The Stupidity of The Crimes of the Condemned and those who followed.
I sit on my throne waiting for the murderer of my nephew. He was killed a month ago by a creature not from this world, a "human" is what his kind is called. He somehow ended up in this world by complete accident and have no idea how. Four months ago, he spent the first two weeks near Ponyville, hiding from others and secretly stealing food until he was caught stealing apples from Applejack's Apple Stand.
Twilight and her friends brought him here to Canterlot to meet with me, he told his story about how his fishing boat capsize during a storm and the next thing he knew he was here in Equestria. After hearing his tale I offered him a place to stay in the castle so he can be granted Equestrian citizenship.
Through out the couple weeks of his stay, he spent time getting use to his new surroundings. The two of us would spend time together, getting know one another. I really enjoyed his company. He was nice, kind, and quite charming, I even consider him a friend. He made many friends in the castle, even Luna warm up to him quite quickly and the two of them became almost inseparable.
Despite being accepted by everypony and having a place among us, he would tell me how much he miss his family and friends, and that he wants to return to his home world. I promise him I would look into way to return him home and hopefully I will succeed in granting his wish to return to his life and love ones....But now that doesn't look like its ever going to happen.
The man I saw as my friend is now my prisoner, arrested for murder on the third degree. Their was a trial but it was an open and shut case. He was found by me, Captain Shining Armor, and a few other guards that night in Prince Bluebloods office. His clothes and hands were covered in blood, he was still holding the knife, and even confess to killing my nephew without the slightest bit of hesitation or regret.
When I saw Blueblood dead on the floor at that murderer feet; my heart broke. He wasn't the nicest pony and was dislike, No, he was hated by everyone who knew him. Of course I knew about his attitude towards others and I tried many times to get him to change his ways. I practically raised Blueblood since he was little, I thought him everything he needed know to be a proper prince. I never pressured him, and properly guided him down the right path, but somewhere along the way he grew bitter, selfish, and cruel. I don't know where I went wrong with him, more than once I tried to talk to him, wanting to know why he the way he is, but our conversations never went anywhere. But I never gave up on him. I always hope that one day he will learn the error of his ways. I prayed that the once kind hearted nephew I once knew when he was child would return someday.
But any hope of that was shattered the second The Prisoner took his life.
Blueblood may have been a hated pony, but he was still family. Despite the way he was, I still loved him and now he's gone, his second chance to change his ways stolen from him and it's all because I let that "MONSTER" into my home.
Anger couldn't even begin to explain how I feel right now as I wait for my guards to bring that "BASTARD" before me. The reason I call for this meeting was because I want to know why he did it. The prisoner have been interrogated multiple times since his arrest but they all ended the same, with him telling the same story and never telling the guards the real reason he killed Blueblood. This isn't even the first time he was broght before me. Once a week since his arrest he would be brought to the throne the room, where I would ask him the same questions; why did you do it? How could you do it? It wasn’t right, even for him. But he would never give me a clear answer. I grew more and more impatient with each attempt to get answers from him.
I will not be denied the answers I seek, oh so help me Faust, I don't know what I do.
~~~
The door to the throne room open and The Captain of the Royal guard, Shining Armor step inside. Bowing and then stood to attention before addressing me.
"Your Highness, I have brought the prisoner!"
"Bring him in Captain!"
Shining Armor bow once more before stepping out of the throne room. Not long after he did, the large double doors open and soon The prisoner step inside, walking up to stand before me.
I remain stoic and showed no expression, but the rage inside me grew the second I saw him enter the room. The memories of our time together once again filled my mind. The talks we had, the laugh we shared, we may of knew each other for a short while but I still consider him a friend and someone I could trust. "What a fool I was!" I put too much trust into a stranger and my nephew paid the price. But despite the prisoner actions and refusal to talk, I can clearly see he is obviously hiding something, that and I wondered how he was able to kill Blueblood in the first place. Their is no way he could of succeed in beating him in a fight let alone killing him. I plan to get the answer to these questions no matter what.
When the prisoner got close enough I notice his wounds and bruises. It's obvious he took a beating from the guards before he was brought here but I chose to ignore it...for now.
