Ponyville 7:00am

It is 7:00am now in the most happiest and merriment town in Equestria known as Ponyville. Many ponies were seen walking out of their homes to greet each other to start the morning. Some however were still asleep because it was still very early. The ponies who woke up first have all decided to talk to each other and go to work.

In King Thorax and Queen Twilight Sparkle's castle. King Thorax, Queen Twilight and Princess Twirax were all seen gathered up in the living room of their home. They have all just woken up at 7:00am, and Alistair was still sound asleep in his bedroom comfortably. The reason why Thorax, Twilight and Twirax have all woken up at such an early time is because today is Alistair's four years old birthday.

"I can't believe that it's already my little brother's birthday." Twirax squealed in a joyful manner "He is already four years old." She added with a wide smile.

"Indeed, he is growing up so fast." Twilight said with a proud smile.

"Agreed Twinkle's." Thorax said nuzzling his wife "So, should we get going now?" He asked.

"Sure." Twilight said with a nod "I have left a note on the table at the kitchen." She told him as she pointed at the yellow memo pad.

"And I have already put his cereal on the table and the milk next to it." Twirax said.

"Good." Thorax said with a proud smile "Now, shall we go?" He asked.

"We shall." Twilight and Twirax said in unison with nods.

After that, Thorax, Twilight and Twirax all turned around and walked to the doors of the living room. Once they got to it, Thorax pushed the two doors opened and he, his wife and daughter all exited the living room.

Then, Thorax, Twilight and Twirax all walked downstairs to the front doors of their home to go to buy Alistair's birthday gift.

Back in the living room, Alistair has just woken up from his sleep and has walked to the front doors of the living room. He pushed the two doors open with his magic and to his great surprise, his parents and big sister weren't in there.

"Huh? Well this is strange." Alistair said with a perplexed expression as he entered the living room.

Alistair then looked around the living room for a while, and when he averted his eyes down on the dinning table in the middle of the room with a large rectangular window behind it and in front of his parents chairs. He saw his favourite box of cereal and milk on the table, and the sight has made him very bewildered. He didn't even bring his food out.

But before he could investigate, his stomach rumbled.

"Oh, I should eat now."

Then, Alistair seated on his chair. After that, he activated his horn and levitated the cereal up in the air and poured down cereal into his bowl, after ten seconds, his bowl was nearly full and he closed the cereal box and put his it aside.

After that, Alistair pulled the milk near him with his right hoof. He twisted the cap off and levitated it up in the air. Then, he poured it down on his cereal. Ten seconds later, he was completed. He put the milk aside and closed the lid. Then, he picked up a spoon with his right hoof and started to eat.

In Ponyville, King Thorax, Queen Twilight and Princess Twirax were seen walking through the peaceful and happy town. And many of the ponies and changelings there were seen bowing to the rulers, and the royals waved their hooves in response.

After walking through town for two minutes, Thorax, Twilight and Twirax have all arrived at their destination.

"Alright, here we are."

Thorax, Twilight and Twirax were standing in front of a store that is known as Ponyville's pet store.

"Okay, time to find Alistair a pet." Said Twilight.

"Indeed." Twirax said with a nod.

Then, Thorax, Twilight and Twirax entered the store.

Once they were in, Thorax, Twilight and Twirax saw many ponies and changelings in there looking at all kinds of animals in the pet store.

"Whoa, now that a lot of animals." Twirax said with an astonished expression.

"Indeed." Twilight agreed with a nod as well as stroking her daughter on the head gently.

"Agreed." Thorax said "Okay, so let's go through the place to see which pet would be the most suitable for Alistair." He told them.

Twilight and Twirax nodded and the three royals all split up and walked through the pet store to see which pet would be the most suitable for Alistair.

At Twilight's area, Twilight saw many adorable cats and dogs held in cages. But dogs and cats might not be very suitable for Alistair, plus it takes a lot of responsibilities to take care of dogs and cats.

