Chapters “Sorry to trouble you with this Ardee.” Lyra said while concealed behind the changing room.
“Lucky for you I was around normally Rarity should be doing this,” You reply. “We’re also in luck that the drama department is open so I can use the sewing machine to fix the hole in your gym shorts.”
“I told Lyra not to overdo her stretching,” Bonbon said. “But she did not listen and then this happens.”
“What's done is done Bonbon, the important thing now is getting the hole patched up so both of you can get back to your PE class right away.” You said.
You’re almost done, until all three of you heard a gasp. You looked to the direction where it came from and saw Rarity just standing there with her mouth open. It came to your mind that a girl came to a guy to help get her shorts patch up seems awkward. You are now nervous that Rarity might gone into hysteria about the scenario.
“Ardee dear, what on earth are you doing?!” Rarity asked.
“Just fixing Lyra’s shorts because she overstretched it. But don’t worry, I already patched the hole up.” You turned off the sewing machine as you are done with sealing the hole on the shorts. Rarity approached you and checked the shorts to make sure you patched it up properly. “Also, I didn’t peek.” You blurt out which made her look at you with a raised eyebrow. This made you puck your lips and began sweating due to your nervousness. Then she shifted her attention to Bonbon and Lyra, who popped her head between the curtains and both nodded that you are saying the truth.
“You did a marvelous job, well done.” Rarity being impressed as she handed Lyra’s shorts to her.

It all started when you are in your freshman year at Canterlot High School. It was Sunday and you just came back from Canterlot Mall driving back in your SUV with the materials for your next costume projects. You are a costume designer also a cosplayer, attending conventions (mostly at Baltimare) was your gig, but the most that you love about this hobby of yours are your video logs and tutorials to aspiring costume designers out there.
You stopped by a stop light at an intersection. While patiently waiting for it to go green, you happen to spot Rarity for the first time, waiting with all those shopping bags for a ride. You were captivated by her beauty; long purple hair with pearl white skin, wearing a white sweater with a short purple skirt and a pair of purple knee-high boots that matches her outfit. What you are seeing is beauty beyond any normal girl you see. You drove your car near the sidewalk to where Rarity is standing since you heard on the radio that it will be raining soon, to offer her a ride.
“Excuse me.” You called out catching her attention as you stepped out from your car.
“Yes?” Rarity said.
“Looks like you got a lot of bags with you. I heard from the radio that it will be raining soon. Do you want me to give you a ride home?”
“That is very generous of you, but-” Before Rarity finishes both of you heard a slight rumbling sound. “Sure of course, thank you dear.”
You load each of her shopping bags at the back of your car and you allow Rarity to seat at the front seat next to you. Once your back in your car Rarity told you where she lives and both of you drove off.
“My goodness, how rude of me not to introduced myself after that nice thing you did, the name’s Rarity.”
“Nice to meet you Rarity. The name’s Ardee.”
Once you arrive, you see that her house was big with purple designs. No doubt she is from a wealthy family. As you brought all her shopping bags from your car to her house, both of you see that sky is starting to get dark and the rumbling noise grew louder. Your guess was correct. Rarity wants to reward you for dropping her home but you said you need to go before the rain start to pour.
Things got even better when you found out she also studies at Canterlot High. When you mention your hobby as a costume designer who also has a taste for fashion which piqued her interest after she mentions she is a fashionista, both of you became good friends. Both of your lives changed when all the recent events involve Equestrian magic started. You even admire her more when she gained the power to create diamond force fields when you were at Camp Everfree. I wasn’t long either that she also offered you to join an exclusive fashion club where she is the president and you gladly accepted to her delight.
Under all of this admiration you been keeping a secret from her. After everything that she and her friends, the Rainbooms went through involving Equestrian magic you felt sorry for her. You wanted to help but since you couldn’t do anything, you only watched as she and her friends had to go through all of this. You swore that you will keep on supporting her and her friends. Also keeping this a secret to avoid adding more problems that someday you will return the favor.

“Thanks again Ardee! I owe you one.” Lyra said as she and Bonbon return to their PE class.
You were getting your things and you notice Rarity expression is not quite on the happy side.
“You do know, I am quite upset about what you did.” Rarity said in a not so happy tone which made your pupils shrink, still thinking you just did the right thing since she was not available.
“What am I supposed to do!?” You said in a panicked tone. “She needed to get her shorts patched up and you were not available.”
“You may have a point there.” Rarity said as both of you exited the drama department. “I do apologize for raising my voice at you earlier but you should know there are some people who still value modesty.”
“It’s okay, we are by the way both in the same profession. Trust me, Bonbon was also there and I swear I would never do anything to violate a woman.” You reassure her which Rarity knows that you are telling the truth.
Both of you headed to your lockers, which are just next to each other to get the rest of your things to meet up with the rest of the Rainbooms. Out of the blue you brought up a topic that keeps on bothering you recently.
“I was meaning to ask your reputation around here being CHS “Queen of Chic” also one of the most popular girls in CHS not just to the boys but also to the girls. Do you even have a boyfriend?” You asked as you closed your locker after getting the rest of your things.
“To be honest no, not at the moment.” Rarity then heard a noise and look towards your direction to find out you slammed your forehead at your locker. “Ardee darling, are you alright!?”
“Seriously...as in SERIOUSLY?!” You said in a loud tone which attracted the attention of other students. “I mean after everything that happened all we have been through and no one has even bothered dating you yet, I just can’t believe it.”
“Ardee, I know how you are concern about me, and that I am very grateful.” Rarity explained which she does have a point. “But you should know it is very rude if you overdo it.”
“I know...I know. It's just...you are already popular around here, gorgeous, and a very nice person. What about that Raggamuffin guy you met back at the cruise ship. I saw that you grew a liking to him. But in the end, I saw that he just walked out on you. I swear if I ever see him again and find out that he did something you didn’t like, GAH!” You recalled what happened that Rarity was heart-broken. You start to ball-up your fist as Rarity notice that you are becoming upset. But you slowly calm yourself down as you take deep breaths while still not looking directly at her. “You know that the more concern I become, the more that I care. You deserve more of this Rarity, nothing less.”
Rarity was in awe on how you really feel that no matter how big or small the problem you are worried not just for her but all of your friends as well.
“About that last part you mentioned, I don’t think he was interested in me and-” Before Rarity could finish, she sees your expression showing all the signs of concern. With you still not looking at her, she placed her hand on your arm and when you turned your head, you see her eyes showing that she understands how you feel. “You don’t have to worry about me, I will be fine.”
You were about to respond until she wrapped her arms around you and gave you a warm hug which you returned; this is one of the reasons why you have feelings for her (even though sometimes a bit dramatic and flirty) being a decent person. The hug lasted for a while until you realized that there are two soft things pressing on you.
“Uh, Rarity? Not to sound like a perv but your things are...touching me and... making me a bit uncomfortable.” You pointed to where her boobs that are contained under her designed peplum top are still pinned to your chest.
“Oh, how rude of me dear. I really do apologize.” Rarity said as she broke the hug.
Before both of you could meet up with the others, you said to Rarity you forgot something back at the drama department and rushed back. After a few minutes you returned and both of you headed your way.
“Ardee darling, may I ask what was important that you forgot back there?” Rarity asked. You reached your hand into the right pocket of your pants. When your hand came out with the thing you forgot, this made Rarity’s eyes go wide. “Is that the sapphire pendant I gave you?”
“The same one when I accompanied you to buy some fabrics one day. When you also found out it was also my birthday on that same day you bought this in return as a thank you for going with you. I never leave without it.” You said as you wore it on your neck.
“Aww! Ardee. I can’t believe you always wear the gift I gave you.” Rarity said flattered that you wore her gift and both of you head your way to meet with the others.

