//Celestial Trance.

Princess Celestia groaned as she made her way to her hooves, after dealing with her younger sisters’ oddly loud ruckus the night before her head was in a great deal of pain. She wanted to stop and ask Luna what she had been doing but realized she was already several minutes late for her royal task of raising the sun and flew off with great speed. Her gorgeous mane shimmering in the light she concentrated her magic and her horn began to glow, having performed this task every day for the past thousand years or so Celestia was accustomed to the strain on her that this required. But something was different today, as she forced the sun into its location fully above the horizon she felt a surge of pain course through her body and let out a loud scream. Her horn shot sparks in every direction as her entire body became engulfed in a magical aura, she couldn’t control herself, her concentration had broken and her magic was going haywire, she had to act fast or risk something terrible happening. She mustered what concentration she could through the pain in her forehead and used every ounce of it to force back her incredible magical powers. As the magical glow around Celestia faded so did her grasp on consciousness as she plummeted towards the ground below.
For the second time the Princess awoke, her head feeling perfectly fine, and she was able to stand rather easily. She pulled herself from the pile of hay she had landed on just outside of Ponyville and took a few uneasy steps, trying to get a grasp on where she was. The farm was unfamiliar, but, so was much of Equestria to the royal mare, having been stuck performing royal tasks for so many years she rarely had time to explore her surroundings, and when she did venture outside of Canterlot, it was only for an unbearably short period of time to meet some important pony or attend some sort of ceremony. She let out a sigh as she realized this fact and trotted around, enjoying herself. The rare chance for the princess to be alone was one she had hoped for, for quite a long time; always having guards, or escorts everywhere she visited, meant she could only be alone at night when she was asleep. She never had time to do what she wanted. The thoughts crept into her head and she looked up at the sky, the sun was exactly where she had left it, and from where she was standing that meant she deserved some time off. She took rest on a soft bed of hay she pushed together with her hooves and basked in the suns warmth. After not too long she realized that no matter how much she enjoyed this, it couldn’t last.
She stood and readied herself to fly home. She stretched her wings to take off but as she did a terrible pain stabbed at her left side. Her wing was broken from the fall and basically useless in its current condition. She began to panic the combination of pain and hysteria drew the attention of an extremely light purple earth pony who couldn’t help but notice the radiant princess from afar.
“Are you alright Princess?” The mare approached slowly, her dark blue mane bouncing gently as she trotted closer, making sure not to overstep her bounds as a commoner. “Anything I can help with?” She asked, cocking her head slightly, her large golden eyes scanning over princess Celestia who was trying, quite obviously, to hide her pain.
“No, no, I’m quite alright, I seem to have injured my wing, but I’m sure I will be fine soon,” Celestia replied.
“I’m not so sure princess, you’re wing is all, bent out of shape,” The mare said leaning to one side to get a better look at the injured wing, her straight, medium length mane getting in her eye a little forcing her to flick it out of the way. Princess Celestia quickly tucked away her wings, wincing in pain for a brief moment as her left wing cracked before going into place at her side. The thought of her little ponies worrying about her didn’t sit well in her stomach and was willing to deal with a bit of pain in order to retain her stature.
“See, I’m fine,” Celestia stated reassuringly, complete with a half-smiling expression to make her ruse all the more convincing. The mare didn’t buy it; she trotted a quick circle around Celestia before nudging her flank sternly.
“Princess, please don’t think you have to pretend for my sake, if you’re hurt I promise I won’t tell anypony, but you should really have your wing looked at,” Celestia, only nodded, her lips moved as if she was going to form a rebuttal but realized the mare was right. “Come with me princess, we’ll go see nurse Redheart at the hospital, I’m sure she can fix it,” Princess Celestia stopped.
“That won’t do I’m afraid,” She replied in a sorrowful tone.
“Why not? Nurse Redheart is one of the best in Equestria,” The mare looked on as the princess stood there contemplating how to answer.
“I can’t let anypony see me like this, what would everypony think if they found out there ruler could be crippled by something as simple as a broken wing?” Celestia managed, sounding as though she was fighting back tears. “Everypony thinks that it’s easy being the ruler of Equestria, it isn’t and I really dislike it, I would trade it all away for some time to spend with friends, I haven’t had any real fun in years,” The princess couldn’t contain herself anymore, her eyes were welling up with tears and her normally soft voice was becoming increasingly ragged as she continued.
