Chapters Sombra’s Night Out (or is it?)
Chapter One: A Rough Start to a Rough Job
Sombra; whom already had plans to tutor his Canterlot High students at his house, is now stuck with babysitting his old colleague’s daughter: Flurry Heart, at their house. Unfortunately for him; it’s not going off so well as he’d thought it would.... .
Sombra listened long and hard to Flurry Heart’s crying; then he decided to take a deep breath to calm himself down, used one of his hands to cover Flurry Heart’s mouth to get her to stop crying, and starts asking her; “so, Flurry Heart is it? Hmm... . What’s the matter?” Flurry Heart paused crying for a bit to uncover her mouth, looked up at her new babysitter, and says whilst still having tears running down her cheeks; “m-m-me miss mama and dada.” After that, Flurry Heart continues crying.
With that in mind, Sombra then holds Flurry Heart close to him, puts her head on his shoulder, and then says in a soft tone whilst patting her back; “hey hey, it’s fine. Your parents did say that they’ll be back, right? So why’re you still crying?” Flurry Heart sniffled, before wailing; “yeah... but I miss dem now!” Sombra thought long and hard about what Flurry Heart just said, and then replies with; “I guess so. But, until your parents do come back, (and hopefully much more sooner than later), what do you wanna do till then?” Flurry Heart stopped crying for now, and thought long and hard about Sombra’s question, but was interrupted by her stomach growling. “I hungwy”, she whined. Sombra pats Flurry’s back again, and says; “okay then. Let’s see if there’s anything for you to eat. Let’s go.” Flurry Heart nodded, and sniffles while saying; “owkay den”, and starts laying her head down on Sombra’s shoulder whilst sucking on her thumb as a means to calm herself down. With that in mind, Sombra walks off with Flurry Heart to the kitchen.
Once Sombra and Flurry made it to the kitchen, Sombra opened the door to the fridge, and starts looking around. “Okay”, he began; “let’s see if there’s anything for you to eat.” Sombra looked everywhere in the fridge for something that Flurry Heart can eat, but only found bottles of milk on the side, and some other food, (not for Flurry Heart of course). “Hmm”, he began again; “you sure you wanted just a bottle? There’s gotta be something else for you to have; right?” Flurry Heart was gonna respond, but her stomach answered for her. “Ah well”, Sombra says defeated; “I guess it’ll do for now.” With that in mind, Sombra grabs one of the bottles, and looks at Flurry Heart before closing the door to the fridge. “So.. tell me. Do you like your bottle warm, or cold?” Flurry Heart made grabby hands, and tries to reach for the bottle as a response. “I guess cold huh? Nice.” Flurry Heart smiled with a blush, and nodded softly in agreement. “Okay then, let’s go”, Sombra said as he then closed the fridge door, and starts carrying Flurry Heart to the living room.
Sombra then arrives with Flurry Heart to the living room couch, sits down on the couch, sits Flurry Heart down on his lap, leans her against him, and gives Flurry Heart her bottle. “Wanna watch some tv, or do you wanna just only drink your bottle?” Flurry Heart responded with putting her bottle to her mouth, and starts drinking from it. “Okay then”, Sombra responds back; “that’ll do.” With that; Sombra is waiting for Flurry Heart to finish her bottle, whilst looking up at the clock every now and again to check the time. Sombra knew that this is only gonna get worse from here on out; despite it being only just a few minutes. He just knew that things are only gonna get worse before it can get better. Time will tell if he’s right, and he’s counting on it too.... .

Chapter Two: A Not So Fun Playtime
Sombra is sitting on the living room couch with Flurry Heart on his lap. Flurry Heart is not even close to being done with her bottle just yet, and it almost seems like Sombra is gonna lose his patience. Well; after what seemed like hours, (despite it being only five minutes), Flurry Heart is finished with her bottle, and she breathes a sigh of relief; knowing that her hunger has been satisfied. Sombra looks down at Flurry Heart, and asks; “you finished with your bottle?” Flurry Heart nodded yes, and promptly hands Sombra her empty bottle. “Okay then“, he says; “thanks.” With that, Sombra takes the empty bottle, and sets it aside on the couch for now. “So; since you’re done with your bottle, what do you wanna do?” Flurry Heart thought for a moment; before her eyes lit up, and she started saying; “pway time, pway time!” as she starts bouncing up and down with joy. Sombra chuckles; not only is it because that Flurry Heart is bouncing on his lap, but it’s also because he can hear Flurry’s diaper crinkling; due to the fact that she’s bouncing on him with her diaper on whilst acting all excited for her playtime.