It was now evening you are at your house and you just finished eating dinner. Just as you were going to your room your housekeeper notice on your expression right now.
“Are you okay sir?” She asked in a concerned tone.
“I am okay just tired,” You replied but your housekeeper knew something was on your mind.
“If there is anything you need or something that bothers you, don’t hesitate to approach me or your sister about this while the Mr. and Ms. Are away on their business trip.”
“Thank you and goodnight.” You reply as you head upstairs to your room.
As you reached your bedroom you slumped down on your desk chair still cannot get that topic out of your head. “You don’t deserve this Rarity; you deserve more than this. Damn it !” You said in your thoughts still depressed as you laid your head on your desk table. As you slammed your fist you heard some sort of cracking noise, as you raised your head you saw in your right hand a flower. You swore you weren’t holding anything and you were shocked that under your right hand the desk is starting to freeze. You backed away quickly and dropped the flower still processing what is going on.
“Sir, is everything alright?” Your housekeeper called as she may have heard the noise.
“Uh, I ‘m okay. I just slipped when I stepped on the mat but everything is fine,” You said.
After a few deep breaths you calmed down. Still afraid you slowly approached the flower that’s near your desk and picked it up.
“A rose, made out of ice? This is something. ” You thought while inspecting the flower. You did not realize just now that the pendant Rarity gave you started to glow. You swore that that pendant never done this. You are starting to have second thoughts if your glowing pendant and the rose you held are related to one thing. “Could this be what I think it is ?”
The next morning after that very odd night, it was Saturday. You woke up from bed still groggy as you head to the bathroom to wash yourself up.
“Did all of that just happened, was it a dream ?” You thought to yourself of what happened last night. After you’re done with your shower, you headed back to your room and got dressed. You grabbed your pendant that you left on your desk and observed it again. You raised your right hand as you held your pendant on the other to see if you can do it again. After a few seconds of concentration, picturing the image in your mind you created a replica of Rarity’s sapphire pin.

Flashback
After you and Rarity left the drama department the other day, you accidentally forgot your pendant and returned for it. What you didn’t realize when you left it behind Equestrian magic has enchanted your pendant. After its glowing effect wore off you arrived at the drama department to reclaim it as if nothing happened.

An hour passed by and still no reply from the girls after you finished your breakfast. Since you have nothing to do around here and no recent costume order request, you decided to go out to meet Rarity at Carousel Boutique. You thought that she may be there working right now which is the reason why she did not answer yet. A reason why you sometimes go there is that you give her a hand if she received numerous orders from customers that she can’t handle alone.
After you got changed from your house clothes you told your sister and your housekeeper that you will be going to Carousel Boutique. You are now outside your house, before you could enter your SUV then send a message to Rarity if in case you are not here you will be waiting at the boutique, a limo stopped at the front of your house.
"This limo, is this -?" You thought as you approach it and before you could even guess whose limo is this, the door opened with Rarity inside stating that this is her family’s. Just as you’re going to say a word, she quickly grabbed your hand, yanked you in and then she gave the order to the driver to drive them to Twilight’s house.
“I do apologize Ardee if I pulled you in just like that. I did get your message about the pendant I gave you that it started to glow all of a sudden,” Rarity said.
“Why are we headed to Twilight’s house?” You asked.
“Ardee, it’s not just you who have Equestrian magic.”
“Wait, What?!”

