"..." something murmured in his ears, almost echoing as light slowly appears, cracking through the darkness, and the voice soon called out again. "Open your eyes..." The light grew brighter, but as soon as it seemed to appear, it also seemed to fade all too soon. "Open your eyes..." He could make out some sort of image as he blinked his heavy eyes. He could hear...water, for some reason, gurgling in his ears. In fact, it felt like they were full of water. As he blinked his still tired eyes he found himself starring at dots of pulsating, blue lights. "Open your eyes..." the voice called out to him, once more. "Open your eyes..." This voice, so soothing, so warm, where did it come from? Why was it calling to him? And most importantly, why did the voice sound so familiar? "Wake up, Link..." Link, the name that was his and the one thing that he would remember. Everything else in his mind seemed so fuzzy. He groaned and let out a sigh, his breath suddenly returning to him. It also seemed like his body forgot how to move. He took a moment, but then he grunted as he slowly sat up, his joints popping uncomfortably, and found that he was wearing nothing but a pair of dark blue shorts. Looking from side-to-side, Link's body beginning to feel looser, and his vision becoming more clear, he found that he was in a chamber of some sort. He moaned as he pulled himself out of his resting spot, water dripping his skin, hair, and shorts, and his bare feet clapping against the cold floor. As he took another look around, he spotted some sort of pedestal with the same blue lights that glowed on his body as he awoke. He didn't know why, but he felt compelled to approach it as if it held the answers he sought. As he neared the pedestal, the lights flashed, and something emerged from it. It was some sort of object, rectangular in shape, with orange glowing runes on it, and in the center, there was some sort of design that looked like an eyeball with a tear falling from it. "That is a Sheikah Slate," the voice from before started. "Take it. It will help guide you after your long slumber." Hesitantly, Link took the object into his hand and held it in front of his eyes. As he turned it around, something seemed to light up, almost like some sort of screen. It felt, warm, and it almost felt familiar to him. That's when the stone wall in front of him seemed to open up, revealing a new corridor in front of him. Confused, but also instinctive, Link entered the hall, and to his surprise, he saw two chests sitting before him, both unlocked. A bit wary, he opened the chest on the right, then jumped back a bit, as if expecting a trap, but when nothing happened, he decided it must've been safe, so he took a look inside and he found an old, tattered shirt with a satchel, the sleeves only reaching up to the elbows. It seemed to be just his size. That's when he looked over to the other chest and opened it as well, finding an old pair of trousers with brown boots inside. Despite waking up in this sort of situation, Link could only smile at his luck. Carefully, Link got dressed in his newfound attire, being careful not to tear the fabric. As soon as he was dressed, he strapped the Sheikah Slate to a strap on his hip, he looked around, finding yet another pedestal, just like the one had seen before. "Hold the Sheikah Slate up to the pedestal," the voice told him. "That will show you the way." Link blinked at the Sheikah Slate before he took it from his hip and held it up to the pedestal as the voice instructed, which caused the pedestal's lights to turn from orange to blue. "Sheikah Slate confirmed." Soon after, the same symbol on the Sheikah Slate appeared on the stone wall, which was covered in runes, and following this, the whole room shook for a moment before the wall opened up, allowing rays of light to come shining in. Link approached the doorway, momentarily shielding his eyes from the light, and once he let them adjust, he opened them wide. "Link," the voice called out to him, again. "You are the light, OUR light, that must shine upon Hyrule once again! Now go..." As he was walking out of the chamber, he saw something he wasn't expecting, colorful ponies and what looked liked some sort of lizard. The yellow one yelped as it hid behind the purple one. The purple one, which to Link's surprise, began to speak. "Hey, uh, who are you?" Link was going to answer, but he got interrupted when he went to edge of the cliff and saw what was one of the most amazing views ever seen. The blue one with a rainbow mane was going to ask him more questions but was interrupted when also saw the amazing view. "You guys need to see this." All of the ponies and fillies walked to the edge of the cliff, they gasped at the sight that laid before all of their eyes: a vast landscape of forests. Trees as far as the eye could see, and beyond that was a vast, grassy plain, as well as a volcano with plumes of smokes billowing from its mouth, and a shadowy structure of some sort. "It's beautiful." the white one said as she was about to cry. As if they were all sensed being watched, they turned to see a strange figure, staring at