The Day Before Break
It was a brisk autumn day in Ponyville and the smell of pumpkin spice filled the air wherever you go. To top it off, Ponyville was decorated accordingly. Drenched in beautiful leaves of red, yellow, and brown, all raked up in neat piles in which the fillies and colts could play, and full of autumn activities for all. You could say that ponies are festive, and that isn't that far off.
At the School of Friendship.....
"Remember that it's the final day before break!" Twilight Sparkle announced.
All of the Young Six, Gallus, Yona, Silverstream, Smolder, Sandbar, and Ocellus, rejoiced.
"I can't wait until Thanksgiving break!" Silverstream said.
"Me neither," said Sandbar, "It's gonna be a blast!"
"Damn straight!" Smolder exclaimed.
Twilight Sparkle went to her office, where she was greeted by Spike and Starlight.
"Hi, Twilight," said Starlight Glimmer, "Are you ready for Thanksgiving?"
"That's just what I was gonna talk about," Twilight said, putting decorations out on her desk.
"If you need help on planning a fall-themed party before break, I could help," Starlight said.
"No need," Twilight replied, "I've got Pinkie on the job right now."
"Oh, um, OK," said Starlight Glimmer.
"But I do know what you can help me do," Twilight said.
"And what's that?" Starlight and Spike asked.
Twilight Sparkle chuckled. "One at a time, please," she said with a friendly smile. She then used her magic to pick up a box and put it on the table. "I need your help making cards so that we can do the Thankful Circle I'm thinking of doing!" she exclaimed, "Oh, I can't wait! It's gonna be so fun!"
Starlight Glimmer looked confused. "Thankful Circle?" she said, "Where I'm from, that sort of thing never happened."
"A Thankful Circle is just what it sounds like," Spike explained, "Everycreature sits in a circle and says who and what they're thankful for."
"No offence, but that sounds stupid," Starlight remarked.

Hours later, Twilight Sparkle came to check on Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo.
"Looks good, girls!" she said, "I almost doubted you there!"
"Why would you doubt us, Twilight?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Well, you have been pretty mischievous lately," Twilight Sparkle replied.
"And who's to blame for that?" Scootaloo said with a slightly cheeky smile.
"You are!" yelled Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.
"Girls, girls! Enough! It's four days until Thanksgiving!" Twilight said.
"Says the prick," Scootaloo muttered.
Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle shared a laugh.
"GIRLS!" shouted Twilight. She sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you," Twilight said, "I'll be going."
Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo look at the ground and then up at Twilight.
"Wait!" Scootaloo said, "This is mostly my fault... no, it's my fault. I was the one who thought it would be funny to pee on the hay bales and was the one who organised the rebellion. I'm sorry."
Twilight Sparkle turned around and trotted back towards the Cutie Mark Crusaders. She used her wing endearingly to hold up Scootaloo's head, smiling warmly. "I know you didn't intend the incident to end up like this, but understand that I could not just let this slide. I forgive you."
"Thank you for understanding, Twilight," Scootaloo said, "I think from this experience, even though it was heckin' hilarious, I learned a valuable lesson."
"And what was that, Scootaloo?" Twilight asked.
"That not everypony takes crude humour the same way," Scootaloo said.
Twilight Sparkle chuckled. "I bet Rainbow Dash would think it's funny if you told her about it, but let's put this behind us for now. It's almost the holidays and there's a lot to do before Thanksgiving break."
Scootaloo smiled. "You're right. I better go tell her that it was me! I'm so dang sure that she'll laugh her flank off!"
So she attempted to flutter over to Rainbow Dash, but as always, stumbled and fell with each try. "Dang it!" Scootaloo said, "These frickin' wings! I think I'll trot thank you very much."
"Just be back in time for the Thankful Circle!" Twilight called.
"Sure thing, Twilight!" Scootaloo called.
As soon as she reached Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash smiled and ruffled Scootaloo's dark magenta mane.
"Hey, Scoots," Rainbow Dash said, "So it was you who pulled that little prank back there. Pretty damn awesome, kid! I'm proud of you!"
"Twilight isn't," Scootaloo said.
"At this point, who gives a damn what she thinks? That was frickin' hilarious!" Rainbow Dash said, laughing so hard she fell onto the floor, "Hot damn, that's frickin' priceless!" She continued to laugh uncontrollably.
"I'll just leave you to it," Scootaloo said.
So she made her way back to her friends.