He stood a few meters from the steps leading up to my throne, standing their battered, bruised, and motionless. He doesn't even bother to look me in the eye as if he was ashame to, but I know he have no shame at all.
“I still dream of him, you know.” Celestia said in an icy tone. “But every time I wake up I’m reminded of the being who took him from me. I knew he was troubled, we all did, but for you to do such a terrible thing? How could I have not done something to prevent the one who took him away?” He doesn't respond to me so I continued. “You stand before me, beaten, bloody, and bruised, yet I feel no more sympathy for you as the day you first came to this world. I never try to have these thoughts, but sometimes I wish you had drowned and not appeared here in this world. Perhaps then he would still be here and you would be dead.”
I don't truly mean what I just said and it hurts to say it, but my anger towards him just grew as I glared down at this piece of shit.
“You continue to not speak, but what if I were to make you?” Celestia wonders. “If you do not give me the answer I desire, I shall have you thrown back in your cell without food or water until further notice. That way, you can waste away properly like the filth you are.”
Celesita stands from her throne and calmly walks down the small staircase and towards The prisoner. She stops just a few feet away and uses her magic to forcefully make him look up to her. Her eyes, those beautiful magenta eyes, filled with nothing but hate and sadness, stared back at him.
“To think, I wanted to be your friend and you mine. What a disgusting thought to be friends with a creature like you. Now answer me this, human, why…why did you do it?”
“…Regret.”
“Excuse me?”
“…Regret, forgiveness, redemption, closure, answers, truth, lies, revenge, justice.” I list off. “That’s what we humans go through when caught in a situation like this. Regret, to be sorry about and mourn. Forgiveness, to pardon one’s actions. Redemption, to save one from sin. Closure, finding peace for one’s soul. Answers, what we all want in life. Lies, what we do on a daily basis. Revenge, the practical justice. Justice, the fake peace-of-mind. You ask me why I did what I did because you think that it’ll give you closure as to why it happened, despite your newfound hatred for me. My fate was sealed that night when I was caught. I’m now paying for my crime, probably for the rest of my life as long as I remain in this world. You want to know why I did it? Well too bad, I’ll take my reasoning to the grave. You want justice? Then let me rot in that cell where I’ll continue to be beaten to a pulp every day. Even if you did force the truth out of me, I doubt you’d understand anyway. But I will tell you one thing about my crime, Princess Celestia.”
“And what is that?”
“That I have no regrets whatsoever. That if I were to go back and do things differently, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Because that’s my justice and my closure that I and I alone am satisfied with. No amount of torture, abuse, neglect, or any form of punishment you may try and inflict on me will ever get me to regret my actions or even bother to seek forgiveness when there’s none to spare.”
He took a step forward to look me deeper in the eyes.
“I killed your nephew, and I’m damn proud of it.”
Silence....
The tension in the room was so thick you could literally cut it. All the guards expected to see Celestia burn the prisoner alive on the spot, but she was holding herself back.
“I killed your nephew, and I’m damn proud of it.” Those words, and the fact that he spit them into my face only filled me with even greater rage than I ever felt before. I wanted to hurt him badly. I thought about throwing him through the window, the throne room is pretty high up but not high enough that the fall will kill, a broken limb or two would no doubt be the worst of it. As much as I wanted to and I soo wanted to, I held myself back, it wasn't easy but I did it.
When I was training to be a princess, one of the things I was thought was to never let my feelings cloud my judgement or I could make mistakes would regret. Luna banishment was one of those mistakes.
Once I calm myself just enough to think clearly, I turned to two of my guards standing off to the side and spoke.
"YOU TWO!" Bellow Celestia catching the guards attention.
"Yes your highness."
Celestia turned her attention back to the prisoner, her glare filled with nothing but hate as she stared him down.
"Take this piece of SHIT out of my sight." Celestia glared harder as she spoke through gritted teeth. "Before I do something I might regret."
"As you wish your highness." The two guards walk up to the prisoner and quickly escorted him out of the throne room and back to his cell in the dungeons.
After the doors closed Celestia sat back down in her throne, using Cadances breathing technique to try and calm herself. It help a little, and she was able to think more clearly and focus her mind on another problem.
"Shining Armor!" Celestia called out. "Step forward please, their something we need to discuss."
