These thoughts came from a 17-year old boy named Rumen who was walking around the video game convention and dressed as his favorite video game character of all times - Sora. Specifically, the KH3 version of Sora. It was easy to get the outfit and finish his cosplay... Internet was a real treasure trove in buying the outfit and the rest of the items needed to pull off a decent Sora. He managed to get the black v-neck t-shirt with white hemming and black shorts with gray pockets with the shorts being tight around the calves. Underneath the shirt, he equipped the longer black-hooded jacket with red hemming, gray pockets with white hemming and red flannel flaps that are held down by a series of yellow buttons. His shoes had a blackish-yellow with the ankle and tongue of the shoe folded down and a single black strap. His gray fingerless gloves came to a v on his hands and are just short of his elbow - they had red hemming and a yellow strap around the wrist along with a silver circle plate on the back of the hand. The signature crown necklace was around his neck. He managed to find a short brown-spiky wig to look more like Sora yet didn’t bother putting on tan-styled make-up. As for the glasses, they were still on his face. There was one small hindrance – he wasn’t able to find any good replicas of the Kingdom Key, or at least not any that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. By the time that the convention started it was already too late but he didn’t think much about it. 'Well, at least the convention is gonna be worth it in the end!'The boy thought to himself with a small confident smile on his face. He continued to explore the rest of the area. Right now, he wanted to collect some KH memorabilia and possibly a Kairi figurine - his favorite character of all time. Shame that he couldn't get a replica of the Kingdom Key... it would have completed the outfit. He put the matter from his mind. Sometimes things just don’t pan out. As he looked around, he spotted something that surprised him. A perfect replica of the Kingdom Key! What a stroke of luck! He had to have it to complete his cosplay! He rushed over to the vender and posed the main question in hand, "How much for the Kingdom Key?!" "Oh, my! An actual Sora cosplayer - in his KH3 style... impressive." The vendor looked to be a young woman who was dressed as Namine. It was actually a very well done cosplay. If he didn’t know any better, he might have thought she was actually a 15 year old memory witch Nobody. She spotted the same slightly longer blonde hair that draped across her left shoulder and blue eyes along with the white dress that ended at her thighs in an embroidered lace pattern and light blue sandals decorated with yellow flowers. From the looks of things, she resembled the Kingdom Hearts II version. "Er, thank you, miss." He blushed in complete embarrassment. Kairi was his favorite character of all time, but Namine was pretty darn cute too. The vendor as Namine giggled with a hint of amusement in her tone. "Not a problem... as for the Kingdom Key... hmmm, ordinarily I'd give it to you for 20... but I guess 10 dollars should suffice. A good bargain." The woman told him. A replica of this quality could go for hundreds of dollars! This was a steal! "I'll take it!" He declared and took out his money before giving it to the Namine vendor. The vendor nodded, took the money and gave him the Keyblade replica. "You won't be disappointed... I promise!" As he took hold of the Keyblade, he didn't notice Namine's look turn into a predatory smile. All he noticed was suddenly he felt very sleepy… what’s going on exactly? "Enjoy your trip. Oh... and by the way... I'm the real deal." Namine giggled evilly and soon he crumbled onto the floor as his vision began to blacken out. ‘The real deal...?’ Were his last thoughts as he blacked out and then faded away completely. (Unknown time and place - ???) In the darkness, a young man began to stir with a soft groan and he rubbed his shortened, brown-colored spiky hair. "Oof, my head... I feel like that party got a little out of hand last night." He admitted yet froze when he realized something. "Hey, that's not my voice!" His eyes snapped open and he looked down at himself - what he saw was... his own reflection. But not entirely himself. His spiky brown hair was real, his eyes were sea blue, his skin wasn't pale but tan... and his clothes fit him just like Sora's... Then he realized - he wasn't cosplaying Sora! He was SORA! "What the hell?!" He shouted in complete shock. His voice was indeed Sora as he slammed his fist down and began cursing fate… only to remember something about his last precious moments of Earth and mainly that vendor that resembled Namine. "What did that vendor mean 'the real deal'? The real Namine?" He wondered as he crossed his arms. "Why would she do this? I don’t understand…" “Oh... plenty of reasons. Boredom, immortality... but mostly cause I love to mess with people." A familiar figure spoke behind him. Sora whipped around to see none other than Namine standing there! She grinned amusingly and waved at him. "Hello, Rumen or should I say Rumi? Do you prefer your nickname? Anyway... enjoy your trip?" She asked. Sora frowned a bit and crossed his arms. “Not likely… considering you kidnapped me from my world. Though what do you mean by ‘immortality’? How did you become immortal?" The former cosplayer now turned Keyblade Master wondered. Namine lost her smile and sighed heavily. "Turns out a Nobody can never age... no matter how much you want to grow, you're stuck like this... for good.” She stopped for a moment and looked away. Sora wondered what was going through her mind – from the tone in her voice, she sounded like she was going through some heavy depression. "I'm forevermore trapped in the body of a 15-year-old girl!" Namine cursed her fate. "I can't even go to a bar and get drunk or have sex without worrying about the cops!" Sora couldn't help but wonder if he should be sympathetic or angry at her... maybe both. Either way... "Why'd you turn me into Sora?" Rumi wondered. "The Sora I know died a long, long time ago. I never could shake that crush I had on him, even though his heart belonged to Kairi. Maybe I'm hoping for a chance at another Sora?" Namine replied with a small hopeful look. Rumi blushed heavily. "Ooh... Ummm... well, I'm flattered... But I never dated a girl though... Hey, if you're immortal... does that mean I'm one as well?" He wondered. "Most likely. You're the first person I've tested this on, so I'm hoping it works as intended. I don't want to lose anyone else I care about to the ravages of time," Namine answered in an honest tone. "Ah... so, I can't go back home, huh?" Rumi questioned – his face had a quick look of despair on it. Namine confirmed his question with a nod. “I’m afraid not… I didn’t include that option unfortunately.” She admitted. Sora R sighed and crossed his arms. “Damn… so, where am I going exactly?” "The magical world of Equestria. It's a very bright world, so Heartless and whatnot aren’t likely to bother us," Namine answered. Rumi nodded then realized something. “Wait a minute… is this… a Displaced situation? I’m a Displaced?” He wondered as Namine blushed in embarrassment. “I… might have asked the Merchant for a bit of help, yeah.” Namine admitted. Rumi nodded – it sounds like he didn’t have any choice in the matter… as much as he hated to admit it, he sympathized with Namine… despite kidnapping him and sending him here as the actual Sora, he couldn’t fault her. She was definitely a cutie. Hmm, he wondered… “So, you want to date me?” Rumi wondered as Namine blushed heavily again but nodded. "I'd like to get to know you better and see if there's a chance for a real romance, yes." Namine replied with a small smile. Sora R nodded before he picked up her hand gently and kissed it – like a proper gentleman would. "I'll do my best to not disappoint, my lady." Namine giggled and blushed as her heart fluttered, "I'll do my best to be a worthy girlfriend, good sir." "I'm a massive pervert though... a quick warning." Rumi warned yet for some reason Namine didn’t find that offensive – if anything, she was aroused and amused. "You don't get as old as I am without picking up some...exotic tastes." Namine wiggled her eyebrows and flirted with him at the same time. Sora R blushed heavily but grinned a bit – seems like he was about to gain an ideal girlfriend after all. "A naughty Namine... hmm, seems like this will be quite the experience for both of us. Say, which Equestria are we going to?" This was on his mind ever since he heard from Namine that they’ll be heading to Equestria. “Equestria in the Anthro-verse… quick warning, they’ll be quite the lusty people.” Namine warned with a playful grin. Sora R grinned in amusement. "Interesting... though I think I’ll settle for just one girlfriend for now.” Namine nodded with a shrug. “If that’s what you want. If you want to roll in the hay with more than one, you’re welcome to do so. We’ll be in Equestria for probably the next two or three thousand years.” She told him. “I don’t mind that… I already have my future gal with me – a certain blonde witch at that.” Rumi replied with a grin – he knew who he was talking about. Namine giggled in amusement. “You charmer… I can tell that we’ll be spending a lot of time together.” “We will.” He paused before he looked around the darkness all around him. “So, what’s this? A Dive to the Heart thing?” Sora R posed a question. Namine nodded. "That's correct, Sora. I gave you the Keyblade, but it still wants to know more about you. Any moment now and the glass floor will display who you really are…” She trailed off and allowed the glass floor to lit up. The glass floor depicted Rumi in his Kingdom Hearts III attire in a sleeping position and holding Kingdom Key in his left hand. Around the platform were small circles with pictures of different people in them – one was Namine, another was Celestia… third was Luna and so on. Other smaller circles depicted images of the Heartless and Nobody symbols along with the Unversed and Dream Eater ones. “Whoa, this is… just, wow.” Rumi’s tone was just at a loss for words while Namine watched him with an amused look. “Your very own Dive to the Heart, Sora. I told you that the Keyblade would like to know more about you.” Namine spoke. Sora R nodded but was still taking in the sights. "Also, no offense but why not use Rumen or Rumi as my name? I mean... I might be Sora but it doesn't mean my name shouldn't be gone for good." He told her. "If that's what you want, I don't have a problem calling you Rumi," Namine replied – she didn’t really have a problem since she didn’t want to keep calling him Sora all the time as well. The real Sora was dead and gone, as much as she wish it were otherwise. Calling him Rumi or Rumen was important. Rumi nodded as Namine smiled a bit before she looked away in embarrassment. “Umm… Rumi, I know it’s a lot but I… N-no, never mind.” She shook her head after finishing her speech. "What is it, Namine?" Rumi insisted to know what was bothering her. Namine didn’t know if she should say it or keep silent – Actually, screw it. She already admitted that she had picked some exotic tastes over the years that she was immortal. Fuck it. "It’s a weird request… but would you mind petting me?" Namine wondered with a shy tone. "Sure. Anything for a cutie like you." Rumi said as he reached up and began petting Namine's head which made her most happy. Namine purred happily and blushed. "This is making me happy already… and very horny. I wasn’t kidding when I said that I picked up some ‘exotic tastes’ over the years." She reminded her soon-to-be-boyfriend. "I should probably finish the Dive to the Heart first, but as soon as we get a place in Equestria, we're definitely having our first time together." Rumi promised. Petting a cute girl was turning him on as well… he definitely wanted to have some fun with her. Namine giggled light-heartedly. "You are such a flatterer…” She went silent for a bit before her lips twisted into a sad smile. “But... it will be a while though before we can do that. We’ll be stuck in here for a thousand years.” Rumi froze. “WHAT!?” He blurted out. He definitely wasn’t expecting that! Author's Note So, yay! New Displaced story starring my self-insert as Sora (Kingdom Hearts III)... now though I'm hoping that people enjoy what I wrote. It might be a little weird and confusing, yes... but I'm praying it's exactly enjoyable like the Displaced! Kairi or Displaced! Xion story - please give this a chance and don't dislike it! And yes, normally in a Displaced story - it's a character who is displaced and no canon ones... but I just had to put the real Naminé in there. It's for a good friend of mine who would love to see this pairing kick off! Special thanks to TheDimensionTraveler for helping me out with the beta reading! As usual, I don't own Kingdom Hearts nor My Little Pony - they are owned by their respective companies! Enjoy reading! Retrieving the Key"A thousand years?!" Rumi exclaimed in a surprised tone as Naminé nodded and began to explain a calm tone. "You see... we kind of already arrived in Equestria but it was set a thousand years before the show... of course, it didn't happen for real... yet...” Naminé trailed off. Rumi interrupted her with a small confident grin that embraced his lips "Well, I'm definitely not waiting a thousand years to see if we go well together in bed. We'll find a place to live in the past and then we'll make love. How does that sound?" He questioned Namine nodded once again. "Of course. But... umm... should I spoil the truth that we're stone statues currently?" All this made Rumi’s eyes go into a shocked state. "WHAT?!" He exclaimed as Namine smiled sheepishly. “Spoilers?” She asked with a shrug as Rumi sighed heavily and shook his head. "So...what kind of state are our statues in?" Rumi wondered with an exasperated look. "Oh... nearly cracked... I know Luna's gonna be overjoyed to see you again." Namine commented with a slight smile. "Will I remember what happened to get me into stone after I'm freed?" Rumi asked with a curious expression as Namine nodded with a reply. "Yep... same with me. We both will remember what happened.” Rumi sighed in relief before realizing something about that ‘overjoy with Luna’ sentence. "I know Princess Luna though - why would she be overjoyed to see me again?" He posed the question That question made Namine grin in amusement. “Well… she’s your mother.” "WHAT?!" Rumi exclaimed in a shocked tone. "Then how'd we end up in stone if I’m Luna’s kid?! Wait, am I her biological son!? What the hell’s going on!?" So many truths and revelations coming out right now! Namine raised her hands to calm him down. “Okay, Rumi -1. Not your actual birth mom - more like an adoptive parent... and 2. Basically Discord was supposed to be stone... yet sadly, we got hit accidentally cause Celestia can't aim for horse poop. Luna's heart broke when you turned into a stone statue. She cried a lot and this was one of the reasons she became Nightmare Moon." “I see… damn, I wonder why I didn’t get to experience this back a thousand years ago.” Rumi crossed his arms in regard to that whole revelation. Namine nodded. "I know it's a lot to take... but I've been alone a lot... and I really wanted another adventure - romance, the high-life, everything... Please, Rumi... Everything that I have I'll offer... Please stay with me. That’s all I ask." She pleaded yet Rumi had made his mind already. "Namine, I agreed to try out this boyfriend/girlfriend thing with you. I intend to keep my word." Rumi promised as a true gentleman would. Namine thanked him with a hug. "I'm grateful. Now let's try out this Dive to the Heart bit. Also, unlike an ordinary one - you can pick new abilities, traits and such." Namine explained. "Oh, cool!" Rumi exclaimed in an excited tone before he posed two questions. "What are my choices? What will I learn in this Dive?" "Hmmm... in addition to strength, skill and magic... you may use light and darkness as well. As Luna’s son – you already are accustomed to some dark-based abilities." Namine explained. “Interesting, what are my choices?” Rumi wondered. “1. You can turn into any type of Heartless and move around quickly – useful during a fight; 2. You may have an opportunity to enter the Dream Realm and assist Luna with her duties; 3. Dark-styled spells and such. Anything other than that and you have it.” Namine explained. “Even dark-styled Keyblades?” Rumi wondered. Namine hugged herself in her soon-to-be-boyfriend and giggled. “Whatever you want it, I’ll deliver it sweetie – anything for my King.” Rumi smirked and hugged her tight. “I love that flirty attitude of yours, Namine… so sensational. You enjoy using the darkness a lot, huh?” He asked. Namine giggled. “Guilty as charged. I enjoy it… it’s so breathtaking and free.” She admitted with a naughty expression. “I’m gonna enjoy being in a relationship with you, Miss Naughty Witch. Hmm, I don’t suppose you’re willing to deliver me some armor?” He asked. Namine looked at him with a hopeful look. “Please tell me it’s Dark Mode. I’ve always loved that form.” She admitted. “A custom one… but yes. A bodysuit fetish?” Rumi wondered. Namine shrugged but kept a grin on her lips. “Again, guilty. But yeah, they’re so hot.” She admitted. “You ever been told that you act so horny?” Rumi asked with a grin of his own. Namine laughed gently. “Guilty as charged! Even before we were stoned, it was a couple thousand years since I got laid!" Namine exclaimed. "You've got laid before?" Rumi asked incredulously – he suspected it was just with boys but also girls too. "Like I said, a long, long time ago," Namine shrugged yet felt a little nostalgic about the old life she had. "It's not just boys though... girls too." Rumi suggested and he wasn’t disappointed in the answer. "Well, yeah… but you try a little of everything when you're way too old and way too lonely for way too long." Namine said with an amused expression. “True to that… before we continue, how about that Dive? Mind if you act as the guiding voice?” He requested. Namine nodded as she snapped her fingers and disappeared. “Anything for you, my King.” The dive began just like in the games as Rumi had to pick either the sword, shield or staff – they were also known as the dream weapons. One detailed strength, another was magic and the third was speed. "One thing I've noticed is that there's more to picking an ability than meets the eye." Rumi commented. ‘Yes, none of these choices should just be taken at face value.’ "Ah, that's my theory confirmed. Well, I do like the challenge... so I'll accept the rod and give up the shield." Rumi made his decision. ‘Is that your final answer?’ "Yes. It is." Rumi nodded as the weapons had disappeared completely. With the choice made, the platform vanished and Rumi was taken to a second platform. ‘Alright, my King... let's see if you can fight.’ Shadows popped all over the platform as Rumi's staff popped back in his hands. He was ready to fight. Since the Shadows were classified as the weakest opponent in Kingdom Hearts, Rumi didn’t have any problems at all and quickly eliminated them. ‘I'll spare you the 'swallowed by darkness' bit and just move you to the next platform.’ "Seems fair." Rumi commented as he was teleported onto the next platform. ‘Quick warning though, love - I'm going to put you through a mock battle. I won’t say who your opponent will be. I wanna see how well you can handle the darkness.’ "I'm ready for it!" Rumi said and prepared his rod. In the distance, Namine couldn't help but giggle lightly – if anything, it was amusing to see her King acting so… bold and confident. Once on the next platform, Namine was conjuring a data projection in regard to the mock battle… the opponent was still being prepared. ‘And now for a little... mock battle, my King.’ On the next platform, Namine conjured a data project of Aqua whose eyes were golden and instead of the Land of Departure symbol on her pink X-strap, there was the Recusant’s Sigil. "Any particular reason you chose Aqua?" Rumi asked as he got ready for battle with the rod in his hands. ‘Her skills in magic make her a dangerous opponent. Plus she also has an aggressive streak inside of her - this Aqua stayed behind to train with Xehanort... and, oh dear.’ "Oh dear? What’s wrong exactly?" Rumi wondered with a confused expression. ‘You can imagine how much Xehanort corrupted her - loyal to darkness, her spawning Ansem and Xemnas... it was awful.’ "Yeah, it probably was. I almost feel bad that I'm going to beat this data version into the ground" Rumi said with a small smirk as he concentrated and channeled his darkness. ‘Why do I feel like I'm going to enjoy this?’ "Probably because you will." Rumi remarked as his eyes went from blue to golden in an instant. ‘Yeah, I will. Battle to your delight, my King. But don't rely on darkness too much. I just found you and I still wish to get to know you better without losing you.’ "I'll keep that in mind, my Queen." Rumi replied and the battle began. Dark!Aqua was definitely more tough and strong than the regular one. Xehanort definitely taught her the dirty moves and skills in darkness. One such was using dark-styled spells and teleporting all around the glass floor. With Namine's warning in mind, Rumi refrained from leaning on the Darkness too much. It probably wouldn't have been very helpful anyway, with Dark!Aqua's own command of Darkness. Yet it wasn’t a problem for the former cosplayer as Sora – he continued to fight valiantly while Namine watched as her affection grew. Her King was impressing her more and more. He fought with ferocious determination and only used a small amount of Darkness in the battle, even if his inexperience was clear to see. It was very endearing to Namine to see him struggle with all his might against the opponent she had created for him. Eventually, Rumi overpowered her and Dark!Aqua accepted defeat before Namine dismissed the projection. She couldn’t help but clap in the distance along with her heart beating heavily. ‘Well done, my King! To think you could stand your own against one of the most powerful Keyblade Masters… amazing.’ Rumi sighed, “Do you mean to tell me that was a full strength Aqua?” He asked skeptically. ‘It wasn’t but I did make her as tough as I felt you could reasonably handle’ It may not have been the most powerful version of Aqua, but he was still proud of himself, "Thanks! It was a toughie though!" He meant what he said – Dark!Aqua was definitely a tough opponent to handle. Calming down quickly, he dismissed the darkness along with his eyes regaining their former blue color. ‘ Alright, we're almost done with your dive. Just the personality assessment for your Keyblade to know you better and the boss.’ "Lay it on me, Namine! I'm ready!" Rumi declared confidently as Namine guided her King to the next location and created a familiar face to ask him the three questions in regard to the personality assessment. "Kairi?" Rumi wondered with a curious expression- It was Kairi in her Kingdom Hearts III appearance. "What are you most afraid of?" Kairi asked the first question. Rumi thought about it. "Being... alone." He answered truthfully. "Is being alone really so bad?" Kairi wondered with a slight grin. Rumi shrugged but truth be told - he was often a shut in and didn't have a lot of friends. "What do you want out of life?" Kairi asked the second question "Adventure. To explore new places... with my girlfriend." Rumi answered. "To see the great unknown with your loved one, huh?" Kairi said in a slight amusing tone. Rumi nodded. It was a boring life back on Earth. Now he had a gal and he could explore new places. As Sora with Kingdom Key. "What's most important to you?" Kairi posed her final question. "Hmmm... good question.” Rumi went silent as he tried to think of a good answer and he did after a couple of seconds. “My identity.” "Who you are as a person, growing and changing - but still you." Kairi noted and then faded away. Rumi nodded while not being freaked out by Kairi disappearing. "That would be me." He agreed. ‘You are afraid of isolation. You want to see new places with your girlfriend. Your sense of self is most important to you.Are you sure?’ "Yeah, I'm sure. This is who I am." Rumi nodded with a serious look on his face. ‘Very well, my King. Your Keyblade should be satisfied with this, so now it is time for the boss.’ "Dark Side, here we go!" Rumi declared and found himself on his dive platform just as his shadow came to life and mutated into the Dark Side Heartless. ‘Remember that the closer you get to the light, the bigger your shadow becomes. But don’t be afraid, my King…’ Rumi got into position and prepared to fight his Dark Side shadow. He knew where his weak spot was so it shouldn't be a problem… this was going to be easy. Namine watched afar and smirked as her King thought in terms of the video game. He was shocked when the Dark Side lashed out with a foot, instead of any of the set moves from the games. The Heartless were actual creatures, not simply things of preprogrammed coding, after all. Nobody said it would be easy...yet it wasn't going to be a problem for her King. The Dark Side was a very easy boss to defeat… and possibly the weakest one of the Heartless that still qualified as a ‘boss’. Sure enough, even with the Dark Side behaving erratically and actually learning somewhat as the fight progressed, Rumi emerged victorious. "Phew! That was brilliant!" Rumi declared after eliminating the Dark Side and all of its offspring Shadows. ‘I'm glad you enjoyed it, My King. With this, your Dive is officially finished.’ "Compliments to the lady who guided me." Rumi bowed in respect to Namine conducting the test. ‘Why thank you, good sir. It was a pleasure to guide you.’ "So, I take it we still have time?" Rumi wondered as Namine reappeared next to him. "We do," Namine confirmed. "Mind sharing what happened after you were the only one left? If that's alright with you." Rumi told her as they sat down and hugged themselves in each other’s body. "There's not really much to say. After everyone else had died, either of old age or of some other cause, I bounced around the worlds for a couple thousand years, indulging every hedonistic impulse I had. Then I came across the ability to leave my home dimension. After that, I slowly started making plans to 'make' a new Sora. Took me almost 4,000 years to find all the bits and pieces I needed, but I think it was well worth it." Namine revealed with a small smile. Rumi was surprised by the plan and nodded slowly. "You were pretty alone, huh?" He posed the question as Namine nodded but her smile was gone. "I was. I had a few lovers, but they were always just physical meetups – in other words, they were completely empty. I admit that part of it was my fault. I just couldn't bring myself to care about others when it hurt so much to watch them pass me by with time." Namine sighed heavily after admitting that. "You have my sympathies." Rumi told her with a small frown. Namine nodded with a sad smile. "A real gentleman. Though I wish the rest were like that... being the guardian of Kingdom Hearts didn't help. Don't get me started on my second role as the Chosen One..." She shivered a bit and remembered that painful era – one that she wasn’t proud of being a part of. Mainly because it brought a lot of painful memories. "You were a Chosen One?" Rumi asked in surprise. "More like... I became the new Sora." Namine admitted with a frown on her face. "Now you've gone and made me curious. Do you mind telling me more?" Rumi asked with a slight look of interest on his face. Namine nodded. "Of course. As you know, Sora's death came as a shocker for us all... especially me. The Keyblade fell into my hands yet I wasn't cut out for that role." She explained yet Rumi made a confused expression on his face. "Wait, it passed to you after he died? How did that happen?" Rumi asked. "Technically I am both Sora and Kairi's Nobody. Thus when he passed, his Keyblade became mine and I was forced to fill the role of Sora even though I had never so much as held a Keyblade before," Namine explained with a soft sigh. "Ah... then what happened?" Rumi wondered. "Luxu happened -for whatever insane reason, everyone rallied around me as 'Sora's Successor'. We won, in the end - but it was horribly messy. We lost a lot of people..." Namine sighed heavily and felt nothing but utter contempt towards the ancient Keyblade Master. That day she had lost not only a couple of close friends… but also her Somebody/Mother/Undefined Kairi. A tragic end to a tragic tale. But that was all in the past. "Yikes." Rumi cringed a bit - it must have been a bad time for her and her friends. "So, yeah…one gigantic, huge fuckup after another until I just left and never looked back." Namine trailed off. "I'm sorry. Must have been a hard time for you." Rumi apologized sincerely. "It was, but I've put it behind me, mostly. Thousands of years can really put things in perspective, as you'll hopefully find out. The more we spend time together, the more you’ll see that while it has its downsides it can be very nursing." Namine assured him as Rumi nodded with a small smile. "With you by my side, definitely." He replied back and kissed the top of her head. Namine pecked his cheek in response to that kiss. "And I will always be by your side, as your Queen, my King." "Say, any luck trying to contact at least Repliku?" Rumi wondered – Riku Replica was one of the few people to truly have come close to winning Namine’s heart... yet nothing unfortunately. "There's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Repliku gave himself up to take down his past self, destroying both of them." Namine replied with some sadness. "No luck huh... Aww, that sucks." Rumi shook his head while apologizing about posing the question in the first place. Namine nodded, “But for now I'll please you, my King. I do know a little bit about you." She told him. "So, what do you want to do now? I imagine we've got a while before the stone breaks and we end up being free for good." Rumi noted. "Hmm... good question." Namine replied but didn't have a clue on what to do. Either make sweet love or talk about something else. "Oh! You know a lot about the KH-verse... Do you know of the ships? People ship you like crazy." Rumi admitted. "Oh boy, are you going to ask me which ships my favorite and which ones creep me out?" Namine asked with a teasing grin. "Maybe, maybe both." Rumi wanted to know – it would be a learning experience and plus he would be aware of how she felt towards the ‘ships with Namine’ in Kingdom Hearts. "Well, the thing is, by the time I learned about the greater multiverse, I was already a couple of thousand years old, so I can't say any of them really creeped me out. Except maybe Xehanort, because fuck that guy. As for favorites... Sora, Kairi or Xion" Namine decided. "A true bisexual." Rumi commented. "Yeah. I wish I had a recording of the first time I tried going on a date with a girl. I was only 150 years old at the time and I was so nervous! It had mostly been out of curiosity, but when she took me to her room, well... this and that happened and I realized I was Bi," Namine giggled as she remembered that day so well. It was one of the few bright spots of that time and Namine treasured the memory. "You ain't the only one." Rumi admitted. "I know. You're Bi as well." Namine admitted the truth. "You knew?" Rumi asked in a surprised tone. "Yep. I told you - I'm aware of several things about you. You are a lone wolf, a very quiet individual with trust issues. Paradoxically, you're afraid of being alone... you want someone to love you." Namine explained. "Why, it almost sounds like you've been stalking me, my Queen." Rumi chuckled in an amused tone. Namine giggled. "Is it wrong to stalk my future King?" "Out of curiosity, how long did you stalk me? What made you decide I was the one worthy of being your Sora?" Rumi asked. "Your heart. I've been the same... though I wanted to be loved and have friends, I never had the chance. As for your first question, hmm... back when you were 14." Namine admitted. "Three years? That's dedication, my Yandere Queen." Rumi petted her head. Namine purred happily. "Always the best... looks like our time has arrived for us to break out of our stony prison." "A thousand years have already passed?" Rumi asked incredulously – all of that talking really makes time fly forward. "Yep. Before head onward, I feel like a change of outfit is in order for me. Rumi, close your eyes please. I don't wish to spoil anything yet." Namine pleaded. Rumi obliged, closing his eyes while Namine grinned and snapped her fingers. In no time at all, she changed her clothes and hairdo. "And... done! Open them." Namine told her love interest. Rumi did just that and immediately felt his jaw dropped - In front him was a new and improved Namine. Her hairstyle was done in a ponytail while a star necklace rested on her neck. She wore a redesigned version of Kairi's KH3 style but with a blue color scheme. Her sandals were the same. Rumi was astonished. She… she was so beautiful and so mesmerizing. "You're gorgeous, my Queen." Rumi breathed as a massive blush popped onto his cheeks. Namine giggled at how silly her King acted and hugged herself in him. "Rumi, I feel so happy to hear that." "Well, it's time for us to say hello to the world again!" Rumi declared with a grin. "Yep! This time we won't be needing tedious 'light blinding' and whatnot. Instead we'll simply use the Keyblade to get across. Note that I've given up that ability but I'll still be able to heal you in battle. My