a new alicorn
chapter: 1
Load Full StoryLuna (Woona if you were her sister) was wondering around in the hedge maze getting some brisk fall air. She had been sitting in a stuffy old room all day while her sister Celestia rambled on and on about the proper way to talk, eat, drink, and even sleep! She was getting to the part about what the sixteenth fork is for (its for eating dark green lettuce) when Steel frame (a guard that Luna was friends with) told Celestia that there was something that she had to look at. When they both were leaving Steel winked at Luna with a smile that Luna returned. After they were both gone Luna made her escape to the gardens.
Luna was getting near the middle of the hedge maze (she found the maze relaxing even though she knew the maze by heart) she heard a rusting in the leaves as she went over to investigated she saw another foal hiding the hedges! Luna couldn’t get a good look at the foal as he was hiding quite well so she couldn’t see any but she knew he was there because his baby blue coat stood out against the dark green hedges so she said “show yourself stranger” like her sister told her to earlier in the day. The small foal was running like his life depended on it and in a way it did. “Don’t look back don’t look back” he murmured to himself but he couldn’t help himself he look behind him and saw the cockatrice still chasing him he whipped his head back around and went back looked forward. He was beginning to tire as he ran through the forest weaving in and out of the trees dogging vines, roots and holes in the ground. After what seemed like an eternity of running he figured out what to do. He ran straight at a tree until he was just about to hit it he dug his hooves into the ground and ducked. It worked! The cockatrice’s head rammed into the tree knocking it unconscious.