And so; Sombra picks up Flurry Heart, and starts to get up from the couch as well. “Hmm, what do you wanna play?” Sombra asks. Flurry Heart responded with covering her face with her hands, and then revealing her face. At first, Sombra thinks and asks; “so, peekaboo then?” Flurry Heart shook her head no, and says; “noo, hide and seek.” Sombra’s eyes got wide as he then fully understood what she meant by that, and says; “ooh, hide and seek. Hmm..” he starts thinking; “I don’t know though... hide and seek is a little bit difficult. And I’m afraid that you might get lost too. You sure you wanna play that game?” Flurry Heart started to whine, and says; “me wanna pway!” With that, Sombra sighs; knowing that this won’t end well, and says; “okay, fine. But if I can’t find you in exactly ten minutes, I’m calling the game off, got it?” Flurry Heart whined again, but then nodded her head as a means to agree with him. “Alright then”, began Sombra; “here we go...”.
Once the game has been chosen; Sombra puts down Flurry Heart on the ground, and starts covering his eyes so he can begin the game by counting. Meanwhile; Flurry Heart got all excited, and then starts laughing whilst toddling away from him to a hiding place. Once Sombra was done counting, he uncovers his eyes, and starts to look around the room. “Hmm, I wonder where she’s hiding?” Sombra says playfully. “Hmm. I better start looking; otherwise she’d win.” Sombra said playfully again. With that, his search for Flurry Heart began. Little did he know that he was gonna be in for a surprise once some time has passed... .
“Flurry, where are you?” Sombra says in a slight state of worry and panic. “Come out come out, wherever you are.” Sombra was basically starting to get scared; knowing that Flurry Heart could be hiding anywhere, and that he hasn’t found any trace of her since. (It’s been only a few minutes, but it was enough for Sombra to get worried). So, just before Sombra was starting to give up, he then soon remembered what he said to Flurry Heart a while ago, and then starts saying; “okay Flurry Heart, game over!” Sombra says whilst raising his voice so she can hear him from wherever she’s hiding at. Sombra sighs, then starts saying again; “Flurry Heart; if you don’t come out or show me where you are, then I won’t be your babysitter again; okay?”
Sombra got a little annoyed, and says whilst walking to what he assumes would be Flurry Heart’s room; “cmon now. Really? You’ve promised to come out once I can’t find you. What gives?” He opens the door, and soon enough, he’s found Flurry Heart; albeit safe and sound, and underneath a pile of plushies and all. “Flurry Heart”, Sombra began in his regular voice, and in a disappointed tone. “Where were you? You had me worried sick. Why didn’t you say anything?” Flurry Heart got a little sad; knowing that she’s in a lot of trouble, gets out of the pile of plushies, and says while shuffling with her feet crossed on the floor; “I sowwy.... I dot we were pwaying da game stiww.”
Sombra sighs, and then says; “we were playing the game still, but then I got worried about you and started to call the game off. You didn’t listen?” Flurry Heart whined, and then said; “I did, but I dot you were wying to me.” Sombra sighs a breath of annoyance, and says in a slightly raised voice; “no, I won’t. Why would you think that?” Flurry Heart got more sad, and started to whine again. Sombra stopped to see that Flurry Heart was looking like that she was about to cry.
With that, Sombra sighs, and takes a breather to calm himself down. “Look kid. It’ll be alright, okay? But just next time; listen to me when I tell you what to do, okay? And don’t forget about what I tell you to also, alright?” Flurry Heart sniffled with a nod, and says; “owkay”, and sits down on the ground; without a crinkle from her diaper this time as her room is carpeted. With Flurry Heart still looking sad, Sombra goes to pick up Flurry Heart again, and then looks at her to ask; “so, since hide and seek is over, what do you wanna do now?” Flurry Heart whined a little, but then starts to lay her head on Sombra’s chest, and says; “sweep. I wanna sweep wit you.” Sombra chuckles and smiles a little at that answer, and then says; “okay then, let’s go.”
