Sometimes, to keep writing, one must write in-between projects.
When you find yourself sick of a work, unable to go without the intense force of will, maybe, it's best to take a step back. Not to necessarily quit the page—but find another one.
This story began while I was getting bored and being forced to go on in the middle of another story. That is certainly no way to have fun. What I opted to do instead was, in taking a break from that story: to come to this one.
It's nothing deep or profound. Some instances of decent passages without much more. But writing it did allow the mind to fill for the story before it.
It's a way of taking a break without taking a break.
Sometimes you get great in-between stories.
And other times you get ones that are decent enough.
But every time, they help the mind, and that's all that is needed.