As both of you arrived at Twilight’s house, what Rarity said was true. It isn't just you but 6 other guys who studies at CHS who were also close friends with the Rainbooms also suffered the same thing. After running some tests, its confimed that the items the seven of you each possess has been enchanted with Equestrian magic. Each one carries a different type of magic; the results show that the power in your pendant gave you the ability to control ice magic.
“So, how bad is it Twilight, are these fellas gonna be okay?” Applejack asked.
“Apparently it’s not as bad as it seems. Just like what happened to us before when we got ours at Camp Everfree. As long as these guys keep their powers to a minimum and start practicing using them, everything will turn out fine,” Twilight explained. It wasn't long until some of the guys started to react to this situation.
“B-b-but you sure it’s good idea to leave things like this. What if we end up losing control? A-a-and the worst!”
“Relax, you are always in a panic when things are about to go wrong. Like a saying that goes, Stay positive in every situation and everything you do, never stop trying, have faith don’t stop due to failure .”
“Easy for you to say!”
“Alright, all of you be quiet. Since the girls encountered more of this than we do, we’ll let them do the decision here.” You said as they piped down. All of you waited until all seven of the girls made a final decision.
“Okay since there are seven of you, each one of us will keep an eye on one of you,” Sunset stated. “If any of you feel anything strange you need to tell us right away.”
You seem anxious about this but all of you agreed to this. After that all of you head your separate ways. Rarity asked if you are available to accompany for some fabric shopping. You offered to assist since you have nothing to do for the day which she was delighted to your response. But while you guys are on your way to Canterlot Mall still in her family’s limo, Rarity is concerned about how you’re are still bothered of your situation.
“Is everything alright dear?” Rarity asked in a concerned tone. “Remember what Twilight and Sunset said as long as you control them and with a little bit of practice you will be a pro in no time.”
“Thanks, I guess,” You said but still uneasy about this. Without thinking when you start to imagine that ice rose you created yesterday, you ended up forming it again as you held it in your right hand. While looking at the flower you did not realize that Rarity scooted over, this made you jump as she is now near you.
“You know, that rose you just made is simply fascinating. You don’t mind if I hold it.” Rarity asked as you handed her the flower. As she observes the creation you made you decided to show her another thing. You reached out into your bag and also showed her the replica of her sapphire pin you created. “You also manage to create a replica of my pin!?”
Now Rarity is truly amazed about what you can do since you just got your powers yesterday. After some time on observing both the flower and the pin she returned her gaze to you. You see that her eyes are now lidded and she is showing her signature flirty grin. You have thoughts that she is plotting something but you kept quiet for now and hear what she has to say.
“You see as Twilight mentioned for each one of us to keep an eye on each one of you, I’ll be much obliged to teach what I know. But after seeing what you just did,” Rarity said. Then she slowly leans over to you, now her face are now inches near yours. “I think I may learn more from you.”
“Okay now this escalated a lot quicker than I expected.” You thought as both of you head to Canterlot Mall.

A week has passed and it’s the weekends again and you are at CHS, but your purpose there is to use the soccer field for practicing your powers. Since the Equestrian magic you got is almost similar to Rarity’s you don’t mind if she is sometimes late to help you or that she couldn’t come. Today Rarity is there observing you at the bleachers while she is looking in her little mirror while applying makeup.
“Okay, here we go. Don’t mess it up.” You said to yourself as you slowly raised your right hand and a after bit of concentration your pendant started to glow. Then you quickly slammed your hand to the ground and the entire soccer field became frozen in ice, turning the entire field into an ice rink.
“Oh my stars, what have you done?! Rarity said in shocked as she approaches you and the frozen field.
“Well since I know my powers and yours are somewhat similar and I basically mimic on how you used yours. I decided to think outside the box and did more research of this.” You explained to her. Then you have thought of an idea, since the previous days when you create something they can easily break and now is the time to test it again. You first sat down on the bleachers and removed you shoes to which Rarity questions. After some concentration you formed ice skates and decide to test their durability if your powers are improving.
“Ardee, darling I don’t think it’s safe to do that.” Rarity said as you slowly approached the field while keeping your balance because of the skates.
As the skates you wore made contact with the field you started to skate. You took it slow and steady just to avoid any accidents. You are relieved that the skates didn’t break. Rarity was amazed on how much you improved since the day she observed on how you control it. You offer your hand to her inviting her to join in.
“Well, if you insist.” Rarity said as you instructed her to sit at the bleachers first then to take of her heels. After she removed both of them, like what you did to yours after some concentration Rarity is now wearing ice skates. You supported her as she slowly keeps her balance. As she stepped on the rink both of you started skating. You held on to her to avoid her from falling but she told you to let her go. Doing as she says you let go of her hand and what you saw was all worth it. You thought she might lose her balance but instead you saw her skate like a pro and after she ended her performance with style this left you with your mouth open being awestruck. “Thank you Ardee, I really enjoyed this.”
“Rarity, whatever you just did was so fuck...I-I mean freaking amazing,” You said still astonished on what you saw. “How and since when?”
“Do you remember that I took part during the speed skating portion of the Tri-Cross Relay of the previous Friendship games, it’s just the same as ice skating. Also, I just want to let you know that there are things rather than fashion that I also excel at.” Rarity said as she skate passes you giving you a wink with a smile. This made you blush and looked away. Rarity giggled to your reaction as she approaches you. “I do apologize Ardee, you don’t mind if I tease you a little.”
“It’s okay Rarity, I don’t mind.” You said still with that blush on your face. “Thanks also for sticking around, I happen to let you know that I am getting used with these powers. I don’t think I am bothering you with your work, am I?
“Oh, not at all. I really don’t mind. In fact, it’s still a little bit early to open up the boutique. Also, it’s a good idea to practice during the weekends, not after what happened the other day with Fluttershy.”
“Point taken there. Since Rainbow Dash and the soccer team used the field for practice, we had to use the parking lot. Since I never wield a bow and arrow before, I end up missing the target and it nearly hit Fluttershy who was just sitting at the bleachers. Rainbow Dash noticed it and became upset with me.”
“Well, she is her childhood friend, but I know you didn’t mean to do that.”
“But again, thanks for helping me straighten out with her.” You said as both of you skated to the bleachers.
“It was nothing dear. After all we are friends and friends look out for each other,” Rarity said. As both of you reached the bleachers Rarity asked what time it is on your watch. When you showed her the time, she explained that it’s almost time to open the boutique and both of you start packing your belongings. “Uh Ardee, before we leave how are you going to fix this?” She pointed to the field which is still frozen.
“I got this.” You said as you raised your hand. After a single swipe through the air, all the ice covering the field plus the ice skates both of you are wearing vanish. “Guess all of that practice was worth it after all.”
“My stars!” Rarity said being astonished on how much your powers improved in just a week. “I guess there is really nothing I can teach you anymore, you’ve outstood me dear.”
“Come on Rarity, we know you are still better than me. Besides you got yours first long time ago, mine just a few days ago.” You protested proving that you're not a showoff.
“Oh, you are so modest. Now we better hurry along we need to set things up before we open up the boutique.”
Both of you are now heading to the parking lot to your SUV. All of a sudden you felt a cold feeling through your spine that made you shiver. You wondered why you felt that but you shrug it off as both of you entered your car and drove off to Carousel Boutique.
After the weekends went by it was now a Monday. You and Rarity are going to meet up with the rest of the Rainbooms and the other guys at the music room after all of you are done with your classes. This is to show the results on how each of you boys handled each power within the last few days.
Later at the Music Room you and Rarity are with the rest of the Rainbooms and the rest of the guys. Each of you are discussing on how each one got used to their Equestrian magic. You and Rarity are the last ones to explain how things went.
“So, Rarity how did Ardee do with his powers?” Twilight and the others now waiting on both of your response.
“You wouldn’t believe how much he outstood me girls. I thought since this is his first time, he might not get used to it. But it looks like he handled it all like it was nothing.” You just let Rarity finish explaining to all of them how you did. Not until all of their attentions are directed to you to hear your part.
“I just only mimic what Rarity could do. The others I learned them on my own.” You finish explaining your part. “Also, I have one thing we need to discuss about. I have to disagree about being relaxed about this. Even though all of us got used with our powers, it’s still best if we still try to keep them to a minimum and still tell this to the girls if any of us felt anything strange.”
“Ugh, seriously? I mean you guys have pretty got used to it already.” Rainbow Dash unamused about what you said.
“Umm, I don’t see anything wrong with that. I mean...he is just concerned for all of us.” Fluttershy stated.
“Look I know I may have ruined the mood but it’s better to play safe than be sorry about this. We don’t want to let things happen like what we recently encountered. You all know what I mean. Let’s not give the girls any more trouble.” You added until one of the guys agreed, followed by the rest.
“You do have a point there. We may have gotten a bit too confident.”
“So, its final we go back to what we normally do and if any one of you boys felt anything weird, approach us right away. Same thing as usual.” Sunset said which ended the group meeting.
Even though the meeting ended with an agreement you still feel unease about this. Since you do not want this to be troublesome not just to Rarity but also to the rest of the Rainbooms you kept your cool in the end.