skills in magic and healing are very high." Namine assured her boyfriend. "Alright, I'm ready when you are!" Rumi said as he summoned the Kingdom Key and aimed it at nowhere. "Same, my King! Let's go and conquer. May your heart be your guiding key." Namine quoted the phrase to leave the prison or dream realm. “May your Heart be your Guiding Key.” Rumi echoed and soon the tip of blade lit up and conjured the exit. With that, their world vanished as the pair began to wake up from their 1000 year-long slumber. Author's Note So, yeah - I did the second chapter of the Displaced! Sora story - mainly the Dive to the Heart bit and getting sent to Equestria! We did the prologue and the first part of the story... so, we can get started on the adventure and seeing Luna reunite with her adoptive son. Not much to say but keeping my fingers crossed that you all enjoy the chapters that I've posted - please don't dislike it and give it a chance! Again, special thanks to TheDimensionTraveler for the beta reading! As usual, I don't own Kingdom Hearts nor My Little Pony - they are owned by their respective companies! The Key returns HomeAs the Elements finished purging the recently returned Nightmare Moon, Twilight and her friends crumbled onto the floor and fell unconscious from all of that magical energy that they had used on the former princess of the night. They were the true heroes that had saved Equestria thanks to the use of the Elements of Harmony As for the former Nightmare Moon known as Princess Luna, she was only barely hanging on to consciousness herself. The purging had free her from her darkness in her heart. She was finally free; free from Nightmare and it's creatures. Though she wanted to share the glory, she laid on the floor a bit and sighed heavily. Now that she was back in her right mind, she needed to get back on track and find out just how much she had missed along with seeing the statuette form of her adopted son as soon as possible. Unfortunately, she was so weak, that 'as soon as possible' might not be for a few hours. "I just hope he isn't mad that he was turned into stone... Rumi, Mama's coming back for you, my little baby boy." Luna couldn't help but cry while remembering the day that she and Celestia accidentally hit him with the spell which turned him into a stone statue. One of the contributions for her downfall into Nightmare Moon... "Please, don't cry sister." Celestia said as she appeared in the room via one of her magic spells. Luna saw her appear and immediately looked away in shame. She didn’t deserve to be pitied by her older sister – not after the things that had gone down. Luna had made mistakes that could possibly be uncorrected. "Luna... whatever happened back then... I accept the lion's share of the blame. My hubris blinded me to so many things." Celestia sighed – her words were true. Luna didn't speak but continued to listen to her sister as the apologies roared in without even slowing down for a minute. "I shouldn't have brushed off your concerns about our people being thoughtlessly cruel to you. I should have been more careful with the Elements when we defeated Discord. There were so many little things I should have done differently. Yet I didn't, so I must ask for your forgiveness, Luna." Celestia pleaded. Luna didn't speak still for the next couple of seconds but then spared her sister a small glance. "I should be the one to apologize..." She admitted. "Luna…?" Celestia said questioningly with a confused expression. "I caused you so much grieve... I felt nothing but pain thanks to me becoming Nightmare and nearly plunged Equestria into the darkness... my jealousy stemmed from the fact that I failed Rumi... he doesn't deserve me as his adoptive mother..." Luna was in tears again after admitting those words. "We both failed, Luna. Neither of us are perfect. What do you say to us starting over and trying again?" Celestia offered as she extended her arms for Luna to accept her. The Princess of the Night sent a nod and let her older sister hug her. "I missed you so much Celly..." Celestia held her baby sister in her arms and whispered quietly. "I missed you too, Lulu..." As they reconnected their old bonds neither of them saw the young boy and girl reappearing a little bit away from where they were thanks to a small light. "Aw, isn't this cute?" Namine made their presence known after seeing the two sisters reconnect. She was the only one conscious while Rumi remained unconscious – turns out the teleportation trick put him to sleep. An act that didn't escape Luna's gaze when she saw him and tears of joy streamed down from her eyes. "RUMI!" Luna exclaimed as she rushed forward to their location. "Easy Luna, easy! He's still getting his memories back together after the stoning!" Namine tried to calm her down yet Luna ignored her and immediately hugged her child. "Ah, the love of a mother for her child." Namine quipped in a happy tone. "It is… and you are…?” Luna questioned the blonde that came with her adoptive child. "I'm Namine, Rumi's girlfriend. Long story, time travel nonsense, I'll explain later." Namine replied. Luna's eyes widened. "A... a girlfriend...? But... How?" She questioned yet Namine raised her hands to get her to calm down a bit. "Like I said, it's a very long story." Namine sighed. Luna nodded but was still confused about how Namine and Rumi managed to become boyfriend-girlfriend while in a statuette prison. "I don't mean to interrupt this... heartwarming moment but would anyone care to explain what's going on?" Celestia asked in a confused tone. "To make a long story short, when the Elements activated I was able to snatch up a tiny bit of their energy and used it to break the petrification on Rumi." Namine explained. Luna was astonished. "So... you managed to get my baby boy back?" "I mean… I can't take all the credit. The enchantment was already weakening and it probably would've broken in a few more years on its own, but I did speed up the process." Namine replied as Luna sent her a thankful nod. "I see... I don't know how to repay you though..." Luna trailed off. "You could agree to not send me to the moon for daring to date your baby boy?" Namine replied cheekily. Luna smirked at that. "Deal. You really want to date him don't you?" She asked softly while petting her unconscious son on the hair. "Very much so, yes. While he was petrified, I was able to converse with him in his mind. I think I love him very much." Namine confessed as her heart began to beat very fast. Luna sighed in a motherly love. "That's the power of love." "Yeah, it is." Namine replied warmly as a soft groan came from Rumi who was stirring up and opening his eyelids slowly "My head is pounding..." He groaned while rubbing his lids. "That's a side effect of your memories finishing getting back into place." Namine replied and then posed a question. "Do you remember your time with Luna now?" "Y-yeah... I do... where am I though?" Rumi wondered. "The Castle of the Two Sisters, my child." Luna answered with a motherly smile. Rumi saw his adoptive mother and hugged her immediately. "M-mom..." He whispered softly as tears streamed down his eyes due to the fact. "It's OK, let it all out. We're finally together again." Luna cried as she held her child for the first time in over a thousand years. "I'm sorry I wasn't a better boy to you, Mama." Rumi admitted after letting go off his adoptive mother. "Don't be silly, Rumi. It's a child's job to make life difficult for their parent." Luna teased as Rumi began to blush in embarrassment. "Mom! Not in front of my girlfriend!" Rumi protested and hid his face to avoid getting more embarrassed by his adoptive mother and mentor. "Ah yes, the mysterious girlfriend you didn't have when you were petrified. Tell me all about it." Luna requested in an amused tone. She was going to have so much fun in teasing her child. "Well... she- You!" Rumi was angry when he saw Celestia who looked away in a shame. "Your anger with me is well justified, young Rumi. Forgive me." Celestia pleaded with her adoptive nephew. "Hmph. I'm never forgiving you for that moment... and your aim sucked a lot." Rumi admitted. "I can't argue with that." Celestia sighed – her nephew had every right to be angry with after the accident nearly a thousand years ago. Luna snickered at how Celestia was being scolded. "You deserve that." She admitted with a grin on her face. "Well, let us see to the new Element Bearers and then we can all have a nice, long talk." Celestia decided but Luna had other ideas. "Can I... can I have some alone time with my baby boy though? Somewhere that's private." Luna requested. "Of course." Celestia agreed. “I’ll help out with awakening the new Elements. Give you and your son some privacy since you both have a lot to catch up on.” Namine told them as Luna gave her a thankful nod. She then teleported herself and her child away to a seperate location. "Forgot about that." Rumi commented with a grin after the teleportation spell. "Judging by what Namine has said, your memories were quite damaged by the petrification." Luna noted as she hugged her son. "They were... unfortunately." Rumi agreed with his mother and sighed heavily. "Thankfully Namine helped piece them back together. They still aren't back to 100%, so I might be forgetting a few things that were obvious to me before, but I do still remember the day you adopted me, so the important bits are still there." Rumi added. "The most important day of my life... and the happiest, baby." Luna pecked his forehead with a smile. "I'm just glad to be back among the land of the living," Rumi said "Same... but most importantly - I'm glad to have you back, honey." Luna replied. "Thanks, Mom." And the pair embraced as mother-son once again. “Stop it, Mom… it tickles!” Rumi giggled as his mother tickled his weak spots. Luna couldn’t help but giggle. “You made me worry, young man… you don’t get to be a stone statue for a thousand years and live to tell about it.” She declared. “Aww, you wound me Mother.” Rumi joked as Luna pecked his cheek once more. “Definitely have a lot of catching up to do and to continue training you… you can still summon your Keyblade, right?” Luna wondered. Rumi nodded and summoned Kingdom Key. “Completely untouched in the last thousand years.” He declared. Luna ruffled his hair. “That’s my boy. Though you have a grasp on your abilities, you still have much to learn about the darkness… fortunately, I’ll be around. I’m not losing you again.” She promised him. “I’m not going anywhere.” He assured her as the two watched the sun rising on the horizon. No matter what lay ahead, with family reunited, they could face it together. Little did they know that a story had begun… one that would change Equestria forever. Author's Note Okay, so bad news - upon me trying to submit the story and prepare for the worst, I received a message saying it could not be submitted due to my protagonist not interacting with the cast... so, I fixed that in the third chapter. Hopefully, it should get approved. Keeping my fingers crossed that it gets approved - hope you all enjoy it! As usual, I don't own Kingdom Hearts nor My Little Pony - they are owned by their respective companies! The Key Celebrates in Ponyville"So... I think we should head back and check on the Elements, Mom... and my gal." Rumi broke the silence completely after spending a full hour of a peaceful reunion with his mother. "I suppose." Luna sighed, reluctant to end her time with her son. She didn’t really want to since she hadn’t seen him in more than a thousand years… but duty calls as some would say. "Truth be told, I do want to stay some more and spend a little bit longer with you, Mom... but duty calls." Rumi sighed as well – he had read his mother’s mind easily and knew that she wanted what he wanted. "Aye, that it does." Luna agreed with a small nod. Rumi hugged his mother as tight as he could before smiling gently. "We have a lot to catch up though..." "I imagine we do." Luna hugged him back – a smile plastered on her own lips as well. Once they broke off the hug, the two headed back down to see the Elements awakening with Namine and Celestia watching over them. "We didn't miss anything important, did we?" Luna asked as the new keepers were slowly standing up and groaning – the princess of the night must have guessed that they were still tired from using the Elements on her dark side. "No, you haven't." Celestia assured before walking over to her sister and hugging her once more. "I just want to say again how happy I am to have you back and how sorry I am for what happened." Luna nodded and hugged her elder sister as tight as she could. "The same, Tia... but don't you have something to say to your nephew?" "Rumi, I'm sorry for having the aim of a blind mare," Celestia said, only a slight note of self-deprecating humor in her voice… albeit a failed one. Rumi crossed his arms in annoyance and looked away much to Luna’s amusement. Her little boy was definitely going to remember this for as long as he lived. "Yes, I know it's going to take more than an apology and a poor attempt at humor to earn your forgiveness," Celestia admitted before going silent for a bit. "But I'm willing to make the effort. I ignored my family once, I don't intend to repeat that mistake." She assured her nephew who was still ignoring her. Yet… her words had the effect that Celestia was hoping for. Rumi sighed before looking at his aunt – no sense in remaining in the past. It was time to focus on the present… and the foreseeable future. "Fine... I'm eager to let you earn back my trust... Auntie." Rumi spoke before allowing himself to hug his aunt. "Thank you, Rumi." Celestia replied and hugged her nephew. "What's going on?" Twilight asked drowsily as she and the other Elements shook off their unconsciousness. Celestia cleared her throat and turned to her student. "My dearest Twilight, I'm so proud of you." "Proud of me?" Twilight echoed, her memories slowly coming back to her of fighting Nightmare Moon. "Yes... you've done Equestria and our land a great service... because of you and your friends, Nightmare Moon has been purged from our land and we're all safe and sound." Celestia declared with a smile towards her student and her friends. It was then that Twilight noticed the three strangers who were with Celestia. Before she could speak, Rainbow spoke up in her stead and already posed the question that was on her mind. "So who are these guys?" Rainbow asked with a curious expression. "And what exactly happened to Nightmare Moon?" Rainbow was referring to Luna, Rumi and Namine much to Celestia’s amusement who giggled and decided to clear the confusion. "My little sister who was formerly Nightmare Moon and her... son Rumi." She revealed. "As for who I am... I'm Namine. Rumi's independent and loveable girlfriend." Namine introduced herself with a grin. "WHAT?!" The room exploded at that shocking revelation. "So the sisters in the tale of Nightmare Moon..." Twilight trailed off as she realized something from reading the legend. "Were myself and Luna, yes. I, the foolish older sister who ignored Luna's suffering and she, the unhappy younger sister who felt she needed to do something drastic just to get my attention at all." Celestia replied in a somber voice. "And... SHE had a horrible aim that turned me into a stone statue along with my girlfriend." Rumi pointed at his aunt with an annoyed expression on his face much to Luna and Namine’s amusement. "And I suspect it will be a very long time before you let me forget that." Celestia noted banally. “Oh, he isn’t forgetting at all… right, hon?” Luna asked her son who nodded immediately. "Sounds like someone needs to spend a mite more time at the shootin' range." AJ quipped and backed Rumi completely. Celestia sent her a look while her student sighed. "I can't believe I'm saying this... but AJ has a point. You definitely need more practice with your banishment spell, Princess. If what your sister and her son say is true… then, yeah – I’m inclined to support them on this." She was firm with her words. "I could make the excuse that running an entire country takes a lot of time," Celestia said mildly. "But that doesn't excuse how bad my aim was when Luna and I were searching for the Elements to stop Discord." Twilight grinned. "Sorry, Princess… the excuse doesn’t work anymore." She told her. "Yes, now that Luna has returned, once she has a chance to acclimate herself to the modern day, I'll have a little more free time on my hands. I'll be sure to use it to practice my more practical skills," Celestia promised. "I hope so, Auntie." Rumi sent her a look as Namine kissed his cheek. "Just you wait and see, once I'm done, I'll be able to hit a gnat off a pinhead!" Celestia jokingly promised yet nobody bought that. "Or you'll fail again." Luna giggled at her expense and Celestia pouted