Somewhere in Equestria, in the badlands, inside a cave, lies a alicorn with hatred in her heart. Her coat was grayish blue, and her mane and tail were black and red. She had large pegasus wings that were a darker shade of blue. Her eyes were one of a crystal pony, and they were green. She had a large alicorn horn. She also had royal shoes, and a grayish purple amulet of sorts on her. Her name was Lethal Flier. She is a alicorn with hatred.
She was born near the border of the Crystal Empire hence her similarity to Crystal ponies. She used to be a normal unicorn that was abused by her pathetic excuses of parents. She grumbled and got on her hooves. The cave she was living in was small, and only had old stones that had most likely been there since time itself. She walked around her cave angrily, and occasionally shot a spell at the wall that had black burn marks of previous spells.
"I can't think of anything to do. Then again, I did disappear and haven't reappeared in over one thousand years." Lethal said, out loud. She had been lonely for so long that she had started talking to herself without any problems.
She was actually the first alicorn there is in history, but she had dissappear a few weeks afterwards, and she wasn't exactly famous in the small village she used to live in. She doesn't remember the name of it, mostly because they changed it a lot of times. Lethal hated the ponies for not recognising her as the true ruler, but she knows deep inside that it is her very own fault. She shouldn't have disappeared all those years ago, but she had to, she was starting to get abused again by her parents.
"Screw those disgusting ponies." Lethal said, out loud with such malice, even Discord would have shivered. She decided that it was time that she started building up her army. She would overtake those pathetic alicorn rulers, and she would rule over Equestria with an iron hoof. Well, she has a plan now anyways, all she need now is to find creatures that are interested in joining her cause. She looked back on her flank and saw the cutiemark she didn't know the meaning of. The cutiemark was black pegasus wings.
"I really wonder what the meaning of the cutiemark is." Lethal said, starting to think about the day she got it.
1000 years ago
A young filly by the name of Lethal Flier, was near a forest that surrounded her hometown. The forest is believed to be haunted by spirits of the underworld. Lethal didn't know if she believed it or not, but the stories sure were great. The forest had large proud trees that covered the whole surface and was very long and thick. At the top, were dark green leafs that covered the twigs on the trees.
Lethal walked inside, but was very cautious on where she was going. She didn't want to alert any beasts inside the forest. She reached a small pond and sat on a tree that had fallen over. She enjoyed her time outdoors, and did everything one could imagine. She looked down on her own reflection and saw what she wanted. Recognition. That was the one thing she desired.
Out of frustration, she shot a dark magic spell that she had managed to teach herself. What the spell theoretically would do is, slicing up somepony or creature. It was quite disgusting, but Lethal didn't mind, in fact she quite enjoyed it. She had tried a couple of times to shot it at her mother and father, but she had never succeded. She doesn't understand why.
All of a sudden, she felt herself being lifted up by the wind. The wind started whirling around Lethal, and she couldn't do anything else other than accept her fate. She wasn't liked by her other fellow towns ponies anyways. She didn't have any friends or anypony that loved her. She would rather die. She felt something warm on her flank, and when she looked behind she saw her cutiemark that was black wings. All of a sudden she felt sharp pain on her back, and she screamed out in pain. The pain lasted for at least five minutes, but for Lethal it felt like an eternity. When she had enough strength, she looked behind and saw that she had two large pegasus wings. She was shocked, shouldn't they be black like her cutiemark? Lethal had no ide what to do, but decided to go home.
She had showed up to her town, and several ponies stopped in order to take in what they were seeing. A pony with wings and a horn? What was that? She had been asked several questions that she hadn't been able to answer because she had no idea herself. Her parents had been shocked. Lethal had been quite strong magically, but now with the new form she had, she was so much more powerful. Her parents respected her for a while... but soon fell into the same routine. Abuse her as much as possible, but Lethal had enough, and had packed her things and left. Never to be seen again...