Several days have passed and everything went fine. You continue with what you normally do: Getting costume orders done for clients, helping out with Rarity at the boutique, or even hanging out with her and the rest of the Rainbooms with the other guys. You didn’t feel anything strange with your powers, same with the other boys like what you all agreed to. But Rarity could feel the uneasiness deep within you on how worried you were even though you didn’t show signs of it.
After another busy day at Carousel Boutique, you helped Rarity closed up shop. Before both of you could enter your car to drop her home, Rarity couldn’t take it anymore and had the urge to check on you.
“Ardee may I ask something?” Rarity said.
You turned around before you could open the passenger’s seat to your car. You are now “all ears” to answer her question. When you face her, you see her expression that shows signs of concern.
“Is everything alright dear?” Rarity asked.
“What are you talking about Rarity? I’m fine.” You reply.
“You do know that is not true. Please Ardee, tell me what is bothering you.” Rarity didn’t hold back and really want to know what is going on. "Could it be because of the Equestrian Magic you boys have?"
Since there is no way to avoid it, you sigh in defeat and explained her what is going on in your mind. “This Equestrian magic that keeps happening causing all of these events and also being misused for bad intentions. All the people we encountered before and everything happened, that is the part that keeps bothering me.” Rarity didn’t change her expression and just kept on listening. “There is this movie I watched with this line that all of us know: With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility . The part that this Equestrian magic that may have a chance to corrupt the mind of a person that is what I am worried about. Rarity I want...I need you to promise me one thing.”
“Anything Ardee,” Rarity said until you reached out to both of her hands which made her surprised and blushed on your sudden action. But it all change when she sees how serious you are looking at her right now and your eyes started to water.
“If in case me or one of the other boys lose ourselves because of our powers, I need you and the girls to do everything what you can to stop us. Also, my reason if in case I lose control will never be of any bad intention but out of fear and worry. Reason out with me first but if it didn’t work then I give you my permission that you use your powers to stop me. Do not let anyone get hurt. Promise me this, Rarity.” You said.
“Ardee,” Rarity still hasn’t changed her expression. You wonder if what you said may be a bit too much for her to hear. Before you could doubt more, you see that Rarity started to tear up also giving you a caring smile. “Of course, everything will be fine you don’t have to worry. We will not anything happen to you and the other boys. That I promise Ardee.”
“Thank you so much Rarity. Believe me, after all the good things you and the other girls have done you will get something in return, that I assure you.” You gave Rarity a warm hug showing her your thanks for letting out all of your problems.
“There is no need for that. After I will always be there for you and our friends.” You felt her returning your hug as she wrapped her arms around you.
After a few minutes you and Rarity separate as both of you entered your SUV as you drove her home.

As both you arrived at the front of her house you dropped her off to the front door. Before you leave Rarity stopped you because she needs to tell you something.
“Ardee, you know after being so nice not just to my friends but also to me as well, I want to return the favor.” Rarity said.
“There is really no-” Before you could finish Rarity gave you a sweet kiss to the cheek. Never before you receive a kiss from a girl before. This left you standing there speechless which made Rarity giggled because of your reaction.
You head to your car as you said goodnight to her. Because you are moving backwards and on how distracted you where because of the kiss, when you turned around you hit your car. You can still hear her giggling but you gave her a thumbs up that you are okay. You entered your car and drove off home.