The Royal Captain walk up to the throne until he was standing directly in front of the small set steps. He gave the Princess a quick bow before speaking.
"Yes your highness?"
"Tell me Captain, why did the prisoner look like he got into fist fight with a train?" Celestia asked in stern tone.
Shining Armor was a bit afraid to answer her question but held himself up and spoke.
"Forgive my lack of oversight Princess. Two guards under my command, decided to depense thier own brand of justice by beating him without mercy before I caught them in the act when I went to retrieve the prisoner." Shining Armor gave an apologetic bow. "I'm sorry I didn't see this coming sooner your highness."
Celestia sigh, with a hand on her forehead, slowly shaking her head in disappointment. "I do not blame you Captain." Celestia brought her hand down to lay on her arm rest. "Theirs no way you could of known. Their actions towards the prisoner is unexcusable, I may hate him with ever fiber of my being, but I do not condone such acts to be committed." Celestia gave Shining a serious look. "I expect these guards to be punish for their actions, Captain, and make sure the other guards know that any violence towards the prisoner will also be met with severe punishment."
"Yes your Highness, I will spread the word as soon as possible....Is their anything else your highness?"
"Yes! Make sure a doctor patch up his wounds and make sure that he continues to get his three square meals a day also."
Shining Armor raised an eyebrow, confused at the sun princess last order. "You still wish to feed him, your majesty...b-but earlier you said-"
"I know what I said." Celestia interrupted. "I was only trying to scare him, in order to get him to talk, but that obviously failed. I have no intention to starve him, or hurt him, just keeping him lock up for years on in for his crimes is enough." Celestia begins to speak in a more serious tone. "I will not stoop so low that I would torture this man for what he has done. Now don't get me wrong I'm still filled with nothing but rage for that murderer, but I will not let my anger take control of me, no good ever comes from that, plus it go against the very nature of who I am and make me look like a monster." Celestia took another deep breath to calm herself. "If you don't have anymore questions, Captain that would be all."
Shining Armor bowed once more and proceeded to leave the throne room. After he left Celestia continued to sit in her throne. She had no other royal duties left todo, having finished all of it before talking with the prisoner again. So she just decided sit there all alone in her throne room as she reminiscent on past events leading up to this.
She remembered the days she spent with the human; short as they were, you couldn't tell if a guy like him would ever hurt a fly let alone murder someone. So why did he kill Blueblood, was it purely out of spite, no, that doesn't make any sense. They just met for the first time that night; Celestia sure of it. She could understand Blueblood giving him a hard time like he does everypony else. But you don't see Rarity slitting his throat when she first met him at the grand galloping gala a few months back.
Something is definitely isn't right here and it's clear he's hiding something, the only question is "what?" As Celestia tries to figure out this riddle plagueing her mind, she barely notice the main doors opening and the white unicorn mare approaching till she was standing right before.
"Raven!" Celestia said; surprised and happy to see her secretary and friend. "Its good to see you!" Celestia paused for a moment. "Is their anything else in need of my attention?"
Raven Inkwell smiled while adjusting her glasses. "No ma'am, all today's official duties have been met. I'm just here to see how your holding up?" Raven ask with both sincerely and worry on her voice.
Celestia gave a small smile at Raven cocerns for her. "Thank you, Raven. I'm doing my best to hold myself together." Celestia smile slowly fades. "But my last encounter with the prisoner, almost made me snap."
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened?"
"He spat in my face saying he's proud for killing Blueblood!"
"Did he ever said why he killed him?"
Celestia shook her head. "No, he still won't answer my question. I know he's hiding something, but he refuses too talk." Celestia sigh. "We're not getting any where with just asking him. If he won't talk willingly, then he leaves me no choice but to used the truth spell on him."
Raven gasped.
The truth spell can get anyone to spill beans once their under its influence. Though you can try and resist the spell forcing you to speak the truth, it will cause immense pain if you do. Celestia only orders the spell to be used when its absolutely necessary; never abusing it, and only herself, Luna, and those she can trust knows of it, and the only one, besides the princesses, that can perform the spell is Shining Armor. Who was taught by Celestia herself on how to do it. The spell does not exist in any book, only in the minds of those who know how to perform it and is kept secret from the public for obvious reasons.