"Cats and dogs wouldn't be good for Alistair." Twilight told herself. Then, she walked forward again to find the suitable pet for Alistair.

In another section of the pet store, Twirax was seen walking through a section with goldfish, turtles, seahorses, and many other aquatic animals and plants. There were also some packages of food for the animals as well.

"Goldfish? No. Turtles? No. Lionfish? Too dangerous." Twirax said looking at the pets, she would like to have goldfishes as her pets but, she doesn't have any interest in pets. After ten seconds, she let out a frustrated sigh "Ugh, none of these pets are suitable for my sweet little brother, he needs something more cooler." She said. Then, she walked through the shop again.

In the area where Thorax is, Thorax was looking at many different kinds of reptile pets. And the sight has flabbergasted him completely.

"Wow, many of these reptile pets sure are cool." Thorax said with an astonished expression "But, some of them do seem intimidating and hazardous to Alistair, my wife and daughter, I have to pick a more kinder one." He said sternly.

Thorax was looking up at shelves and saw many reptile animals like tortoises, geckos and many more which seemed very petrifying. But, when his eyes averted down at the bottom shelf, Thorax saw something very cool.

In the bottom shelf was a cute little black and colour reptile in a glass box. It was about seven to ten inches long, and Thorax must assume that it has just hatched from its egg.

"Why aren't you a cute one." Thorax said as he bent down and looked at the lizard in the glass box.

Before Thorax could look at it more clearly, he heard hoofsteps coming towards him. Thorax looked at his left and saw his wife Twilight and daughter Twirax coming towards him.

"Oh hey girls."

"Hello Thory." Said Twilight.

"Any luck on finding a perfect pet for Alistair?" Thorax asked.

"Nope." Twirax replied with a shake of her head. "None of these pets are suitable for him." She told him.

"Yeah, I couldn't find anything suitable either." Twilight told him.

"Well, what about this one?" Thorax asked pointing at the pet in the glass box.

Twilight and Twirax both looked at where Thorax was pointing and saw a very cute blaxk and white coloured baby lizard.

"I think that should be perfect for him." Said Thorax.

"A reptile?" Twirax asked with a perplexed expression "Why would any foals in Equestria want a reptile as a pet dad?" She asked again.

"Well, Alistair did have an interest in lizards Twirax." Thorax reminded her, and Twirax remembered how Alistaor played with some lizards in the playground when he was young and he did seem to have fun." He told her.

Twilight and Twirax started to ponder on whether to buy this lizard as a gift for Alistair on his birthday. They did remember that Alistair did play with some lizards near the bushes in the playground, and he did seem to have fun with them. Then, after a brief moment, they have made their decision.

"Okay then, let's buy this lizard." Twilight and Twirax said in unison.

Thorax then grabbed the glass box with his magic and pulled it off the shelf. Then, he stood up and the three royals started to walk to the cash checkout area.

Fifteen minutes later

Thorax, Twilight and Twirax have all just returned home after their trip at the pet store. Thorax was seen carrying a red gift box with the lizard in there.

"I hope the little guy can breath in there." Twirax said with a concerned expression.

"Its okay Twirax." Twilight assured her daughter with a gentle nuzzle to her forehead si have casted a spell so that the little lizard can breath." She told her.

"That's good to know."

Thorax, Twilight and Twirax then approached the front doors of the castle and Twirax knocked on it. After a brief second, the two doors opened the three royals saw Starlight.

"Why welcome back you three." Starlight said with a smile, she then took notice of the gift box "I assume that that's the gift for Alistair?" She asked.

"Yes you are correct aunt Starlight." Twirax said with a nod.

"Cool."

"Where's Alistair?"

"He's reading chemistry books in his room Twilight." Starlight replied.

"Okay, then this will give us lots of time to prepare for his birthday with Viper, Screwball, Precious, Pinkie Pie, the CMC'S, Sail and others." Twilight said with a smile.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's prepare this party." Twirax said with a enthusiastic expression.