Back at your house you are at your room still recapping all the good things that happen today. When you housekeeper entered your room with your drink, she sees how happy you are and want to know what’s going on in your mind.
“Someone seems happy today.” Your housekeeper placed your drink on your desk.
“Well, my relationship with Rarity is progressing little by little.” You said as you take a sip to your drink.
“I wish you good luck sir.” Your housekeeper said until she heard the phone ringing and excused herself to get it.
“Hello Sweetie Belle, you need something?” You asked.
“It’s not me Ardee, mom and dad will be the one speaking to you. Let me just set it to speaker phone.” Sweetie Belle set the phone to speaker. It wasn’t long until you heard both the parents, Mr. Hondo Flanks and Ms. Cookie Crumbles on the other line.
“Mr. Flanks, Ms. Crumbles good evening, you want to speak to me about something?”
“Good evening to you also Ardee,” Mr. Flanks spoke first. “We want to let you know on how thankful we are that you are a good friend to our daughter Rarity. We know she has friends but you are one of them who is very close to her, who also has the same passion as she does.”
“Why your welcome and it’s no big deal.”
“To be honest it is. There are times she mostly talks about you on how you help her at the boutique whenever you have free time and whenever she feels stress out. Even Sweetie Belle grew a liking to you,” Ms. Crumbles spoke next. “You know me and my husband will be leaving to celebrate our honeymoon soon. Could you be a good dear and keep an eye on both Rarity and Sweetie Belle while we are away, if you don’t mind?”
“Sure, of course.” You gladly accepted her offer. While you are going to take a sip to your drink, you hear that she is about to say something else.
“One last thing Ardee. Me and my husband took time to talk about this. After being so nice to both of our children, if in case you want to start a relationship with our daughter Rarity, we are giving you our permission to court her.”
You spew what you were drinking after what you heard. You never expected them to give their go signal for you to date Rarity. What they said raise you spirit that gave you a high chance that Rarity will go out with. “Mr. Flanks...Ms. Crumbles, thank you so much for you blessing. Promise, you will not regret choosing me to be with your daughter.” You assured them.
“Don’t worry about our conversation Rarity is already in bed after a busy day at the boutique. So, what we talk about is just kept between the three of us. Ardee, thanks again for being there for our daughter.”
After you thanked them again all three of you said your good nights and you put the phone down. You found out that your housekeeper was eavesdropping on your conversation.
“I knew you will have a chance with her, good luck sir.” She said.
“Thanks. Now once you are done with what you are doing, you can take your rest.” You said as you finish gulping your drink and gave her your glass.
You head to your room thinking of all the things that happen today, that it could get even better than this. Once in your room before you head to bed you approached your calendar Like I said after all the good things that you and the girls did, you will definitely get something in return . You said in your thoughts after you marked your calendar, a day you will celebrate with her.

Keeping your Promise Part 1
You are still sound asleep in your room. As soon as your alarm clock rings quickly turned it off and got out of bed because today is a very special day not for, but for Rarity and all women, International Women’s Day.
Yesterday you are at home because Rarity can handle the boutique, for she has only a few orders. After you are done with another costume order for one of your clients you had an idea. You quickly grabbed your cellphone and called her. While it’s still ringing you used your powers that made your pendant glow. In your left hand you made an ice sculpture, a miniature version of Rarity. The soon she picked up the phone you offer to treat her out the next day for all the good things she and the Rainbooms have done, that tomorrow will be a day all about her. Rarity squeal in excitement and was delighted to accept your offer.
After you are done eating your breakfast you quickly went to the bathroom to take your shower. A few minutes in the bathroom you went straight to your room while wearing your bathrobe to pick something nice to wear for your date. While still busy searching for something to wear, your sister entered your room.
“Hey sis, since I will be out do you want or need anything to celebrate later?” You asked. “Besides your job as a lawyer is pretty stressful.”
“Sorry little bro, I got work today in the office. There is no need though but thanks.” She said as she offers assistance to help you find something nice to wear for your date with Rarity, which you gladly accept her assistance.
After you finish dressing up you head downstairs. Before you went straight for the door you saw your housekeeper and you asked if she wants anything that you will buy for her. She says there is no need to buy her anything. Since she has been a tremendous help on being your family’s housekeeper, you thought of another idea “Once you are done with one of your chores you may take the rest of the day off.” You said as a way of thanking her for being your family’s housekeeper. She thanked you for that as you head out the door. Before you enter your car, you realize you forgot your phone back in your room and went back in the house to get it.
You retrieve your phone and also decided to bring the mini-ice sculpture of Rarity with you. You also made a list on what you and Rarity will do for the rest of the day and placed it in your pocket. Just as you are about to exit your room your phone vibrates. You checked and see that it’s a video call from one of the boys and you answered it.
“Ardee you need to get to CHS right now, the girls are in trouble!” He said on the other line in a state of panic.
You asked what was going on and as he turned his phone to view Rarity and the Rainbooms, you were got so fearful on what you saw. You see that the Rainbooms are dealing with a giant robot that is causing a rampage at the gymnasium. Based on the robot’s design you recognized it belongs to Micro Chips.
“I need to call the others, just get here quick!”
After the video call ended all the happiness inside your head has disappeared after what you saw. You rushed out of the house and got in your SUV and drove off to Canterlot High. “Please be okay .” You keep on saying inside your head until all that’s inside it, are being replaced by anger. “Rarity, you...and the girls...have suffered enough...for the very last time. That robot, Micro Chips what were you even thinking?”