Raven calm herself from her shock before speaking. "I understand, It's the only way we'll ever get the truth out him." Raven paused. "When will you perform the spell?"
"I'll give it another week before I ask The Captain to do it. Right now I'm giving the prisoner time to heal from his wounds that two of my guards inflicted on him."
Raven widen in surprise. She was shock to hear that the princess would show mercy to the one who murdered her nephew.
"You truly are as benevolent as they say your highness, showing such mercy, to a murderer no less!"
Celestia let out deep sigh as she frown at her secretary words. "I'm not perfect Raven, I to have my flaws and make mistakes like anypony else. I am showing mercy yes, but I'm still filled with nothing but pure hatred and rage towards the prisoner and not just because he murdered Blueblood, but because I let him stay in my home, because I wanted to help him, be friend him. I trusted him and he betrayed that trust by showing his true colors, and I don't know WHY?"
Celestia was panting hard after her rant. The anger and sadness clearly showed on her face. Raven stood their frozen, she didn't know what to do in this situation. She wants to help Celestia she really did, but how?
Raven watch as the anger in Celestia eyes faded, letting her sadness take over completely. Tears began well up in her eyes and leak down her face as she covered her eyes one hand while openly crying once again for the lost of her nephew.
"W-Why?" Celestia croak. "Why did he kill him? Why won't he just tell me his reason? Why does I feel he suddenly hates me now? Why? Why? WHY?" Celestia emphasize each "Why" by banging her fist on her arm rest, as more tears streak down her face.
The sight of The Princess crying before her broke The young Secretary heart. She could only imagine what Celestia is feeling, having lost a family member. Even if he was cruel jerk that everypony hates, He was still family and Celestia loved her family.
A thought ran through Raven head. It might not heal Celestia wounds instantly but it is a start at least. Raven slowly ascended small steps to Celestia throne. Taking a page from Twilight book; once she was in distance Raven lean forward and hug the The sun princess stroking her back trying to calm the crying alicorn.
Celestia accepted Ravens hug as she cried into her shoulder, hugging her back. She was so happy to have good friends like Raven and a friend was definitely something she needed right now.
Minutes pass with Celestia sobbing being the only sound that was heard in the throne room. Raven gave the princess all the time she needed to just let out all her frustrations, just happy to give the matriarch somepony to lean on. After a couple more minutes passed. Celestia broke the hug and dried her tears with a tissue she materialise out of thin air before deposing it with her magic.
Her job complete. Raven back up carefully down the steps to stand in her orignal spot in front of the princess.
"Thank you Raven, I needed that." Celestia said with a smile.
"It's no problem Celestia, I'm just happy I could help in someway."
Celestia stood up from her throne. "You me more then you know. I really needed a friend right now during these trouble times and you provided just that."
Raven blush at the praise. "I'm always here when you need me Celestia."
Celestia nodded. "Would you like to join me for some tea? I could use some relaxation to keep my mind off things for awhile."
"I would love too!"
Raven and Celestia left the throne room and headed straight for Royal tea room. They chatted and laugh on the walk there. Celestia putting the troubles of todays events behind her for now, as she just want to enjoy a quiet evening with her long time friend.
The Stupidity of The Crimes of the Condemned and those who followed.
TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW NOW!!!!!!!
Celestia sat at her desk in her study, finishing up her paperwork for the day. She just signed the last of the documents when she heard a knock on the door.Ahh perfect timing. Celestia push aside the finish paperwork to give herself a clear space on her desk. She straighten herself up; making sure she look regal and poper before calling out to her visitor.
"You may enter!"
The door open revealing Shining Armor, who calmly step inside and closed the door behind him. He walk up to the desk standing a good few feet in front of it. Shining bow to his princess before standing to attention.
"You have summon me your highness?"
Celestia nodded. "Yes Captain, I have a job for you regarding the prisoner."
"What are your orders, Princess?"
"I want you to interrogate, the prisoner and extract information from him and report back to me your findings on what's he hiding."
Shining Armor stood there confused at the request. "Pardon me saying, Princess, but we interrogated the prisoner multiple times in the past month since his arrest and everytime he tells us the same story and nothing else.....What would make this interrogation be any different?"