Sombra begins to walk Flurry Heart off back to the living room, sits down on the couch with her whilst carrying her, and starts rubbing her back so she can be comfortable. Flurry Heart starts to close her eyes, leans her head against his chest, and starts sucking on her thumb whilst holding onto Sombra so she can fall asleep. Sombra smiles, and looks down at Flurry Heart whilst saying; “sweet dreams Flurry Heart; sweet dreams.” Sombra then leans back on the couch, and starts to fall asleep as well.
Unfortunately; he’ll soon later learn that this day is gonna get a little more worse than ever before.

Chapter Three: A Rude Awakening
Sombra suddenly woke up to hear Flurry Heart’s crying. Sombra groaned, rubbed his eyes due to being woken up from his sleep abruptly, and then asks, “what’s the matter kid? You hungry again?” Flurry Heart paused crying and nodded, but continued to cry regardless. Sombra groans again, leans off of the couch, picks up Flurry Heart off of his lap since she was sitting there and crying, and starts to get off the couch to walk to the kitchen again to get her some more milk to drink.
After that, Sombra sits back down on the living room couch with Flurry Heart on his lap again. Flurry Heart started to drink from her milk bottle, but was still unfortunately feeling cranky, and starts fidgeting a little. With that, Sombra sighs, puts his hands around Flurry’s belly, pats it, and says, “relax now kid, you’re alright. You’re okay. Calm down. You’re fine.” Flurry Heart did as she was told, and began to calm down while fidgeting less and less. After a while; Flurry Heart paused drinking from her bottle for a bit, burped, and continues drinking from her bottle whilst giggling. Sombra; who’s definitely heard that, replies with, “good one kid. Never knew you had it in you.” Flurry looked at Sombra, blushes with a giggle and a smile, and then resumes drinking from her bottle whilst calming down some more and leaning against him.
After a few minutes, she sighs with relief because her hunger has been satisfied, and she starts to give Sombra her bottle. Sombra takes it away and sets it aside for now, and then asks Flurry Heart, “so, now that your hunger has been satisfied, what do you wanna do now?” Flurry Heart thought for a minute, before her eyes lit up, and she says whilst pointing at the tv, “ooh ooh, dada time.” Sombra was confused at first; until Flurry Heart pointed towards the tv to him. Sombra then realized what that meant, and then says, “ooh, tv time. Alright. I can work with that.” Sombra then picks up the remote that was on the couch, uses it to turn on the tv, and presses the guide button to search for many different channels. “Hmm”, he began saying, “what do you wanna watch?” Flurry Heart thought for a minute, before replying with a frown and a slight whine; “I downt know.” Sombra then says, “hmm.. that’s alright. We can figure this out.”
After countless channel surfing for what seemed like hours, (even though again it’s been only a few minutes), Sombra hasn’t found anything interesting to watch on tv with Flurry Heart, and he can already tell that she was getting bored. With that; Sombra turns the tv off, and sets the remote aside on the couch. “So, what do you wanna do other than tv time?” Flurry Heart thought for a minute again, before replying again with a slight whine, “I downt know.” Sombra thinks for a minute as well, before getting a bright idea in his mind. With a smirk, he looks at Flurry Heart; who in return, looks at him, and then Sombra asks her, “so.. kid. What do you say we have a.. tickle fight?” With that, Sombra has begun his attack, and starts tickling Flurry Heart’s belly. This made Flurry Heart laugh, giggle, squeal, and kick her tiny legs whilst being tickled. Sombra stops for a minute, and asks, “you okay there?” Flurry Heart is breathing hard to regain her composure; mainly because she laughed so hard from being tickled. After a minute, she sighs with relief because she’s calm now, and then replies, “yeah. Me awight.” Sombra replies back, “alright then”, and waits for Flurry Heart to respond. Flurry Heart giggles, and then starts chanting, “again again.” Sombra says, “alright then”, and continues tickling Flurry Heart again.
