drifting slowly to sleep he noticed a purplish shimmer coming, through his window he ignored it but it kept getting brighter. So he peeked through the window.Cameron saw a large purplish glow coming from the dark murky forest.The purplish light was so compelling he decided at dawn he would check it out.Cameron drifted back to sleep. Cameron woke expectantly,and thought it was day but it wasn't day.Cameron went to check what the time is Cameron turned on his lights.The bright light gauged his eyes.He couldn't see for about a minute.Finally his vision cleared,and checked his digital clock it was only 3:46 am.This came as a huge shock to him,he thought the light coming through his blinds was sunlight but he was wrong.The only thing that would produce light at dark was moon.But the moon couldn't have been,this bright? This wasn't the only thing that scared Cameron the blinds and furniture were jolting.Not very big jolts only big enough for you just to notice.He opened the blinds and saw that the light that woke him up,and it wasn't the moon.He rubbed his eyes because he couldn't believe how large it had gotten.The large purplish light was about as large as the whole forest.He thought of all possible outcomes of why this purple light is coming through the forest.But this wasn't just a normal light this light was compelling and made you want to come to it.Sort of like a moth and a lamp.This light scared him but was actually giving him a small amount of comfort as well.His room was completely submerged in dark purple this made room look completely different.His beautiful stylish gray and white room with fancy chandlers,looked like a room which had been hit by a devastating apocalypse because of this purplish glow.This light wasn't only changing the look of his room but his mind.He saw a dark outline of  shapes, people, figures.Which was too much for him he ran down his stairs but the whole house, had a different feeling of sadness, and loneliness,which he had never felt before.He ran onto his front porch,he cried silently in fear.He can't carry on. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two: New Start //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two: New Start Crying on the dark silent porch Cameron felt a very strong urge to check out the purplish light, at least then he will know what lay behind the dark purplish light.He was still scared,but determined to find the source of this unnatural light.He knew what supplies he would need.Cameron headed to the rusted worn old metal shed and opened the screeching metal door and made his way through.He grabbed a sturdy torchlight and a pack of extra batteries,just in case.Cameron didn't know what he was up against so he packed a lot of supplies.Then shut the shed door then headed into the woods alone.The woods were like the ones off the horror movies dark and murky and a horrible stench.The tree's look they like they  had dead for centuries and had fungus all over them the foot path was cobweb and sticky mud,which was easy to get your feet stuck into.But he knew he must tread on .The light was getting brighter.Too bright he had to look at the ground it was impossible to look forward without burning your eyes.Cameron was treading until he noticed the light wasn't getting brighter,he turned on his flashlight and continued forward until he stumbled into something. He couldn't believe what he was seeing it was like a purple, portal inside a giant tree.It looked transparent so he could see straight through it.This sight was really too mind boggling to see a real portal.The tree had ancient carvings forged into it by someone or something.The tree was wide and very thick, even though the tree was dead it still looked beautiful in Cameron's eyes.His eyes were glaring at the mystical strange portal,thinking what lay through there.A note was attached to the tree Cameron giggled a bit it reminded him a bit of Slender.The note had strange words it said: Dreams await but are demons your fate? It took Cameron a long time to understand what that meant, It confused him and made him scared as well.He thought to him self what would be a smart way to figure out if the portal was safe or not.Searching through his leather bag for any thing that may help him through, the large portal. Savaging around in his leather bag he found a very thick large rope  and a over sized nail under a whole lot, of medicine supplies.He pulled out the rope and the nail.Cameron attached the rope to the nail,and put the nail in the muddy ground and descended into the portal.The nail was under so much immense pressure by Cameron's weight that he fell down the portal.Cameron panicked and fainted because he thought he would die.When Cameron came awake,Cameron felt like he was being stretched when inside the portal, the colors of inside the portal were weird.As if he was seeing all of his memories again it was like virtual time line of what he had done in his life.All of the flowing videos and pictures came to a halt,it went black no light anywhere until,he felt like he passed something, actually he knew he passed something.He felt like he was falling.He began to see stars not real stars, like animated stars,Cameron passed moons and planets but they had, all the same feature they were all animated.He saw a planet heading for him in the distance he tried,to avoid the planet in fear of falling to his death.But he was too