Celestia smiled deviously at Shining question as she mentally prepared to answer him. "Its been a week since I last spoke with the prisoner in the throne room, and after that my patients has finally reach its limits. Celestia stood up from her chair and stood in front of the large window behind her desk, her back facing Shining Armor as she look out at the view of Canterlot. Celestia took a moment to take in the view before speaking. "That is why,Captain, I am giving you permission to use the truth spell on him." Celestia turned face Shining Armor. "Its clear enough that he's hiding something and I want to know what it is." Celestia sat back in her chair and gave Shining a stern look showing him just how serious she was about this. "If he not willing to tell us what he knows then we will simply force him too. Theirs something weird about all this and i'm tired of playing the waiting game. I want answers and I want them. NOW!" (BANG) Celestia slam her hand on the desk to emphasize her point.
Shining stood unphased by Celestia rant. He simply bow and saluted. "I understand your highness, I will have the pisoner escorted to the interrogation room immediately and report back to you any new findings."
Celestia let out a deep sigh to calm herself. "See that you do Captain. I still have a couple other things todo that need my attention, it shouldn't take me long to complete them, and when I do, I will meet you outside the interrogation room."
"As you wish your highness." Shining Armor bow and then headed for the door. Upon opening it he was startled by Raven Inkwell who had fist up to knock on the door before it open.
"Oh. um. Sorry Captain Armor." Raven said shyly.
Shining smiled as he step aside opening the door all the way for Raven to sep through. "Its quite alright ms. Inkwell." Once Raven was inside the room shining walk out closing the door behind him and left to do the task Celestia has given him.
Raven bow. "Good evening Princess." She said with a smile.
"Good evening to you too Raven. You come for the documents I presume."
"Yes ma'am and to let you know about your other two duties as well."
Celestia sighed, she really wanted to be there when Shining interrogates the prisoner but her royal duties are just too important. "What's left on the agenda today?"
Raven adjusted her glasses as she stared at her clip board. "Nothing to difficult or time consuming. You just need to talk with the royal gardners about how you want the gardens done, and speak with the vice-principal about of CSGU about the school budget."
Those are easy tasks that won't take long at all. Celestia will be able to make it to the interrogation room sooner than expected. Celestia stood up pick up her signed documents in her magic and walked over to raven who took the documents in her own magic.
"Thank you Princess, I'll make sure to get these filed properly."
Celestia chuckled. "I know you will my friend. Come now lets get started on these tasks, I have an appointment with the captain later."
Raven simply nodded and followed Celestia out of the study. She remembered what the princess said last week about using the truth spell on the prisoner, and decided not to ask about it. After leaving the room they both split off to go and complete their tasks set for them.
As expected it didn't take Celestia long too complete her duties, getting things done in a little over an hour. With nothing else on her plate she headed straight to the Dungeons interrogation rooms that were located just a few floors above the dungeon cells. Upon entering the area that house one of the of the rooms. Shining Armor just step out of the interrogation room and closed the door behind him. Celestia smiled at her luck, it seems Shining just finished talking with the prisoner and now she will finally get her answers.
"Captain Armor."
Shining was startled by the sudden voice calling his name but steel himself when he noticed princess Celestia walking up to him. "Your highness, I didn't expect you too arrive so soon."
"Understandable. The last of my duties were simple to take of. But enough about that, Tell me everything you learned from the prisoner."
Shining Armor let out a sad sigh. "I'm sorry your highness but I'm afraid the truth spell didn't work."
Celestia stood there absolutely shock at what she just heard. "What do you mean it didn't work? She said through gritted teeth.
Fear began run up Shining spine but he did not show it. He stood as calm as a statue keeping his demeaner in check. "After I cast the spell, I asked him why he killed Blublood and still he refused to talk. At first I thought he was fighting to stay quiet, but he clearly showed no signs of the spell causing him pain for not speaking." Shining lowerd his head. " I believe he is somehow immune to the spell effects; making this yet another failed session."
When Shining look back up at Celestia the fear he felt earlier hit him full force. The Sun Princess was absolutely furious her rage only growing more and more by the second.