This went on for a couple more minutes, before Flurry Heart shouted, “ah, hehe. No mowre. I make pee pee.” Sombra laughs, stops for a bit, and then says, “you’re gonna make what?” Flurry Heart started to calm down, before saying again, “no mowre funnies, or I make pee pee in my diapee.” With that, Sombra asks, “you sure about that?” before attempting to tickle her again with a smirk. Flurry Heart nodded her head in response, and starts hugging him tightly and nuzzling him with a smile. Sombra chuckles, and then says, “okay fine, I won’t tickle you no more. I promise.” He then starts to tickle Flurry Heart again on her back, and then hugs her. Flurry Heart giggled because she was tickled again, and then nuzzles some more as she then felt Sombra hugging her in return.
After a couple more minutes of hugging each other, Sombra sits Flurry Heart down on his lap, puts his hands around Flurry Heart’s belly, and then asks, “but in all seriousness, you were gonna pee your pants if I kept tickling you?” Flurry Heart nodded, and giggled at the thought. Sombra laughs slightly, smiles, and then says, “I guess so. But..” he began to smirk, “does that mean that you have to go to the bathroom then?” Flurry Heart heard that question, blushes, giggles again in response, and then says, “yeah.. me need to go potty.” Sombra chuckles, then asks, “do you want to go potty then?” Flurry Heart nodded, and then starts leaning against Sombra to get comfortable. He then asks, “I meant, do you want me to take you to the bathroom? Or are you just gonna go in your diaper?” Flurry Heart thinks for a minute, before replying with a blush of slight embarrassment, “y-yeah. M-me use diapee.” She then started to whimper and fidget slightly because again she was embarrassed, leans against Sombra again to get comfortable, and then starts relaxing herself. Both Flurry Heart and Sombra can hear slight hissing; as Flurry Heart is currently peeing in her diaper. With that, Sombra started to laugh again, and then asks in between his laughter, “so does that mean that you’re making pee pee then?” Flurry Heart nodded again with a blush, and looks down at her diaper to continue peeing herself. After what seemed like hours, (which again has only been a few minutes), Flurry Heart started to relax and sigh with relief; knowing that she peed her pants, and is satisfied with that. Sombra laughs some more, and then asks once he was calm, “is that all? Or is there more?” Flurry Heart blushed, and then replied with, “m-m-mowre...”. She then looks down at her diaper again, and grunts; causing her to fart very loudly. Sombra laughed again at that, and then asks, “feeling better now? Cuz I definitely heard and felt that.” Flurry Heart laughs slightly, but then frowns, and says whilst shaking her head, “nuh uh. Me make poopies now.” Sombra says, “okay then, go for it”, and puts his hands around Flurry’s belly again. Flurry started to wiggle, leans back against Sombra, and then starts grunting while pushing. Flurry Heart and Sombra can both hear as Flurry’s diaper began to grow and crinkle; knowing that Flurry Heart is now pooping herself. After a few more minutes, Flurry Heart relaxes again, and sighs with relief; satisfied, and happy that she pooped her pants. With that, Sombra laughs again, and then asks, “now do you feel better? Cuz I definitely felt that.” Flurry Heart got embarrassed and blushed, but then started laughing too, and says whilst kicking in her diaper, “hehe, yeah. Me made poopies now, haha.” Sombra snickers, and then asks, “okay then; need a change?” Flurry Heart giggles, and then replies while raising her arms; “yes. Changies pwease.” Sombra then says, “alright then”, and starts to pick up Flurry Heart so he can go and change her.
After Sombra made it into Flurry Heart’s room, he then lays Flurry Heart down on the changing table, pops his knuckles and neck, and then sighs before getting ready and says, “well... here goes nothing”, and begins.

Chapter Four: A Not So Good Night
Sombra; having just finished changing Flurry Heart; is breathing and panting heavily due to the fact that he hadn’t thought to take a few breaths before changing her. This would be the last time he’ll make that mistake again.