slow and it was vendible  for him to hit the planet.He then realized, that he had traveled to another universe,and this universe looked familiar too familiar.Cameron began to brace for impact when he saw a hot air balloon trying as hard he can to land, on the balloon he succeeded and bounced down to the hand woven driver seat, then Cameron noticed something that would change his life forever. Before noticing what happened,Cameron fainted under the amount of shock from hitting the air balloon and passed.The "thing" or the conductor of the hot air balloon,instantly headed down back to the planet and headed to the nearest hospital.When Cameron woke up,he was in hospital and every wire possible strapped to his,body and two monitor's to measure Cameron's temperature and health.His vision was blurred barely moving Cameron got up.He saw a thing moving in the distance in the hall.But before looking at the thing he looked at himself, he was morphed or a chemical reaction occurred and he had, hooves instead of hands and hooves instead of legs.Startled by his new self he look at his skin color, it was pure black.Getting up from the stretcher he went to the nearest window and stared at himself, then he knew exactly where he was.Cameron switched universes from his dimension to my little pony dimension. He knew this was his new life this was a new start. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three:A New Life //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three:A New Life Looking at him self,he thought to himself how,why,and who.He looked completely,different to how he used to looked he had dark black skin but before, on earth he was white.Red and black emo hair which covered half of his eye, and a small fluffy red and black tail he turned around to look at his flank and no cutie mark was there, he was startled he wasn't a filly he was a normal pony.Why didn't he have his cutie mark.Cameron jumped when he saw another pony, with pink hair tied, into a bun with pale white skin and red eyes.Her cutie mark was first aid.Cameron suspected that she was the nurse."Good afternoon what is your name?" she asked Cameron kindly.Cameron startled and said "Um.... Ca- Cam- Cameron" he said shyly.The polite pony replied "Well my name is Rachael heal, it look's like you have take a fall did your wings, fail on you or something?" Cameron looked on the side of his body and saw a pair of big black healthy feathery wings.He had never seen them before so that, meant he must be a Pegasus.Cameron didn't know what to say so he replied "I passed out during in the air and fell onto a hot air balloon"."Well Cameron we have had you tested and scanned no bones or muscles have been broken or torn your free to go" Rachael replied.Cameron wanted to ask Rachael a question before he left he said "What happened to my cutie mark he asked Rachael.Rachael looked puzzled and confused and said "I don't know but i am sure you will get it back some how".Cameron was walking down the corridor and he saw a lot, of patients more than the usual hospital will hold.Exiting the hospital door's Cameron thought to himself "What should i do now?". Walking out onto the street,thought to himself he should find a place to stay or he would freeze to death.It was cold he decided to glide,over the town with his wings.Even though there was no broken bones or muscle's they still hurt enough not to fly.He walking through the small town.The atmosphere of the town was lovely, everyone knew everyone an very one was lovely.But no one knew him as, soon as he walked into the town square.Everyone began to stare, at him he felt like he was doing something wrong and he didn't fit in.But actually all the pony's began to smile at Cameron and ask him question's that he couldn't answer like "Hello where did you live before you came to ponyville?" or "Do you have any friend's are you lonely?".Cameron loved all the attention he felt like he was apart of the village.But the pony's questions just kept coming.Cameron began to feel awkward in front of all the pony's and tried to move away.But they swarmed over him like a pack of wild wolves.He was picked up by a pony and dragged away.The pony took Cameron through a large isolated patch of wilderness,where they found the pony's house.The pony stopped dragging Cameron until they reached the beautiful grassy door.The pony quietly said "Um.... i- thought you we in um... trouble so i helped... you get out..." Cameron knew the voice., sounded like his favorite pony's voice Fluttershy. Cameron let out a tiny squeak of joy of seeing the beautiful pony with pink  hair and yellow body.Thank you my na- name is Cameron" Cameron stuttered."Well nice to meet you Cameron, would you like to stay here the night, or are you staying at some pony's house?".Cameron thought to himself he had no where else to go apart from into his favorite pony's house to stay."Sure" Cameron said cheerfully "I actually fell out of the sky and hurt my wing a bit and i have no where to live my house has gone" Cameron said quietly.Fluttershy gasped in disbelief, of what Cameron had just said.Fluttershy said "Well you can stay at my house as long as you can".Cameron made a warm smile at Fluttershy she blushed in embarrassment."Don't be embarrassed Fluttershy your beautiful" he said."beautiful?" fluttershy remarked "No one has ever called me beautiful before".Cameron said shyly "you are and don't let