“It’s okay princess, I know what to do, let’s go talk to Twilight, okay?” Still fighting back tears the princess could only manage a nod as the young mare nudged her to continue forward.
Making sure to avoid the sight of anypony in Ponyville, Celestia and the mare found their way to the library, it was getting later in the day; the sun now casting long dark shadows, making it easier for the tall alicorn to sneak around. “Hey princess, I don’t really get it, if you raise the sun everyday, why don’t you have to keep moving it all day?” The princess was glad the topic was something she could easily explain that would take her mind off of the situation.
“Well you see my little pony, the sun is a powerful thing, though I force it into, and out of the sky everyday, it retains some of the energy from my magic, allowing it to drift slowly across the sky before finally needing one last push to put it back down again,” The young mare was amazed at just how easy the princess made her job sound, she had never dreamed that such an amazing task would be so easily explained; a smile crept onto her lips. She wanted to say something but couldn’t bring herself to as princess Celestia approached the door of the library. As she went to knock on the door to ask for help from her pupil, she stopped to thank the mare who had helped her get here without being seen. “Before I go, what is your name my little pony, I was so caught up I forgot to ask,” The princess asked, not wanting to be rude.
“Stellar Trance, I work in the observatory just outside of Ponyville,” She replied happily.
“I was unaware there was an observatory near here,” Celestia seemed surprised as she replied.
Just then the door opened and Twilight looked extremely happy to see the princess. “Princess, what are you doing here?” Twilight started, before realizing Celestia’s obviously pained expression. “Princess what happened, what’s wrong?” she stepped aside to let the princess in, Stellar Trance began to turn and walk away before being caught off guard by Celestia’s voice.
“Stellar Trance, do you wish to join us?” Stellar Trance couldn’t contain her excitement upon receiving an invitation from the princess and quickly trotted in behind the princess.
“Spike! Where are you?” Twilight shouted, beckoning her dragon assistant from wherever he was, most likely, napping. “Over here Twilight, what’s up?” Spike answered carrying a small pile of gems from around a corner. “Spike, this is no time to be playing around, something happened to princess Celestia,” with that Spike dropped his gems and dashed quickly towards the front door
“I’ll go get nurse Redheart,” Spike said opening the door. Celestia shook her head to Twilight who passed an inquisitive gaze at her teacher, wondering why she would not want Spike to go get help. Stellar Trance dashed to the door faster than Spike could take a step out and slammed it shut, startling spike.
“Hey what are you doing, we need to get help for the princess,” He snapped, put off by having the door slammed in his face by somepony he didn’t even know.
“This isn’t a normal matter, nopony can find out about this, if they did ponies would lose their faith in her, we need to keep this quiet,” She said, keeping a hoof on the door to prevent the tiny dragon from leaving.
“Oh, yeah that makes sense I guess.” Spike replied slowly walking back over to Twilight’s side.
“So princess, what happened?” Twilight asked, completely bewildered.
“During my daily task of raising the sun, something went…” Celestia paused, unsure of what happened herself. “Something went wrong; I lost control of my magic and blacked out, causing me to fall out of the sky,” She finished, sulking her head in embarrassment.
“Her left wing is broken; she can hardly open it without it hurting,” Stellar added, not wanting to have to make the princess say it herself.
“Spike, fetch me Magical Remedies for Physical Ailments,” She told Spike, eying the princess’s wing.
“On it Twilight.” The purple dragon said as he ran off towards the next room of the library.
Several moments later spike returned with a large tome in his claws, Twilight quickly lifted the book with her magic and opened it to the page on how to mend a broken wing. “Here it is,” She said quickly as she buried her nose in the book reading the page with great concentration. “Princess, I don’t think I can do this alone, I’ll need your help,” Twilight looked forlorn as she said this and slowly raised her head from the tome. “This spell is way harder than anything I can do alone, I don’t know why though, it seems like it should be rather simple,” Twilight added, still eyeing the page.
“Well Twilight, remember, it normally takes a few weeks to mend a broken wing without magic, it requires the same energy, just much faster,” Celestia noted and Twilight nodded in understanding.