Soon enough, the Young Six and Starlight were already in one of the recreational classrooms of the School of Friendship. After them came the Mane Six, Spike, and lastly, the Cutie Mark Crusaders and Cozy Glow.
"Aren't you excited?" Silverstream exclaimed, "So this is a Thankful Circle!"
"Yeah, never got much of this back in Griffonstone either," Gallus said, "I kinda feel bad for my fellow griffins. I wonder if some event made them grumpy."
"Forget about those worthless shits," Smolder said, "Sure, they're gloomy and always angry without much emotion most of the time, but you're forgetting that you and Gabby are the only griffins who aren't complete dicks."
"I guess," Gallus said.
When Twilight Sparkle trotted up to the front of the classroom, all the voices were ceased and the room was silent. Next to Twilight stood Starlight and Spike on the right. On the left stood Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack.
"Since this is the final day before Thanksgiving break, we've got a fun activity for all of you!" Twilight Sparkle said, "In this activity, we will sit in a circle and say what we're thankful for! How's that sound?"
"Boring!" Rainbow Dash said, faking a yawn.
Twilight nudged Rainbow Dash. "It's supposed to be fun!" she whisper-shouted.
"We'll see about that," Rainbow Dash said, "What I want is a real Thanksgiving party with a badass meal of..." Her mouth began to water as she filled her mind with pictures of fresh cooked turkey and other traditional Thanksgiving dishes.
Fluttershy waved her hoof in front of Rainbow Dash. "Uh, Rainbow Dash, are you OK?"
"Just a sexual fantasy between you and me," Rainbow Dash lied.
"What a big fat lie," Fluttershy said, "I know you better than that. You're thinking of a Thanksgiving turkey, aren't you?"
"Shit, you caught me," Rainbow Dash said, "Oh, so delicious!"
"The poor turkey!" Fluttershy cried. She knew she had to do something, but was afraid to step up and take the spotlight in front of everypony, regardless of she knew all of them, which she did.
"You know you don't have to eat it," Rainbow Dash said.
"I know that, but...!" Fluttershy said. She let out an angry sigh. "Animals should be treated as equals! Why do we eat them without giving the thought about what they think before you kill them! They deserve to live as much as we do!"
"There she goes again," Rainbow Dash said.

"Then I'll make it work someday!" Fluttershy insisted. She went to sit down in the circle.
Twilight Sparkle clapped her hooves together. "Who's going first? Show of hooves!"
Starlight rose her hoof. "I'll go," she said.
The Princess of Friendship smiled. "Go ahead, Starlight," Twilight said.
"I'm thankful for my husband Sunburst as well as my daughters Luster Dawn and Solar Flare,"I am also thankful for Trixie and all of my wonderful friends who could be here today." She looked up at Twilight. "Which way are we going?"
"Clockwise," Twilight Sparkle replied, "So next would be Applejack."
"I ain't thankful for much, but if I had to choose, I'd say I'm thankful for my family," Applejack said, "To be honest, family has always been big for the Apples. But I'm also thankful for all of you because I wouldn't have learned so doggone much if it weren't for my friends."
It was now Fluttershy's turn, but she refused. "I'm sorry, but the only thing I'll ever be thankful for is the end of animal abuse!"
"Are you OK, Fluttershy?" Twilight asked.
Fluttershy took a few deep breaths. "Now, do I look OK?" Fluttershy said. She sighed. "I'm thankful for Rainbow Dash, though she eats animals as if they're for consumption, Zephyr Breeze, and the rest of my friends. I am also extremely grateful for the amount of animals that Princess Celestia and Luna have blessed us with."
"That's not what I--!" said Rainbow Dash, "Flutters, what the hell has gotten into you?"
"I will do anything for the animals in my care," Fluttershy said, "I'm sorry."
"Uh, OK," said Rainbow Dash, "I guess I'm next."
"Sure, go ahead. I'll be in the staff dorms," Fluttershy said, flying to her room at the School of Friendship.
"I'm thankful for Fluttershy, Scootaloo, and all of my friends," Rainbow Dash said.
After Rainbow Dash, Gallus and Silverstream shared their Thanksgiving wishes. Twilight's Thankful Circle lasted for a few more hours until it was finally time for the Cutie Mark Crusaders and herself to share.
"I'm thankful for Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle," Apple Bloom replied.