at her younger sister – she always had to be the joker of the family. It wasn’t fair! "As fun as this is to watch, might we have this conversation somewhere that isn't a dank, dirty castle that's falling apart?" Rarity asked. "I agree... it's time for a party!" Pinkie declared with a grin. Most people had the common sense to not get between Pinkie and a party, so everyone agreeably headed back to Ponyville and in short order a huge party was underway, to celebrate the return of Luna and her son. Rumi and Namine were also enjoying the festivities as well but a little bit away from the crowd since they wanted to have a moment alone. "I'm... happy that we finally got my mom back." Rumi admitted with a soft smile. Rumi was laying on Namine’s lap while she petted him on the hair. "I'm glad you're happy with your new family, even if your aunt can be a bit dumb and can't hit the broadside of a barn." Namine said with a joking smile on her face. "Sadly... so, now that we're here... any ideas for your spare time?" Rumi wondered as he started in the face of his queen. "Well, that all depends on what you want, my King. Despite not using it all that often, the millennia have taught me patience. It has definitely been… rewarding." Namine admitted with a sly grin. "Oh, I have a couple of ideas... but business before pleasure... do we have any idea when Luxu might arrive?" Rumi asked – the arrival of Luxu and the Foretellers was on top of their ‘to-take-care-of’ list. "No idea, but hopefully not until after you get a fair bit of training under your belt." Namine answered. "Say, speaking of training... Did you meet other Key Bearers? Not like the Destiny Trio... more like: wielders from other forms of media - anime, games and whatnot?" Rumi wondered. Before he became Sora, Rumi often read fanfics involving heroes and heroines becoming Keyblade Wielders instead of Sora back home. Now it was time to see if the answer was intriguing or not… "Yes, I have," Namine answered truthfully. "I was surprised by how many heroes could wield the Keyblade." "Displaced or... canon?" Rumi wondered – they might be other cosplayers or the real thing. "Canon. I only met the Merchant fairly recently. Honestly, the Void Dwellers and their thing with Displacement has never made a lot of sense to me." Namine responded. Rumi was also on the same page - it didn't make a lot of sense as well at times. Getting sent as the actual character to Equestria or another world was an interesting offer but it wasn’t exactly a cup of tea at the same time. "So, which people became wielders?" Rumi wondered. "I'm not sure. I rarely stuck around in any one place long enough to see if any of them would get a Keyblade, I just saw they had the potential to." Namine explained. "Oh... what about the ones you did stick around for?" Rumi asked. "There were three: Ragna the Bloodedge, Ruby Rose and Maka Albarn." Namine answered. Rumi was surprised by her answer – he never expected that the scythe protagonists would become wielders. "Both girls are scythe wielders though... how'd they get to be Keyblade Wielders?" "Just because you have a Keyblade doesn't mean you can't use other weapons. The Keyblades look for a quality in a person's Heart. Sure, they both still almost always use their scythes, but they can and have used their Keyblades." Namine remarked. "Huh... so, did they have a sort of Kingdom Hearts I experienced adventure or just the simple 'Get a Keyblade, save the world' thing?" Rumi wondered. "'Get Keyblade, save world'. " Namine answered before adding. "World hopping isn't uncommon, but also not a universal standard." "Ah, gotcha. Anything else?" Rumi asked. "Not that I can really think of... those Element girls sure are cute though." Namine smirked and remembered all the times she had her fun with different women her age. "Ooh! That reminds me - I'm gonna be getting Hell for this... but who did you do it with - Maka or Ruby?" Rumi asked with a sly grin. "I only did it with Ruby. You should've seen Yang's face when she found out!" Namine giggled. Ruby Rose was definitely a special someone that Namine was fond of… she was gentle, sweet and caring… like her somebody Kairi. The most interesting time was when they both were in the bedroom… Rumi smirked. "She was angry, I can tell." "Yeah, good times," Namine recalled fondly. Yang definitely had thrown several fits and wanted to kill Namine for defaming her little sister… yet Blake and Weiss managed to keep her in line. "I'm surprised you didn't do it with Maka though..." Rumi added. "Maka was devoted entirely to Soul." Namine replied with a small shrug. "I always did find her as a sort of... stubborn donkey. I wish she had been toned down a bit." Rumi admitted. "Hmm, yeah, I can see how you could get that impression." Namine agreed with her King. "Oh? You noticed it as well?" Rumi asked with a raised brow. "She was more reasonable in person, but also had an undeniably stubborn streak." Namine told him. "Yeah... definitely. Alright, enough grim talk. Let's go and chat with the guests." Rumi suggested. "Aren't we the guests here, my King?" Namine asked teasingly to which Rumi peeked her nose in retaliation. "Smartass." He replied. Namine giggled at how silly her Kind acted… just like the real Sora did long ago. God, she was glad that she had found the perfect man in her life. Before the pair could leave however Namine noticed a presence behind the statue. "Twilight... I know you're hiding behind. Please come out." Twilight chuckled nervously as she stepped out. "Was I that obvious?" Was her question. Namine smirked and pointed at herself. "You can't escape this witch. In the time I've been alive, yours truly learned some very good techniques for sniffing out scents from a mile away.” "What's up, Twilight?" Rumi asked with a curious look. Twilight blushed a bit and replied. "I... I wanted to meet you." "What for?" Rumi asked in confusion but Namine smiled with understanding. Her King had found his first harem girl… and he didn’t even notice it. "Oh... just to... meet Luna's son. I didn't even know the princess had a child." Twilight admitted while still having the blush on her face. It was clear that she was infatuated with him. "I'm actually adopted." Rumi clarified. Twilight made a surprised face. "Oh..." "Was there anything else, Twilight?" Namine asked. "Oh... y-yeah. I wanted to ask you both some questions though... if that's alright." Twilight answered. "Go ahead," Rumi encouraged. Twilight nodded albeit still nervous over discussing things with Luna's heir. She didn’t know why but for some reason… he was just so irresistible, handsome and gentlemen-like. She took a deep breath and began to question both him and Naminè. "So... how did you both meet Celestia and Luna? I can take notes right?" Twilight questioned while procuring a notepad. Rumi and Namine both gave her a nod in response to her question as they began to recount the tale of how they first came to Equestria and met the Princesses. "It was a little over a thousand years ago, Namine had first brought me to this world." Rumi recalled. "We came a few months before Discord was banished... naturally, our first meeting was a little... awkward." Naminè explained. "Given that Discord was still kicking about, they were both understandably nervous about the newcomers they'd never seen before who didn't quite look like ponies." Rumi added. "I can't say I disagree... my mentor can be a bit of a..." Twilight trailed off, trying to think of the right words. "Chess Master?" Namine suggested with a sly grin. Twilight shrugged. "I guess. Can't really find the right words for it... So, what happened next?" "After we convinced them we weren't twisted by Discord's magic, we traveled together until we found the Elements. Then when Celestia and Luna used them to seal away Discord, Celestia screwed up her half of the aiming and got me and Rumi imprisoned in stone as well," Namine said. "This was after Mom and I bonded a lot... a while back before the whole 'imprisonment', she took me on as an apprentice of sorts and taught me some things - magic, light and darkness, Keyblade abilities... the works. After some weeks, she started acting a lot more motherly to me than just a mere teacher..." Rumi explained as he closed his eyes and began to experience the memories from long ago. "Something about the two of them just clicked and before I knew it, Luna was treating Rumi like her son and he accepted her as his adoptive mother." Namine shrugged. "Yeah... exactly. I do recall Celestia taking a liking to you though Naminé." Rumi grinned a bit. "I mean... I like talking to her. We're about the same age, she can be smart when she's not being a dummy..." Namine said. "Huh... so that's why your name was familiar!" Twilight realized. "She told you about me?" Namine asked in a surprised tone. "Yeah... she cried a lot when we spoke about you. She saw you as a daughter figure and felt guilty a lot for accidentally hitting you and Rumi." Twilight admitted. "Oh..." Namine wasn't sure how to feel about that. She knew Celestia was truly sorry for stoning them, of course. But she hadn't known Celestia had viewed her as a daughter, "...I'm pretty sure I'm older than her..." "So? What does it matter if you are older than her? She viewed you as a daughter figure." Twilight told Namine who was still trying to figure out what she was feeling towards Celestia. "I don't know… I'm still trying to figure this out." Namine admitted with a shrug. Rumi placed a hand on his girlfriend's shoulder. "You'll figure something out. You're smart enough to do the right thing." He encouraged her. "I think that's part of the problem. I don't know what the right thing is. I had no idea Celestia thought of me as such. She never told me or hinted at it or anything. I'm gonna have to talk to her about this." Namine decided – she was definitely having a talk with Celestia later. "Better soon than never as they say." Twilight advised. "I thought it was 'better late than never'," Rumi said before posing a question. "Or is it different in the 1000 years we've been stoned?" Twilight grinned in amusement. "Definitely different nowadays. So... what is this 'Keyblade' you mentioned?" "An ancient weapon of great power that is still only a pale imitation of an even more ancient and more powerful weapon." Namine replied mysteriously. Twilight's face morphed into an awed one. "Ooh! Can I see? Please, Please?" She pleaded. "I can try, but don't be too disappointed if it isn't ready yet," Rumi warned her. "Of course... I just wish to know about the weapon. I'm a fan nut for these sorts of things." Twilight admitted. Rumi nodded and attempted to summon his Keyblade. In a flash of light, Sora's Keyblade - Kingdom Key with its grey blade, blue rainguard, yellow guard and crown teeth appeared much to everyone's surprise. "Ooooh," Twilight was burning with curiosity at how the Keyblade had appeared in Rumi’s hands. "Huh... wasn't expecting that." Namine admitted in a surprised tone. "Which part, the part where I was able to summon it so soon after my Dive Dream or that it's the Kingdom Key?" Rumi asked with a raised brow. "The former... I thought it would be a while until it was summoned." Namine admitted. "I did too." Rumi agreed with his girlfriend. "From how you were able to summon it sooner than later, it must have accelerated the summoning procedure… at least that’s what I think." Twilight told them. "A mystery for another day, I guess. For now, let's enjoy the party." Rumi proposed. "Agreed." Namine and Twilight both spoke much to their surprise. So they partied, Namine, Rumi and Luna all enjoying their first freedom in a thousand years. After a long day though, the party began to wind down, as all such things must. Twilight, for her part, was unsure of what she wanted to do. "What's the matter, Twilight? Aren't you happy that your job is over? Aren't happy that you'll be able to return to Canterlot and continue your studies?" Celestia asked her student upon noticing her despondent look. "Actually... I almost don't want to leave. I've made new friends here and I don't want to say goodbye." Twilight admitted before adding something else. "But I also want to get to know Luna, Rumi and Namine better and help them get used to the modern day." Celestia nodded and then smiled when an idea came up – a teasing one for her student. "Does this involve being around Luna's son?" She asked. Twilight blushed hard at that. "I have no idea what you're talking about." She summarily denied. Celestia giggled at her denial. "Why do I feel... like you are just delaying the inevitable?" She wondered. "I am doing no such thing." Twilight said in full tsundere mode. Her mentor was just teasing her. Nothing more, nothing less. "Sure you are..." Celestia teased with a smirk on her face. Twilight was a blushing incoherent mess at this point. It didn’t escape Celestia’s gaze as she giggled with a smirk. "Better hurry though... My nephew might get tied down." She warned before adding something with the smirk still there. "Of course, there are those old herding laws still on the books..." Twilight blushed heavily. "P-princess, stop i-it! P-please!" She pleaded. "Twilight, do you want to stay in Ponyville?" Celestia asked. Twilight didn't agree or disagree... in truth she did want to stay in Ponyville. Not only to be surrounded by her new friends but also get to know Rumi and Namine a little bit better. Especially Rumi… "I think it might be wise for Luna and her family to take up residence here as well. Certainly much better than being pressured constantly by stuffy nobles..." Celestia trailed off. Twilight was surprised by what her mentor said. "But... she's your sister!" "Yes, which means I know her temperament better than most. She would have little patience for the way politics are played in the modern day and until she gets acclimated to the present, she'd simply try, fail, and punish herself for her failure," Celestia sighed. "Oh..." Twilight could see what her mentor was referring to. Then she realized that her mentor's plan to keep Luna here also meant her reconnecting with her son... hmm, interesting. With all of that cleared up, Twilight made up her mind and came to a decision. "I want to stay... to learn about the magic of friendship." Twilight declared while thinking in her mind. And possibly to get closer to Rumi… Oof, why I am thinking about him already? "Then it shall be so. From today on, you will live here in Ponyville, studying the magic of friendship," Celestia declared. A great cheer went up when the news was announced that Twilight and Luna's family would be staying in Ponyville. A little later after the party died down, Celestia was ready to depart back for Canterlot only for Namine to stop her. "Celestia?" The blonde spoke. "Yes, Namine?" Celestia responded. Namine stared at the princess, unsure of how to proceed. Then she sighed and decided to get the question out of the way. "Did you really cry when I was turned to stone? Did you view me as a daughter?" "Ah, Twilight must have told you... I know it is foolish of me. I know you're likely angry with me for turning you and your loved one into stone. Yet despite all that, yes, I came to see you as my daughter as Luna saw Rumi as her son." Celestia confessed truthfully. Namine was surprised before she sighed in frustration. "Ugh! This is wrong... I don't know how to deal with this!" "I understand." Celestia said with a touch of melancholy in her voice. "It is a big thing to spring on you, given recent events. You and I have plenty of time, Namine. You are free to give me your answer later." Namine nodded, turned away and started to walk away yet she couldn’t keep the tears from leaking from her eyes. Why…? I’m older than her and I’m still a little mad at her for turning me to stone… but still… why can’t I stop the tears from leaking? Why… Celestia watched Namine go and sighed heavily. "Well, Celestia, you seem to really have a talent for upsetting your family..." She really needed to work on restoring her relationship with her nephew and her daughter figure. If she can… Author's Note Okay, not gonna lie - I was impressed on how well the story and pairing was received by the readers! Thank you for giving the story a chance - hopefully you'll enjoy the rest of the future chapters! Expect more of Luna and Rumi bonding, Namine trying to figure things out between her and Celestia and Twilight trying to find ways to win Rumi's heart. More to come as soon as I update other stuff - enjoy! As usual, I don't own Kingdom Hearts nor My Little Pony - they belong to their respective writers. The Key's Unexpected Meeting (Part 1)!A few days had passed since Princess Luna, formerly known as Nightmare Moon, had returned to normal and reunited with her adoptive son Rumi. In that time she had taken up permanent residence in Ponyville in order