“Okay princess, if you can concentrate some of your magic on the spell as well this should be an easy task,” Both Celestia and Twilight exchanged a quick nod of the head as both of their horns started to glow with a magical aura. As both of their horns got brighter and brighter the princess began to wince in pain, her headache from earlier in the morning was returning; and she was afraid she would lose control of her magic again, she relaxed some of the concentration on the spell and tried to make the pain subside, but it only got worse as the scene in front of her became blurry. Again a large magical outburst from the princesses horn caused her entire body to be covered in a bright magical aura, and, seeing this, Twilight tried to use her magic to make Celestia’s subside.
Celestia couldn’t take the pain anymore and let out a loud scream that filled the library, Stellar Trance and Spike could only look on in horror as the scene in front of them played out. Spike could no longer take the screams of the princess, he ran towards Twilight in an attempt to help if he could. As he got close however he tripped over the tome he had given Twilight just minutes ago and stumbled trying to catch himself, the tip of his claw struck Twilight’s horn, smashing her spell, unleashing Celestia’s magic entirely. The bright magical aura around Celestia quickly expanded and overtook the library, nearly blinding everyone inside.
“Spike, what did you do!” Twilight shouted, still unable to see and rather annoyed with the small dragon for breaking her concentration.
“I wanted to help,” Spike replied nervously.
“Well good job Spike, I have no idea what’s going to happen now!” She muttered darkly.
As the light from princess Celestia’s magic dimmed and the room was again visible Twilight shook her head to verify if what she was seeing was real. Princess Celestia stretched her wings and flapped lightly as she stood up. “Thank you Twilight Sparkle, I feel much better now,” She said graciously.
“Don’t thank me just yet princess,” Twilight replied as added still lightly flapping.
“Well you see princess, look,” Twilight said producing a mirror from the next room and placing it down in front of Celestia. Celestia gasped loudly as she saw her reflection as she noticed exactly why she felt so strange. “Apparently … whatever just happened made you my age or at least very close to it,” Twilight said, almost stifling laughter.
“How could this happen, oh, this is terrible, I can’t go back to Canterlot like this!” Celestia cried burying her face in her hooves.
“Don’t worry princess, I’m sure all we have to do is explain what happened and…”
“Who could we explain this to? If any of the royal guard found out… I don’t want to think about it,” Celestia said still sobbing between words.
“What about Princess Luna?” The quiet suggestion came from Stellar Trance, who was slowly trotting towards Celestia.
“That may be our only option, Twilight; can you and Spike take the train to Canterlot and get my sister? She should be resting in her bedroom as it’s not close enough to night time for her to be out and about yet,” Celestia said still visibly upset, but regaining some composure.
“Of course Princess, come on Spike, we have to hurry,” Twilight said using her magic to lift Spike and carry him out the doorway before shutting the doors behind her as she ran off towards the train station.
Princess Celestia and her new mare friend were now alone in the library with the day nowhere near over but nothing to do for the several hours that were to come before Twilight could possibly return with Luna. A very awkward air started to form rather quickly as the two sat in almost complete silence until Celestia finally spoke.
“Ahem, excuse me for a moment,” She said barely maintaining her composure as she stood and walked into the next room. She shut the door behind her quite quickly, the force from the slamming door rang in Stellar Trance’s ears, she couldn’t bear to see the princess that way, she wanted to do something to comfort her so badly, she walked into the next room as well, seeing the door that Celestia had most likely gone into she laid down near it, resting her head on her hooves. She immediately heard faint sobs coming from behind the door and her heart sank, her ears fell flat, she felt terrible, almost like it was her fault that the princess was in this situation, she knew deep down that there wasn’t any other option besides publicly humiliating the princess, but she couldn’t stop the depressing feeling that was very nearly bringing her to tears herself. The last words she ever heard from her drunk of a mother rang in her ears and stung like poison. “You’ll never do anything, you’ll never be anything, it’s your fault your father left; it’s all, your, fault!”