How can this be?, how is it even possible? Could have something to do with him not being from this world? Arrrrgh! No! No! No! I will not be denied the truth if magic can't get him to talk then I will have to try other means.
"Fuck it, I'll take care of this myself."
"But I already used the spell your highness and it didn't work."
"I understand that clearly Captain, but I have a different method in making that bastard talk." Celestia tightly clenches her fists.
“I don’t think that’s necessary. He’s guilty of the crime, what more could we want from him?”
“He may have murdered my nephew, but he never said why. I want to know what else he’s obviously hiding, even if I have to beat it out of him.”
“But your majesty-”
“Move Captain, that’s an order.”
I'm through playing games. I will get the answers I seek one way or another. Once the Captain step aside I walk up to the door and opened it and their he was sitting at the other side of the table in front of me both hands still cuff. He look surprised to see me maybe even afraid. Good I hope he's scared cause if he's not I will give him something to fear. I step inside and slowly closed the door behind me and sealed it shut with my magic, I also darken the the two way Windows so nopony can see inside. After making sure we won't be interrupted I sat down in the chair in front of him and folded my hands on the table and I glared angrily at him. We sat there in silence for what felt like hours staring at each other till I broke the silence.
"So." I said dejectively. "It seems you're immune to the truth spell."
"Yeah. Seeems that way."
"hmm. Don't think that just because the spell failed, that I'm just gonna give up on making you talk."
Prisoner sighed. "I figured as much. Look, how many times do I have to tell you before you finally understand you DUMB BITCH. I killed your nephew because he was FUCKING ASSHOLE!"
Celestia slam her hands on the table as she stood up knocking her chair over in process and glared at the prisoner with extreme anger.
"DON'T GIVE ME THAT YOU LITTLE SHIT! I have been patient, more patient than I care to admit and you are a fool if you think you can trick me into believing you killed my nephew simply out of SPITE.”
"Well believe what you want to believe. I have nothing else to say, shit for brains."
"THAT'S IT!" Celestia grab the side of the table and threw it to the side of the room. With nothing between the two Celestia stomp up to the prisoner, grab him by his shirt with one hand, lifted him up and pin his back against the wall. "You listen here and you listen good. I've had enough of your games. I know your hiding something and you WILL tell me what it is or else."
"Or else what?"
"Until you give me a proper answer; I will beat you down until you are a broken, bloody, unconscious mess on the floor."
"Fuck...you!"
BANG!!!!
The prisoner flinch at the loud sound. He slowly turned his head slightly too his right to see Celestia arm right next to him; only inches away from his head. He didn't even see the attack coming; it was so fast. Celestia had punch a fist size hole into the wall with ease a small demonstration on just how strong she is.
Celestia pulled her hand from the wall with little to no difficulty. The prisoner turned to face the angry princess staring deep into her fiery hate filled eyes.
"One. Last. Chance." Celestia said through gritted teeth. "If you want to leave here with your bones intact, you will stop screwing with me and tell me the FUCKING TRUTH!!!!!!!
There was a moment of silence until it was broken by the letting out a deep breath.
"The truth. O.K. The truth is, that you are the one of the worst ponies who ever lived." Celestia blood began to boil as her anger grew while listening to the prisoner rant. "You're lazy and don't do anything when Equestria is in danger, instead you send 6 inexperience mares out to defend this country when its your job to do so." Celestia gets angrier. "All you care about is having everypony worship you and making that ass of yours bigger from eating all that cake." Celestia is reaching her boiling point. "And its because of that is why Luna became Nightmare Moon in the first place, flat out ignoring her concerns without a care in the world. I'm willing to bet you were glad you banish her to the moon afterall you have a holiday dedicated to her defeat." Celestia clenches her fist. "You're the worst princess ever Celestia and you always will be. But your an even worst sister."
"AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH" Celestia snap.
Shining Armor been patiently standing outside the interrogation room ever since Princess Celestia went inside alone. He was worried about the prisoner and what Celestia might do to him since he's willing too keep the truth from her no matter the cost.
Shining was still shocked after learning about what really happened that night Blueblood was killed. The prisoner told him everything; on the grounds that they spoke in private and that Shining promise not to tell anyone, including Celestia. Shining agreed to his terms and sent the two guards he came with away to guard the dungeon main entrance. After which he cast a silent spell over the room and listen to what the prisoner had to say.