"The pony I'm most thankful for is my sister, Rainbow Dash. If she didn't always encourage me to keep trying to fly and she wasn't so frickin' awesome as hell, I wouldn't have anypony to look up to, would I?" said Scootaloo, "In addition to Rainbow Dash, I really wouldn't be anything without my two best friends, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle."
"Great sharing, Scootaloo!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Thank you," she replied.
Twilight Sparkle flashed a smile. "You're welcome," she said. She moved her head slightly towards Sweetie Belle, signaling to the young filly that it was her turn to share something she was, thankful for.
"Oh gosh! They've already touched up on a lot of it, but OK. Here I go," Sweetie Belle said, "I'm thankful for Rarity, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo."
"Alright," said Twilight, "Last but not least." Twilight thought about it for a few minutes and then shared. "As you all know, I am thankful for my friends. Without my friends, I wouldn't have discovered that friendship is magic and the importance of friendship before I met them. But as I learned alongside them all these years, I am still thankful for them for leaving a long-lasting impact on my life."
After Twilight had concluded the Thankful Circle, it was 5:00 P. M., which signaled the end of the day.
"Hope you all enjoyed the little holiday activity I planned!" Twilight chirped, "See you back on January 7th!"
Starlight trotted up to Twilight, followed by Spike closely behind.
"So, how do you think it went?" Twilight asked.
"It was fun," Starlight replied, "But shouldn't you be more worried about Fluttershy? She isn't being herself."
"You're right,"Twilight said,"We need to see if Fluttershy's OK."
"Way ahead of you, Twilight!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Seems like Rainbow Dash has it taken care of," said Twilight, "Though I do still wonder what was with the outburst. I wish I could help in some way, but I was preoccupied with some damn Thanksgiving Circle to think anything of it!"
"Don't worry, Twilight. It's not your fault," Starlight reassured her.
Twilight trotted away to go find Fluttershy without as much as saying a word.
Fixing Things With Fluttershy Lyrics

Rainbow Dash flew into the staff dorm rooms, checking every one to find where Fluttershy was. Eventually, she came across a door that was painted yellow with three butterflies, indicating Fluttershy's cutie mark. But as soon as she rose her hoof to knock, Twilight appeared right behind.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I feel like I'm a part of this somehow. If I wasn't so occupied with the Thankful Circle, I would've been able to help you get to the bottom of this," Twilight replied.
"Don't beat yourself up, Twilight," said Rainbow Dash, "Fluttershy has done this animal activist thing before and I know exactly what we should do."
"And what do you propose?" Twilight asked.
"Just give her some time," Rainbow Dash said, "She'll probably be out of it the day after Thanksgiving."
"But we can't wait that long! There's still four days until Thanksgiving!" Twilight cried, "Who knows how long we can wait? We need to help her and see what's going on now instead of later!"
"If you wanna piss her off, then go the hell ahead," Rainbow Dash said, "I've changed my mind. I'm just gonna sit here and let things pass and then check on her."
"Then suit yourself," Twilight Sparkle said, "I'm gonna go check on Fluttershy."
"If she's nuts, don't say I didn't say so!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Sure thing," Twilight muttered.
So Twilight knocked on the door.
"Come in," said Fluttershy.
She did not come to the door or anything. Instead, Fluttershy was sitting in her bed in a cold rage.
"Fluttershy, we've all realised that you weren't really being the Fluttershy we knew back there," Twilight said.
"And?" Fluttershy said, "I don't have to change my mind just because you say so. I said what I thought needed to be said. Is that good enough?"
"Is everything alright, Fluttershy? You know you can always tell me what's going on," Twilight said.
"Yes, it is," Fluttershy said, "Now please get out."
"I-I just wanted to check in on you because you're my friend!" Twilight cried, "I'm worried about you!"
"I know, but I assure you, it's nothing to worry about," Fluttershy said. Then Fluttershy took a few seconds to let it sink in. "You're not actually worried, are you? You're just worried that your friend has gone crazy and thinks that she should be admitted to the nearest mental hospital. Well, you think you're so normal, you never take the time to understand me and how strongly I feel about animal rights!" Fluttershy shouted, hurt,"I'm sorry you feel that way!"

Fluttershy shouted, "And if I do, expect me to release all my animal friends on you and see what you can do to stop me and stand in my way from protecting them from everycreature that could abuse and slaughter them at will! DON'T YOU DARE UNDERESTIMATE ME, BITCH!"
"Wow, Fluttershy... I don't think I've ever heard you swear before," Twilight said with a nervous smile.