Stellar began to weep softly, all her life she had felt worthless, from the day her father walked out on her and her once happy mother, she never felt like anypony cared about her, she was a loner in the world who had worked her flank off for every bit she ever earned, and now she felt even worse. She had finally made something of herself; she had a good job doing what she loves, a few good friends she could trust entirely, she was happy for a long time, and now this. She had to be strong, for Celestia’s sake at least, even if it was only her strange way of comforting herself, Stellar convinced herself that Celestia was counting on her for support. She had only just met the most majestic pony in all of Equestria, and already she was crying in the bathroom of the Ponyville library, Stellar cleared her eyes of tears and steadied herself, lifting a hoof she knocked on the door. She heard a hoof hit the floor, and something spill over, the princess must have hit it in surprise. Celestia said nothing in response; she simply sat there wiping her eyes with her fore-leg, hoping that this whole ordeal would soon be over.
“Princess…” Stellar started. “I can’t imagine how you must be feeling… but…” She stopped getting choked up fighting back tears herself. “I know, some ponies say that, but I really mean it, I can’t imagine it, because I know how it feels,” Another pause, but this time Celestia’s interest had been piqued; she raised an eyebrow wondering what the mare could mean. “All my life I’ve felt…” She stopped as the word she was about to say stung her tongue. “Worthless, I was always told that I was, so I always believed it. But one day I had enough of being worthless and set out to be somepony important, I went to college, something my mother…” again she paused at the painful memory resurfacing. “Something she never thought I could do, and I became an astronomer, I always loved looking up at the sky, watching the clouds, and I felt it would be a good way to be closer to all of that, away from all of my problems here. What I’m trying to say is, you shouldn’t feel so bad about this, not because I, or anypony else have it worse, but because there’s always something out there that can make you feel better. The one memory I have of my father was watching the sunrise one morning, it was so beautiful, I think that was the moment I knew I would never be able to be happy being as worthless as my mother said I was,” Stellar was amazed she could keep herself from choking on the lump in her throat as she said all of that, tears were streaming down her face but none of that mattered to her, all that mattered was making Celestia happy, no matter how futile her own efforts may have felt.
“Celestia…” Stellar paused, realizing she had said Celestia without any form of title beforehand, she cast the thought aside. “I, all of my life, I never felt happy when I wasn’t looking towards the sky, the sky you light up for us every day, the sun that makes me feel like my life is worthwhile no matter how bad things may seem, there’s at least me that will always love you,” Only after she said this did Stellar catch herself, she said it, the thing she had thought but never said aloud. After her father was gone and her mother became an intoxicated ball of resentment Stellar had always relied on thoughts of Celestia being so adored by everypony, including herself, that even though she had never met her, she felt she loved her. She knew it was crazy and that saying you love somepony you hardly know is strange but that was how she felt, she couldn’t help it, and now she had said it, to the one she cared about so much. She tried to add something but was stopped by the sound of the door creaking open slowly.
Celestia pushed the door open and wiped a final tear from her eye, sniffling slightly before saying anything. “Stellar, you, I never knew…” She started but had to stop upon seeing Stellar’s face, the tears flowing down her face made Celestia realize that this isn’t how a leader should act. “Stellar, you’re right, I shouldn’t be behaving this way, I’m the ruler of Equestria…” She added but was cut off by Stellar.
“No! You’re not the ruler of Equestria, you’re a mare, just like anypony else, you have feelings too, I don’t want to see you sad, that’s not right, I know from experience how much it hurts to feel ashamed just to have somepony look at you. When you said you didn’t want anypony to see you with a broken wing I thought of how I felt growing up, I just wanted to disappear, I wanted to die, but I kept going, which is what I always loved about you, even though all of Equestria is full of ponies who do bad things you bring out your beautiful sun every morning for them, and in a little way, for me. You helped me so much without ever meeting me, and…” She paused, to reassure herself she wanted to say it again. “I love you for it, I love you, I really do, I hardly know you, and I’m sure you hear it all the time, but I mean it, without you I probably wouldn’t even be alive today,” The mare said frustrated at everything around her, she just wanted the moment to be over, she wanted to go back to the way things were that morning, simple, and easy, now all of her hopes and dreams were all out there in the hoof of another pony, something she feared more than anything. She sat down as tears began streaming down her face yet again, staining her coat all the way down her chin. Celestia was shocked, she had no idea that anypony really cared so much, her heart sank, now feeling bad herself for making somepony who cared so much about her feel bad.