You arrived at Canterlot High as you parked your car in the parking lot. You hear a commotion at the soccer field. When you arrive you see Rarity and the girls have stopped the robot and it looks like a large hole on the school building. You are relieve to see them safe and it looks like they haven't transformed back yet and why is Flash Sentry and the some of the boys with them. But when you see Micro Chips standing in front of his damaged robot your expression change as you approach him without them knowing you are here.
"Micro Chips," You approach and stood next to him while observing the machine. "So this robot of yours cause all of this?"
"Yes, but I just cannot figure out what went wrong?" Micro Chips said. "It was doing fine awhile ago but then, this happen."
"I wonder why?"
Just then, Micro Chips notice your left hand is starting to freeze. "Uh, Ardee is your hand okay?" He asked. You took a quick look on your left hand and gave him a quick nod. "I think we should tell the girls." Just as he is about to call them you made your move which ended their celebration.
"Uh, girls we got another problem!" Flash Sentry pointed to where you and Micro Chips are which made the girls turn around to see what he meant. Rarity and the girls were horrified on what they saw. You grabbed Micro Chips by neck, choking him while leaning on his robot. They see that your left arm is being turned into ice and your eyes are glowing.
“I will never forgive you after what you and your machine has done.” You said as you continue to choke your victim. Micro Chips pleads for you to forgive him that he didn’t mean all of this to happen and for him to explain. It wasn’t long until you heard Rarity’s voice and the other girls but you didn’t change your gaze as they approach you.
“Ardee dear, what are you doing? Please stop!" Rarity pleads.
"I swear...I didn't mean all of this to happen...I am telling the truth." Micro Chips pleads. But instead of listening to his request you did the opposite by slowly tightening your grip on his neck.
"Ardee, whatever you are thinking right now you may have gotten the wrong idea. So how about you put Micro Chips down and let us talk about this." Sunset reasons out with you. Instead of responding you let your actions do the work. Rarity and the girls see that you are forming something in your right hand. Once complete this made the girls more anxious that you formed an ice sword that you are not joking around. “Ardee, don’t do it!” Sunset warned you again but you’re still not listening.
“There won’t be any second chances for him,” You said as you point your blade at him. “My face will be the last thing his pathetic eyes will ever see.”
Before you could land the hit, you did not realize that Flash Sentry and Sandalwood sneaked up behind you. They quickly grabbed both of your arms which made you let go of Micro Chips. You groan as you try to struggle to free yourself, but both kept his grip on you. Just as Rarity and the others try to approach you because of your rage you easily fling Flash Sentry and Sandalwood which made them lose your grip on you. After freeing yourself you see that Micro Chips is not there. You searched around and saw that Twilight is accompanying him back into the school.
“GET BACK HERE!” You quickly grabbed your ice sword and began to pursue them as some of the girls tend to Flash Sentry and Sandalwood.
“Twilight, look out!” Applejack warned both of them.
You are about to hit your target this time, but your attempt failed when Rarity confront you and blocked your attack with her powers. The time your ice sword collided with Rarity’s diamond force-shield as you stare daggers at her. But all your anger died as you see the concern in her eyes. “No, I can’t do it.” You said in your thoughts as you quickly backed away. Rarity notice your sudden change of expression when you looked at her straight in her eyes then quickly back away from her as her friends quickly backed her up blocking your way.
"Girls wait. Let me be the one to talk to Ardee. I think he will listen to me." Rarity explained to the girls as she approaches you while you kept your distance. Before she could say a word, the other guys showed up (two are missing though) who are also shocked to see what’s happening.
"The one who cause all of this is right over there." You point to the direction where Micro Chips was. All the guys follow where your pointing at. By the time they saw Micro Chips their expressions change.
"I can't believe he cause all of this."
"The son of a bitch!"
"Take him out!"
Things became bad to worse when each of them unleash their powers showing the same motive as yours. Even under all that anger, you are starting to have mix feelings inside your head as you see Rarity and the Rainbooms now have an even bigger problem. The girls stood their ground as none of you guys made a move. This did not last long until one of the guys charged straight to them followed by the rest as you see that Twilight quickly lead Micro Chips back into the building.
“She is not the one you’re after, leave her out of this!” You said.
But what you did made Rarity lose her focus as the diamond barrier vanished giving the chance for the guys to pursue Micro Chips. You then left Rarity there on the ground as you went a different direction.
Keeping your Promise Part 2
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. After all the commotion you and the boys did because of a misunderstanding, in the end after hearing each of your reasons, the girls with Principal Celestia and the rest of Canterlot High has forgiven all seven of you. But it didn’t change the fact that you are still guilty that nearly hurt someone.
The next day at CHS everything went back to normal that the Rainbooms and you guys are making plans to raise money for the damage done. Rarity is notice you haven’t arrived since your first class is with her until the bell rings that everyone went to their seats when Ms. Cherilee enters the room.
“Good morning everyone,” Ms. Cherilee said. “Ms. Rarity I need to excuse you from the class it’s about Ardee, your friend. You may want to check on him.”
“W-what happen, is he alright and where is he?” Rarity stood up from her seat after what she heard.
“Well...”

Meanwhile you are there at the bleachers still upset on that horrible thing you just did yesterday. You assaulted not just Micro Chips but also your other friends as well. You then looked at your pendant and took it off. “This has cause nothing but trouble.” You couldn’t get rid of it since it was a gift from Rarity. With all of this in your head you lay down on the bleachers while holding your pendant while you cover your eyes with your other arm. After a while of feeling upset you heard footsteps that someone is approaching you but you didn’t care and just continue to lay there.
“Ardee?”
You easily recognize that voice. As you remove your arm you see Rarity just standing there worried. Still feeling ashamed you looked away from her.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in class right now?” You said.
“You do know that is supposed to be my line.” Rarity said as she sat next to you. “Are you still upset?”
“Yes, after what I did right in front of our friends, I just couldn’t forgive myself. But the worst part if you hadn’t used your powers to block my attack you wouldn’t have been...” You didn’t continue as you try to hold your tears. Then you felt Rarity’s hand caress your head.
“Don’t be guilty Ardee. I know you didn’t want this to happen either, but you held yourself back.”
“All I ever want is to protect you in return. But it looks like we did the opposite.”
“But Ardee you did protect me. While I shielded our friends, you came back and prevented me from being harmed. Under all that anger of yours, I knew that there is still a side you want to protect. It’s okay now.” Rarity said as she thought of another idea. “You know if it makes you happy, since I have nothing to do after class maybe you can treat me out later.”
“Are you sure? I am not forcing you if you don’t want to.” You asked her after hearing it which raise your spirit a bit as you sat up. “Besides seeing you smile is more than enough for me.”
Rarity was touched on the words you just said. “I insist, since it’s not too late yet.” Rarity said as she earned a small smile from you as you held her hand. “Well, we better get back to class. Ms Cherilee and others seem to be worried already.”
“Not to sound selfish. How about while we take a break during our date later, maybe we can think of something to raise money for the school.”
“That’s a wonderful idea Ardee.” Rarity said as you wore your pendant. Both of you stood up and head back inside.

