Sweet Revenge
3 - Attack
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe Dazzlings were in their mansion getting ready to confront Sunset about her living standards. They wanted to thank her in some sort of way, and decided that inviting her to live with them would be a big thank you. Especially considering where they saw her enter. Aria knew it was a bad area to live in, so they made up a plan to bring her with them. They weren't gonna take no for an answer.
Their mansion was quite big, and had several rooms. They had a room ready for Sunset when she came. They did wonder if she wanted to share a room, but had decided to ask when she came to them. Sonata had been more than willing to share a room with the firery haired girl. They had calmed Sonata down and said that they were gonna hear what Sunset has to say about it.
They were in their living room talking to each other, while, Sonata was trying to get ahold of Sunset. It was found to be difficult, as Sunset doesn't seem to reply back. Aria was quite curious what was keeping Sunset from answering while Adagio was thinking about every single scenario.
"She just won't pick up! What shall we do!?" Sonata asked, frustrated. They looked at their sister in surprise. She barely flips out like that. Aria was sitting on a white couch and jumped a few seats away from the frustrated girl. Adagio was trying to read Sonata, which is absolutely impossible. She doesn't have the same type of reactions humans and other creatures have, its like she blocks away her reactions.
"We'll take her to live with us either way. Calm down Sonata, I know you want to get a hold of her, but it might be better if we 'catch' her in her apartment which will give us a reason to get her out of there." Adagio said, making Aria nod in understanding. Sonata looked conflicted. She did like the plan, but she didn't know if Sun-shim would appreciate the fact that they just show up and take her away. Then again, perhaps she doesn't even wanna be there.
"Okay, shall we go then?" Sonata asked, making the other two smile at her. They nodded and walked out of the mansion and headed for their black BMW. They were wearing the clothes they wore when they went to CHS.
Adagio was driving, and was looking ahead on the road. Aria was sitting beside her, watching the different houses pass by. Sonata was worried about Sunset and didn't stop to think about her. The roads were mostly empty and they didn't run into any traffic. They soon started recognising the buildings and people that were walking around. They then found the apartment block that Sunset lived in. They parked the car on the street and got out. They started walking up a flight of stairs and knocked on the door that was Sunset's door. She had the number 666.
"They are here to collect you now. The sirens that is." Shadow Pony said, making Sunset get out of the couch and waiting by the door to open it.
She heard a knocking on the door and put on a friendly smile. "Hello, what do I owe you this pleasure?" Sunset asked, making Adagio frown a little. She saw something in Sunset's eyes that suggested that she already knew that this would happen. Then again, she seemed to have changed a lot since the battle of the bands. She seemed more observant then she used to be.
"Sunset, we know where you live, and I know for a fact that this is a bad area to live in. We want to take you in, have you live with us." Adagio said, with a voice that said 'no protesting.' Sunset grinned a little. She did expect this to come eventually, but she didn't think that they would be serious.
"But i am quite happy here. You sure i can't stay?" Sunset asked, grinning widely. It made Adagio look at Sunset questionably. 'Sunset, what have you been doing?' Adagio asked, herself in her mind. Sunset continued to grin. She knew that her new friends might be concerned for her, but she was in all honesty, fine. She had Shadow Pony to back her up if something was wrong.
"Sunset, we simply can't let live here. Who knows what will endanger you? What if one of those Wondercolts finds out where you live?" Aria said, trying to reason with Sunset who looked as if she was playing a funny video game. Sunset was enjoying herself a bit much.
"That's what makes it fun though, i can see if any of those FUCKING cowards come by." Sunset shouted out the swear word with such malice Adagio thought she had lost her fotting. Sunset then put up a friendly smile to them as if nothing happened. Aria didn't know what to feel, but was worried for Sunset.
"Sun-shim, i won't allow you to stay in these areas. They are far to dangerous, and i don't want to see you hurt." Sonata said, making Sunset's grin falter a bit. This didn't go unnoticed by either of the sirens, but Sunset quickly put up her grin again. She walked forward and to their surprise, hugged Sonata.