“Stellar…” She started, smiling slightly. “I never knew anypony cared so much, I’m… I’m sorry,” She lowered her head, and held back her tears until she felt she could continue. “You may find it hard to believe but… I haven’t heard anypony say that, at least, not to me, in a very long time. For the thousand years Luna was on the moon, I felt imprisoned as well, I had nopony to comfort me, I was alone, everyday doing a task that made me feel more like a work horse than a ruler. I too, know what it’s like to be alone, it is very painful, something you can’t truly understand until you’ve experienced it for yourself. In all my years as ruler of Equestria, nopony has ever told me they loved me, thank you, knowing that somepony cares about you makes a world of difference,” Celestia tried to at least pretend to be happy, but it seemed as though her message fell upon deaf ears, she was trying to cheer the mare up, trying to tell her that she cared about her. But it seemed the young mare was too overcome with sadness to take the hint. Celestia sighed quietly as she took a step towards her. “Stellar, I care about you,” She leaned in and rested her head on the mares shoulder, nuzzling her to let her know she meant what she said.
“I’ve heard it all before,” Stellar said quietly. “Ponies say they care about you, but they don’t mean it, they just feel bad for you, they always leave eventually, or something more important comes up. Celestia, I believe you, but… no matter what happens I’ll love you, don’t worry about me, I can deal with it,” She said sadly, choking back tears, trying to make Celestia feel better was all that was on her mind, she had already given her the last bit of truth she was holding back from even her most trusted friends, she didn’t have anything else to look forward to, she just wanted Celestia to go on and be happy.
“I promise, with all of the authority I have in Equestria, that you won’t have to be alone anymore Stellar Trance,” Celestia said, nuzzling the mare gently, she couldn’t tell if it was because she felt bad, or if she was actually developing feelings for the mare, but Celestia truly wanted to stay with her. The warmth shared between the two, as well as their equally sad pasts made both of them feel comfortable for that moment until Celestia pulled her head away.
Stellar Trance had stopped crying but was still sulking and looked miserable, Celestia thought for only a moment before she decided what she would do. She quickly picked up her hoof and wiped it on her coat, before lifting it to Stellar’s chin and raising her head gently. The two stared into each other’s eyes for just a moment before Stellar spoke.
“Princess…” Her words were cut short as Celestia leaned in and kissed her, Stellar shook in response to the surprise before settling down and enjoying the moment. After no more than a few seconds, Celestia pulled away, leaving Stellar slightly confused and blushing an exuberant red color. Celestia giggled, and put her hoof behind the mare’s head drawing her in for another long kiss, this time allowing her tongue to explore Stellar’s mouth. Both mare’s chests were pounding as their hearts raced; their tongues hit each other allowing them to feel each other in a way that neither would have expected at the start of the day. Stellar leaned back and Celestia followed, positioning herself above Stellar as they continued to enjoy the passionate moment together. Several thoughts jumped into both of their heads, but none of them were as important as the feelings between the two mares at the moment, neither of them cared about anything else; they just wanted the moment to last forever.
Far sooner than Stellar wanted, Celestia pulled back again, leaving a strand of saliva between the two mare’s tongues, they said nothing, only stared at each other, inches away from each other they could feel each other breathing heavily, Celestia leaned back in and kissed Stellar’s neck, sending shocks of pleasure through her body, she ran her hoof through Celestia’s mane as she began kissing lower and lower on Stellar’s body, moving from her neck, to her chest, until her lips were just above Stellar’s clit. Celestia brought up her hoof and prodded her mare friend gently, allowing her hoof to become slippery with Stellar’s fluids. Stellar was dripping wet as Celestia began using her tongue to lick her gently, letting her tongue penetrate slightly into Stellar, causing her to gasp with pleasure every few seconds. The mare had never felt anything like it, Celestia’s tongue making long runs between her legs, her frequent squeaks making Celestia even more aroused than she already was.
As Celestia began pleasuring herself as well with her other hoof, she stuck her tongue deep into Stellar, allowing her to explore the hot, tight, inside of Stellar’s genitals, she savored the taste as she fervently licked around the inner walls of Stellar’s vagina, causing Stellar to pant and gasp from an overwhelming feeling of absolute pleasure she never knew existed. Stellar began to convulse as she fell into an intense orgasm, her already tight marehood squeezing Celestia’s tongue, sending a wave of pleasure through Celestia as well, both mare’s screamed in pleasure as they shared an orgasm. Celestia brought her hoof up, once again to Stellar’s dripping crotch and rubbed her vigorously for a few moments, before licking her hoof and sighing happily.
