Private Spit Shine, the newest member of Princess Celestia's Day Guard, has been best mates with Gleaming Shield throughout their respective careers in public service. When he finally catches up to his friend again, however, things quickly go mare-shaped. Spit Shine's old buddy has become one of the cleaning staff, and rumors of royal madness are confirmed before the Private's eyes.