He learned that it was Princess Luna who killed Blueblood by accident when she tried to save the prisoner life and that the prisoner took the blame to protect Luna from Celestia wrath. Shining also learned that Blueblood was apart of an organization called 'The Purest' and that they plan to overthrow The Royal Sisters, turn them into sex slave brood mares, murder all earth pony and pegasi, and Blueblood would absorb all the magic from both the princesses and the elements of harmony into himself; transforming into an Alicorn and rule as King.
After hearing all that Shining decided to help the prisoner by proving his innocence by seeing if he could find any evidence that wasn't destroyed that could prove Blueblood crimes. But the prisoner really doesn't want the truth that Luna killed Blueblood to get out; still wanting to take the blame for his death to protect her reputation. Despite his disagreement Shining once again agreed with his terms. It won't be easy finding the evidence Shining needed on account of Blueblood being a crafty snake, but The Captain will try.
"CRASH!!!!"
Shining was snap out of his thoughts when he heard a loud crash coming from the interrogation room. Celestia didn't cast a Silence spell over the room, so he could hear it very clearly. But she did darken the two way window, so he couldn't see what was going on inside.
He could hear them yelling at each other in a heated conversation and loud bang noise as well. What in tartarus is going on in there? Shining thought. Growing more worried each passing second until-
"AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!"
*CRASH*
*BOOM*
*CRASH*
"Oh no! no! no! no! no! no!" Shining Armor panicked as he rush to the door and tried to open it but the door wouldn't budge, sealed tight by Celestia magic. Even so Shining continued to try as he started ramming into the door shoulder first, over and over again in a attempt to knock the door down.
*BOOM*
"TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW NOW! YOU LITTLE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"FUCK YOU! YOU CRAZY BITCH!!!!!"
*CRASH,CRASH,BOOM,BANG,CRASH*
It sounded like a war in there and it's a war Shining knew the prisoner stood no chance at winning.
Shining continued to try getting the door open by using both his strength and his magic. But both proved useless. But he didn't give up he had to keep trying, he needed to stop Celestia before she ended up killing the prisoner in a fury of blind rage.
All the noise and commotion drew the attention of the two earth pony guards, Shining sent away earlier. 'Iron Shield, and Stone fort.' They quickly rush down the stairs and into the interrogation area where they saw their Captain trying break down the door to interrogation room.
"Captain what's going on? Asked Iron Shield.
"HELP ME GET THIS DOOR OPEN!!!" Ordered Shining.
The two guards didn't hesitate as they quickly rush in to aid their Captain. The three of them work together with their combined strength ramming their shoulders against the door in order to knock it down.
"What the hell is happening in there? Is that murderer attacking the Princess? Asked Stone fort.
"No! The princess is attacking the prisoner and we need to stop her before she kills him!" Answerd Shining.
"Oh shit! That's not good." Iron Shield with worry in his voice. "I hate the guy but I don't want him dead."
"Nor can we let Celestia become a murderer herself." said Stone fort.
The noises in the room continued as the three guards tried everything they can to break the door down, they even tried breaking the windows but they were reinforced by Celestia magic as well. It all seemed hopeless their was just no way they can get in but shining was still determined. So he took few steps back away from the door and charge up his horn getting ready to fire a powerful blast.
"Out of the way guys, I'm blowing that door down!"
"Captain are you INSANE!" Yelled Iron.
"Yeah what if you hurt the princess somehow?" Questioned Stone.
"Don't worry I know what I'm doing. I hope."
After finishing powering his attack, Shining was just about to fire but stop himself the second he noticed that the noise in the room had stop. Shining powered down his attack, listening for any sign that the prisoner was still alive.
"You don't think she killed him?" Asked Fort.
"I sure hope not." Answerd Shining.
"Should we try-" *SLAM* Iron Shield was interrupted to the sound of interrogation room door being slam open and there standing in the door way was Princess Celestia.
The princess did not look her best. Her mane was mess, she was panting so heavily; like she just ran a marathon and her eyes were still filled with rage.