“Enjoying yourself?” Celestia asked to which Stellar only nodded in response. “Good, then you will really like this,” Celestia gestured for Stellar to follow her into the next room where they found a large, rarely used bed; Celestia motioned for Stellar to get onto the bed and smiled modestly.
“What are we gonna do on the bed?” Stellar asked as she lay down, still blushing. Celestia used her hooves to grab Stellar and pull her back to the edge of the bed, moving her tail out of the way with one of her hooves; she licked Stellar’s still dripping marehood before titling her head, positioning her horn on the edge of her lips. She prodded gently against her, making her flinch at first until she fully realized what was going on.
“This is something I have always wanted to try.” Celestia said forcing her, though much smaller due to her transformation, still rather large horn into Stellar’s vagina. Stellar fought back another orgasm trying to enjoy this pleasure for as long as possible, Celestia pulled her now soaking wet horn out of Stellar and licked her quickly several times before once again lowering her head to insert her horn, but this time as Celestia went to slide it in she heard a knock on the front door of the library making her jolt up in shock, her horn went up into Stellar’s ass; the unexpected penetration made Stellar orgasm violently, soaking Celestia’s face in her fluids.
“Ah guess she ain’t home gals,” Applejack’s distinctive voice rang from outside, accompanied by the sound of several pairs of receding hoof beats. Celestia quickly withdrew her horn; she climbed onto the bed, rolling Stellar onto her back quickly. Stellar lifted her head and licked the side of Celestia’s face before resting her head back down smiling brightly, Celestia leaned in and kissed Stellar, again allowing her tongue to enter her mouth, giving the mare a taste of herself, which she enjoyed more than words can describe. Stellar rolled back over and pushed Celestia on to her side, she slid her hoof into Celestia’s vagina, her tightness engulfing the mare’s hoof in soaking warmth, she forced her hoof in further, making Celestia pant rapidly. As Stellar began to move her hoof Celestia’s pleasure peaked, sending her into another blissful orgasm, Stellar withdrew her soaking hoof and began to lap up Celestia’s juices, she enjoyed the taste and savored every second of it, but she knew it couldn’t last.
As Celestia’s body came to rest from her immense orgasm both mare’s were exhausted from the pleasure they had both just experienced, they lay on the bed next to each other, gently kissing every few moments. They both knew that Twilight was probably already headed back from Canterlot with Princess Luna and that they didn’t have much time to remain this way. The pair got up from their pleasurable position and took their time getting cleaned up in Twilight’s bathroom, making sure to remove any traces of their sexual escapade, before long they were cleaned up and the bed looked good as new, the pair trotted back into the main room where they were sure Twilight would be in not too long. Celestia again nuzzled Stellar and whispered in her ear.
“I promised; how would you like to come to Canterlot to be my personal, royal Astronomer?” A large smile flashed onto Stellar’s face as she heard the single best sentence of her life, from the love of her life. She happily jumped up onto her hind legs and hugged Celestia, kissing her gently in the cheek before whispering a simple “Yes” into her ear.
After nearly an hour of waiting Twilight opened the front door and allowed Princess Luna inside to see her sister. Luna laughed and shook her head slightly at her sister.
“Oh sister, what will I do with you?” She said as her horn began to glow. A blinding flash once again filled the room, this time for a much shorter time. As the light faded everypony in the room could see Celestia, as majestic as ever, back in her normal form.
“Thank you princess Luna,” Twilight said nudging the mare with her head and winking at her.
“That is what family is for Twilight Sparkle,” Luna said half smiling. “Ready to depart sister?” Luna added, looking back at her sister.
“Of course sister,” Celestia replied, smiling at Luna and then Stellar. “Oh, I nearly forgot, Twilight, I hope you learned a valuable lesson about friendship today, I now I did,” Celestia said in her happiest possible tone. “Coming Stellar?” She said looking back to see her smiling and happily trotting along next to her.
“Of course Celestia,” She replied, nuzzling Celestia’s flank as they walked out of the library and into the rest of their life together.