"If that is your wish, then i will come." Sunset said, making the three sirens look at her surprised. They expected her to be very against the idea, but apparently not. Sunset herself was still hugging Sonata with longing in her eyes, and the three noticed. Sunset shook her head and released Sonata. She looked at the three and smiled a little. "Come on in." Sunset motioned for them to come in.
When they did, Sunset went to her room to pack her things. The sirens looked around, and saw the dump she had been living in. Adagio and Aria were quite amazed on how she even managed to survive living in a place like this. Sonata was even more worried than before, and looked around. 'How has she managed to live in a place like this?' Sonata asked, herself in her mind.
Sunset was packing her small essentials and important possessions. Not that she had many, but she still wanted it nonetheless. Shadow Pony hadn't said anything since the Dazzlings arrived, but he did 'peek' his head out from time to time. "Do you know why they are so concerned for you?" Shadow Pony suddenly asked, making Sunset jump a little, but soon calmed down.
"No, I have no idea. Then again, I hardly care on why they are concerned. I'm not gonna use them, but, I will not be friends with them." Sunset said, not realising that the three girls had overheard her. Shadow Pony though, knew they were listening in. He thought that Sunset was gonna say something good, but apparently not. There is a section of mind reading Shadow Pony simply couldn't access, no matter how hard he tried. The only one's that can do it is Lucifer and Faust. He didn't really feel any emotion for what those three girls were doing, but he did feel something. Sunset knew though, that she was lying to herself. They are her friends.
"Alright then." Shadow Pony said, making Sunset happy. She walked out of her room and saw the Dazzlings waiting there. They... looked at Sunset with real curiosity. They heard that she was speaking to someone, but they didn't understand what the other person was saying. Sonata was unsure on how to feel about the situation. The other Dazzlings were trying to read Sunset, but to no avail. It was like she was a book without the words on the pages. She gave them a friendly smile no one of them could determine whether it was real or fake.
"I have my things, shall we go? Unless if you have changed your mind..." Sunset said, sounding a tad bit hopeful. The Dazzlings shook their heads, and Sunset groaned on the inside. She didn't hate them, or mind them, but she didn't at the same time want anything to do with them. "Lead the way." Sunset then stopped, she couldn't determine her own feelings. Perhaps it was the Shadow Pony's part and that was whynshe couldn't make up her mind at all. She shook it of and continued.
They did so, and they walked in silence until they saw an black BMW, and the Dazzlings got inside and so did Sunset. She sat together with Sonata, and they didn't say anything. Sunset was having a conversation with Shadow Pony in her mind. "I am telling you Shimmer, that I can't read a hundred procent correctly on what they are thinking. Yes, I can read minds, but there are certain things that I can't simply read. Look, I can't do certain things because of my King alright? He punishes those who doesn't follow his laws. One of them are being to not read minds of 'mundanes' and i really don't know why. No matter dimenson, he'll always know. The same goes for God or Faust as ponies and other equines says." Shadow Pony half-ranted. Sunset had asked if he could read their minds, and give her information.
"Fine then, but how will I know what they are thinking and doing? I kind of want to know what they are planning to do with me. I don't want to end up in the most fucked up situation, and get back stabbed... again." Sunset said, feeling her anger start to return. She wasn't aware that the other equines in the car could feel her anger. They were quite frightened, including Aria who didn't really care about anyone being angry, but this type of anger. This was different, this wasn't normal.
"Bacon girl... Sunset are you okay?" Aria asked, hoping to get a straight answer out of Sunset. She didn't mean to say bacon girl, but it just came out. Sunset turned to her, and looked at her through the rear view mirror that her eyes quickly flashed pitch black, and back to her normal eye colour. Adagio noticed this, and feel red flags come to her mind.
"Yes, I'm okay. Why do you ask?" Sunset asked, trying to sound pleasant, but her voice suggested that she was anything but pleasant. They couldn't make out on what it was, but they would hopefully figure it out.
"Just trying to start a conversation." Aria said, quickly not trying to sound rude. Sunset rolled her eyes that didn't go unnoticed by the three sirens. Adagio thought that it would be best that she explained to Sunset why they wanted an apartment, considering where they lived.
"Sunset, we live quite richly, and its probably best if I explained why we-" Adagio started, but was silenced by the raise of Sunset's hand. This surprised, the other two sisters. No one had been able to silence her so casually. Then again, it was something about Sunset that gave of, that you didn't want to upset her.