“Geez kid”, Sombra started to comment. “I cannot believe that you just did that; let alone on me too. But hey, at least you’re still in diapers right?” Flurry Heart started to giggle at that question, and says, “yeah; dank goodness.” Flurry Heart giggles again, and bounces on the changing table in her new clean diaper. Sombra chuckles too, and then asks, “so, what do you wanna do now?” Flurry Heart thought for a minute, but then started to yawn, and says, “me feew sweepy.” Sombra looks out of her bedroom window to see that it was getting dark out. He then says, “okay then kid. Let’s get you to bed.”
Sombra then proceeds to pick up Flurry Heart off of the changing table, walks with her to her bed, and sits down on the bed while still carrying Flurry Heart. “So”, Sombra began, “what do you wanna do before bed?” Flurry Heart thinks for a minute, before yawning again, rubs one of her eyes, and says, “me want stowy time pwease.” Sombra dawwed at that response, and says, “okay then, coming right up.”
With that, Sombra went to go get Flurry Heart a book to read, went back to her bed, sits back down on the edge of the bed, sits Flurry Heart down on his lap, and starts reading the title of the book. “Hmm”, he began. “The Legend of Gusty the Great. Huh.. you sure you wanna read this? Seems intense you know.” Flurry Heart whined, then says, “yeah.. but me wike it stiww.” Sombra sighs; not wanting her to get cranky at night, and then replies, “alright kid, but just this once, okay?” Flurry Heart sighs also, and then says, “okay”, and starts to suck on one of her thumbs while leaning back onto Sombra’s chest while sitting on him so she can wait for him to begin reading. Sombra says, “alright then; let’s begin”, and starts to open up the book to begin reading.
“Once upon a time; there lived a beautiful sorceress who goes by the name: Gusty the Great...”. Sombra is currently reading to Flurry Heart; with each page of the story’s storytelling making Flurry Heart ever so sleepy, and drowsy.
Just then, right before Sombra could finish, they both heard the door open, and then Shining Armor called out; “we’re home.” Cadence then added, “how’s our little daughter?” Sombra; whom just paused reading to hear that her parents are home; looks down at Flurry Heart, and sees that she’s gonna cry. He braced himself by covering his ears, and says, “oh no; here we go now”, and shuts his eyes to brace for the tantrum. With that, Flurry starts wailing, “noooo!” and starts crying. This made the couple enter the room; only to find Sombra and Flurry Heart safe; except for Flurry Heart crying, and Sombra covering his ears. Shining Armor got close to his little daughter, and asks, “what’s the matter sweetie? We’re home. Don’t you miss us?” Sombra uncovered his ears, and says, “she does at first, but not anymore. Also; she was basically doing just fine; until you made her angry.” Shining then asks, “how so?” Flurry Heart responded with punching her dad on the nose, (despite it not hurting him), and whined, “you made Sombwa dop weading me a stowy fowr stowytime!” Cadence felt bad, and says, “ooh, that’s why. We’re sorry honey. We didn’t mean to.” Flurry Heart responded with, “well you did! And now stowytime is ruined! Hmph!” She then crossed her arms, and pouts with a frown. After a minute went by, Sombra then says; “so.. um... you guys wanna say something to her? She is angry that you guys interrupted us. And not to mention that I had things under control; until this happened.” Both of the two parents said, “oh.. sorry”, in unison. Flurry Heart whined, and crossed her arms again. Cadence sighed, looked at her daughter with a frown, places her hand against her daughter’s chin, and says, “we’re sorry honey; we didn’t mean to interrupt your storytime. We’re so sorry. If you want, you can continue, and we can just go to bed; is that okay?” Flurry Heart thought for a moment, but then said, “n-no. S-stay. I-I miss you.” Sombra dawwed, and says, “aww, that’s sweet. Even though you’re still mad at them, you still wanted them to stay huh? That’s sweet.” Flurry Heart blushed, crosses her arms once more, and says in slight embarrassment, “yeah, it is. Hmph.” Both of the parents sighed, and then sat down on the floor. With that; Sombra cleared his throat, and says, “alright Flurry; since your parents are home; let’s start over and read the story to them too; okay?” Flurry Heart thought for a moment, before she giggled, and says, “owkay den”, and smiles before bouncing on Sombra in her diaper. Sombra then smiles back, chuckles at what Flurry is doing, and says, “let’s begin.” He then starts to read the story from the beginning.