"Oh, there's more where that came from, but really, should I?" Fluttershy said, "I'm fine, thank you. Now it's time for you to go. Come on. You don't wanna endanger my sweet little angels now do you?"
"Alright, I'll be going," Twilight said, transporting out of the room as fast as she could.
"So, how'd it go?" Rainbow Dash said.
"I think we may have to do more than just talk her out of it," Twilight said, "And not only give her time. There's more serious matters at hoof. I think Fluttershy may have let all of this get to her head and now she's a completely different pony. She seems cold... evil even."
"That is serious," Rainbow Dash said, "So what do we do?"
"I don't know," Twilight said, "Like you said, we'll try situating this out after Thanksgiving."
"Sounds good by me," Rainbow Dash said.
And so the plan was sealed.
Author's Note
I really didn't expect Fluttershy to turn evil and neither do I support it. I'm just thinking that sometimes when we are stuck on something, especially a thought or belief, our mind gets frazzled and can't think straight. I think that Fluttershy will hopefully learn this lesson by the final chapter.
Days passed and it was finally Thanksgiving Day. Like always around the holiday season, ponies and creatures all across Ponyville were hustling and bustling around town with excitement as they brought ingredients home to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with family and friends.
But this year, as she did every year, Pinkie Pie was hosting the biggest Thanksgiving get-together in all of Ponyville in a huge room she had reserved just for the occasion. She was sure that all her friends would be there, but was very disappointed and shocked to find out that Fluttershy could not come.
"What!?" Pinkie said in bewilderment, "How could she miss the best Thanksgiving meal get together in all of Ponyville?"
"She's going through things right now," said Twilight, which wasn't wrong, but was still hiding some confidential information from Pinkie regarding one of their close friends. Twilight knew that Fluttershy would not have wanted her to share it anyway.
"Well, that's too bad," Pinkie said, "One less chair, plate, and silverware set then."
"Yeah, I'm sorry, Pinkie,"Rainbow Dash said,"I got word from Fluttershy. She says she's not coming for undefined reasons."
"Well, you know what they say," Pinkie said, "The party must go on!"
"Don't you mean 'the show must go on'?" Starlight asked.
"Eh, something like that," Pinkie replied, "Let's get this Thanksgiving fest and meal started!"
Meanwhile....
"Yes," Fluttershy said, "Do it. I'll be watching everything and don't ask me where I got this crystal ball."
Fluttershy intentively watched as Pinkie Pie set the table. On it was a cornucopia with different autumn fruits and cornbread. Adjacent to the left sat steamed dinner rolls in a clear white bowl decorated with cupcakes along the rim. Towards the middle of the table, there sat mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, and various types of casserole.
That was it for Fluttershy. She didn't have to see any more to make her conclusion. "I won't let them hurt you," Fluttershy said while petting Angel Bunny's fluffy white head, "Not on my life."
So Fluttershy took to the extreme and set down her crystal ball. This was where things were about to get interesting. Before the rest of the Mane 5 knew it, Fluttershy had appeared right in front of them with a rage that they've never seen before on Fluttershy. The once kind and innocent young pegasus had now abandoned herself and was ready to strike for the sake of the animals. Her eyes turned a bloodthirsty red with her face red with anger, a sign that something was wrong - - very wrong. She jumped in front of the Thanksgiving table.
"You can't stop me!" Fluttershy said, "How dare you eat a turkey for Thanksgiving? That is morally wrong! Have you simpletons learned NOTHING!? Now you shall PAY!"
"It's not like that, Fluttershy," Twilight said, "You can't go around telling everycreature what they should and shouldn't eat."
Fluttershy hung her head. "I--," she said, closing her eyes with remorse. Suddenly, Fluttershy became angry again. "YOU WILL NOT EAT MEAT!" she shouted, "I WON'T ALLOW IT!"

"Now what?" Spike said, "We can't have a Thanksgiving meal without the iconic turkey!"
"I don't know, Spike," Twilight replied, "I feel really bad for Fluttershy. I feel like I might've pushed her too much."
"Don't worry about it," Spike said, "Didn't Rainbow Dash say that she's done something like this before? We should just let her get over it herself."
"And watch her battle with that version of herself? No thank you!" said Twilight, "I'd rather die than ignore a friend in need."