Later after your last class for the day, you and Rarity planned to meet each other at the door to the parking lot. You arrived first but she wasn’t there yet you and patiently waited for her. It wasn’t long you see her as she approaches you.
“I am so sorry; Rainbow Dash wants all of us to meet at the Music Room but I told her both of us have other plans but it also involves raising money for the school. I did not keep you waiting, didn’t I? Rarity asked.
“No, you didn’t. At least it’s better than keeping a girl waiting.” You said which may have a point.
“Such a gentleman.” Rarity said as she clings to your arm as both exited the building and approached your SUV. “So, where are we going? She asked while looking at you.
“Since the summer season is almost near, there is a sale at Canterlot Mall. Maybe there is something that might interest you to buy or maybe an idea for a design this coming season, either way.” You said. “Since I planned and save money for this supposed be special day yesterday, which I messed it all up, the expenses are on me.”
“That is so sweet of you. But you really don’t have to, besides if there is something you are interested, I will be much obliged to pay for it for you.” Rarity suddenly had an idea to tease you a little. “Ardee dear, when you said there is a sale which may involves clothing, you are not thinking of me in a bikini, are you? You are such a naughty boy.”
“What?! No, no, no, no I would never. Why in the world would ask something like that! You protested as your face became all red while Rarity tries to hold her laughter because of your reaction. After you are relieved from your embarrassment you let Rarity entered through the passenger seat first. You head right away to the driver’s seat, started your car as both of you went straight for Canterlot Mall.