After a few minutes of reading, Sombra closed the book to see that all three were asleep. He then sighs with relief; knowing that everything was peaceful again. He starts to yawn, sets the book aside on Flurry Heart’s bed, and starts to lean back to fall asleep as well. With that; everyone had a good night, and everyone slept happily ever after. The end.

Epilogue: The Next School Day

Prologue: The Worst Day Ever
Shining Armor and Cadence are currently at Crystal Prep Academy; trying their hardest to juggle through their responsibilities, and getting them finished on time before they can leave, and get their daughter out of daycare. Why is Flurry Heart in daycare? Well; last time they brought their daughter to work with them, she basically just threw a tremendous tantrum because she wasn’t receiving any attention from her parents; not to mention that it was during her time with dealing with the terrible twos. And also having her teeth coming in as well. So with that; chewed up pencils, torn open backpacks, and many slick hallway floors due to lots and lots of baby drool; somehow.
So; after the two were done with their tasks, they gathered what was left of their belongings, took them to their respective classrooms, went to the front of the school to checkout from the office, and went to their car that they shared to go and pick up Flurry Heart from her daycare; since neither one of them has a car; while the other one does.
Unfortunately; once they got back home, Shining and Cadence both looked like that they were gonna collapse. And they did; with Flurry Heart being placed on the floor first before they did so. Because of that, Flurry Heart laughed, and got up to give both of her parent’s faces a hug; if albeit a little rough due to her having her baby finger nails growing in too; and not just her teeth as well.
“I’m so.. tired. Can.. barely... get up.” Cadence said whilst panting on the ground. Shining Armor looked up at his wife, and then says whilst panting also; “yeah.. me too. I don’t think we’d ever had this happen to us before... least not that much you know.” Both of the parents were basically running on fumes at this point, and were breathing very hard because of slight exhaustion. Flurry Heart started to look bad because not only are her parents exhausted, but she also wants some attention from them.
With that, she gets on all fours, starts crawling on top of them, and pats one of their heads to get their attention. “F-flurry, darling. I don’t think we can take care of you while we’re like this. I’m afraid that we just have to lay here until we’re done with being tired, okay? I’m sorry honey..” Cadence said with a slight pant and heavy breathing. This caused Flurry Heart to whine, and stomp one of her feet in anger. “Now now honey”, Shining gestured to his daughter, “it’s not like that we can’t care for you anymore. It’s just that we’re so tired, that basically we’re just about to pass out and fall asleep. I’m really sorry about this Flurry; I really am.” Flurry Heart whined, “nooo”, and sat down on the floor in anger. When she did so, there was a slight crinkle noise coming from under her white one piece dress; as she was still in diapers because she was just only two years old.
But, right as Flurry was about to throw another one of her massive tantrums; a door opened, and someone who has black and flowing hair, was wearing a king’s armor set, a crown, and a cape to match, has stepped into the house, and greeted the two parents that are lying down on the ground from near total exhaustion. “Uh.. hello there. Um.. is it alright if I came inside? I can come back another time if you wanted me to.”
With that, Cadence sprung up instantly, wiped off the dust from her dress, and cleared her throat before saying, “no no, it’s fine. We’re just so tired from our day that we’ve apparently just passed out on the floor, and decided to take a nap; that’s all. No biggie, hehe.” Cadence was smiling, whilst also blushing; trying her best to look professional and friendly. “Uuh, okay then”, the stranger said before continuing; “um, is it alright if I put your package on that table over there?” he pointed out.
Shining Armor got up as well, and says; “uh, sure. Just leave it in the middle of that table over there, it’s okay. And try to watch your step when doing so. Our daughter is right in front of you, and I don’t want you to accidentally trip over her, you know?” The stranger then looked to where Flurry Heart is, and says; “ooooh. So you do have a daughter now, huh?” he says in a slight surprised tone. Cadence nodded, and said; “yes we do. Now; if you can put that package on that table there; we really need to discuss something with you. Is that okay?” The stranger swept it off, and replies; “yeah; it’s no big deal; no worries.” he says as he walked around Flurry Heart, and placed the package on the table. “Thank you”, Cadence said. “Follow me.”
