It's A Snowy Kind Of Day
It's just one of those days, isn't it?
Load Full StoryYou were cuddled up in a thick blanket, only a small dim light from above lighting up the room. The bed you were in was comfortable in every way possible. Soft, large, and extremely warm. You couldn't tell if the mattress had some sort of heating spell cast upon it, or if it was due to the large white Alicorn currently in the bed next to you, who also happened to be staring at you with a little smirk.
"You seem to be lost in thought." Celestia said, bringing up her hoof and tapping your nose lightly with it, bringing you out of whatever you were thinking about. You look at her with a blank face, a little confused on how you got here still. You've been laying in the bed for close to an hour, and yet the events leading up to it still made no sense.
"I-uh... have a question, Celestia."
"Hm?"
"W-Wouldn't it be bad if someone came in here and saw... this?" You gestured to yourself and her, to which she cocked her head slightly before giving a light nod.
"I suppose it would be bad. But, if you think that's going to get you out of this, your very wrong." She said, snuggling back into the bed on your side, her hoof now being draped over you. You were being snuggled by the ruler of Equestria, a literal sun-goddess, who is currently acting like you are the only warm thing on this planet and clinging to it greedily. Her fluff was so soft, and her hair, despite usually being in a royal-like fashion, was messy, as if she just woke up.
How did it get like that within an hour? You still question yourself.
You look to the window on your right, seeing the snow still lightly falling. It wasn't a blizzard by any means, but it was enough to close down the trains and any other transport. You were stuck in the Canterlot castle, and your few friends such as Twilight and the others were all the way back in Ponyville. That's what you get for wanting to indulge in the buffet and not take the early train home.
Yet, upon finding yourself stuck in the castle, with no one you know, Celestia happened upon you with a smile that could warm anyone up from this cold, snowy day. You told her you had no room, no one with you, and honestly no idea what you were going to do, and she simply replied:
"Let's get you somewhere comfortable then!"
And, you couldn't argue that this was extremely comfortable, so she hadn't lied in the slightest. It was just a little strange on how fast all of this happened. You looked at her once again, her eyes still staring at you while she still held her small grin on her face. "Don't you have things to do today? N-Not that I don't mind all of this..."
She shook her head. "No, no. I've cleared my schedule for today. It's a snowy kind of day, and even a leader needs some rest. So, I'll probably be spending my entire day huddled up in this bed. Why, are you planning to leave?" She asked teasingly, slumping her head over your chest now, staring into your eyes.
You gave out a nervous chuckle. "W-Whaaat? Of course not..."
"If you keep me company, you can get a free pass to the buffet at any time-"
"Deal."
Her horn began to glow a light golden color, and a second later the bed began to heat up even more. The temperature outside of the bed however decreased rapidly and into a very cold temperature, causing your body to instinctively huddle up even closer to Celestia, who obviously planned this.
"This is my favorite. A cold room, with a warm bed and blanket. And, having somebody to snuggle certainly adds onto that. What about you, hm?"
You couldn't disagree with her. It was also your personal favorite type of environment to sleep in. Cold room, warm bed. Perfection. At least, as close to perfection as it could get. Twilight didn't exactly like it too cold, which sucked because you just happened to live with the purple librarian. You wanted to move out (no offense to Twilight) but you really weren't able to. You had quite the issue of getting a job due to...
Let's say, national political problems.
You gave into the warmth under the blanket, and sunk further underneath it, your arms extending out and pulling the big fluffy Alicorn even closer to yourself. If you were going to get snuggled, you were going to do it on your own terms, not hers! You didn't feel any resistance to your movement, and in fact found yourself to be consumed by the fluff as Celestia got as close to you as possible.
"You would not believe how difficult it is to cuddle with somepony much smaller than you, always fearing you might crush them. But you-" She said, letting her head (save for her horn) rest underneath your chin, "-you're juuuust right!"
You gave a chuckle internally. She sounded like Goldilocks.
You closed your eyes, your body feeling a strange sense of safety and belonging. Of course, that's probably the warmth that is consuming you. It was strange, you always figured Celestia to be the ruthless leader that never rested, and always did things by the book. And, you'd still be right, that is how she is presented.
Yet, it's not how she is in private. You haven't even heard of this side of her from Twilight or any of the others, and Twilight was her own student. Perhaps you just happened to be in the right place, at the right time. Perhaps you were just the right one for the job.
That job, being intense snuggling.
"Anon?"
"Yeah, Celestia?"
"Thank you."
You didn't know what she was thanking you for, but you felt another burst of warmth through your chest. You didn't question what it was, why it happened, or anything else in the world. All you wanted, and needed was to continue to snuggle the alicorn princess on a cold, snowy day.
It's just one of those days, isn't it?
Author's Note
Something different from what I usually write.
I wanted to do something cute between Anon and Celestia. Dunno, if people like this I might make a sequel but no promises. Let me know if any of you liked this!