them, momentarily, before he turned and walked away. Curiosity overcoming his caution, Link soon followed after the stranger, only to be followed by all 9 ponies and the dragon. "Hey, wait up! We got questions!" The blue pegasus spoke. To Link though, he had many more questions than answers as well that needed to be answered. Chapter 2 - The Old ManSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Chapter 3 - Follow the Sheikah SlateThe grass rustled and crunched under Link's boots and the ponie's hoofs. They walked around, their eyes glancing around and their ears listening to nothing but the sound of the wind. The one known as Rainbow Dash was the one to brake the silence. "So, since we are going to be traveling together for a while, do you mind telling us your name?" she asked the young man walking next to her. Silence... "A man of few words, huh?" Applejack asked him, giving her a nod as a response. "I can't blame you there, partner. Some folks just don't like talking very much. Then, just as they were about halfway towards the temple (or what's left of it), there was a peculiar sound that got the group's attention. "What was that?" Fluttershy ask as she went to find the source of the noise, but when she saw what she thought was a pig, she shrieked and quickly hid behind Link. Everyone then saw what made the yellow pegasus so scared; some sort of imp-like creature with red skin, a horn in the middle of its forehead, and beady blue-eyed, holding a large, wooden club in its three-fingered hand, and had nothing but a loin cloth on. Upon slinking out of the shadows, the creature let out a screech as it charged at the ponies and dragon, who gasped before Link brandished the torch he had been given. Then, he reeled back, not to run, but as if he were preparing. Just as the creature got close, he swung the torch with a single stroke of his arm, hitting the monster in the jaw and sending it stumbling back. It shook its head before growling at Link, who posed himself to strike again. As the imp charged at Link, he swung the torch again, this time landing a blow on the monsters ribs, then made a stabbing motion, landing a direct hit to the chest, causing the creature to cry out in pain as it crumpled to the ground and then exploded into a cloud of purplish-black smoke, leaving everyone shocked. It was then Rainbow Dash flew up to Link with a huge grin on her face. "That. Was. AWESOME!" She said excitedly. "You need to tell me how you did that!" Before he could say anything, his ears picked up another sound. "..." Link gasped silently, while the others looked at him in confusion. "...Link..." It was that voice again... but where was it coming from? "Link. Head for the point marked on the map in your Sheikah Slate." The voice echoed in his head, causing Link to glance at his Sheikah Slate. He held it up, looking down at its screen. Twilight went over to see why he was looking at the strange object. The eye insignia swirled around for a moment before it changed, revealing some sort of map... but she couldn't make out the location. She did notice one thing: a little yellow dot, and an arrow pointing to it. "It seems that the arrow represents our location, while the dots seems to be where we need to go.' She turned over to Link and said, "It doesn't seem that far, we can walk there". Putting the Sheikah Slate away, Link nodded as everyone then followed him. What they didn't realize, was that a whole new adventure was about to begin for the Mane 6 and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Author's Note I was not ready. For the short time this story was posted, I was not expecting it to reach over 1,000 views. So thank you for the support. Sorry this chapter was very short, but this really needed to be posted sooner or later. Chapter 4 - RealizationsThe group's saw two Bokoblins , creeping around the corners of the walls. They growled before they charged at them, causing Link to whip out his torch once more. One lunged, screeching as it tried to strike the young man down with its club, but Link countered by slamming it in the skull with his torch with a downward swing, then swinging to the left, then right, effectively defeating the Bokoblin. However, the other one still remained, and this one had not just a club, but a crudely made shield carved from tree bark. It didn't look very strong, but the Bokoblin in didn't seem to care as long as it had some way of defending itself while attacking Link. Maybe... Throwing caution to the wind, Link charged and then swung his torch at the creature... but it snapped in half against its shield, causing the ponies to gasp as they realized he was now defenseless... or was he? Spike glanced back and saw that the Bokoblin in Link had vanquished earlier had left its club behind. There was only a short window before its companion could strike. Not wasting another second, Spike ran for the club and grabbed it. "Heads up!" Link turned to Spike as he saw the small dragon tossed the club to him. After he had successfully caught the weapon, he turned to his opponents, his eyes locked onto the Bokoblins eyes. Then, the imp