anyone say your not", Fluttershy let out a tiny squeak of joy."Why don't we come inside it's cold out here" Fluttershy said.Cameron nodded and headed into the beautiful house, which he had seen hundreds of time's on a computer screen but not in real life. Fluttershy asked Cameron about himself, Cameron wasn't sure what to say since he had only been in this world for about two days.Cameron said "I like to look after animals in my spare time and i used to have a job in computer's ".That's what Cameron used to do on his old universe, the pet's were his only close friends.But right now he is beginning to make one,which made this the happiest day of his life.Fluttershy was happy to have a new friend like Cameron, who has animals as friends.Cameron asked Fluttershy about her personal hobbies even though Cameron knew them he wanted hear her say it.Fluttershy Blushed and smiled then said "Well i like looking after animals as well they are like friends".Cameron knew that him and Fluttershy were alike.After a lot of chatting they went to bed,Cameron slept on a bunker whiles Fluttershy slept on her bed.Cameron felt happy for once he knew his life had been changed forever and he was happy about.Cameron and Fluttershy began to drift happily to sleep together. Cameron woke up,scratched his eyes with his hooves.Cameron began to get out of bed and head downstairs into the beautiful, natural peaceful lounge.He began searching for Fluttershy through the house he found her reading the latest newspaper in her library."Oh... so- sorry did i wake you?" Fluttershy said kindly."No you didn't don't worry about me" Cameron said.Cameron look over Fluttershy's shoulder and asked "What are you reading?"."um.. uh...Nothing much in the  newspaper today" She said."Apart from a new virus heading for equestria, i bet we will find a cure for it though" she said.Cameron was a bit cautious "Are you sure shouldn't we warn your friends to stay indoors? Fluttershy said "Your right we were going to have a picnic i will warn them then do you want to come Cameron?".Cameron Hesitated but then said "Yes"."Ok then we will atleave soon Fluttershy said quietly,she began to stare at Cameron and blushed."Where are we going to?" Cameron said.Fluttershy answered " We will eat our picnic under a nice little cave um... are you alright with that?" She said.Cameron said "Of course i am ok with it.Cameron decided to look around her house because he hadn't seen apart from on a TV screen.It was so real he word's couldn't describe what he felt it was so good.Cameron began to fall asleep on the couch again until it was time for the picnic,he slowly drifted off and slept.After about a good 2 hours Cameron was awoken by a slight nudge on his flank, Cameron's eye's were fully opened he glared at Fluttershy's face, "Um... ca- can we go no- now it's almost time" Fluttershy muttered.Cameron replied "You shouldn't have to ask me don't worry and sure let's go".He got up slowly and scratched his eye's with his hooves and yawned, been still tired "Let's go Cameron we don't have much time" she said "I know let's go" Cameron said and smiled at Fluttershy, she blushed. They exited the natural viney house and went into the wilderness and followed a gravel path way.The surroundings  around the rugged path was amazing there were giant hills and a beautiful natural scenery and a light blue  waterfall, this lovely scenery was lovely compared to earth.All earth was filled with is filth and pollution but this land was different this land had been looked after for centuries and they are prepared to keep it that way, these were one of the many reason's why Cameron loved this place more than earth his old home.Through walking through the lovely scenery for a while they reached a dark tall thick bushy tree, beside the magnificent rocky dark cave with a large rock pool in the center of the cave.But it was a bit dangerous it did look like it could give in quite quickly if there was to be a earthquake.Fluttershy and Cameron were late they had already set a large checkered red and black table cloth on the ground and a large amount of food already sitting there and Cameron, felt a bit like he was intruding which he knowed the pony's through the TV show but they didn't know him which felt a bit wrong.They both walked in and sat down Fluttershy introduced Cameron to the group they all made Cameron feel welcome and treated them as one of them he loved that.But it was awkward somehow.Sitting comfortably on his black and red hand stitched pillow.Chatting with all of his new friend's, but he felt a tiny rumble, it was just enough to feel.Cameron turned around to looked at the water in the rock pool and noticed that the water began to ripple and sway which seemed, unnatural water never does that unless something is wrong?.Twilight said "I am going to go for a walk to that waterfall nearby be back soon" she began to walk outside.Cameron had a gut feeling that the cave will cave in.The rumble got louder and all the pony's, felt it Cameron panicked and screamed "DON'T GO OUT!" Twilight said "Why? is something happening?" .The rumbling made Boulder's and large rocks blocked there only exit,the rumbling made chunks of the roof fall down on the ponies.They began to scream, Cameron ran to help the pony's and help Fluttershy.But while trying to do that a boulder landed on his flank and he blanked out.They will have to Survive or die.