to be close to her baby boy and his newly acquired girlfriend, much to the spiky-haired wielder’s embarrassment. At first, Luna had a little trouble fitting in due to her status as the Princess of Night and because people were still a little afraid that she might end up relapsing into Nightmare Moon once more. Though Rumi and Namine tried their best to assure the people that she wouldn’t end up as the Demon of the Night, it didn’t have the effect that the couple were looking for. Another issue was Luna’s attempting to adapt to the current age of Equestria - things like magazines, games, movies and such were unfamiliar to her. It made sense since she was banished to the moon a thousand years ago. None of these things had existed and except maybe magazines, they hadn’t even been in the wildest dreams of ponies. Unfortunately the only balm for this problem would be time and exposure. When not focusing on helping his mother adapt to the modern Equestria, Rumi was training in the use of summoning Kingdom Key. He didn’t learn any fighting styles yet since he was still a newcomer in the art of swordsmanship. Namine had started him off learning forms and katas, saying he needed to be able to walk before he ran. When posing a question on when he would start learning stuff, Namine just told him the following words: “Patience, my King. Your time to learn the abilities will come… for now though, just keep up a positive attitude and keep practicing the basics until you’ve mastered it fully.” Despite the disappointing answer, Rumi obeyed his love and continued to practice until the basics were mastered fully. It wasn’t easy at first though… largely due to the fact that his Keyblade seemed to resist his commands. Ever since he had first summoned his Keyblade, he had needed to fight to summon it to his hand. No matter how many times he attempted to master it, it was a miserable failure… at least that’s what it was like at first. However as the days passed, summoning became easier until it was second nature. Yet the question of why this had happened in the first place still lingered in his mind. One day after another summoning lesson had wrapped up, Namine gave her love a kiss on the cheek and smiled. “That was good, Rumi… you’ve managed to master the summoning fully. Well done.” Rumi smiled back at his girlfriend and blushed due to the kiss. “I have a pretty good teacher and queen to help me.” He told her. Those words earned him another kiss from Namine. “You are such a flatter… but thank you. I aim to please the king of my dreams. Now that you’ve fully mastered the techniques of summoning, we can move on to teaching you how to link your practice forms into a real fighting style and adding some basic magic into the mix,” She explained to him. With a nod, Rumi summoned the Kingdom Key and stood to attention. “Ready to get started, my Queen!” Namine giggled. Rumi was definitely the spitting image of Sora - albeit more mature, serious and horny… just what she was looking for in a man. “Charmer~ Anyways, we’ll start off with basic attacks on a couple of training dummies - each and everyone single one will be very easy to beat, Rumi. For this first day of fighting, we’ll just be focusing on light and heavy hits… and maybe two started abilities: Dodge Roll and Guard. Unlike the normal actions of the same name anyone can do, a true Dodge Roll or Guard are infused with some magic to make them immensely more useful. Ready to get started?” Namine asked. Rumi nodded as Namine focused her magic to conjure a pair of training dummies with wooden weapons. From the looks of things, they looked like daggers and spears. It should be a very easy training session with weapons like these. “Alright, my King - give it all you’ve got and make me the happiest woman ever!” Namine declared before snapping her fingers and animating the wooden puppets to attack. A wooden puppet charged forward with the wooden spear yet Rumi dodged out of the way and attacked it from behind. It immediately shattered into dust yet the fight wasn’t over as the second opponent launched itself in the air. Unlucky for it, Rumi quickly dodged out of the way as the wooden puppet landed onto where the spiky-haired wielder was before it was eliminated and turned to dust. Namine nodded. “Good work, my King. But don’t think for a second that this training session is at its end. Prepare for the next set of opponents.” She told him before conjuring another set of wooden dummies. The dummies began their attack yet Rumi focused all of his strength and took them on one-by-one. All of them were armed with either a wooden sword or spear yet were very easy to eliminate just like the last group. A few hits and dodges later, Rumi had eliminated the final puppet from the second group that had appeared. Namine was happy and awarded her boyfriend with a clapping. “You’re learning fast, my King. I’m impressed… and somewhat horny for you. Once we wrap up training, I hope you’ll find some time in your schedule for a little ‘fun’.” Rumi immediately knew what type of ‘fun’ she meant and hugged her from behind. “For you, I’ll always find time, Nami.” He assured and kissed her lips. Namine smirked and kissed back. “Oh, you’re so good to me.” Rumi smiled gently and continued kissing her without a care in the world. After a few seconds, they broke off. “Now that we’ve had our first fighting session, it’s only proper I award you with the first two abilities that you will use in your arsenal - Dodge Roll and Guard. Here you go.” Namine declared before snapping her fingers and conjuring two orbs with silhouetted pictures of Rumi who performed a roll and a block with Kingdom Key. Rumi took the orbs and they went inside his body as it glowed an aura of sorts. He was now gifted with two of Sora’s abilities that should be useful in future battles. “Good, Rumi. As we finish more training sessions, I’ll award you with more abilities that should be useful. Oh! That reminds me - I’ll start working on your armored bodysuit so you can use the darkness without fear of corruption.” Namine explained and Rumi nodded. “Right… ready to head back?” Rumi asked. Just as Namine was about to speak however a portal opened behind her as a stone tablet with a broken spear indent had fallen onto the ground. There was something written on it in a strange language: ‘ Fod hi paar aan sovrahzun uv aan fahdon, zaan “Dovahkiin” ahst him tinvaak. Gein uv ney do mu fen kos til naal faal Drem do Sil uv faal Rahgol do Yol.’ Rumi noticed the portal closing and immediately assumed that it was Namine’s doing. “Nami… did you use your magic to create a portal?” He wondered curiously. Namine made a confused look. “No… why do… Huh?” She trailed off while turning around and seeing the stone tablet on the grass ground which caused her face to morph into a surprised one. “Huh? Where did this…” Namine trailed off as she went to examine the stone tablet. She kneeled and checked it out from top to bottom along with the weird text inscribed on it. “Hmmm… interesting.” She commented. Rumi kneeled next to her before posing a question. “What’s so interesting about it, love?” “These words on the tablet… they… hmm, if my memory serves me right… it’s related to a world I visited during my role as ‘Second Chosen One’... Tamriel, I think it was called.” Namine explained. “Like… The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?” Rumi asked with Namine nodding. “Exactly… you’ve played the game?” Namine wondered. Rumi nodded and explained. “Only a couple of parts… I love the soundtrack and the setting though I haven’t gotten much farther into the game. Mainly due to me focusing more on Oblivion and other sorts of fun games… how much do you know about Skyrim though?” He asked. Namine placed a finger on her chin to think. “Hmmm… well, during my stay there, I was put under the tutelage of the Greybeards who taught me a lot about the world of Skyrim and its people. It was a time when the Empire and the Stormcloaks were at each other’s throats and a war was looming on the horizon. It was… quite an experience though I didn’t care about the politics. Master Arngeir was a wise mentor… though I explained my existence towards him, he didn’t care. Sadly, I couldn’t learn the dragon shouts no matter how hard I tried. Eventually, I left Skyrim and continued on my world tour.” She finished explaining. Rumi nodded and his face morphed into an awed one. “Did you meet the leader of the rebellion or the Empire’s ruler though?” He wondered yet Namine shook her head. “Sadly, no. But if I had to say, I’m very lucky I avoided having an interaction with either head of their respective factions. Remember when I told you that I didn’t care about the politics… I mean it, Rumi. The Empire and The Stormcloaks are both flawed in their goals even though there are noble people among them. Let them fight it out among one another but leave me out of it.” Namine stated - her tone made it clear she wasn’t picking sides or kidding around. “Fair enough… so, what do we do with the stone tablet?” Rumi wondered. Namine also wondered about that as well - what could they do with this stone tablet…? Hmmm… from her time in Skyrim, she was able to at least memorize a small part of the dragon language. “I could try reading this and see if it will make any sense.” Namine stopped for a moment to clear her throat before focusing on the tablet’s words: “If my translation skills serve me correctly, all we have to do is shout 'Dragonborn' in their language... At least that's what I think it says. I’m not sure if I translated it correctly.” Namine said and immediately offered an apologetic look to Rumi. “Don’t worry about it… So, what does it mean though exactly? The words on the stone… a message of sorts or a clue?” Rumi wondered. Namine placed another finger on her chin to think… a message or a clue? Then she froze and her eyes widened… a message! Instructions of sorts on summoning some help! Huh, clever way to hide it. “It’s instructions, Rumi. At first glance, it might seem like an ordinary ‘message’ yet it isn’t. In order to summon this ‘mercenary’ or ‘friend’, one of us has to shout ‘Dragonborn’ in their language. I think we both can do it… yet maybe I should handle this one.” Namine explained. “If you think you can do it… are you sure though?” Rumi asked with a hint of hesitation in his words. Namine nodded, got up and closed her eyes before focusing on the matter at hand. She took a deep breath before releasing the shout. “Dovahkiin!” As soon as the last syllable exited her mouth, the very foundations of the earth began shaking as the word exploded. “Gah! What’s going on!?” Rumi wondered in a surprised tone. “I think we did a bad thing, Rumi!” Namine stated in a scared tone. Rumi held her tight to shield her. The shaking then stopped as suddenly as it started and a golden portal opened in front of the two. After a few seconds, a man dressed in Ancient Greek Armor exited the portal and removed his helmet, revealing an average looking young man with brown hair and eyes. “Well… that’s new.” Rumi commented. “So is being summoned,” the man commented back. “If anything, you need to get used to a lot of new and odd things happening. By the way, my name is Jaxon and I’ve been Displaced as a Greek themed Dragonborn. So, a Displaced Sora and a Displace Namine with a custom form?” “Close… I’m the real Namine. Flesh and blood - no Displaced traits over here.” Namine stated to Jaxon. “Before or after the third ‘official’ game?” He asked. “After the third game… a thousand years later.” Namine explained. “That long?” Jaxon wondered out loud. “Makes me think of how confusing it would be meeting someone with a similar or same name as those who you once knew.” Namine shrugged. “Most of the people that I was close with had moved on or passed away… I did everything I could to relieve the pain in my heart… yet nothing. Lucky for me, I had found my one true love.” The blonde stated before smacking Rumi’s ass. Rumi blushed heavily as Namine grinned in amusement. “Malaka,” Jaxon swore to himself as he averted his gaze from the two. “As if dealing with my wife’s flirty mentality is bad enough, I’m summoned by an ageless individual with teenage hormones and a mentality that matches.” Namine rolled her eyes at that statement. “Try living for a thousand years alone and then come find me… we’ll talk then about overactive libidos. Also, you have a wife?” She asked with a raised brow. “She was Displaced with me,” Jaxon explained. “I had purchased a set of bracers while she bought hist sap. She started as an air dragon/kappa hybrid, but now you can add argonian to the hybrid portion as well. And to better explain, my wife’s flirty personality is more her teasing me by drinking lots of water and making herself look more developed on both the top and bottom. Heck, she maimed a griffin with said assets before drowning him with the water she drank.” Namine whistled with a perverted grin on her face. “Sounds like my kind of woman… what’s her name though?” She wondered. “Aqua,” he answered. “Now you know why I spoke about the ‘same name’ issue thing.” Jaxon turned his attention to Rumi. “You’ve been silent for most of the conversation. You go by Sora, or some other name?” Rumi cleared his throat and began to speak. “Before I went as Sora, I was originally known as Rumen or Rumi as they called me… basically, my gal here was pretty alone and she was looking for the perfect man in her life… plus, she has been spying on me for a couple of years now. I guess we both found a sort of connection to one another.” He finished. “Wait… Aqua?” Namine asked in a surprised tone. “Her father named her,” Jaxon explained. “A Kappa father and an Air Dragon mother provide an interesting daughter who seemed to take to the water aspect of the Kappa species very quickly. The asset size changing is the Air Dragon aspect.” Namine shook her head. “Wait, wait… is she a human or a real-life dragon?” She asked. “Real-life dragon,” He answered. “Probably never thought of an alternate Earth where many magical species revealed themselves during the middle of the medieval period, and became buddy-buddy with humanity through to the present day.” “Ah… I panicked for a bit there. For a second, I thought that it might be a displaced Aqua from Kingdom Hearts until I heard ‘dragon’.” Namine said. “And this is where I unashamedly admit that I didn’t think of having her in an Aqua outfit for the convention,” Jaxon said, a light blush showing on his face. “I bet that she would have looked good in any cosplay you would have bought for her.” Namine replied with a cracked grin on her face. “With her abilities, I don’t doubt it,” he said. Namine raised a confused brow. “But she’s a dragon… isn’t she like a powerful being?” She wondered. “Different dragons have different abilities,” Jaxon said. He then suddenly pulled a bow off of his back and fired an arrow into the air. A frightened yelp was heard before a blue blur crashed into the ground just in front of him. “And stealth isn’t Rainbow’s best ability,” he added in a friendly teasing manner to the downed mare. Rainbow was on the ground with her eyes rolling with stars and moons circling around her head. Rumi felt a little sympathetic towards her before looking at Jaxon. “Don’t you feel that was a bit too harsh, dude?” He asked. “Getting dive bombed for being a perceived threat is not on my list of things to do today,” Jaxon said. “Not to mention that she had that unrestrained ‘look’ in her eyes. Unless I gave her a near lethal beatdown, she wouldn’t have listened to reason.” Rainbow shook her head before she got up and glared at Jaxon. “Get away from them!” She warned before flapping her wings and launching herself towards them. Jaxon didn’t move until she was almost ready to hit him. He crossed his arms and parried the flight boosted punch and then pulled a broken spear from his back and pointed it at her throat. “You’d do well to not jump to conclusions,” Jaxon said while glaring back at her. “Why are you intent on attacking me?” “Cause of the shout I overheard while resting! I overheard it and flew quickly so I could see what was the cause! And I saw you appearing! So, who are you exactly?” Rainbow demanded. “I am Jaxon, Dragonborn and Mercenary,” he stated as calmly as he could, his right eye twitching in barely restrained anger. “And I make it a policy to not be a threat unless made into one by hasty conclusions. I’ve taken out many bounties because they thought of me as an easy mark. Just as how you assumed me to be up to no good for just appearing from the aether.” Rainbow calmed down a bit but still kept her guard up. “How do I know that we can trust you?” She asked. “Trust me to do what?” Jaxon asked, a slight smirk showing on his face. The Element of Loyalty was stunned - she didn’t know what to say or think at this current moment. “Um… I… Um…” She