"Like I have said a few times before, I hardly care why you want the apartment. I really don't care. So save whatever explanation you have for someone that actually cares." Sunset said, making Adagio shut her mouth completely. What they wished for, was to know why she was so cold to them. They expected her to be curious, but it was clear to them that she really didn't care, and clearly meant what she said.
Sunset then started feeling a little guilty. Perhaps they felt like they should explain, and Sunset just shut them down, like it was nothing. She facepalmed herself making the three sirens look at her. "Sorry Dazzle, i shouldn't have said that. Please, continue. I promise not to interrupt." Sunset said, surprising the sisters. Couldn't she make up her mind? Adagio on the other hand was grateful.
"Thank you, well, we wanted a apartment because we wanted a second place to live. You see, sometimes we like to switch places, and one of the things we like switching is where we live. We have lived for over a thousand years in this world. We had another apartment that we sold, and that was in Los Angeles. We started looking for another apartment, and that is when we saw your name. We thought that it was perhaps this worlds you, by how you answered, but I soon realized that you already knew who it was. Now, that could be explained away as she knew this worlds us, but you said a few things that made me realize that it was you The one who defeated us. We aren't angry by the way. You freed us from a curse. Anyways, we called, and you know the rest. We are here now, and well that was the explanation." Adagio said, feeling happy that Sunset allowed her to get that out of her system.
Sunset had payed attention the whole time, though, it probably didn't look like she did it. She had been looking out the window, and didn't look like she had been listening. But she had, she had heard every single word being spoken by Adagio. Adagio noticed that Sunset was looking out of the window, and she frownd a little. Had she not listened to her at all?
"A very interesting tale, and yes I did pay attention to every single word." Sunset said, surprising the three sirens. She had really payed attention? If she had, then they were wrong to assume something else...
All of a sudden, they felt an impact on the right side of the car. They spun, and Shadow Pony looked at who did it. "Gilda." Shadow Pony said, making Sunset scowl. She got out of the car. Gilda did the same, but she hadn't noticed that Sunset had been in the vehicle.
"O My God! Are you okay in there?! Look, I'm so sorry! I have..." Gilda trailed of when she saw that it was Sunset who stood in front of the damaged car. Gilda felt the air become colder and colder. Her black leather jacket didn't do much. Even her gloves didn't seem to do much.
"You listen here motherfucker, you better have insurance or there will be fucking blood spill." Sunset said, in a voice that left no room for argument. Gilda was standing there in shock. Did Sunset Shimmer just say a swear word? 'Okay, what is going on?' Gilda asked, herself in her mind. Sunset may be Anon-A-Miss, but the Sunset she knew, never ever swore.
"Y-yes, I'll get it for you." Gilda said, rushing to her pickup truck. She looked for the insurance papers everywhere, and found them. She got out of her vehicle and gave them shakily to Sunset, as she felt the wind become colder and colder.
"Also, I have a surprise for you." Sunset said, and pulled out her pistol and shot Gilda between the eyes. The only look Gilda gave was one of absolute shock. Sunset had gotten her gun, ammunition and drugs while she had been asleep, but Shadow Pony had corrupted the person and taken the delivery Sunset had ordered. The drugs were something Sunset looked forward to in selling wise. The Dazzlings looked at Sunset in shock. She had just killed someone! And she didn't look like she even cared!
"Here," Sunset said, handing over the insurance papers to Adagio, who looked quite... scared. She took the insurance papers and gave a thankful nod. "Sorry you had to witness that. Well, one less person to give a shit about."
Aria would have normally agreed with this kind of thing, but with how Sunset was saying it, it sounded like she had planned or even hoped like something like this would even happen. 'Perhaps she was looking for an excuse.' Aria though, to herself. She sincerely hoped that it wasn't the case.
"Come on, let's get out of this shit hole. I know an mechanic. A fucking idiot if you ask me, but he knows how to build cars." Sunset said, making the three nod.
Adagio took the wheel again, and started driving of to the mechanic that Sunset had told them about. What Sunset didn't realize, was that three freshman students had witnessed the whole thing, and was terrified of what would happen when she found out it was them.