With that; the stranger followed the two parents, and sat down at a distant table with them; with Flurry Heart following close behind them; just so that way she’ll be able to keep an eye on this stranger, and so that way her curiosity will be satisfied.
“So”, began the stranger. “What is it that we’re discussing here. School profits, taxes? The fact that you guys have a daughter now, and didn’t even bother telling me about her?” Flurry Heart whined at that question, but kept it to a minimum; as she doesn’t wanna get caught snooping around and stuff. “Look; Sombra; we just wanted to ask you if you have any free time to look after our daughter. Is that alright with you? Or is this a bad time?”
Before Sombra could answer, Flurry Heart was whining, and bouncing up and down with her arms up; wanting to be picked up by her mother. With that; she was promptly picked up, and was sat down on her mother’s lap before she could throw a tantrum. Cadence then continued by asking; “so, will you do it?” Sombra thought long and hard for a minute or two about this question. After some time has passed, he came to his decision. “Deal”, he says. “But what’s in it for me?” Sombra started to question. “We’ll let you know.” Cadence says as she then sets her daughter back down on the floor, and walked with Sombra to the front door. Meanwhile, Shining Armor picked up his daughter, and walks with her to the front door also, so he too can give Sombra the information that he might need.
“Okay now, firstly: you have to make sure that Flurry Heart is happy, and healthy; got it?” Sombra nodded, and then Cadence continued; “secondly; under no circumstances are you to have anyone else over. I know that you’re a tutor/teacher from Canterlot High and all, but I don’t want my little daughter to be traumatized from having too many strangers in the house, okay?” Sombra sighs; despite him already having plans to have a tutoring session at his house for the students; because he planned on it.
Nevertheless, he nods again, and lets Cadence continue with the rules. “Thirdly; if Flurry Heart gets cranky, just give her this, and she’ll calm right down.” Cadence says as she hands Sombra Flurry Heart’s snail plushie. He inspects it, and tells Cadence; “go on.”
Cadence took a breath, before saying finally; “lastly; under no circumstances are you to yell at her, or treat her harshly. Last time we did that, she didn’t take it too well, and we‘ve had to redecorate because of her.” Flurry Heart got upset, and tries to hit Cadence, but with no success. With that, Shining Armor hands off Flurry Heart to Sombra, and waits for him to respond.
Sombra looks down at Flurry Heart, looks back up at the two parents, and responds with; “yes m’am. But wait. What am I supposed to do if she’s still crying; even with me giving her her plushie? Or what if she misbehaves even?”
Cadence sighs again, and then says; “just keep her calm, and try your best not to yell at her while doing so, okay? She doesn’t like it when you do that to her.” Sombra gets a little confused, and asks; “why?”
Cadence took another breath, before replying with; “because if you do that, then she’ll get upset, and get destructive again. Understand now?” Flurry Heart responded with; “yeah”, whilst looking up at Sombra. Sombra looks down at Flurry Heart again, looks back up, and replies with; “yeah. I think I get it now... . But wait; where are you two going?”
Shining Armor took a few steps forward, before saying; “we’re just gonna be out for the night; that’s all. We’ll be back at around 8 pm tonight, so I wouldn’t worry about being with her for the entire night, okay? Just a few hours, and we’ll be back before then, sounds fair?” Sombra blinked, looked at the ceiling for a few seconds with a sigh, looks back at the two parents, and sighs again before saying; “okay, I guess so... . But are you sure you can trust me with this task? I mean; I am y’all’s friend after all, and a great teacher back at Canterlot High.. . But I have no idea on how to babysit; like, at all. Are you sure that I can handle it?” Shining Armor and Cadence were just about to leave; when Shining Armor turned back to look at Sombra, and says; “yes, I’m sure. Besides; what’s the worst that can happen?” and leaves with his wife Cadence to go out somewhere.
Meanwhile; Sombra was beginning to sweat nervously while holding onto Flurry Heart, and says to himself; “oh I wish you hadn’t said that”, before beginning to hear Flurry Heart crying.