"I'm telling you, Twi. I've known Fluttershy way longer than you have. I frickin' grew up with her," Rainbow Dash said, "And you're telling me I don't know what's best for Fluttershy? Oh, bitch please! I even married her if you don't remember!"
"Of course I remember," Twilight said, "I was there. Being a lesbian myself, I couldn't not be proud of you. Oh, and I am also your friend, so that aspect too."
"You're forgetting that unsuccessful relationship with Soarin. He's a total dumbass!" Rainbow Dash said, "That frickin' dickhead isn't even smart in the slightest. So, get it straight that I'm bisexual." She smiled. "I said 'straight', didn't I? That's funny because it isn't true."
"Yeah," Twilight said, "Now let's dig in."
"I really don't wanna upset Fluttershy, so I say we ditch the turkey this year," Rainbow Dash suggested.
"Yeah, you're right," Pinkie said, putting the turkey on the counter.
Fluttershy watched as Pinkie Pie set the roast turkey on the counter. Furiously, she swept in and threw it all in the trash. "Now, my animal friends, you are safe and sound from these murderers," she said, stroking their fur.
Twilight Sparkle faced Fluttershy. "Why are you doing this? Ruining our Thanksgiving like this just 'cause you believe that animals should not be consumed?" she pressed.
"Because it's right!" Fluttershy said, "And I won't stop until every ounce of meat has vanished from my sight!"
"Think about what you're doing!" Twilight cried.
"Me? Think what I'm doing?" Fluttershy scoffed. "Like I ever will. How about you think about what you're doing? By eating meat, several animals are killed and it is similar to eating roadkill right off the street! Millions of animals are dying for the consumption of the ill-minded ponies and creatures that consume it! Now will you join me in the rebellion against animal abuse?"
"No!" Twilight cried, "I really don't wanna fight you!"
"No? Well, that's quite alright. I really thought that you would be a good sport about it considering you're the Princess of Friendship and all that shit, but I guess Princess Celestia was wrong about you. Part of friendship is pledging your friendship to each and every animal in Equestria, but of course, somepony like you wouldn't give a damn no matter how much I keep discussing the issue. "
"Fluttershy, please! It's Thanksgiving! Come to your senses!" cried Twilight.
Rainbow Dash jumped in front of Twilight Sparkle. "I won't let you hurt her!"
Fluttershy reached out her hoof to grab Rainbow Dash's as she recalled the memory of Rainbow Dash standing up to Hoops, Score, and Dumbbell back then. Soon Fluttershy's mane turned back to normal and her red eyes returned to their normal light teal.
"I'm very sorry for what happened," Fluttershy said, "Can you ever forgive me?"
Her friends smiled. "Sure, we can!" they exclaimed.
So Fluttershy enjoyed the meal with her friends, having a fun Thanksgiving celebration for the rest of the night.

"Hey, Twilight," said Rainbow Dash, trotting into her office, "We have a little situation with the hayride."
"What do you mean, Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked.
"Come see for yourself," Rainbow Dash replied.
"But what about the cards for the Thankful Circle? I only have one left!"
"Screw those for now," Rainbow Dash said, "Who the hell needs shitty cards like those when you'll do fine without 'em at the real Thankful Circle?"
"I suppose you're right," Twilight said, "Let me see what's going on."
"A filly pissed there," Rainbow Dash remarked.
"Holy shit! That's disgusting!" Twilight cried. The alicorn trotted over to the bales of hay and inspected it. "Yeah, that's pee alright."
Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were snickering.
"Which one of you couldn't control yourself?" Twilight asked, trying to keep her cool.
Apple Bloom pointed to Sweetie Belle, and Sweetie Belle pointed to Scootaloo, who blushed with embarrassment.
"It was only meant as a joke, Twilight!" Scootaloo insisted, "I didn't mean to make it seem like any less!"
"Very funny, Scootaloo," Twilight said, "Well, you three are cleaning this up."
Twilight Sparkle trotted back to her office to get the Cutie Mark Crusaders cleaning supplies.
"Dang it," Scootaloo said, "It's the holiday season. Can't we just have a little pranking fun?"
"Yeah!" the other two joined in.
"Do we have to listen to what Twilight says?" Scootaloo asked.
Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle looked at each other.
"We don't wanna get in trouble," Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle said.
"Do we have to listen to what that damn prick says?" Scootaloo repeated, "Who the hell's with me?"
Again, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle glanced at each other worriedly. There was no stopping Scootaloo at this point.
"Ah, what the hell," Apple Bloom said.