lunged, arms spread out as it let out a screech, only for Link to swing the club and strike the Bokoblin right in the face, causing it to fall right on its back, dropping its shield and club in the process. Knowing that it had a chance to recover, Link rushed the creature and began to lay a wallop on it, just as Pinkie Pie started to cheer for their savior. Before too long, it was over. Link panted heavily as the adrenaline subsided. He just couldn't explain it, but it almost felt as though he had fought these creatures before... no... more like some subconscious muscle memory had caused him to act in defense, whether he had encountered these monsters before or not. Dismissing the thought, Link decided it was best not to worry about it, for now, and instead head to the location which the Sheikah Slate had marked. If anything, maybe wherever he was going could explain why he couldn't remember anything, or why there were colorful talking ponies with him. After talking the crudely-made shield for good measure, he looked over to Spike, whom he couldn't help but smile at. After what the little dragon did to help in that last battle, Link knew that he and his companions can be trusted. After making their way out of the maze of stone walls, they paused as they spotted something in the ground; some kind of large... statue, maybe? It had these long, metallic legs, covered in rust and moss, and it had this urn-like shape. It was then Twilight Sparkle went over to the statue do examine it more closely. "Amazing." she said. "I have never seen something like this in my entire life." "It does look a bit old thought." Rarity stated as she and everyone else, except for Link, went over to the object. As Link stared at it... something seemed to flash before his eyes. It was the same kind of statue, only now, it was not rusted and moss-ridden. It had 6 long legs with a claw on each end, strong-looking runes that glowed with a menacing red light, and a single blue eye in its center, glowering down at him as it began to glow. As soon as the image appeared... it vanished, causing Link to gasp and hold his head for a moment, as if he were in pain. That got everypony's attention and ran back over to him, wondering if there human friend was okay. "Twilight! What's wrong with him?!" the dragon asked his friend in a concerned and panicked voice. "I don't know! You don't get those kind of headaches unless-" she stopped her reply as she then realized what was happening. "...unless you're suffering from Amnesia." she finished, making everyone else gasp in shock. As soon as she finished her statement, the pain in Link's head subsided, and then looked up, seeing his new friends looking at him in concern. "So it's true? You really can't remember anything?" the cyan pegasus asked Link, causing him to sigh and shake his head in defeat, and look at the strange... well, whatever it was. They all stared at it for a moment before they all decided to leave so something like that doesn't happen to Link again. With that, they trekked on, heading for... wherever it was they needed to go. Working on another project.I am sorry for those who have enjoyed the story so far, but I am gonna have to cancel this. Prologue - Leaving EquestriaAuthor's Note This is my first ever story to write. Please let me know how well I did. Prologue - Leaving Equestria It was nearly sunrise in Ponyville. The Main 6 were inside the Castle of Friendship (this takes place after Season 4) along with the CMC and Spike. Twilight was walking down the hall with her best friends. "I am telling you guys, it is a lot harder being a princess than you think it is. Everyone is expecting you to be a great ruler. I am still not sure I am ready for that." Twilight states as she looks down at the floor. Spike then tries to cheer her up. "Come on, Twilight. You did so many great things so far, I am sure you ca-" he was suddenly interrupted when a bright light surrounded everyone's bodies. Applejack started to panic about what was going. "Hopping Horseshoes!" Rainbow Dash, for probably once in her life, was feeling a little scared, while the Cutie Mark Crusaders were so scared they were holding on to the closest pony they were to. Suddenly the light that surrounded everypony glowed so bright that no one could see a thing. "AAAHHHH!!!" everyone went as they somehow teleported out of the castle, and little did they know, out of Equestria. As they were being teleported, they started to hear a voice that sounded like a young woman. "I MUST, PROTECT, EVERYONE!" The light faded away, only to see that they were on a cliff outside of what looked like an ancient shrine. "Is everypony alright?" Twilight Sparkle asked in a worrying matter. Rarity was the first one to answer. "We're all alright darling, but, where are we?" Appleboom asked, "Are we even in Equestria right now?" Sweetie Bell looked up to her older sister. "Can we go home now?" As soon as Rarity was about to answer, something came out of the ancient shrine that none of the Main 6 or The CMC ever saw before, except for Twilight and Spike. They knew what this creature was. This creature was human.