was at a loss for words. “Exactly,” Jaxon said, cutting her off. “If it’s blind trust you’re thinking about, you can’t expect that out of anyone. However, if you want me to not cause trouble, you can trust me to not cause trouble, at least intentionally.” “In hindsight, Dash… maybe you should listen to Jaxon. I don’t think he's in any sort of trouble with a capital ‘T’.” Namine joked albeit still keeping a serious look. “I’m only trouble if you make me trouble,” Jaxon agreed with the former Nobody. Rainbow grumbled and backed off. “Okay, okay. I get your point…” She said albeit begrudgingly. Jaxon replaced the broken spear to his back, and smiled. “Now, is there anyone else coming to investigate this shout you mentioned?” He asked the group. “Not really. It’s just me.” Rainbow stated. “Then what is that dark speck in the sky flying just outside of my bow’s range?” He asked, pointing into the air. Dark speck in the sky…? Rumi, Namine and Rainbow looked up and saw none other than Luna landing gently on the ground before she rushed forward to check on her son. “Are you okay, honey?” She asked with motherly concern. “I’m fine, Mom… just a little misunderstanding with Jaxon here.” Rumi explained while pointing at Jaxon who just waved at Luna. “Greetings, Princess of the Night,” Jaxon said. He then turned towards Rumi. “And Mom? Can I have some context for what you just said?” Luna nodded albeit confused at what was happening. “Before we clear any misunderstandings… who are you exactly?” She asked. “I’m Jaxon, as your son(?) told you,” he bluntly said. “I’m a Dragonborn and a mercenary, currently not busy and not seeking to start trouble with anyone.” “A… Dragonborn?” Luna raised a brow. “A mortal born with the soul of a dragon...though, in my case, my soul was fused with a dragon soul when I was sent to the Equestria I live in,” Jaxon answered. Luna was surprised. “Another Equestria?” She asked. “Multiverse theory,” he began to explain. “Just imagine the ‘what if’ of Celestia getting corrupted instead of you and, in one way or several, that event happened in a different Equestria. Heck, I can point out one difference between this Equestria and the one I live in.” Luna nodded before Namine posed a question. “What’s the difference exactly?” “Well, aside from the obvious,” he said, pointing between himself and the two humans. “The way our world handled Nightmare Moon was a bit more...violent for her, and harrowing for me.” He reached into a satchel he had on him, pulling out a golden orb that seemed to have a power to it that made Namine shiver in barely restrained fear. “Mind control and having to get beaten up by a black dragon...not Alduin, thankfully.” “Oh, my god… an Apple of Eden.” Namine stated while shivering in visible fear. It was clear that she was getting a bad case of memories. “So you recognize it?” He said, putting it away. “Yes, Nightmare Moon temporarily brainwashed me into following her orders. Being in the trunk of your mind while something else is in the driver’s seat is...unsettling to say the least.” He rolled his shoulders before continuing. “I should also point out that after I was freed from the mind control, I gave her a beatdown worthy of Mortal Kombat, just before the Elements were used to bring Luna back and heal her...but not me, unfortunately.” “Yeah… unfortunately. Damn blasted artifact…” Namine admitted while shaking her head much to Luna and Rumi’s surprise. “You know about this Apple of Eden artifact?” Luna asked. Namine nodded and began to explain the situation more clearly. “I do… while visiting Rome during the Renaissance period, I was put under its spell and forced to do the dirty work of the Borgia. Naturally, I was quite brutal and cold while under its influence. Luckily, Ezio Auditore had managed to bring me to my senses… to gain back some retribution and help the people of Italy, I joined the Assassins temporarily. Once Cesare Borgia was defeated, Ezio and I parted ways before I continued on my world tour.” She finished. “Well, at least you got some justice,” Jaxon said. “If I’m thinking correctly, you managed to get the worst of that world in it’s most civilized state. Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece would have been more brutal if properly combined with that Apple’s influence.” Namine nodded. “Give how powerful the artifact is… I don’t even want to guess what the outcome would be if the Templars had gained the artifact in ancient times. Did you visit any other time periods though?” She asked. “I didn’t use an Animus,” Jaxon said. “Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. Good games, but almost too RPG.” “Ah. I see.” Namine replied - albeit a bit disappointed at the answer. She was definitely hoping that Jaxon would at least share more info on the Assassin’s Creed universe… yet nothing. “I should point out that when an Apple of Eden or other types of Isu Artifacts is in the right hands at the right times, many good things can happen,” Jaxon said. He then suddenly notched another arrow onto his bow and fired it in Luna’s general direction. Luna quickly dodged out of the way as Rumi, Namine and Rainbow gasped in shock. “Why did you launch an arrow at me!?” The Princess of the Night demanded while glaring at Jaxon. Jaxon didn’t respond, but he simply pointed in the direction he launched the arrow. Luna turned around and saw a small ant-like creature whose skin was black and his eyes completely yellow. Small antennas were twitching on its head along with its body. The arrow pierced its body and soon it was completely destroyed. “Something wicked, this way comes,” Jaxon said before drawing a short bronze sword and pulling the broken spear off of his back. Just as he finished getting his weapons ready, more small ant-like creatures had begun to spawn. Namine’s eyes widened while Rumi gasped. “The Heartless!?” He yelled and summoned Kingdom Key. “What are these things!?” Rainbow questioned. “Darkness given form,” Jaxon answered. “Heartless. Shadows, but be on your guard. Where there is one, potentially uncountable numbers can follow; and they come in all shapes, sizes, strengths, and weaknesses.” “Couldn’t have said it better myself!” Namine agreed as the Shadows rushed towards the group and prepared to attack. Before the Shadows could get too close, Jaxon yelled out and a red, flame-like aura lit up around him. He then charged into the horde and began slicing up the Heartless. Any scratches they managed to inflict on the warrior was ignored as he fought. Luna and Namine blasted a couple of them using their magic, Rumi fought them off with Kingdom Key while Rainbow used her speed to kick them away. After whittling down their numbers, Jaxon pulled out the Apple of Eden, scraped his broken spear across it, and then flung the spear at one of the Shadows. Said Shadow was impaled and pinned to the ground, but several golden strands wrapped itself around it, seemingly keeping it alive. Jaxon quickly moved to the debilitated Shadow and held the Apple above it. Namine had blasted another Heartless with her magic before noticing Jaxon raising the Apple. “Wait! What are you doing!?” She asked in a worried tone. “There’s more than one way to use an Apple of Eden,” he calmly responded. “In this case, I’m using it to analyze the Darkness in this Heartless to track it’s summoner. Keep me safe while I’m doing so.” “Isn’t it a bit dangerous to use though?” Rumi wondered while he sliced another Heartless with Kingdom Key. “Worry not. I’ve turned his broken spear into a pseudo-Isu Artifact and placed a backup of myself into it.” A disembodied voice sounded into Namine’s and Rumi’s ears. “If corruption can come from what he’s doing, the Apple will absorb the Darkness and then self-destruct. Protect him, or my actions will be in vain.” Rumi and Namine froze before they stared at one another. “THE APPLE SPEAKS!?” They both yelled in a shocked tone. “What’s with the yelling?” Jaxon asked as he paused his Apple usage to dodge a Shadow’s claws. “And are you gonna help or what?” Rumi and Namine were so disoriented by the fact that the Apple spoke that they didn’t even hear Jaxon’s orders at first until they snapped to attention and went to defend him from the Shadows that were preparing to attack him. However, the Heartless quickly suspected that something was amiss and slid in the ground much to everyone’s surprise. “Huh!? Where’d they go!?” Rainbow wondered with a lost expression. Did they win the battle? Suddenly a garbling sound was heard and Jaxon was knocked away from the downed Heartless and into Namine. The air then distorted before a Stealth Sneak ‘appeared’ where Jaxon was standing. “Malakas Lizard!” Jaxon yelled in rage as he climbed back to his feet and pulled an intact spear off of his back. “I’ll skewer you and roast you in butter and salt!” His red aura returned and he began to engage the Heartless. Namine slowly shook her head as Rumi rushed forward to check up on her. “You alright, Nami?” He asked - worry evident in his tone. Namine nodded only to spot something sitting next to her… something that made her shiver. “The Apple of Eden…” She whispered softly. Now came the question that was on her mind - what to do with it? Give it back to Jaxon… or use it? Author's Note So, normally I know it would be too early for a crossover... but the guy whom wanted to crossover was really eager to see his Dovahkiin/Dragonborn OC in my fanfic. Again, it's too early for crossovers but we'll see how you all enjoy the appearance of Jaxon (OC). Another thing is the focus on a harem for Rumi... hmm, I have started a small list: - Twilight; - Namine; So far, these are the two main candidates... for now. In the future, the list will be updated. Enjoy the chapter and happy reading! This story crossovers with Wayward Shadow's Strange Dovahkiin! Go and check it out along with giving a like from me! As usual, I don't own Kingdom Hearts nor My Little Pony - they belong to their respective writers. The Key's Unexpected Meeting (Part 2)!After Jaxon was tossed into Namine and moved to deal with the Stealth Sneak Heartless, Namine slowly shook her head as Rumi rushed forward to check up on her. Despite her past history with the Apple possessing her mind and making her do the Roman Rite of the Templar Order’s dirty work, Namine picked up very quickly even though her conscience was telling her otherwise. As soon as she stood up with the Apple in hand, a good half-dozen Neoshadow Heartless formed themselves and surrounded the former Nobody. Namine gulped at the Neoshadows. “Oh, dear…” She commented as the Neoshadow Heartless prepared to attack her yet Rumi quickly destroyed one and got in front of her. “Nami, you alright?” Rumi asked his girlfriend who nodded and regained her composure. “Now that you are here, my hero… I am.” Namine stated and prepared to fight as well using the Apple. The Heartless moved to pounce, but just at the arc of their jump, time seemed to slow down before stopping. Even Rainbow and Luna were affected by this… except for Rumi and Namine who were surprised. Before either could ask any questions, the Apple vibrated in Namine’s hand, scaring her into letting go of it, but it didn’t fall to the ground. Instead, it floated upward until a golden tinted hologram of a tall woman in a Techno-Ancient Greek dress appeared with the Apple staying where her heart would be. “Greetings, Eternal Lovers,” the holographic woman greeted. “I am Alethia. Rumi’s ancient ancestors would refer to me as the Goddess of Truth, and I have much to share.” Rumi and Namine stared at one another - their faces depicted complete surprise and a slight attraction to how beautiful this woman was. “So, that’s what you look like when you’re away from the insides of the Apple…” Namine commented. Alethia giggled a bit before speaking again. “Indeed, Former Chosen One. However, more pressing matters are needing to be addressed than what the Isu or Precursors, as you would say, look like.” Namine’s jaw dropped before she regained her composure. “How did you know who I am?” The blonde wondered. “The Isu are masters of creating Simulations,” she said. “The humans are limited on what Simulations they can make and use, but it is impressive all the same. The Simulations following you after Sora’s death is heartbreaking, but your actions upon studying and Displacing the Young Heir is intriguing.” Namine was surprised by her answer. “Wait, it is?” She asked. “Yes,” Alethia answered. “In most Simulations following Displaced, the world they are placed on is far from their home world. There are a few exceptions, like you and the Young Heir in this world. While Displacement brings one to a different universe, your displacement brought this world to this universe and sent the ‘original’ and Rumi’s home world to another.” “Oh…” Namine nodded but was still utterly confused. “I don’t really get it.” Rumi admitted with a shrug. “Then perhaps you can get Sea Salt Ice Cream later to celebrate your love,” Alethia teased with a flat look on her face. Namine blushed heavily and hid her face. “Ummm… well… I… Ooh… Umm…” She blurted out some incoherent words. “I understand your nervousness, but let’s not get too far away from the main topics,” Alethia continued. “Especially, the source of this particular incursion of Heartless.” Rumi nodded. “What exactly caused the arrival of these Heartless?” He wondered. “A mare with a Darkness I’ve never seen except in Juno’s heart,” she answered. “Her name is Spoiled Milk, but with her marriage, she goes by Spoiled Rich.” Namine’s face morphed into an annoyed one. “What…? You mean to tell me that Diamond Tiara’s mother is the cause of these Heartless? Why? She doesn’t have that much darkness in her… so, why?” She asked. “She has many dark desires, a considerable number of them she can’t act on due to various laws.” Alethia explained. “However, those, by themselves, only grant minor attention from the Heartless. Her actions behind closed doors and even in rare instances in public are what brought them here. The Heartless, urged by her dark desires without her even knowing of the Heartless, brought this incursion to you.” “Wait a minute… what has she done exactly that could be considered bad?” Rumi wondered. “Denying a child of love and attention,” Alethia said. “She would then torture the child by promising said love and attention if she lived up to her expectations, only to deny it. And if the child disobeys or falls short-” “Yeah… I can tell.” Rumi agreed with a nod. He knew what it was to be alone and unloved… yet that part of his life was over. Now it was the present. “Then you know what must be done?” Alethia asked him as if she knew his answer. “What… like… stealing her heart?” Rumi asked with a shrug. “If you had help from the Phantom Thieves, yes, but no,” Alethia answered. “Have an investigation started and be prepared for her potential fall to Darkness.” Rumi and Namine shared a glance with one another… they were unsure if that was an option. They would see what would happen in the end. “And now, it is time for you to share this information,” Alethia said, her form flickering before returning to the Apple. “One last gift from me in my final moments though.” The Apple floated over to the incapacitated Shadow before it’s darkness wrapped around it, removing it from it’s binds. A bright light flashed, nearly blinding Namine and Rumi as time resumed and the flash destroyed the Neoshadows that surrounded them. When the light faded, and the two could see clearly again, they were shocked at what was standing in front of them. It was a Neoshadow, but it was different. For one thing, its black skin was given a golden tint to them. It’s eyes glowed more golden than sickly yellow, the ‘cracks’ across it’s skin had changed to look like the skin markings that Alethia had, and one of its antennae had become pure gold. “Whoa… that’s… a new form of Neoshadow!” Namine realized - she had never seen this type of Neoshadow before. “It’s a lot different from the other versions in the games…” Rumi agreed. “I am different, due to the presence of Isu Tech in my proverbial veins,” the two heard in their heads before the Neoshadow seemingly teleported to the Stealth Sneak’s head, leaving behind a golden trail of sorts, and began clawing at its eyes. The two gasped in shock with their jaws dropped. A talking Heartless!? That was a first… The Stealth Sneak screeching out in pain shook them from their shock. Turning to Jaxon, they saw that he had impaled the Heartless through its chest. It took a swipe at him, forcing him to dodge and let go of the spear. The momentum of the swipe caused the spear’s bottom to hit the ground and force the spear further through the reptilian Heartless, at which point, Jaxon pulled it out through the creature’s back. The Heartless then began to dissolve and it’s heart left through the sky. The battle