"One strange day indeed..." Lethal said out loud to herself. She wondered if she ever was gonna find out the meaning of her cutiemark. She shook her head, she had more important things to be concerned about. She spread her wings, and flew out of the cave. She used a quick spell to hide her horn from the world, and flew towards a forest named; the Everfree Forest. She knew that it was a dangerous place to be, but she really had a good idea. Why not recruit the beasts of the Everfree? They are always looking for something to do, heck, sometimes they kill simply because they want something to do.
The Everfree Forest was large and exotic looking. Lethal saw several beasts walking around that she suspected to be Timberwolves. Mostly because it was a wood-like body walking around with four legs. Lethal smiled an evil smile. She flew down and shot a curse at the Timberwolf. The Timberwolf cried out and checked up and saw Lethal, fire a curse at him again. The Timberwolf would have normally tried to attack the creature attacking it, but it could sense the power from this one. Stronger than a normal alicorns... if that is the case, then the Timberwolf doesn't wanna know how strong this pony is. The Timberwolf ran so fast, dust could be seen.
Lethal chuckled a little. "It seems like I still have power in that explosion curse." Lethal said, looking in the direction the Timberwolf had fleed. Lethal landed on the ground, and started walking around. The reason why the Timberwolf didn't explode was because it was made out of magical wood. It would obviously rebuild itself, but the curse Lethal sent would prevent that. Hopefully, she sees a pony who will attack it and see it fall. The pony or creature would spread the word and they would think they are unstoppable and die when they realize it was a hoax.
She continued walking through the forest, chuckling at her genius idea. She saw a town up ahead. She stayed behind the large trees of the Everfree Forest, and saw the smoke coming out of several houses. She chuckled, it seems like somepony was in trouble. She used a spell to hear everything that was going on. What she heard shocked her.
In the middle of Ponyville, stood a purple scaled dragon with green spikes. His name was Spike, and he was currently looking at the element bearers together with the towns ponies of Ponyville who were looking at him with malice. His birthday was today, and he had gotten lots of presents, but his dragon instincts kicked in, and he had become greedy. He had turned into a full out dragon. He had destroyed half of Ponyville, and now he was paying the consequences.
"Spike what were you thinking!?" His sister figure asked, and he looked up. Twilight Sparkle was looking at him with sadness, anger, and betrayal. Spike didn't know what to say, and decided to keep quiet.
"Nothing to say huh?!" Rainbow asked, with anger in her voice. She was one of the ones that usually pull hurtful pranks on Spike and act as if nothing is wrong. Same goes for Pinkie.
"Spikey, I think its best if you stay away from me from now on. It will be okay if your assisting Twilight with something, because then you are doing your job, but other than that, nothing." Rarity said, with sadness in her voice. Spike didn't let his tears fall. In fact, for every word Rarity had said, he seemed to become more blank in his face, not revealing anything.
"Spike, ah think its best if ya didn't come by tha Sweet Apple Acres." Applejack said, slowly making Spike just raise a brow at her. The others didn't know what to do or say.
"Spike, I can't allow you to come by Sugarcube Corner. I'm sorry, but after what happened, it is our number one priority." Pinkie Pie said, while Spike just continued to stare blankly at her. "OKAY OKAY, I ADMIT! THE AUTHOR MAKE ME SAY THESE THINGS!!"
The ponies from Ponyville looked at Pinkie as if she'd lost it but shrugged it of. It was normal for Pinkie Pie to be like this. Fluttershy decided to speak up this time, and Spike cried on the inside. He knew this was gonna hurt, since she and Spike were quite close.
"Spike, after what happened today, I simply cannot allow you to come by my cottage. We can still talk privately if you want, but somewhere where you don't destroy things." Fluttershy said, sounding harsh. It wasn't actually her intention to sound mean or racist in any form, it just came out that way.
"Spike, you have been my assistant since I hatched you. I want you to know that I do love you, but I simply can't have you live with me anymore. You can live wherever you want. As long as you don't destroy things that is in your nature." Twilight said, without a second thought. She realized what she had said and looked down at Spike who was staring at her with blank eyes, but on the inside, he was crying and having a fit of rage.