The ride didn’t take that long as both of you arrived at Canterlot Mall. It all starts when your eyes caught on a white sun dress with purple frills with a matching sun hat that is on display in one of the stores. Rarity giggled on how you reacted when she tried on the dress and when the store clerk also offered a white umbrella and sandals with it, you quickly asked for the price and bought her the entire package.
A few hours past both of you head to different clothing stores to try some outfits which can be some good references for ideas Rarity’s design this coming season, going to the fabric shop it’s also on sale, even teasing you to go with her into a lingerie store for your opinion on the undergarment she chooses. Both of you also noticed that a smoothie stand ran out of ice, you had an idea. While Rarity distracted the one running it you used the power of your pendant from a distance to fill the thermo-chest that he left open. When he turned around, he was surprised to see the chest was full. When Rarity came back, she explained to him he may be overworking that is why he starts to see stuff and was flattered on that nice thing you did for him.
After sometime later both of you got exhausted and took a seat at a nearby bench with the shopping bags you are carrying to take a short rest. It wasn’t long Rarity’s stomach grumbles which made the fashionista’s cheeks a little red.
“I do know a café that is nearby, it’s not as famous as Sugarcube Corner but I normally go there when I need some alone time on designing my costume orders.” You told Rarity to wait here while you put all the shopping bags in your car. After a few minutes you came back for Rarity and head to the place you're talking about.
Both of you exited Canterlot Mall and across it was the café you mentioned. It was a white building with purple designs with hanging potted plants which Rarity easily recognize the place as she reads the sign “Cinnamon Chai’s Tea & Cake Shop”.
“So, this the place you are talking about. I already heard of this place and one of their famous cakes is a chocolate cherry cake with custard feeling and buttercream frosting rosettes. Their cakes here are simply delicious, but please don’t tell Pinkie Pie.” Rarity said as you zipped your mouth to keep this quiet as both of you enter the place.
“Welcome.” Ms. Cinnamon Chai quickly recognized you as walk in while waiting behind the counter. “Oh, Mr. Ardee it’s you. I was wondering how come you didn’t show up yesterday. Did something happen?”
To avoid complicating things you explained that there had been a commotion yesterday at CHS you need to take care of that you don’t want to recall it again. But still promise to treat out Rarity today while think of plans for a fund raiser.
“I see.” Ms. Chai said as she switches her gaze to the lady who’s with you. “So, you must be the gorgeous lady Ardee told me about, its Rarity isn’t? Well, both of you take your time to look at the menu and just tell me whenever you’re ready to take your orders.”
You and Rarity took your time to look through the menu. After a moment both of you placed your orders. Rarity ordered a strawberry shortcake while you ordered a tiramisu. You said that you will take care of the drinks which is not on the menu. Rarity looks for a place for both of you will seat while you head to the kitchen since you asked permission from Ms. Chai about this. After a few minutes you came back with the tray of your food and drinks.
“May I ask Ardee, what kind of drink is this? Rarity asked.
“This is a special banana cocktail I made for both of us.” You said but Rarity gave you a concerned look instead after hearing this.
“I do appreciate the drink darling, but you do know we are not in the appropriate age to drink alcohol yet.”
“Don’t worry there is no alcohol in it. The benefit it can help you relieve from exhaustion.” You reassured her as she takes another look at the drink. Rarity earned your trust as she took a sip of the drink. You love the reaction as Rarity became relaxed after taking a sip from it. While both of you are enjoying your food, you and Rarity thought of ideas for a fund raiser.
“Still no idea what to think for a fund raiser. Any luck on your end?” Rarity asked.
“No order request on my end. But there is a competition I can participate to win the money but it’s at Baltimare. If I can ask permission from Principal Celestia-” Before you could finish Rarity interrupted you.
“Oh no, no, no, we don’t want to trouble you just to go there to earn the money. Let’s think of another way.” Rarity said. You respected her decision as you browse your phone. Then Rarity brought up a different topic. “Ardee, I am meaning to ask. You planned all of this but there is something you want to ask me about.” Rarity gave her signature flirty smile as she moved her chair closer that she is now beside you. Then you feel she Rarity’s hand caress yours. “Let me give you the answer to your question.”
All of a sudden Rarity leans in and press her lips to yours as she squeezes your hand gently. Your eyes shot up of what is happening now until she slowly breaks the kiss. Before you could speak, she places her finger to your mouth as she uses her other hand to reach in in her purse. In her other hand is a small paper but as it unfolds it is revealed to be your date plan with Rarity.
“How?” You asked.
“I saw you reading it also holding something after the commotion yesterday before going home and you threw it away in the garbage bin. But don’t be disappointed that I just played along, it was very thoughtful of you to plan this entire day just for me. Thanks also for the mini-ice sculpture.” Rarity continued to hold your hand in a caring way. “Besides I just want to admit that on the day when you became concern on why I am still single, that is when I started to develop feelings for you Ardee.”
The date almost went according to plan. But you didn’t show signs of disappointment but you returned her feelings when you placed your other hand on hers.
“All this time I was worried that I couldn’t repay all the good things you done. When I got my powers, this has left a cold feeling inside me that I may have gave you more trouble. But instead, Rarity you’re that warm feeling that melted the coldness within me. You kept your promise to reason out with me without using your powers. Like I said you deserve more, nothing less. Also, I am more than happy to be your boyfriend.” You said.
After hearing those touching words, you see that Rarity is trying to hold her tears in. Now being her boyfriend, you pulled her in a warm hug, offering your shoulder for her to cry on. Without holding it much longer Rarity starts bawling her eyes out as she cries on your shoulder while you comfort her. It wasn’t long you felt a tap to your shoulder. When you look who it was which Rarity follows, both of you see Ms. Cinnamon Chai as she places a box of tissue on the table for Rarity to use to wipe her mascara-stained eyes.
“Thank you darling.” Rarity thanked Ms. Chai which she returns with a smile as she went back to work. “Ardee, again thank you so much for doing all of this. I am truly grateful and very lucky that you are now my boyfriend.” Rarity said as she finishes wiping her tears off. Then she wrapped her arms around your neck as she gave you another soft kiss to your lips which you gave in as you wrapped your arms around her.
The day ended and you are now officially Rarity's boyfriend. Before the sun could set, it’s time for you to drive Rarity home. Both of you couldn't come up with an idea for a fund raiser and you will check it with the others if they had any luck on their end tomorrow. You stopped your car in front of her house as you began carrying all her shopping bags.
“Thanks again for making this day very special for me Ardee.” Rarity thanked you as you place all the shopping bags on the floor.
“Anything for my gorgeous girlfriend.” You said as you gave a yawn. Just as you are about to leave, Rarity grabbed on to the sleeve of your shirt which you turned around and ask if there’s anything else.
“Since you’re so tired and I simply cannot just let you drive in your condition, you can spend the night over if you want.”
It’s rude to turn away your girlfriend’s offer so you decided to stay for the night. You told her you just need to get your bag. Once your back, you followed her into her house. “Mr. Flanks, Ms. Crumbles sorry for the intrusion. Your daughter wants me to stay for the night.” You searched around for her parents.
“Sorry if I didn’t mention but they are not around. They just left the other day for their honeymoon. Sweetie Belle is currently at Applejack’s with her friends for some group assignment, but she will be home later. I also informed our housemaids to take their rest for the day. So, it’s just you and me for now.” Rarity said as she led you upstairs to her room while you carry all her shopping bags. Both of you enter and you see, like always well-decorated and organized just like their house. “You do have a change of clothes, right?”
“Yes, I always leave extra clothes in my car if incase it rains or for a sleepover.” You said as you put your bag down next to her bed followed by all the shopping bags. “Do you mind if I used the telephone? I just need to callup the house.”
Rarity pointed to where their house phone was. You went back downstairs into the living room and found their telephone. You call your house and you told your sister you will be spending the night over at Rarity’s after your exhaustion from your date. As she heard that last part, she was so happy that you finally confessed to her as she gave her permission. She also mentions that your previous client was looking for you earlier and left their payment but added extra on how they love the effort you did into making their costume and want to speak to you next time about something else. You are excited to tell this to Rarity on what to do with the money as both you and your sister said your goodnights. When you went back upstairs and entered Rarity’s bedroom, you see her swallowed some sort of pill as she drank a glass of water. You explained to her about your client’s payment that you will donate it for the school’s funds.
“That is very thoughtful of donating the money you just earned. If you don’t mind could you be a dear and bring all these bags to the dressing room over there.” Rarity pointed to a door nearby. “Once you're done you can take a seat on my bed and make yourself at home. I just need to change into something more comfortable.” She added as she enters the dressing room and closed the door.
While giving your girlfriend some privacy, you sat on her bed while sorting out your clothes from your bag on what you will wear for bed and for the next day at Canterlot High. After you’re done you heard the door to the dressing room open. When Rarity came out, your eyes went wide on what you saw. Rarity came out wearing a purple bra that could barely contain her breasts with matching purple panties while also wearing a white robe.
“While I was at the lingerie shop, I do find this designer underwear very attractive. Do you like what you see, darling?” Rarity said while striking a pose. You were left speechless that you just gave a simple nod. Rarity’s giggles on how you are just left there staring at her. Then she walks to you with bedroom eyes as she adds an extra swing to her hips as she approaches you.
“Uhh, Rarity?” You said as she is right now in front of you.
“Ardee, you do know where this is all going to lead.” Rarity said as she wraps her arms around your shoulders.
“Wait, are you sure with this? I mean I am not forcing you-” You were cut-off as Rarity gently presses her lips to yours. After a while Rarity broke the kiss as she leans closer to your ear.
“You don’t have to be afraid Ardee. I just want to let you know I have my birth control pills so there is no need to worry of making me pregnant. Meaning...you can make love to me as much as you want .” Rarity whispers to your ear as she gave you a sweet kiss to your cheek. You are relieved that you guess it correctly that it was her birth control pill you saw her drank earlier, because if not you have a condom or two in your bag just in case.
Rarity gestures for you to take off your clothes. She backs herself away as begin to take off your clothes leaving only you wearing your shorts. Before you could say a word Rarity throws herself at you making you land on her bed. When you stare into her sapphire eyes you gave Rarity a warm smile which she returns as her lips make contact with yours. You feel her tongue press against your lips trying to enter. You grant her permission as both of your tongues dance in each other’s mouths as Rarity straddles you. Hearing your girlfriend’s moans dare you to do something bold, but since this is her first time you swore in your head right now to be gentle with her.