The guards quickly stood attention, though it was hard keeping their composer under Celestia piercing gaze.
"Your Highness is everything alright?" Asked Shining armor. Afraid of what the princess will say.
Celestial let out a deep sigh, but it did little to calm her anger. "Throw the prisoner back into his cell, NOW!"
Celestia walk by the guards heading towards the exit but was stop when Stone Fort spoke. "Shouldn't we take him to the medical wing-"
"I SAID THROW HIM BACK IN HIS CELL, THATS AN ORDER."
"Y-y-yes ma'am." Stone fort said nervously.
Celestia turned to leave and left up the stairs and exited the dungeon.
Once she was gone Shining and his fellow guards slowly entered the interrogation room expecting the worst. What they found was a completely destroyed room. The table broke in half, the chairs were torn apart, their were multiple fist size holes on the walls along with burnt marks as well. The only thing that didn't take any damage and was completely unharmed was the prisoner himself who just sat there on the floor with his back to the wall.
Shining and his fellow guards were shock to see that the prisoner was ok. They expected to find him broken and beaten but from the look of things only the room it self took all the punishment.
"I can't believe it, she didn't even touch him." Said Iron.
The Prisoner chuckled. "Technically she did lift me up by my shirt and pin me against the wall here." He gestured to the wall behind him. "Other than tha, ehh."
Shining let out a calming before turning to face Iron and Stone. "You two take the prisoner back to his cell. I need to go talk with the Princess."
The two guards saluted. "Yes sir!"
Shining left the room and headed for the exit, as Stone and Iron escorted the prisoner back to his cell.
After leaving the dungeon Shining began his search for Celestia. During his walk through halls he thought about all that transpierd today. From learning the truth, to Celestia rampage. The Captain knew he got a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to prove Bluebloods evil plans and he can't just let Celestia continue on like this. She may of held back from hurting the prisoner again, but next time they might not be so lucky. So for both The Princess and The Prisoner sake Shining came up with a plan to protect them both.
Celestia Study
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE DECLARING P.O.I. "(Pony Of Interest)" FOR THAT PIECE OF SHIT."
"As I mentioned earlier your Highness, Your behavior earlier towards the prisoner was where I draw line, I really thought you were killing him in there or at least beating him near an inch of his life."
"But I didn't hurt him at all, you clearly saw that he was unharmed, I was just trying to scare him into talking."
"Maybe so. The attack was fake but your rage wasn't. How do I know you won't lose it for real and start torturing the prisoner to get him to talk?"
Celestia had no retort to that.
"So that is why I'm declaring him P.O.I and as long as he is nopony not even royalty can visit him without my say so. Its best this way for his protection and yours."
Celestia was angry at this, she didn't like Shining plan one bit cause it means she can never see the prisoner again without the Captain approval, but at the sametime she knew he was right. She really did almost fully lost it back there and if she did ever see the prisoner again her anger and hate might take full control and she might end up actually hurting him for real and she doesn't want that to happen.
Celestia let out a deep sigh to calm herself before speaking. "Very well Captain. I trust your decision, go and do what you need to make the P.O.I official."
Shining Armor smiled at Celestia for agreeing with him then bow to her. "Thank you Princess, I will get started on the preparations immediately." Shining turned and headed for the door. When he grab the knob to open the door he was stop when Celestia called out to him.
"And Shining."
"Yes Princess."
Celestia smiled. "Thank you, for looking out for me as well as the prisoner. I still hate that bastard but I do not wish to give in to my hatred and hurt him, so again Thank you; and I'm glad that I can trust somepony like you to do the right thing even if it means standing up to your rulers." Celestia smirk. "I would be proud to call you my nephew-in-law someday."
Shining blush at that. "N-No problem Princess. I'm always there when you need me." Shining gave one last bow before finally exiting the room. Leaving Celestia alone with her thoughts.
Hmmm with nothing else important to do maybe I'll go find Luna and asked her out for some tea before we start to lower and raise the Sun and Moon. With that thought in mind Celestia teleported out of her study.
Little did Celestia and Shining know that during their conversation somepony was outside the study door evesdropping on them. After hearing enough of conversation they needed to hear the mysterious pony left long before Shining open the door.