had concluded yet Rumi and Namine were still trying to process what just happened… a Talking Heartless, a goddess hidden inside the Apple… everything. A ‘thud’ sound near them shook them from their shock again. They looked near their feet and saw the Neoshadow was impaled by Jaxon’s spear, but it had broken in the impact, leaving the shaft nearby. Jaxon then stepped forward and ripped the golden antennae off of it. As soon as he did so, his face morphed into pain as a hologram of a Darkside Heartless appeared behind him. Namine saw him and sighed while shaking her head. “This day is becoming more and more weirder by the minute… and believe me, Rumi - I’ve seen some of the weirdest things in my time traversing the universe.” She explained. The Hologram Darkside reached out towards Jaxon as a voice was heard by all present. “Work in the Darkness, to serve the Light.” The hologram and Jaxon’s pained expression disappeared and Jaxon held the Apple instead of an antennae. He looked at where the Neoshadow was and an apple (fruit) was impaled on the newly broken spear. “Interesting quote… where does it come from if I may ask?” Luna spoke at last. “The Assassin Brotherhood use that as part of their Creed to keep humanity free,” Jaxon said as he put the Apple away and picked up his broken spears. “But moving away from inspirational quotes, did the Apple reveal any information on that Heartless incursion?” “Quite a doozy actually… you ain’t gonna believe it when we tell you.” Rumi stated. “Mind controlling artifacts, a magical dragon wife, and odd rules concerning harvesting unicorn horns for alchemy, and you think I would have a hard time believing information on Heartless?” Jaxon asked with a slight smirk. Namine made a couple of face gestures and realized that Jaxon had a point. “Fair enough… so, are you aware that Alethia is actually a Greek Goddess of sorts?” “One of the obscure ones, but why bring up Alethia?” He asked. “Cause she appeared in front of us… in human form.” Rumi admitted with a deadpan look. “Ah…” Jaxon said as he pulled out the Apple. “I don’t feel her in the Apple though. Did the scan kill or corrupt the Alethia Replica?” “Alethia Replica…?” Namine asked with a raised brow. “Did she appear as a hologram or did she have flesh and blood?” He asked. “Oh! Oh… ummm, hologram.” Namine answered. “Then Alethia, while real, was a Replica, due to the fact that most Flesh and Blood Isu are dead.” Jaxon explained. “Dead races aside, the Heartless incursion. What’s the source?” “I’m curious to know as well.” Luna agreed with Jaxon’s words. Rumi and Namine shared another glance before nodding. “A young woman by the name of Spoiled Milk… though she now goes by Spoiled Rich.” She explained. “Ah, that mare,” Jaxon said with a look of bored annoyance on his face. “Not sure what she did or is doing here to cause that much chaos here, but back in my Equestria, she was imprisoned thrice for attempted assault on my wife and vandalism of my wife’s alchemy shop.” He then chuckled. “Though to be honest, the attempted assault was amusing. Any strike would literally bounce off of her.” “I see... “ Namine replied with a nod. “Wait… so, Filthy Rich’s wife is responsible for these Heartless showing up?” Rainbow asked in a surprised tone. “Might be unintentional, but who knows...because I don’t,” Jaxon said. “Don’t what?” Rumi asked confused. “I don’t know if Spoiled summoned them on purpose, on accident, or if she was even aware of what she did,” Jaxon answered with a strained and annoyed voice. “Put two and two together when someone speaks.” “I agree with Jaxon… according to what I’ve learned, Spoiled is a lot of things I wouldn’t dare say but I believe she doesn’t have a clue on what she has done.” Luna replied. “Thank you, Luna,” Jaxon said. “Now, what’s the plan going forward with finding the full details and also handling more Heartless?” “Oh! Ummm… we’re not sure yet.” Rumi admitted with a shrug. “Then while you figure that out, may I see my token that you used to summon me?” Jaxon asked. Namine nodded and took out the token that she had used to summon Jaxon earlier before giving it to the Dragonborn. He then took his broken spear and placed it into the indent and it glowed briefly and a golden portal opened next to him. He stuck his head through the portal and a muffled, “Honey, can you come here?” was heard from Jaxon. After pulling his head back from the portal, the portal expanded a bit and a large, draconic form stepped through. The figure’s body was moss green scales with peach fuzz fur of the same color. The spines of a typical dragon were replaced with longer hair that was a loquat yellow, with tufts of hair and her belly and partial chest region following the same color. Her head, however, had loquat yellow feathers instead of hair. “Something you needed, Jax?” The dragonoid asked. Rumi whistled in awe. “Wow. That’s amazing!” He stated. The dragonoid looked to Rumi with a smile. “Thank you, young man,” She said. “So, you go by Sora or something else...and is that Namine!?” Namine nodded - from the look on her face, she was also impressed. “In the flesh… I’m the real one. As for Sora… he isn’t Sora per say. This is my boyfriend Rumen or Rumi for short.” She explained. Before more could be said, the dragonoid scooped up Namine into a strong, but not back breaking, hug. “You are one of my favorite Kingdom Hearts Characters!” She said while ‘cuddling’ the former Nobody. “Second only to Aqua! Speaking of which, Jax, remind me to commission Rarity a replication of her outfit for me!” Jaxon nodded with a barely noticeable blush on his face. Namine blushed as well. “Ummm… I’m honored that you love my outfit…” She hid her face behind her hands. “I was talking about Aqua’s outfit,” the dragonoid explained. “Speaking of Aqua, my name is Aqua too. I hope it won’t be too confusing.” Namine’s face morphed into a deadpan one. “It will… trust me.” She replied. “Full body contact introduction aside, should we head into town, maybe see about checking out Spoiled?” Jaxon asked. “I’m up for whatever,” Aqua said. “Just so long as she doesn’t assault me. It was funny to use my belly like a Large Body does the first two times she did, but after that-” She gave a bit of a slight grimace. Namine’s eyebrows arose. “After what exactly?” She asked. “Malaka! Two and Two! Put them together!” Jaxon shouted, causing Aqua to unintentionally drop Namine to pick him up and hug him into a calm state. Namine landed on her butt before getting up and dusting off the dirty parts of her dress. Rumi went to check up on her. “You okay, love?” He asked his girlfriend. “I’m fine, love. Just my butt… nothing serious.” She assured him with a smile. “Anyway, the Rich’s?” Jaxon asked. “Should we get going to investigate what Alethia gave you concerning her?” “You all can head on and investigate… After what just happened today, Rumi and I want some peace and quiet.” Namine replied with Rumi nodding. “That sounds good,” Aqua agreed. She turned to Luna and Rainbow. “I think you two should come with us as well. You might be helpful.” Luna nodded as did Rainbow. Both of them were curious to see if Alethia and Jaxon’s theories turned out to be true. Luna turned to her child. “You’ll be alright for a little bit, right hon?” She asked in a motherly tone. Rumi nodded. “I will, Mom. Don’t worry.” He assured his adoptive mother. Luna nodded and led the small group towards Ponyville, leaving him and Namine alone. “So, how are we doing this? Busting down the door or immediately going with an ‘Objection’ on her ass?” Rainbow asked while she followed Luna, Jaxon and Aqua to Spoiled’s house. “Stealth and distraction,” Jaxon said. “While Luna can distract the Rich’s, Aqua, Rainbow and I can work on infiltrating the other parts of their mansion for information.” “Hmmm… sounds like a solid plan. Though… what happens if we get caught?” Luna wondered. “While I’m sure both you and Celestia hesitate to do so, your Royal Authority could help in that regard,” Aqua said. “Then again, all I should help with is getting inside rather than the actual stealth. Most pony doors don’t agree with my butt.” Luna wasn’t sure about the outcome of the mission at hand and all she could do was sigh. “I hope nothing bad happens…” As the Rich Mansion came into view, Luna let the others sneak around to the back of the house while she continued to the front door. The group arrived at the back of the house and looked at the many windows. “Rainbow, think you can carefully examine the windows to find an office area or a master bedroom of sorts?” Jaxon asked the prismatic pegasus. Rainbow nodded and flew up into the air to see if there were any open windows available along with the one leading to either an office or master bedroom. Soon, she did see an open window of sorts. “I think I found one!” She called as quietly as she could. Jaxon nodded and looked to Aqua, who nodded as well. She picked up Jaxon and gently tossed him toward Rainbow, who caught and carefully and quietly swung him inside. “Keep an eye on the front door, or the front window if possible,” He quietly called down to his wife. “Rainbow and I will check things out.” Aqua nodded and began walking toward the front of the house, leaving Rainbow and Jaxon alone. “So, what’s the plan exactly?” Rainbow wondered. “Snoop through everything until we find something,” Jaxon said as he found a desk and began quietly going through the drawers. “And keep your eyes and ears open at all times. We can’t be too careful on avoiding detection.” “So… like super spies in a sense?” Rainbow asked. “Yes, but don’t let that get to your head,” he said as he finished looking through the desk and began ruffling through a waste bin. “Being stealthy is hard and sometimes to keep things secret, said things need to get messy.” “Ain’t that the truth.” Rainbow agreed with Jaxon. “Hopefully, it’ll only be as messy as a blunt object to the back of the head rather than a dagger to the throat,” Jaxon said as he pulled out a discarded bottle and a few depleted makeup containers. “I don’t think Spoiled drinks or is overly concerned with her looks to the point of emptying several makeup containers.” He showed them to Rainbow. “Anything you can make of these?” “Hmmm… not really. Rarity is the expert when it comes to fashion.” Rainbow admitted with a shrug. “Good to know, but I think there’s more to these than one would think,” he muttered loud enough for Rainbow to hear. He then moved to a cabinet that seemed slightly out of place in the office. Opening it, he found more bottles and makeup containers, but they were filled with their respective liquids and such. “If you were to see them filled, could some details be filled in for you?” He pulled out one of the green bottles and showed it to her. Rainbow examined it more closely and then her eyes widened in surprise. “That’s… a healing potion, isn’t it?” She asked. “Only one way to find out,” Jaxon said as he pulled out his broken spear and sliced open his leg, before popping the bottle’s cork and guzzling the green liquid. In a few short seconds after he finished, the leg sealed itself up as if the wound wasn’t there. “And that confirms it. So that’s one piece, but now the makeup. Why does she have this much to begin with? And I think it’s the wrong tone of pink to be used by Spoiled herself.” He pulled out the makeup and smeared some of it on the back of his hand and showed it to Rainbow. “Any thoughts on whose color this is?” Rainbow examined it more closely before realizing that there was something definitely off about this particular color. “Huh, you’re right… something is definitely off with the color.” She agreed with Jaxon. “And we won’t clearly know unless we find more evidence,” Jaxon said, turning back to the waste bin. “If you find anything, let me know.” Rainbow nodded and continued searching the room - desk drawers, nightstands, a safe of some kind… and then when she peaked under the sheets of the bed, she saw a book of sorts. “Hello, hello… what’s this?” Rainbow asked as she took out the book from the bed. “Found something?” Jaxon asked as he carefully uncrumpled some small pieces of paper from the bin. “Yeah, it’s a… diary of sorts.” Rainbow read the cover on the book ‘The Journal of Spoiled Rich - DON’T TOUCH!!!’ “Give it a bit of a look through,” Jaxon instructed. “It might have some sort of information on something dealing with the potions and makeup.” “Hmmm… why not give it a look yourself? I mean, you’re the detective and whatnot.” Rainbow said with a shrug. “I’m a mercenary with detective skills, and who is using said skills to see if there are receipts for those potions and makeup,” Jaxon shot back as he set one of the pieces of paper to the side. “Oh…” Rainbow said before she opened the diary to peek at what was being written inside while Jaxon continued to check the room for evidence. “Ah!” Jaxon quietly exclaimed. “A makeshift ‘receipt’ for the potions. Quite an expensive venture, considering that the potions were bought from who I assume is a thief.” “What the hell!?” Rainbow sounded off - from the sounds of her tone and swear, it was clear that she was furious. “What?!” Jaxon asked, jumping to his feet and pulling out his broken spear. His attention shifted to both Rainbow and the door to the rest of the mansion, just in case the pegasus’ exclamation attracted unwanted attention. Rainbow’s face morphed into an angry one as she shoved the diary in Jaxon’s hands. “Read and you’ll see what I’m angry about.” She told him. Taking the book, he opened it and began to read. First was opening words written by Spoiled describing her everyday activities and whatnot… then a couple of to-do tasks… Rainbow was overlooking Jaxon’s shoulder and eagerly awaiting to see the pages that infuriated her. It would be an interesting reaction. As soon as he turned to the first of the anticipated pages, he stopped. The many horrendous actions that Spoiled had listed for whatever reason or frustration, and then carried out… “Rainbow, do us all a favor and get this information to whatever authorities are nearby, sans Luna,” Jaxon said through angrily clenched teeth while handing the book back to her. “I’m going to stay here and incinerate this room. Much better than roasting the Spoiled B**** alive.” Rainbow was surprised by his words but quickly flew out of the room… something in the back of her head told her that Jaxon’s actions were going to be rather interesting. She kept looking over her shoulder as she flew, waiting for the results. Before long, the exterior wall and roof sections connected to the room were blasted off of the building in a fiery explosion. Rainbow’s jaw dropped. “What the hell… Sweet Celestia.” She swore with a sigh. In the meantime, Rumi and Namine were enjoying a brief moment of love when an explosion rocked off the ground much to their surprise. “Whoa!” Rumi swore as he saw a huge explosion in the distance. “That’s… a thing.” Namine admitted with a sigh. It was clear what was going on and who was being that explosion. Back with Rainbow, she was still in disbelief at what Jaxon did to the entire room. “Dude, what the hell was that!?” She shouted. A humanoid fireball leaped from the flames and onto the ground. “Anger management, Pride Parade!” Jaxon shouted back, as the flames on him extinguished. Rainbow’s eyebrow arose. “What…?” She asked. “Just get that booklet to the authorities, I’ll cover you here!” He answered loudly before turning back towards the mansion. Rainbow was confused by his words yet quickly bolted away from the mansion using her wings and heading straight for the police station. While she was flying and was out of sight, everyone in the mansion filtered out from inside, Luna sending a mean looking scowl towards Jaxon. Various fire ponies began arriving at the scene and began working on fighting the fire. Jaxon had taken several steps back while things were playing out. “What the fuck!?” Someone called out - Namine. She and Rumi were running straight for the mansion. “Just wait for Rainbow to return with the guards,” Jaxon said as they neared him and the mansion. “This will look like a simple punch to the face compared to the evidence we have against Spoiled B****.” Namine sent him a look. “When you said that you would take care of this situation, I thought it would be like making sure that you just gathered evidence and then head for the police… not start a goddamn FIRE!” “While I apologize for doing it, I don’t regret it,” Jaxon stated simply. “It was either the room, or Spoiled B**** herself before she is properly tried...at least the receipts and a few of the items survived with me.” Namine shook her head while pinching the bridge of her nose as Rumi spoke with his mother. “How bad are we talking about, Mom?” Luna looked at Jaxon. “How ‘bad’ exactly?” She asked with a hint of sarcasm. Jaxon looked back at her before speaking. “Let’s just say, Nightmare Moon is a saint compared to what that B**** did to Diamond Tiara.” He pulled out a healing potion and a rough piece of parchment. “Illegally purchased healing potions from a thief.” He pulled out a makeup container. “Makeup for when the potions started getting too expensive to cover reliably.” He then looked to the side, seeing Rainbow arriving with a small squad of guards. “And Rainbow has the journal to tie those two together, and reveal the crime.” “Journal? What journal?” Luna asked Jaxon. He pointed in Rainbow’s direction as she flew over to the group. “Here.” Rainbow presented the journal to Luna who began to read it from top to bottom. “Is the journal that much important?” Rumi wondered. “Some people are idiots and leave evidence laying around, while others carefully hide them,” Jaxon said. “Spoiled is right between the two categories, hiding the evidence, but not very well.” Rumi nodded slowly as Luna finished and dropped the journal. Her face was one of anger. “I can see why you acted the way you did, Jaxon… she’s a piece of work.” “I’m not condoning my own actions, but I’m not regretting them,” Jaxon said as he looked towards the Rich family, and saw Spoiled being dragged away in cuffs and Diamond Tiara standing by Filthy with a conflicted look on her face. Rumi also saw it and couldn’t help but sigh. “I wonder what the repercussions will be…” He admitted while shaking his head. Namine was also worried as well as she placed a hand on boyfriend’s shoulder. “Given how Jaxon reacted and Spoiled is taken away… I’d say very bad.” “Speaking of repercussions,” Aqua said as she approached the group and picked Jaxon up by his belt, causing him to wince in pain and end up flipped upside down. “I’m gonna be taking this fella home and hopefully find anger management classes for him to attend.” “I regret nothing!” Jaxon said from his awkward position as a portal opened up and they left through it. Rumi, Namine and Luna couldn’t help but sigh at how stressful this day turned out to be. “What a stressful day... I just hope we don't regret this,” Luna said before looking at the remaining group with a little idea in mind. “Anyone up for some Chineighse?” Rumi and Namine shrugged with smiles on their face. Some Chineighse would do them good… The three departed to get some lunch and tried to not think too much about the repercussions of this day. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too much trouble... Author's Note Oh, my god - I'm such an idiot. I forgot to put in Part 2 of the Displaced Sora story... yeah, that was a bad indication on my part. Sorry about that! So, yeah - here's the continuation of the crossover chapter with Jaxon and Aqua! The second and final part the crossover with Wayward Shadow's Strange Dovahkiin! Go and check it out along with giving a like from me! Again, sorry for making you all wait for the next chapter! My bad on that... I forgot that I wrote it and then forgot to update the story lmao - Sorry! As usual, I don't own Kingdom Hearts nor My Little Pony - they belong to their respective writers. More to come soon! The Key goes on a date with the Witch...Days had passed since the ‘Spoiled Milk’ incident and things had been mostly calm in Ponyville… of course, there was the incident with a bunch of tickets for the Canterlot Grand Gala and Applejack’s strange bucking season. They were resolved without any compilations… Although in the Element of Honesty’s case, she ended up being exhausted due to her stubbornness. As for Rumi, he continued to train with the Keyblade to make sure his skills were still up to par. He had managed to learn a couple of Sora’s old moves such as Strike Raid or Sonic Blade. To test them, he asked for Twilight’s help in conjuring some practice dummies for him to practice with… along with her trying once or twice to pass on a simple flirt much to his embarrassment. And if that wasn’t enough, his queen was also flirting with him but he didn’t mind it since Namine was very special to him. In fact, he started to question himself if there was a way to repay her back somehow… hence why today was a very special day for him. The boy was walking down the dirt road towards the Golden Oaks library so he could question Twilight on where the nearest restaurant in Equestria was so that he could reserve a spot for him and his girlfriend. He was sure there was one - maybe in Canterlot or another city like Manehatten. But there was one serious issue on his mind - how to step forward and ask his queen out on a date. He felt so nervous and scared of everything going wrong on this date… what if Namine ended up being mad? He loved her yes but he didn’t know how’d she react if the date was messed up. Would she hold it against him? God, he hoped now… As he walked, the Golden Oaks Library came into view and soon he was at the front door. Taking a deep breath, he dusted himself off. “Okay, Rumi… just ask Twilight for any popular locations for a restaurant around Equestria… it won’t be hard.” Yes, that was his plan… and he was about to put it to work. Plus, he was only going to ask Twilight. How hard would it be? Actually, he ignored it and tried not to think. Then he knocked on the door and waited. The door sooned opened as Twilight stepped out with a yawn and rubbed her eyes… which sooned widened when she saw who had knocked on her door. “O-oh, hi Rumi! You’re up early!” Rumi chuckled. “I guess I am… you know the old saying: Early bird gets the worm. I’m here for a favor though, Twi.” Twilight’s eyes widened and she blushed. “A f-favor!? O-of course! Oh, where are my manners!? Come on in and we’ll discuss it better.” She invited him inside for breakfast which was a good thing since Rumi didn’t manage to eat today due to getting up early and leaving the house to practice with the Keyblade. Soon, they were both at a dining table and chatting while enjoying some eggs and bacon with toast that came with coffee. “So, what did you want to talk about?” Twilight asked after taking a bite from her eggs. Rumi took a sip from his coffee before speaking. “I’m in need of a very fancy restaurant ASAP… truth is, I wanna invite Namine out on a date.” He admitted while blushing. “Really?” Twilight was surprised. “Yeah… so, I’m wondering if you know of any nearby spots for a fancy restaurant… if you know some, of course.” Twilight placed her purple-skinned finger on her chin and went silent for a bit. Rumi had to guess that she was thinking of the place at this very moment so all he did was eat his breakfast and remained silent while awaiting an answer. Drinking his coffee, he also wondered if Twilight wouldn’t try to muscle in on his date with his queen. Knowing her feelings towards him and her on-going flirting the chances were quite high. He wondered how long it would take for her to admit that she had feelings for him. Probably a long time since she had difficulties expressing how she felt towards others - be it friends or family. After a while, she finally came up with an answer. “I do know a couple of fancy restaurants around Canterlot. Most of whom I visited with my folks but if you’re looking for one where the couples dine… I might just have the place that you’re looking for.” “Oh?” Rumi was intrigued. Twilight nodded and left the table for a moment to go and get some maps of Canterlot. Then she returned to Sora and showed him all the various hot-spots around Celestia’s castle town. “This is all of Canterlot - around here, there’s a couple of jewelry stores and a pizzaria however if you want a classy place to wine and dine, I’d recommend ‘Golden Chef’ - their cooking skills are off the chart. Namine will definitely find it to her satisfaction. Also, you can take her out to the local Canterlot park after dinner… the stars out there are very beautiful to look at.” Rumi nodded and memorized every detail that Twilight had given him. The Golden Chef and an evening at the park… sounds like a plan. He couldn’t wait until he asked his girlfriend out. First though he had to call the restaurant in advance or write to them to save up a reservation. Then he’d have to pick a good uniform dress… or he’d just stick in his usual attire. But he’d definitely be showering and preparing for the date. After breakfast, Twilight gave him all the information he needed on the restaurant and as if she read his mind also offered locations of various shops that he would want to visit in preparation for the date. Later, he left the library and headed home to check up on everything and how his mother was doing. Half-way though he couldn’t help but stop and look around. “Why do I get the strange feeling someone’s watching me… hmmm, must be cause of that breakfast.” He concluded and continued on his way… Only to stop once more and look around. Odd but he was sure that something or someone was watching him from the shadows. Was it the wind or maybe a rabbit? It must have been… Continuing on his way, he tried to ignore it… but failed to notice that someone was indeed watching him. A cloaked figure whose face was covered and hiding behind a tree. They kept their gaze entirely on the unsuspecting Sora who was still walking home. “Sora…” The figure whispered, the voice betraying that she was a girl. But her face was still hidden by the hood. Who and what her goals were nobody knew but one thing was known. She had a secret relation to Sora and she would soon attack to find out - find out why he was still alive and why he was in this world. But for now, she had to be patient and wait… (Days later…) “Oh, you are just so precious, baby! So adorable!” Luna squealed while her son hid his face from her motherly gaze. Rumi was dressed in a formal outfit and felt embarrassed enough as it is. His mother wasn’t helping at all with her teasing. It was just one date but Luna decided to embarrass him to the max… “M-mom! S-stop it!” In response, Luna snuggled him. “Like that’s happening, young man! My boy’s going on his first day and it’s my duty to embarrass you as best he can!” “Nooooo… Mom…” Rumi groaned and hid his face while Luna giggled. Her boy was becoming a big strong man… just the type that Namine needed. Rumi was done refreshing himself and fixing his hair. Then he picked up the bouquet of lilies that he had bought earlier this morning and took a deep breath before walking out the front door. “Wish me luck, Mom!” “You don’t need it, honey. Just be yourself!” Luna wished and smiled as her son left for his date. Since the restaurant was all the way up in Canterlot, the Keybearer would have to take a train to get there. It wasn’t a problem… Namine had informed him that she would be waiting at the station as well with a surprise in tow. What that surprise was he hadn’t a clue… hopefully something good. And then he started to worry once more about the date - what if he messed up and Namine hated him!? What if he did something stupid!? No, no… he shouldn’t think that. He pushed the thought away and tried to relax as he walked towards the station. Once arrived, he sat down and waited patiently for his date to arrive. The first thing he would do is offer her the bouquet of lilies he had bought and then the two would buy a ticket straight for Canterlot. Yes, that was the plan on his mind so far. Speaking of plans, he wondered how long until he got his Custom Dark Mode… it had been weeks and still nothing. Would it awaken soon? He hoped so - having both light and darkness on his side was an advantage against his worst enemies. “There’s my King… waiting for me like the proper prince that he is.” A voice interrupted his thoughts as Rumi jumped in surprise. When he turned to look at her, he gasped… Namine had donned a sleeveless blue-colored dress with a lace pattern and white lines on it along with a white sash with a bow tied around her waist. A new set of blue sandals with white bows adorned her feet. Rumi was in awe. “Wow… you look gorgeous.” Namine giggled. “So are you, Rumi.” Rumi was blushing heavily and then remembered the bouquet… which he presented to her. “H-here.” Namine gasped. “For me!? Oh, Rumi! You didn’t have to… they’re wonderful. I’m surprised you know that my favorite flowers are the lillies. How’d you find out?” Rumi shrugged. “Lucky guess… I don’t know much about your personal taste so I just chose for random and hoped for the best. Do you like them?” Namine nodded and took the bouquet. “They’re wonderful, love. Thank you so much!” Namine then kissed his lips and Rumi kissed back. After breaking off they smiled at each other with blushes on their faces. “My Queen.” “My King.” Once the train rolled into the station, the couple bought their tickets and got on board for Canterlot… unaware that the same black-coated figure from days ago was also climbing aboard as a stowaway while keeping her eyes set on Sora at all times. “I’ll find out who you are, ‘Sora’.” She whispered with a hint of venom in her tone before closing the door and falling silent for the trip to Canterlot. (Inside the first class wagon…) “I’m so excited about this.” Namine admitted with a small grin on her face. A date with the boy that she loved… It was like a dream come true. If Kairi was here, she would definitely be jealous. “Me too. Feeling a little nervous on how things might turn out in the end though… you?” “Fine as well. Don’t worry about the outcome… just relax and enjoy yourself, Rumi. It’s just a simple date.” Rumi nodded while keeping a sigh from escaping from his lips. Maybe she had a point. It was nothing but a simple date between herself and him… he had to just give in to the peace and enjoy himself. “Say, love?” Namine broke the silence. “Hmm?” Rumi looked at her. “Where’s this place that we’re going to exactly? Somewhere fancy and exquisite or cheap and tasteless?” Her last words were laced with disgust due to having a low tolerance towards food that tasted bad. “It’s one of the many restaurants in Canterlot High - they call it ‘Golden Chef’. Twilight explained that the food that’s cooked there is off the chart. I think you’ll be satisfied.” Namine gave her prince a nod followed by a small peck on the cheek. “We’ll see. Anywhere else you’d like us to go after dinner?” “Oh, yes… already planned a small outing at the local park. Nothing better than watching the night sky and the stars inhabiting it, right?” Namine blushed with a small smile. “Nothing like it… it sounds romantic.” Rumi chuckled. “It should be. This evening will be nothing but you and I… my Queen.” Namine’s blush increased along with her affection towards Rumi. What a flatterer he was… so cute and innocent. In a way, he was just like the original Sora. Thinking about him made Namine sad in a way… she wondered how they were all doing in the afterlife. Were they at peace? Did they wish to return to the world of living to continue their heroic adventures? Some things would remain a mystery for her. However she did hope to at least find a way to communicate with their spirits one day… even if it was an impossible feat. But still, one can dream, right? Maybe she could ask one of the Elements to help her out? Or possibly a voodoo priestess? Worth a shot at least. She’d have to come back to it later on and see what could be done with communicating with the spirit world. Little did Namine know was the fact that someone did indeed remain among the living from her old friends. A person whom she had long thought had passed away from old age. And one that had stowed away on board the train that she and her king were travelling to get to Canterlot. One that was long thought to have left the world behind… and one who was unknowingly targeting her King. Though she wasn’t aware of her presence just yet, things would end up being a mess once the couple arrived at their destination. A dinner date that would never be forgotten. Author's Note Heyo, heyo! Welcome back to the next chapter of the Displaced Key! Sorry for long wait - had a large gust of writer's block and I didn't feel like writing at all... Apologies for that. I hope that the chapter is worth the wait. We finally had that date that Rumi and Namine should have gone to but haven't just yet... romance at its finest, ladies and gents. I'm not the best at writing it so I apologize for that. Next part is the second in the dinner arc. However, a mysterious guest will come and ruin all of that... who are they and what is their agenda? Wait and read to find out! As usual, I don't own Kingdom Hearts nor My Little Pony - they belong to their respective writers. More to come soon! Hopefully I'll try and update next time as best I can but no promises! For now, enjoy reading!
A Case of a Lost Key'Damn... who knew the convention would be filled to the brim?' These thoughts came from a 17-year old boy named Rumen who was walking around the video game convention and dressed as his favorite video game character of all times - Sora.
