The USS Alabaster, the US's first inter-system colony ship, uses a prototype Matter/Antimatter annihilation reactor to power the 4.6 million-ton craft to LV-426, where the four thousand colonists and hundreds of construction workers, miners and engineers, will make a new home for themselves. The sponsor: Weyland Yutani, took only volunteers for the mission, volunteers that did so only because of their patriotism, with over two-thirds of the ship was taken up by cargo and the command module was simply a tug that was welded on with the compatibility to use the new engine.