Finally, he said the words no pony expected him to say; "I have sort of been expecting this day to come. Then again, ponies always deny that they themselves are violent even though, they have started several wars and pretends like it never happened." Spike said, making all ponies look at him as if he was mad. Twilight looked scandalised. She didn't think Spike would go that far as to insult a whole race. She then stopped herself. She did say a racist thing before; "As long as you don't destroy things that is in your nature." It might not sound racist, but it very much is, as dragons are known for their quick to violence and destruction.
"I'll leave then. I hope you'll realize your mistake one day." Spike said, pushing past ponies to get away from them. Twilight was gonna call for him, but decided against it. He would cool down and it would be fine again.
"Alright everypony, let's start rebuilding Ponyville!" Twilight said, writing down instructions and handing out notes. What everypony failed to notice was one gray pony with blonde main and tail that didn't blame Spike. In fact, she was fuming over what the element bearers just did.
She would follow Spike wherever he went. It didn't matter where he went, as long as they were together. What everypony didn't realize was that a certain angry alicorn had heard absolutely everything, and was deeply disgusted by how it played out.
"How can they do that? Just throw some creature out as if they are nothing. And ponies wonder why so many nations hate them..." Lethal muttered. She was gonna help this dragon, and give him a place.
She used a spell that made her see where the dragon was currently. He was walking towards a tree house that looked like to be a library. If he came towards the Everfree Forest, then Lethal would be having a victory day. She saw how he entered the library and didn't come out for some time.
She then saw the door re-open and it was revealed to be the dragon and a mare with a filly. They started walking towards the forest, and Lethal felt her mouth turn into a grin. Everything was going according to plan. If the mare and filly was on the dragons side, than she had no problem with them joining her.
She walked backwards, and turned around to fly away some distance. She wanted them to cool down from the event that had just happened in the town. Lethal didn't know what to do with the element bearers, but she knew she had to get rid of them somehow. She shook her head. She needed to plan that later in the best way possible.
She saw how the dragon and two ponies entered and were talking about the events that unfolded. Lethal decided to introduce herself, and flew down and landed on her hooves. The ground bellow had grass that was dry because of Celestia's sun. Spike, Ditzy, and Dinky Doo jumped out of fear. Then, they relaxed but tensed up when they saw that it was a pony. Lethal looked up with her green eyes that would make any creature fall for her.
"Hello dragon, I have heard about what happened, and I have something to offer you. Something I know you want. The same goes for you two." Lethal added as she looked at Ditzy and Dinky. They nodded slowly, not sure of how they are supposed to react.
"What is that offer? And how do you know of what happened?" Spike asked, skeptical. Lethal smiled inside, he was a true soldier. Ditzy and Dinky simply remained quiet as they didn't know whether to get involved or not.
"The offer is; power, money, and revenge. You'll have everything you ever desired, and you won't have to worry about cowards again. As for you two, it is the same offer. But, it is all up to you." Lethal said, making them nod in understanding.
They pondered on the offer. On one hand, they would get everything they ever wanted. The downside is he would become that monster that everypony believes he is. Then again, they maybe would soon forget about him, since that is what they are good at. Ditzy and Dinky where unsure of how to answer, as they weren't sure whether it was genuine or not. Spike looked up at Lethal. He probably wouldn't have another chance like this again, and nodded towards Lethal.
"Yes, I'm interested. My name is Spike The Dragon, and this is Ditzy Doo and her daughter Dinky Doo." Spike said, pointing at himself and his two friends respectively. Lethal nodded, and bowed deeply.
"My name is Lethal Flier. It is nice to meet you." Lethal said, making the here smile at her. "Now, shall we get out of here? I kinda want to stop hiding my horn." The others nodded and walked. Then they stopped and looked at Lethal in shock. 'HORN?'
